I was really happy that Bill's was free. My main actually has a different cosmetic now! I've been using Susie's sweater too. At least two members of the Legion can stay warm in Ormond!

Wrong.
Do you play Oni? Be honest.
I play Oni. On console. P3 level 25. Haven't played any other killer since his release.
-
I have never seen a group of people so upset of a change. Relax guys, Oni is still perfectly viable, the flick wasn't even intended. Now you can play the killer how he was actually meant to be played.

I like how people complain about the person that gen rush, like what do you expect people to do? just stand still in the corner of the map? It's literallythe only objective in the game.
This is the problem. Why would I do dull totems if I can just do gens and get out? Why search chests when I have better items in the Bloodweb? Survivors need a second objective so they have something else to do besides gens.

I heard someone say Ash was getting one?
Ash is getting one, so is Nancy, Steve, Jane, Tapp, and Susie and Joey from Legion.

I agree with this. I saw Noob3 and Farmer John playing Oni making these crazy turns during Demon Strike and was so jealous. Just constantly saying "They wouldn't have hit that if they were on console."

Monster Hunter is such a great franchise. I still have to get through MH Generations Ultimate.

It may be because of dedicated servers. If you swing immediatelty after leaving stealth, sometimes you won't get your speedboost, and it really hurts.
No, I'm on Xbox and this happens every time.
-
Compare that to nowadays where killers like Pig, Oni, Ghostface, and Plague have a short novel to read to understand their power.
-
It might just be prayer to the Entity. If the killers know what the Void is then it makes even more sense. It's basically saying "Hear me, protect me, I'm still useful, don't throw me into the Void, I'll still kill for you and feed you."

It really is unfortunate (and before certain people get huffy, I think you are right in regards to there being a factor into why he hasn’t received as much love and attention :/ Not that it’s intentional but that kind of thing is unfortunately baked into our society :()
I hope he gets more things!
Are you trying to make this a race thing? Adam doesn't get played because of lack of cosmetics, and why would I play Adam when Claudette has both more cosmetics and better stealth capabilities, not to mention a smaller frame because of the nature of the female models and better perks to boot. This literally has nothing to do with race. The race argument doesn't hold up either because Claudette is one of the most popular survivors, and some people just straight up don't like Adam for no reason at all, or they prefer another survivor. Don't try to make this a race thing when it clearly isn't.

Oni is one of Spirit's ancestors. The son of possibly the first Yamaoka, Renjiro Yamaoka, as he was said to be the first Yamaoka in Japan, who came by boat, as seen in the description of the Splintered Hull addon.

Come on BHVR, you know we want it.
Also, shirtless soul chest Freddy when?
-
I like the idea of Ghost being base kit, but feel that Bone Clapper would be a bit too strong in his basekit.
-
It's from Tru3. Apparently Wraith is top 3 material, and in my opinion, a Wraith main since January 2018 when I started playing DBD, that couldn't be more wrong. Wraith is high C-tier at best.

Leatherface is getting a total rework soon-ish.
Legion I think will be getting some changes; (no offense) some more thought out changes because there was already a topic with some superfans problem solving; and it was forwarded to the live balance team for looking into.
Wraith and Trapper seem to be going unchanged though, I wonder if it's because they are base game?....No money to be had in it?...I dunno...
They seem to be avoiding making any major changes/reworks to the original 3 killers. Hence why Hillbilly has gone unchanged, and Wraith and Trapper only got some QoL changes by making some addons basekit and getting total addon reworks.

I'd love to see the PTB on consoles, since it only gets tested on a PC platform, but does anyone test those same things on console before it hits? If they added it to console as well, something like a Add-on that only works during PTB phases, then we could possibly see less bugs
Less bugs and would let us test sensitivity dependent killers like Demogorgon and Oni before release.

Hex: Third Seal
It is extremely fun if it actually gains some traction, but unfortunately its a Hex, so its survival chances are too slim to justify running it.
Not to mention Blindness has no effect on SWF with comms. On solo queue Blindness is actually really strong.

I really like "The Gambler" build
Ace in the Hole, Up the Ante, Plunderer's Instinct, and a perk of your choice.
Hope for some really good items and addons from a chest and go from there.

No, incorrect.
It punishes the killer many times when he does not tunnel.
I'm fine with it being an anti tunnel perk, it just currently is not.
This is the big thing with DS. Even if you go after the unhooker, the timer is so long that there is still a big chance you'll get hit with it anyway, even though you didn't tunnel. I think the perfect change would be
- When another survivor is hooked while DS is active, the perk deactivates. Gain a 10% speed boost to unhooking actions.

I think it was the 50 escapes video, although I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure its from one of his streams.

They should shrink the map a bit and add an inner sanctum to the main building, like the Temple of Purgation.
That would basically require a whole map rework, which I don't see them doing, especially as it was just released last week.

yeah. it’s dumb. killers should have to WORK to activate it. it’s fair and is like we have to ACTUALLY WORK for MoM.
its completely fair. just because something does support your 4k every time doesn’t mean you have to be against it.
period.
Going with this, survivors should actually have to WORK to activate DS. It is a 60 second invulnerability timer after being unhooked with no downsides.
It's completely fair, just because something means you can't escape every game doesn't mean you have to be against it.
Period.

I usually run Dying Light, Thanataphobia, BBQ, and Nurses Calling.
I would also recommend BBQ, Nurses Calling, Hex: Devour Hope, and Bamboozle.
-
I hope so. Huntress is usually the one who gets cosmetics from the Chinese New Year, and next year is year of the rat and I really want to see what they do with that.
-
I took a break from DBD when Shattered Bloodlines came out. I came back after Demise of the Faithful was released, and in all my time playing I have never seen the snow plow. I saw it in one of Noob3's videos, and it looked like a really strong loop, so maybe that's why they got rid of it? From what I saw, it supported Balanced Landing and had geometry on the tracks of it that survivors could easily run up but killers couldn't, giving survivors an unfair advantage at this particular loop.
-
That's more of a curse than a blessing. I'd rather the map be game breaking so I could derank. I miss actually having fun in yellow and brown ranks as a baby killer :(

I think hes pretty good, if you can nail his sprint and keep pressure,
what's a 6 flap?
Basically a 6 pack, but instead of muscles, it's fat. Honestly, screw this whole debate, just remove any and all shirts in the game.

It's only use is to prevent Dead Hard basically. Been forced to use it on Oni and that is the only thing I've noticed. It's a bad perk, don't use it unless you're going for Adept Oni.

Well, what else are we to assume? Even BHVR'S stats show that killers are performing at 50% or above. Since they have said several times that 2 kill average is where they want to be, it means they are in the right range. You must want more than 2 per match if you are asking for buffs.
I main Trapper and have no problem getting red rank every month. I'm not even that good. There are definitely things on both sides that need to be looked at, but killers in general are in a good place.
We shouldn't go off of ranking/pipping. Legion, one of the worst killers, is incredibly easy to rank with die to the nature of their power. You could probably have 3, maybe even 4 survivors escape, and still pip or probably even double pip. Does this mean Legion is a good killer by any means? Hell no! Again, by this logic, Hillbilly, Ghostface, and every instadown killer would be terrible, because they are very hard to pip with, again, because of the nature of their power.

@Spooky13 you forgot
14. window vacuum,
15 insta gens(old old bnp),
16 half of the infinite windows (now half of buildings that had infinite windows have them closed/nerfed/50% to spawn or its ironworks of infinite)
17 Ballanced landing creating infinites
18 hook respawn
19 gens took less time
20 no exhaust (so you could run every speed perk)
btw if they would add vanila dbd that would be living hell for killers (even if they would have old ebony mori) except nurse
Hell, I think even Nurse or Spirit would have trouble in vanilla DBD. A coordinated 4 man SWF with BNP could end the game in under 3 minutes, on top of having crazy chase potential and being able to heal super fast. Back in 1.0.0, Self Care healed at 80% of regular speed, Exaustion had a cooldown of 20 seconds, a Sabo Squad could make the game practically unwinnable. Anyone who thinks these changes should've stayed is out of their minds.

@Vetrathene said:
After infinite was added faster vacuum pallets. And SWF. And smaller survivor hit boxes, creating looping, which is still an exploit to this day. After that survivors where given increased time to hang on hook before they died, making them have more leeway to make mistakes and stay on gens. And that was at the same time as the killer cube, the most one sided change to ranking during the entire life of this game. Its been up and down and back and forth for both sides, and will continue to be so. That dosen't change the fact that killers needs buffs.
Can't agree that looping is an exploit. It's the survivors main defense against killers. If no one could loop the game would be over before a single gen could be touched.

@FearedbytheGods said:
Trajectory of the game has been killer sided.
Infinites gone, vaulting/perk/map/pallet nerfs, bloodlust added, end game timer added, hatch close added. All this has made being killer easier and survivor harder since release.
2 escapes, 2 kills is the devs unit of metric. You don’t have to like that but it’s whats given the survivors all their nerfs and all the killers current buffs.
The OP's post doesn't really take into consideration the overall perspective of the current state of the game.
Maybe because all of these changes were healthier for the game's longevity? Take a look back at footage from anytime before Curtain Call was released, so around before summer 2018. The game was so survivor sided it wasn't even funny. Let's list a few things that were broken and survivor sided back then.
1. Pallet Vacuum
2. Exhaustion recovering while running, meaning potentially 2 Sprint Bursts, 2 Balanced Landings, 2 Dead Hards, in one chase.
3. No Entity blocker, meaning infinites were truly infinite.
4. Instablinds
5. Instaheals
6. Self Care pre nerf
7. Many killers were in a worse spot, Hag, Trapper, Wraith, and especially Freddy, all of them being great examples before getting a few QoL changes.
8. Insane amounts of pallets on maps.
9. Old DS
10. Old Mettle of Man
11. Survivors prolonging the endgame for no reason before EGC.
12. Hatch standoffs
13. No Bloodlust. You could run a killer around the Shack for the whole game.
That's an easy 13, when there are so many more things to be listed. You can't deny it, the game was very heavily survivor sided back then. These things were removed to make the game healthier for killers, who were the laughing stock of the game until Curtain Call started fixing everything. These changes were all very necessary, and have left the game in a much better spot than it was during 2016 - Mid 2018.
Edit: For some more great examples, take a look at this video from March 2018.

Any Killer when reaching 3 Tokens on Devour Hope.
Even someone like Hillbilly orsuddenly Shape suddenly become a way bigger threat.
And not necessarily because of the 3-Token bonus, but because of the upcoming threat to kill without conditions.
Devour Hope > Ruin gang. I don't use DH on killers with easy instadowns already, like Billy or Oni.
I'm trying slowdown Legion with Nurses, BBQ, Thana, and Dying Light and have been getting pretty good results, but am considering dropping Thana for DH. You know what that means? Legion nerf time!
I usually get good results with these builds:
Wraith: Brutal Strength, Devour Hope, Nurses Calling, BBQ.
Legion: Thanataphobia, BBQ, Nurses Calling, Dying Light.
Plague: Ruin, BBQ, Thana, Dying Light.
Ghostface: Brutal Strength, Discordance, Nurses Calling, BBQ.
Demogorgon: Enduring, BBQ, Nurses Calling, Devour Hope.
Oni: Distressing, Infectious Fright, PGTW, BBQ.
BBQ best perk.

As a rank 4 killer, I've been seeing all types of survivors. Purple, red, green, yellow, hell, I came across a rank 18 today. Matchmaking has been ######### up again, and they wonder why we want to see the rank of the other survivors on our team.
-
Running into walls, trees, and rocks, especially after being hit, wasting the free Sprint Burst.
For killer, I mind game myself WAY too much. I could run myself around anything for at least 5 minutes, especially if I see the slightest hint of Scratch Marks nearby. I need an adult ;-;
-
Ruin, Devour Hope, BBQ, PGTW, Sloppy Butcher, Nurses Calling
-
Being stealthy is fine and a perfectly valid tactic. As a killer, the problem for me comes when no gens are done, two people are dead, and the remaining two hide and never work on gens and prolong the match for no good reason. As a survivor, I play stealthy, well, as stealthy as a Bill in a sweater can, at least. Play how you want, use what perks you want, just be a decent human being.
-
I think it could very well be Sally who burned it down. From the Crotus Prenn lore page:
"But it was not the residents that etched the name Crotus Prenn into the history books. Instead it was the mass homicide where over fifty patients were found dead in their beds. The building was abandoned shortly after that. Investigators had no answers, and the town's folk became more and more worried as rumours talked about a woman still living inside the asylum. Finally, one night, smoke rose from the woods as Crotus Prenn had been set ablaze. The bystanders did nothing. They just let it burn."
This shows that is was probably Sally who burned it down, which ties in with her Match Box addon.

I think entity values diversity, why take a bunch of Demogorons when you can have a Xenomorph and Pumpkinhead too? I hear people say that the entity only cares about the trails but then why would it make cosmetics and such? I think the entity views the survivors and killers as a collection
We also know the group we can play as aren't the only ones in the realm because i remember the alchemist mentioning a place where everyone that's no longer useful to the entity ends up
Every person the Entity has no use for ends up in The Void. Whether it be survivors who have lost all hope, thus not providing nourishment to the Entity, or presumably killers who stopped killing, again, not providing nourishment. As for whether the diversity, we don't know. We don't really know the true machinations of the Entity, all we know is that it feeds off of strong emotions, such as love, hate, anger, and hope.

And then you had to ruin it.
Mmm, but just imagine the sweat under that belly. Nice and aged, like a fine wine.
I am now left wondering what I did in my life to end up here. Please send help.

Yeah, this challenged sucked playing. I ended up going in as Wraith with NOED, Blood Warden, BBQ, and Devour Hope. I ended up just camping a gate when two were injured, preventing them from running out, and the EGC timer ran out, sacrificing both of them. The match was horrible and I had no fun doing it.

You could wait until survivors are right underneath your feet, hold M1 for half a second, and bam, easy instadowns. Never charge it all the way unless you know for sure a survivor is going to jump a window or pallet, or if they are in a long straightaway, like the hallways in Hawkins. Charging it takes time, makes you go further if you miss, and gives survivors a huge amount of leeway with the time it takes to recover from a missed Demon Strike. It's a lot harder to hit on console due to sensitivity being trash with no options for it, but just give it some time and you'll get it down.
-
Micheal, both in the films and in game, isn't seen as a man, or usually as even human. He is seen as the personification of pure evil. A cold, unfeeling killing machine, a mass of muscle with no conscience. Pure evil. Dr. Loomis says it best:
"I met him, fifteen years ago; I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding; and even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six year old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes... the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... evil."
-
Got it for Christmas 2017. Basically my parents gave me one of those Christmas catalogues, and flipping through it I saw DBD in the video game section. I remembered seeing some gameplay from when it was very new and decided "Hey, why not, sure, I'll take that one." Didn't end up playing it until January because I was playing ARK, which I also got for Christmas that year. I know for my first game I played Doctor on an Autohaven map, I think Gas Heaven, because I remember a maze of cars. Thought his power was like a minefield, so I just went around zapping whenever I pleased. Don't remember getting into a single chase lol

Legion feels a lot better to play now. The thing is, Legion was nerfed at first due to exploits like moonwalking and Frank's + Stab Wound's Study. Now that these are gone and Legion has their old movement speed back, can we please keep the speed and make Feral Frenzy activate Sloppy and STBFL?
