  • I end the game. If they weren't toxic and don't wiggle when I pick them up for the last time I give them hatch.

  • Trapper: Pointed Smile, Osseous Overalls, Firebrand Stinger.

Wraith: Glowing Vigil, Fury Waist Wrap, Oozing Spine.

Huntress: Hound, Pelt Lice, Rancid Broadaxe.

Legion: Bloody Legion(Frank), Cozy Holidays, Wet Hunting Knife.

Plague: Bloody Plague, Foul Gown, Putrid Censer.

Ghostface: Bloody Ghostface, Classic Ghostface Shroud, Wet Tactical Blade.

Demogorgon: Full prestige outfit, going to get the new Demo skin that was leaked.

Oni: Sanguinary Mask, Dripping Domestic Armor, Ice Cold Legacy Sword.

  • All my killer mains hang out together when they aren't in a trial in Gas Heaven, my favorite map.

Phillip/Wraith: The dad of the group. Constantly tired. Keeps Susie and Danny in check and breaks up their fights.

Susie/Legion: Little sister of the group. Energetic and really high strung despite the dreariness of the Entity's realms.

Danny/Ghostface: Older brother. Might pick on Susie sometimes but they still get along really well. Always looking out for her.

Adiris/Plague: Still figuring this one out. Maybe grandma figure?

Demogorgon: Cute dog! Susie's pet she found in Hawkins. Has a collar made from one of Hag's Swamp Orchid Necklace addons.

Kazan/Oni: Grandpa. Can keep everyone entertained for hours with his stories. Trying to control himself and goes into Blood Fury whenever someone calls him a demon/oni, but tries to avoid that happening at all costs.

Kenneth/Clown(Soon): Still figuring this one out too. Probably the cool uncle figure.

  • It would be cool, but the devs are most likely going to stay with humanoid killers. Demogorgon, while not human, is still humanoid, and at least it opened the way for new non-human killers like a Xenomorph.

  • Hawkins: This is fair enough. Hawkins is one of the best killer maps, for stealth killers especially.

Sanctum of Wrath: It is a rather large map and incredibly dark. Instead of going with looping, why not try and hide more often? The logs, bamboo, and foliage is more than enough for any killer to lose track of you. Fair enough, the middle of the map is relatively unsafe, but the loops on the outer edge should buy you a good amount of time. It is still large enough that M1 killers like Clown will still struggle on it.

Dedicated Servers: Servers are a mess. Hits connecting when they should/shouldn't, vaults not going through, grabs turning into regular hits, blah blah blah. Servers are a mess for both sides.

Huntress: Again separate problems for both sides, and mostly a byproduct of servers. Her hitboxes have always been godawful, either clipping the tippy top of some debris and not doing anything, or somehow phasing through everything and hitting you when the hatchet looks like it's 20 feet away.

TLDR: Lot's of problems are from servers. Maps have their own problems.

  • Mr. Puddles is going to turn me into a Clown main, and Demo gets an amazing skin too.

  • Devour Hope, STBFL, Brutal Strength, and BBQ is my go to Trapper build. For addons Padded Jaws is a must to get the most out of STBFL, and I like to run one of the Trapper Bag addons for easier set up time.

Feel like they COULD just go nuts though, kinda like they did with the Weathered scarecrow outfit for Wraith. I dont see why they cant go with a cosmetic more monster than Human for Billy.

The most we got was his Hallowed Blight outfit, but still, why not something where he's wearing the skin of the animals he supposedly killed when he escaped, held in place by bones grafted into his skin, IDK. We're just going through Billy's various jobs at this point.

  • My finger gets tired from holding M1 and I can't fall asleep because of skill checks.

  • @AshleyWB said:

I really detest hillbillies outfits anyway, they just don't look interesting at all to me. I like a lot of the other killers outfits but Billy.

They really don't have an attractive theme to them. With Clown he is always an entertainer in some way, Huntress is based on various animals, Doctor usually has him as a therapist of some other medical professional. Billy is like... he's an auto mechanic? And a forest ranger? And a beach bum? And a hunter? Not to mention they always give him facial hair.

  • Guys remember, it's just an addon rework, meaning they will somehow get their basekit changed and will somehow get power bars.

  • This is the true WW3, the food fight in the forums. I'm not a fan of the changes to Ruin or Doctor but really why argue? Devs have made it clear they have their mind set on changing Ruin, just like they did with Nurse's basekit. Why argue at this point if nothing is going to change. I haven't been playing much at all but I might come back to get Mr. Puddles for Clown and might actually become a Clown main.

  • "JuSt PrEsSuRe GeNs 4hEaD"

  • Billy is the strongest of the original 3 killers, and he is the second strongest killer, maybe they are trying to make bank off of him still?

  • @Huff said:

Isn't that the whole entire thing that corrupt intervention is supposed to do? Slow down the game early? Sounds like just letting the perk do its job, similar to just not doing generators while ruin is up. (Different situation but you get the point)

Yeah, but slowing the game down early doesn't mean anything if the killer can't find and hook anybody for pressure. If everyone manages to stealth the killer out for the duration of CI, then it hasn't served its purpose and the killer is stuck with 3 perks for the rest of the match. But this is still really unlikely to happen unless the map is something like Coldwind, an indoor map, or a huge map like Temple of Purgation or Mother's Dwelling, so it is still really possible on a good chunk of maps.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

It's really funny to read "As a survivor player this perk feels like a breath of fresh air now" while talking about a killer perk. That is legit hilarious.

As survivor, Ruin was the only thing that made the mind-numblingly boring task of repairing gens challenging. Regular skill checks just make sure the survivor is only half-asleep at the wheel rather than fully asleep, gen repairing is a joke, and for something that is not entertaining at all to do it rewards very few points.

It's pretty silly that new Ruin benefits killers who can get survivors off gens, and those are the exact killers who didn't need Ruin anyway because they could get survivors off gens. This perk makes them stronger, not that they need it, and it makes the weaker killers even weaker by taking away the perk that gave them a bit of breathing room at the beginning of a match. Brilliant.

What I know is that when I play survivor I can look forward to bringing Small Game every match and then still dying to NOED because I only found four of the five totems, which is pretty up there as one of the most frustrating things about playing solo survivor. Ruin is much less frustrating, and because it's a teachable perk I don't even see Ruin that often when playing against low rank killers. I mean, if 80% of red rank killers use Ruin, and 45% of all killers use Ruin, then that means what, less than 20% of non-red rank killers use Ruin? Isn't that how it averages out, or am I doing the math wrong? If I'm right and it's less than 20%, how is that even an issue for inexperienced survivors? If inexperienced survivors are going up against Ruin a lot, then that shows a problem with matchmaking more than the perk, I'd think.

Dying to NOED multiple times in one night after cleansing 3+ totems is going to get me to turn the game off early a lot more than going against Ruin multiple times in one night, I know that one from past experience.

Matchmaking is so ######### I wouldn't be surprised. Heard they were planning to hide ranks in the post match screen to shut everyone up about matchmaking which is so terrible I can't even explain it. Why fix it when you can sweep it under the rug?

  • I've always wanted to be able to choose my own totem spots considering Hexes always spawn either out in the open, next to a gen, or next to a survivor as soon as they spawn, so this gets a yes from me.

  • I like it, but I think it should be revealed on token 2, considering most people will put two and two together, reversed skill check = Huntress Lullaby.

  • Don't worry, they hid the ranks so matchmaking doesn't even matter now and you'll never know if that was a poor rank 20 you just destroyed :)

    wait lerys best killers map?

i saw much more killers raging and DCing on this map than on any other (except Haddon), because haddonfun, lery and ormond are 3 biggest BS maps that exist

only killers that like this map are stealthy and that wont change xd (nurse, huntress, billy, trapper, clown, oni) dont like this maps because of LOS, movement blockers, traps being visible af

It had one of the best kill rates, along with The Game and Hawkins. All indoor maps, most likely coming from Peek-A-Boo Myers, Ghostface, and stealth killers in general, but Lery's sucks for Nurse, Billy, Oni, Huntress, and Clown.

  • Down someone, hook them, they get unhooked, you go after the unhooker, hook them, find the person you hooked before, down them, and get DSed because you "tunnelled" them.

  • "New Ruin is extremely powerful late game, so it must be a Hex so it never reaches late game."

Except it isn't. New Ruin is just bad. Nowhere near as powerful as it was, and as compensation we get a nerf for a killer who's already low mid-tier, an unneeded rework for a map nobody complained about when maps like Haddonfield still exist, and no acknowledgement of the community when it comes to their opinions. Ignoring all feedback and simply saying "We really like where Ruin is now." Even though most of the community is advocating for how weak new Ruin is.

  • Everything in this update has been for survivors.

Doc? Too annoying. He can make you scream and reveal your position which will usually only help him once in the early game, and he can stun you so you can't vault or drop pallets, meaning you can't get greedy, so don't get greedy and he's as loopable as any other M1 killer.

Lery's? One of the best killer maps because of it's small size and weird pallet/window placements. More of a sidegrade, Lery's will probably stay one of the best killer maps, more of a visual overhaul than anything.

Ruin? Too oppressive for new players, we can't expect them to learn to hit skill checks like everybody else has, nerf it into the ground and give killers no compensation with a survivor perk nerf or killer perk buff, and definitely don't solve or even acknowledge the core issue that caused 80% of killers to run Ruin in the first place.

Balancing for new players is never a good thing to do, remember what happened when Freddy was first released?

  • Devs are dead set on changing it. "Oh We KnOw ThErE wIlL bE a LoT oF oUtRaGe BuT wE lIkE iT" They are straight up ignoring the community at this point.

  • But they are new survivors players, they can't be expected to learn how to hit skill checks and, y'know, learn to play the game like everyone else has. That "Ruin is oppressive for new players" argument is so bullshit. You know what else is oppressive for new players? The killer's existence in general, as it should be. It stays like this until the new players actually learn how to play, and realize the killer isn't as scary as they seem to be, just loop him for 2-3 gens and bam, EZ.

  • Overcharge and PGTW don't work with new Ruin because the gen is already regressing.

I restarted just to make sure. It's definitely the game, not me. Guess it was a mistake? Checking again now.

Might have something to do with the PTB going live right now. Maybe something got mixed up or sent out wrong at BHVR?

  • Considering it still says 24 hours left, it might actually be closing on the 8th. Maybe try restarting? Or maybe an update hasn't shipped out yet?

  • Oh! They are removing ranks from the post match screen as well because they can't fix matchmaking issues. Instead of fixing it they are sweeping it under the rug. I wish I was joking but this is legitimately pathetic.

Damn, I just made a post about it... It's a big mistake in my opinion... But I'm not a dev...

They keep wanting to make it easier for new survivors, but just... no... Balancing around rank 20's isn't good for the high rank players. Red rank survivors are dumbfounded by their logic, killers all around are mad they aren't getting any compensation for the nerf of the most popular killer perk, Doc is getting a nerf, he has a 3 second cooldown after zapping but the stun for survivors only lasts 2.5 seconds, Lery's is getting a rework when literally nobody except for Billy, Nurse, Oni, and Huntress mains were asking for it. 3.5.0, the patch DBD went to hell.

  • @Blueberry said:

No one's playing Spirit because sounds are still broken and not even acknowledged by the devs yet.

The lunge is still bugged for her and Wraith as well.

I finally get my hands on Monster Hunter World: Iceborne in 3 days, that's where I'm going. Not because I'm mad about the changes (more just...defeatist there, I guess) but because I've been looking forward to that launch since it was announced (and then majorly delayed for PC despite them saying they wanted to launch simultaneously this time)

Got Iceborne recently as well, and after going back and finally finishing the Village Quests in Generations Ultimate on the Switch, to say I missed the Handler is a SEVERE overstatement.

  • Ruin is getting nerfed while Devs ignore core issues as to why so many killers ran Ruin. Because the 80% of people that ran it in red ranks cared so much about Gatekeeper.

  • They can't fix matchmaking so they are removing any semblance of it. That Nurse you just destroyed? Good job they were rank 18. Those 4 survivors who played really well and looped you to kingdom come? They were ranks 1-4. Good job devs, patch 3.5.0, the one where everyone is finally done with BHVR's #########.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:

I’m trying to stay optimistic and hoping that the devs just badly worded the notes or that they’ll make some changes when the patch goes live, but it’s getting very hard to do so knowing how these devs are. I’ve been playing Doc since September 2017, and these changes seem very disappointing. I won’t be surprised if Doctor receives more nerfs after the PTB just because ranks 15-20 still struggled a little bit. It’s obvious at this point that Freddy was a fluke and that every Killer will most likely go the way of Legion and Nurse.

Ah, I've cracked the code finally. Freddy was meant for an absolute rework and came out in a much better spot, whereas every other killer that has gotten an "addon" rework has come out completely gutted or trashed. Legion got Legioned again, Nurse has gone from top killer to mid tier, Doc is getting gutted based on these stun times alone, the only outlier is Spirit, who suffers more from a bug WHICH THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED ALONG WITH WRAITH than from the rework itself.

  • I don't care about the Ruin nerfs, but I care about the idea behind it. Devs are reworking things that are annoying for survivors, such as Doc, Lery's and Ruin, but this leaves killers feeling like they are just being nerfed non stop while survivors aren't being brought down in a similar way.

Survivors complain about seeing Ruin every game, Devs nerf it. Killers are complaining about seeing Adrenaline, Dead Hard, and DS but nothing gets changed for them. Lery's is one of the best killer maps and it gets nerfed, whereas there are maps like Mother's Dwelling and Haddonfield that are terrible for killers but they don't get changed.

I just recently found that there are windows on top of the ship on swamp. After 500 hours :D

These along with the windows on the Cabin in Mother's Dwelling took me way too long to figure out.

  • Depending on the cosmetics, and as for tiers I just bought the last two because I just can't be arsed to grind it out, especially since I'm taking a break from DBD for new games that are actually fun and not frustrating to play.

  • As much as I like the series and would be perfectly fine with having a chapter for FNaF I just can't see it working out. The only logical character would be William Afton/Springtrap as a Killer, seeing as he was an actual murderer, but he never really had a unique shtick compared to other animatronics so I don't really kno what they could do for him.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

Billy and LF changes are confirmed. Most likely both will get addon changes, because their addons don't fit in the addon schema from BHVR.

In the case of billy the changes will most likely be nerfs and in the case of LF buffs.

Knowing BHVR's track record for "addon changes", this means Billy and Leatherface will somehow get a power bar and have to refuel their chainsaws, or at the very least a general nerf.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Some game is better than no game at all.

Really? I'd rather not play if it meant I went against 4 rank 20 Dwights or a rank 20 killer. That poor guy is never going to want to play killer again probably, toss in a GGEZ and we aren't getting any new players ever again. This is like asking a baby to beat to world's best chess player who has been playing for years, who do you think will win?

Imagine at all getting that code. Dude with thousands of players on forum your chance are almost none... 10/1000 and see it for your self not to mentions that this is just a portion of the players.

Don't be angry for not getting a code, someone get's it and someone not.

If you keep acting like that then maybe they will stop doing this at all.

It's not the fact that it's first come first serve, but rather the fact that console players were excluded entirely. Meaning if you did manage to find a code first but you played on console you got jack diddly squat, even though you were the first one to find it. Then there's the whole fact that about half of the people on the forum were sleeping. It would've been a much better idea to spread the codes throughout the day and throw a few console exclusive codes in the console forums.

  • On console through my TV, so definitely not.

  • ######### ######### ######### ######### ######### #########. I have to gimp myself by playing a killer I don't even like with ######### perks at red ranks against 4 man SWF with toolboxes, keys, and flashlights because they ######### up Wraith's lunge and Trapper is the only killer I have Agitation on.

Really annoying when the sound glitches. I was guarding the basement at end game collapse, I heard something, but I couldn't figure out what. Someone unhooked in the basement, but it didn't make the right sound and I couldn't hear the injured survivors. Scared the crap out of me when I turned and had both in my face.

Gotta love how it only effects killers, you know, the role that relies on sound the most.

  • @T2K said:

Agree. Sounds are a mess. I downed two people pretty close to each other. I swear I couldnt find the first one because I couldnt hear her.

Had also a game on coldwind where a injured nea chilled in the corner behind an obstacle. I could only hear her when I stood right behind her. No iron will

Mine is worse. Sounds are getting flipped. I could be facing away from a gen and hear it more clearly than if I was facing it. Applies to all sounds survivors make too 🙃 I ######### love this game. /s

  • Wraith: My first true main. I love the bell, and can manage to give survivors a good scare now and then.

Legion: I like the gameplay of Legion. Hitting all 4 survivors in one chain feels amazing and I love doing it every time.

Plague: Picked up Plague because I liked her Hallowed Blight outfit. Having everybody Broken is great and Corrupt Purge is the cherry on top.

Ghostface: Love the Scream Franchise and the stealth aspect along with stalking. Seeing a survivor run around like a chicken without a head after you Mark them is hilarious.

Demo: Never watched ST, but love the powerful monster vibe Demo gives off. Those roars are amazing.

Oni: I dunno, I like his cosmetics and power.
