Um.....yes it is.
Is it harder? Of course.
But impossible? Nonsense. I play almost exclusively solo and can manage to escape a fair amount from bottom to top ranks.
I don't deny it's a chore, but when you go with absolutes like 'It's impossible' your point becomes less credible.
Losing nine matches out of ten does not immediately make it a map, palate or fog density problem, and to be honest, even as a survivor they were a bit much back then.
-
Lol of course killers are toxic too and nearly everybody knows it, they just like complaining about survivors doing it more because simple math dictates you will hear it more from the higher ratio of players.
I wouldn't even be able to post up the greatest hits I've received over the years because I'd have to redact half of it or likely get a forum ban, and the hilarious thing is, I am one of those chill players least likely to 'Deserve It' which is the excuse a lot of people use when you tell them survivors get it too.
-
I actually dodge lobbies as a survivor if I see a set of identical neon bright cosmetic wearing characters on my team. I've had too many of those groups block me into a corner or block doorways in order to get me killed to deal with it anymore. There are some cool SWF's who won't do this or wont just consider you expendable, but on average the identicals tend to grief you as much as they do the killer sometimes.

unironically propnight is quite fun and gives a similar 'hold button on an object' --> chase/stealth style of gameplay, albeit far more interesting ones
I'm actually looking forward to that. I remember someone playing a modded version of DBD made up as a prop hunt game, nearly died when I saw a locker vault and the killer chasing a fleeing hook. I know prop night won't be the same but it still looks very funny.

We barely saw plague before her changes, can we not immediately ask for a nerf, I would like to actually play against her again at some point.

So, as I gradually get better (now at a point where I'll happily call myself 'intermediate') I'm starting to notice some weird idiosyncrasies with how survivors play.
The one that completely baffles me though is that, when I go to hook someone, there is another survivor who immediately crouches down by the hook. All that happens is that I hit them, I hang and then I usually chase them down and hook them next.
Aside from situations where maybe a second or two of extra time will cause me to drop someone, all that's happening is that you're giving me a free hit.
Similarly, whenever I try to play survivor, there is always someone who either tries this - or simply lurks around the hook in full view of the killer, and usually gets taken down next.
Am I totally misunderstanding some weird quirk of the game here? I'm not seeing any benefits to doing this.
I'm always packing kindred so I get to watch these little shows and as stated above, it's a trick they are trying to perform but....it's hardly ever effective. If they do get them down, the killer is usually barely 2 feet away, half the time the hook saver is injured and without BT. Most of the time you just end up swapping yourself on hook or worst case scenario, the killer is really on the ball and now there are two people hooked, and if the killer gets two hooks close together, your team has lost all momentum because no way the killer wants to leave that area now.
I will point out, however, that as a player who runs a safe unhook and heal build, I am a bit more vehement on this subject than most, because it's hard to watch people do the lemming dance by the hook when you could have just waited a few seconds to get a safe save, even without specific perks.

I dont get why people are so hateful to others, like seriously doesnt matter what role they're playing or if they are better or worse there is no reason to be rude, mean or just straight up disrespectful.
We're meant to be a "community" and all it ever seems to be is fighting over things or trying to upset, bully or BM someone....
Did I miss something? Like seriously take a hard look at yourself and think about your actions. It's not funny or cool to be rude. I hate how I see my teammates bully a killer, or other survivors BM other survivors, I hate the toxicity and entitlement.
Maybe just maybe we could be understanding? Polite? Somewhat nice?
Higher skill than the killer? Dont BM about it.
Someone DCs early? Dont 3man slug the others.
You lost? Just say gg
You won? Say gg
Its honestly sad that if you give compliments to people in this game even if they lost it makes there day. Just imagine how bad of a community it must be for people to never receive anything nice but instead just hate.
Yeah it's a rant, but damn do I hate horrible people, even if you ain't doing it to me personally just dont. Definitely grew up in a different generation pfft.
There are those of us who do our best to be empathetic no matter which side we are on. But honestly, after years of watching people pummel each other verbally over a game, you begin to see a futility in saying anything to maybe calm the situation because the fact is, being booty holes to each other is almost seen as an extension of the game to some people. At that point, the best you can do is just not be one of them.

I am not referring to its effects and comparisons, I am against that they can be activated multiple times without having any reuse penalty or that they can only be activated once.
No you're trying to justify being able to remove two perks from the game entirely in the same amount of time as it takes to kick a gen, by using killer hexes in comparison. But if you look at boons and their limitations, they aren't comparable to hexes. They aren't map wide, they aren't automatically there at the start of the game, You can slow down the blessings, hear them very clearly and it takes next to no time to destroy.
I'm not against placing limitations on them, I think that would be healthy and no, i don't think the current state of being able to immediately re-bless is fair. But neither is killing two perks in a matter of seconds. Cooldown or two tokens per match would be my suggestion.

Boon Totems have limited range. Hex Totems do not.
Boon Totems can be snuffed out in two seconds. Hex Totems take fourteen *by default*, and can be increased.
The Killer can't be interrupted while snuffing out a Boon Totem. Survivors can be interrupted while cleansing a Hex Totem.
Boon Totems can be heard from a good distance away. Hex Totems can be heard from only a few meters away.
They are not equivalent. Stop trying to nerf Boon Totems based on the balancing of Hexes.
I mean he has a point. If you want to start basing the nerfing of boon totems on whats happens with killer totems then it should work both ways. Not to mention that no side should have the power to snuff out two potential perks in 2 seconds, that would be ridiculous.
Add a cooldown or something similar, give a killer a chance to relight them, sure, I can see that maybe being fairer, but one two second stomp and bye bye two perks because killers can't re-hex a map wide effect? Nah, that's not balance.
-
You ask why survivors BM while being dismissive and insulting about survivors in general. So what about that attitude inspires anyone to treat their opponent with respect?
I don't BM as a rule because I'm above the age of 12, but simple math will tell you why you will get more survivors with a bad attitude than you will with killers. It's not a survivor-only problem, though I will concede that 'mob mentality in a match can encourage others to follow suit. I'll also point out I don't consider perks/tactics/anything purposely implemented in-game to be used, as toxic. My beef is usually what happens after match.
Literally just had a game with camping Iri Huntress who made the effort to message me after the match to inform me they would come to my home and engage me in practices against my will. Presumably, because my perk build made it difficult to camp or slug the entire team.
It's an issue entirely due to internet anonymity allowing players to believe they have massive E-Peens and can get away with stuff they wouldn't dare try in real life. Been here long enough to know that despite it being more noticeable on the survivor side due to the aforementioned numbers and mob mentality, Not seeing it as much from killers does not make it a survivor-only problem. It's a terrible people problem.

The whole purpose of this is to just go completely unnoticed and break every damn totem you detect, it has been so fun and at my survivor MMR, half of the time we still get a good amount of gens done, it's dumb fun that I can't get tired of
You know this build brings to mind those hilarious stealth moments in skyrim when you played an archer. One dude asking 'what was that?' with an arrow stuck in his forehead. It often feels like that when i play perks like this and i just managed to squeak into a hiding spot and the killer is looking for the scoundrel who broke his bones.
Killer: Who keeps breaking my totems?!

Empathy, Kindred, We'll Make it, we're gonna live forever
This isn't a set-in-stone build but I am definitely the person you want to see coming to the rescue. I could use BT but honestly, with Kindred, I rarely have to unhook in the killer's face.
Empathy - Not only does it show me who's injured when I still have decent time left on We'll make it, it roughly tells me the killer's position when they are in a chase.
Kindred - We all love to see this one in game
We'll make it. - You're safely off the hook and healed in a few seconds...what's not to love, then you have a good few seconds left to go heal up anyone else injured super fast.
WGLF - Honestly, I used to slap this on for BP gain, but given its change, it's excellent in getting those slugged players up and back in play. It's also an extra incentive to take those hits for teammates when needed.
I'll swap out Empathy or WGLF for something else every few games just to keep it interesting, but if you are a utility player it's a decent build that can have quite the effect on how a match goes.

You might try playing killer for bloodpoints tho.
I heard they get soo much of those.
I mean you could well have spotted the problem. We've been asking for some sort of bloodpoint increase for a few years now or at least some way to trade in the ton of USELESS items/offerings we're forced to collect in order to get what we really want from the web, for more BP. But perhaps it's in BHVR's best interest to keep it as it is to get survivor players to switch up to some killer playtime.
The grind is....tedious. Especially when you can play your heart out and still hit under 50k even with WGLF, then you have to waste 7k or more because a pink bulb or key I'm never gonna use, is in the way. Of all the things that have been changed lately, I'm both surprised and not surprised that the blood web is still the same.
If they don't want to change BP gain then at least do something about the mountain of useless items and addons we have to trudge through so we aren't wasting what little we get, just to get to what we actually need.

Solo Q for me has been a mix of :
Teams that seem to go absolute lemming at the first hook.
Teams where half the players are obviously new and get curb stomped
Teams where I can get up to 4 unhooks, win a chase, do 2 gens and then watch my team mates aura-tbag ME at the gates
Games where i feel like crap because the killer is obviously new and getting curb stomped
So yeah, its been a mixed bag where climbing towards a half-decent team who won't leave you on your first hook, or just belly flop on the hook themselves has become very difficult.

i don't want anything to be pointless either, naturally non-designers will be quite hamfisted in their approach with suggestions given they often feel personally accosted by particular things in the game hence said nuclear option
but it's a given why they often start with exhaustion perks since it's 16 perks vs 4 and in reality it's 12 vs 4 because the first four in a decent lobby are dedicated to potentially making every single chase (including after pickups/hookbombs since that resets it) an absolute hell
Oh I understand the hell, it's why i do my best to not be a complete douche to killers both in and out of the game. I play killer very little these days, because it IS frustrating and a lot of the time you feel as useless as a chocolate tea pot, I simply don't have the mental fortitude for it. Can't imagine what it would be like in red ranks, i'd tear my hair out.

while your name is obscenely cute i must point out that exhaustion perks -are- the meta, have been since their introduction and always will be best in slot for one of your perk slots and there just isn't any way around it - these are perks that an entire shared status effect cooldown system was made for and constantly nerfed they were so insanely potent for a one-off
so in that sense, you do need to actually hit them if you want to disrupt them for perk diversity because put whatever other perks you want in the other three slots, sprint burst/dead hard/lithe/balanced landing on the right map is absolutely and wholly superior to any other option as far as gameplay/points/living is concerned
I mean, I never argued that they shouldn't be touched, and I understand your point, but my point was; You can certainly get exhaustion perks nerfed to uselessness, but a new meta would appear and then the whole circular argument will come again.
I will concede however, I do not play on a very competitive level, and I think that's where a great divide on opinions can happen. I get to what was the top end purple tier most months as I play a ton of other games, so I don't get the 'frustrated to the point I want to tear down' whatever inconveniences me the most in matches, though I understand how easily it can happen.
I just don't think that the nuclear option will always give the results people think it will as we have learned time and time again.
-
I mean, the devs could nerf exhaustion perks into the ground but we all know what will happen. There will be a new meta, survivors will adapt to use it well, and then it will be called OP too.
At the end of the day, I'm not a fan of exhaustion perks (admittedly because I use them so little I tend to forget I have them) so I'm good either way, but people need to come up with a better idea for things they find annoying than just "Nerf it into the ground" That's not asking for balance, at least not balance for both sides, that's just going to the extremes due to frustration.
Some people have some decent ideas, but the whole "Nerf it, it's not fair' idea just makes me roll my eyes when either side does it.

@Sonzaishinai said:
Won't that make them useless though?
They aren't map wide, they aren't active at the start and to activate them you have to give the killer what they vallue most, time.
You could spend all that time setting them up just to be gone in a couple of seconds if the killers happens to go near it. If they were a one and done deal no one would use them and we'd go back to the boring old meta.
And before anyone starts comparing them to hexes that are a one and done deal. The only hexes that are used are ruin and devour with undying to protect them cause those hexes straight up win you the game if they aren't found.
Boons aren't anywhere near that. Do we really want those perks to become like third seal where you see them maybe once every 100 matches as a meme but all 99 other matches are the same old meta.
Survivors finally have a couple of perks that are strong but have a cost asociated with them. Lets not make them not worth using so they go back to their strong perks they get for free
I mean, you're not wrong. Say killers get what they want (I'm neutral, boons can stay or change, its not an issue for me) and boon totems get nerfed to their satisfaction and likely to the point where they have really, not much appeal for the effort involved, especially if you want the pair rather than just one.
A month or so later, people will be back to the old rhetoric of "Why do survivors always bring in the same second chance perks, why don't they change the meta?!"
If you don't like the new perks, cool, I can somewhat understand. But don't pick something based off what makes you feel is 'justified' or makes you feel that its 'fair' from just your point of view. Actually, come up with something that at least leaves a survivor something to work with. Insta destroying a potential two perks would cheese either side off, so I don't know why its being proposed with any amount of seriousness. A cooldown or counter system sounds way fairer. And if you're going to suggest destroying them then I'm sorry, but the act of destroying potentially two perks at the same time, should actually take some time, not a couple of seconds.
Otherwise yes, survivors are going to go back to what they know is effective and everyone will go back to asking why the game seems stale and when are we going to nerf Dead Hard.

As a Resident Evil fan, i love the details added to the map. As a dbd player, it is a literal nightmare.
-
Some of these aren't licensed but hell here goes....
Spirit - Samara (Ring)
Freddy - I don't think I'm alone in wanting Robert Englund here...
Quentin - ....or Nancy here
Steve - Hopper
Demo - Xenomorph. As much as I love the franchise I can't help but think the Alien's power would be janky and buggy what with its ability to climb walls. I'd be happy with a demo skin and call it close enough.
Nurse: Despite the fact that she floats, I'd still love to see a silent hill nurse outfit for her (I mean if we're talking impossible wishes here)
Micheal, Bubba and Pyramid head are just too damn iconic to think of anything better tbh
Nemesis - I like him as he is, but I wish we could dress up the zombies. Even better if killers could collect skins like Leatherface and dress Kevin and Karen (my names for the annoying buggers) in the latest survivor chic. Or just add character skins from RE itself.
Pinhead - I'll go somewhat against the grain here and say the female cenobite as I always found her creepy
-
Huntress and piggy's wee tantrum and squeak when they get stunned. It's freaking adorable!!
-
My opinion is....I would die.... a lot.
I would spend my first 100 games against that perfect organism, getting ritually eviscerated because I would be fangirling so damn hard I'd be unable to move!
-
This is a hard one for me, because I typically don't consider most, if any perks, as unfair, I'm a pretty chill player that rolls with the punches. So I'll step into some other shoes and pick two that make me roll my eyes or make sad violin noises when I see them.
Make your choice - Ok so straight up I don't consider this perk op, though it can be devastating in the right hands when it comes to snowballing. However, I run an ambulance build, which means I'm usually on point to save with kindred and we'll make it, plus I don't unhook in people's faces. Nine times out of ten, this works beautifully, until I get slapped with an exposed status and a very happy killer is coming for my ass if I don't learn to hide real quick!
Self care - Again, not OP IMO, but dear god I have lost count of the matches where I go from my first hook state to my second in one sitting because 2 out of three potential rescues are in opposite corners slowly healing against a slow heal debuff, while the third guy is being chased nowhere near me.
-
What would i do? Probably sit back and watch the forums as each side writes their essays on how the other side having a 5th perk slot is over powered, likely citing how this move makes the devs killer / survivor sided and then probably take a break for a month or two till the uproar died down.

IMO, the only gen tapping nerf needed is it should take 1-2 seconds of continuous repairing to stop regression.
Brutal Strength could be buffed to do a small amount of gen progress loss but base kit shouldn't be changed.
I mean, even as a survivor, this or an actual skill check isn't asking for much, when right now you can tap a gen mid chase if you were careful enough.

So I had this match yesterday where I was playing Cenobite.
I found a survivor pretty quickly and he ran straight to my box where I downed him and started the Chain Hunt. Then as soon as I put him on the hook he suicided, 3 escape attemts, no struggle skillchecks. He left his team with an ongiong Chain Hunt and on player less in an unwinable situation (5 generators up). Of course I reported that survivor.
I do not want this "win" and I do not care about MMR. I want to play a good game, have fun chases and land some sick chains around loops, corners and behind walls and stack my BBQ full. Also I want the survivors to have a good experience or at least one not tainted by unsportman like behaivor like this.
Now the question to all those who play survivor: What do you think? How should I as a Killer deal with this situation?
Honestly, trust yourself to deal with it as you see fit, given your own set of morals. Personally, I would have waited out someone stopping the chain hunt, let them get a free gen, and then resume as normal if the survivors aren't running to me so I can whack them and let them move on.
As a survivor, I tend to try anyway, there has been more than a few 3 people 5 gen wins in my playtime, so I tend not to throw in the towel right away in those instances.
The only thing that sucks in this instance, is the killer taking it out on the rest of the team with a slug bleed out or one by one hard facecamp.
At the end of the day, you know the type of player you want to be, regardless of anybody telling you that you 'should do it this way', so roll with the punches and when this occurs again, use your best judgment.
-

As a Resident Evil fan I love it. As a survivor, it's a royal pain in the butt.
-
Honestly, I'd prefer killers to play how you want to play. It isn't your fault that someone DC'd because they can't cope with a certain killer/ power/ map or simply getting downed first. The only thing I would ever ask of a killer is to just not take the actions of one or two DC babies out on the ones who have stayed and at least tried to keep the game going.
We know it's going to be harder, we know our chances of getting out alive have been slashed some, so there is honestly no need to be a d**k about it. And by being a d**k I don't mean actually doing your job, I don't expect you to throw the game in sympathy. But something like slugging everyone and watching them bleed out is....unnecessary. Yeah, I get it, you're still doing your job but in the most obnoxious and drawn-out way.
Also when it comes to being a survivor in a game where someone DC's and the killer decides to be nice and just farm for points, I always ask them to 3rd hook me. It's my way of attempting to at least compensate the killer for their robbed points since they just basically hand fed us a decent amount and allowed us access to escape. I actually tend to find that most killers won't 3rd hook me, but it doesn't hurt to let them know that yes, you sympathize that they got somewhat screwed too.
I very occasionally swf with one of my buddies, and we actually have a rule where if two survivors DC, we pretty much head to the killer with our hands up, basically giving them a chance to end the game early and move on. Some give us points then kill, some just kill and some insist on our escape, and most interactions end up being hilarious because the killer says "Screw it" and meme's about for a while.
I guess this is my long winded way of saying, killer or survivor, play how you want to play after one or multiple DC's, just have some compassion for the other side because at the end of the day, you both got screwed in one way or another, and while you don't have to throw games or farm, you don't need to attempt to punish the people who stayed because of the ones that couldn't hack it and tapped out.
-
Honestly my more frustrating games have been recent. I have run into five or six games in the last week or so ,where PC players have been deliberately trying to get me killed. Blocking doorways, repeatedly finding me on gens and either blowing them and running, fast vaulting, dropping pallets, very obvious sandbagging or deliberately helping the killer.
I'm going to say I have just had a rush of bad luck being put into teams of players who are obviously bored with the normal game, since I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing this, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I've been playing a few killer matches and my heart feels broken
Due to some of the big nerfs some killers are getting in the next patch, i decided to just stop putting any effort into killer, i'd just get what i get. If i get too into it, i get upset if survivors are being toxic. I didn't want to do that anymore, so here we are.
In each game, i got nothing but disrespect. Survivors clicking lights, ganging up on me, t-bagging when i mess up and making me feel more worthless than i already am. I have Asperger's, so its not a good feeling
i don't go in expecting any chance of getting even one kill before all the gens are done because the chances of me making any good progress as killer is a long shot. I only got one kill in a match and one of the survivors said the killer i used was op...from my perspective, obviously not
Alot of people will say something that would probably make me feel worse, like 'get good' or something. But i don't want to get good, i want to have fun as killer.
But the amount of pressure killer takes to play makes it hard. The gens go too fast and survivors have too much of a advantage. Killer just doesn't excite me like it used to, it feels more like work or a race these days.
I don't have any idea on how any of this can change, we still haven't heard anything about the Early Game Collapse thing yet. Some might disagree, but killers just don't feel at all strong anymore.
All i know is this, the over pressure killer gameplay has isn't healthy for the game. People might start quitting or changing over to survivor, then we'll have next to no killer players left.
I don't want that to happen, i just want us to be able to enjoy killer without feeling stressed
If this honestly has a chance of affecting your mental health, then the best advice I can give you is to put the controller down for a while. Some people might make fun or do the usual petty forum thing of 'crybaby killer git gud' but I won't do that, because I understand the stress of playing killer and how yeah, even though it shouldn't, a game and the way people play it can impact self esteem.
There are conflicting reports since the new match making system, I've been playing survivor fairly decently but still getting stomped and mostly end up with team mates I'm sure have lemming DNA, however, my experience doesn't invalidate yours. Something is going to break in regards to the match making system because people clearly aren't happy on either side, so perhaps don't give up on playing killer, simply take a break. You aren't being defeated, you're simply setting it aside until it makes sense again.
Alternatively, try getting together a kyf team. No it isn't competitive, but the stress just isn't there when you can play with a bunch of friends where everything is light hearted and nobody is BMing you. It's actually good practice for alternative builds you might have wanted to try but worried you'd get stomped before you got any practice in. People lose perspective when playing competitively, most forget that it's supposed to be fun, the win just becomes too detrimental and when you're getting regularly stomped.....yeah it sucks and makes the whole experience bitter and you find out you lost the 'fun' about three games in.
Whatever you decide, take care of yourself first, because at the end of the day it IS just a game and if it makes you feel crappy...it's not worth the trouble.
Good luck in the fog my friend.

The most soul-destroying feeling ever is after having rescued most of your team once, if not twice...you then end up dying on first hook because survivor one camped the hook and got caught, survivor two is down in the basement searching the chest and survivor three is in the far corner trying to self care sloppy butcher.
Since SBMM it's gotten worse and I am saved only by the occasional games where the individuals on my team seem to have their s**t together!

Man i love all the little justifications for camping. If you want to camp, then camp. You are absolutely allowed to camp, nobody can punish you for it. But to call it punishment for butt dancing or flashlight clicking is hilarious. If a survivor clicks at me or does the old teabag for attention, I simply turn my back and go the opposite way they're trying to lure me, and 9 times out of ten I find the rest of their team working on the gens.
If you want a chill game? Well I'm sorry but not having a chill game is a risk you take when playing in multiplayer. You might want to relax and have an easy time, nothing wrong with that, but that doesn't mean the people playing against you are going to take it easy. Some play for fun, some play to win, and yes some play to be annoying jerks, its a mixed bag.
Play how you want to play. Camp if you want to camp, no excuses needed.

Morse Code by flailing your arms on the hook?
When I first started years back, flailing arms WAS the universal signal. But somewhere along the line it became 'come save me'. Even kindred isn't always effective. I never leave home without it, and yet people still do the lemming dance around the hook while the killers nose is practically touching mine.
I've lost count of the many many times I've yelled "For christ sake just go do gens!" ineffectively at my tv screen.

It's very very rare i see someone runs unbreakable. Ds is noob friendly perk, so it's not because killers do their job, it's more about do your skill check and u are guaranteed to run away.
When i watch good survivors, they are running fun builds and still doing well.
Can't say i have bad teammates... Yeah, sometimes we all die, but my escape rate skyrocket after MMR hit.
Can I borrow some of your team mates? I swear to jeebus everyone in my teams seems to go full lemming once the first hook happens.

Bro, Survivors on Console going Ham with those keys before nerf. My last 3 days are just peeps trying to bring key or burning for more chests so they can find a key 🔑. I’m actually starting to lose my mind. I can’t get too mad though, I remember burning my fair share of Mori before it was too late xD
Man you must have ######### luck, I've seen one key in the last two weeks and I think Bubba yeeted that one across the corn field.

People who want to quit should have a right to I payed so there shouldn't be no bs in a game like this get rid of the penalty keep it the way it was before was fine
A good portion of the game's other 'paying' customers tends to disagree upon having the course of their games screwed over because someone threw a digital tantrum. Far too many players took advantage of the 'taking my ball and going home' because they couldn't lose with grace, or because they don't like the killer, or because that jake had a flashlight blah blah blah insert childish excuse here.
You DO have the option and freedom to disconnect, it just means you'll have to deal with actual consequences. The penalty is so small that you have to be REALLY abusing it to get so wound up about a system that has most certainly worked. The DC rate has dropped dramatically since the penalties were introduced. Penalties in games are not new and I highly doubt they are going anywhere.
But hey, i'd give up disconnect penalties and swap it out for a salt mines any day!

It’s not a good early game perk, it’s a powerful mid to late game perk. You need to set up a patrol area with gen placement and create dead zones near your set up. Then Pop shines and can be very oppressive.
As a survivor main I can confirm, this is true. Pop is one of those perks that make me groan, not because I have anything against it being used, but because I know I'll be cursing it at 2 to 3 gens most of the time.
One of the worst combos as a solo player is lemming team mates + Pop. At that point, I may as well go headbutt a locker till the killer comes to put me out of my misery lol/

Playing Dark Souls apparently makes you a tryhard. 😂
Oh sweet baby jesus, those straws he's grasping took a ton of effort to reach. I'm just imagining him feverishly going through your profile and thinking "Thats it, that is TOTALLY the reason he won the game and definitely the greatest insult ever!"

I had a Laurie throw an absolute crap fit because I 'denied her unhook points'.
Both other survivors had left through the gates, I saw her running towards my hook, where my kindred very clearly revealed the camping spirit with NOED. Now in these cases I will sacrifice myself, because it's just not a situation anybody was going to win, better three escape than just two, and she didn't have NOED.
I've had some nasty things said to me the first year I played (long since turned off messages) but that one made me scratch my head. Pretty sure you get more points from escaping than you would a failed attempt at an unsafe hook lol
