You mean the 250% thing? Those numbers weren't actually wrong, the only thing that was was the interaction duration (1 second instead of the 0.5 seconds it actually is). All they "fixed" is that number.
Yeah i meant the duration

I guess so. There's generally so much stuff to update that it can take a while to get everything, especially when the devs' own promo-material has the wrong numbers.
True. The wrong information about dead hard took years to change

Is it possible that it's been a while since you actually checked the wiki? Cause it says 28 seconds on it, because it's a 50% speed penalty.
Aah so they finally updated it? Thats good

I don't think she is weak but i do have to say that i can't make her work at all.
If i purelly go from my personal experience then i would rate her as one of the worst killers.
Seeing other people play quickly disproves this ofcourse but in my hands she's terrible.
Maybe it's a simular thing with you

It takes 10 more seconds than Booning a Dull, which is far less time than what you will save due to Circle of Healing (heck, even Exponential and, situationally, Shadow Step) being broken as hell.

It takes 24 seconds to bless a hex totem.
1/4 of your team is occupied during that action.
As a team, 6 seconds are lost by blessing the totem.
Therefore, if the killer takes any more than 6 seconds in the match to get rid of the boon totem (ie, you didn't go down directly on top of it so they had to walk more than 2 steps to it) then as a team you have gained net time.
If you get even a single heal out of the boon, you've saved one survivor 16 seconds, buying back 4 of the 6 seconds it took to light.
Now on top of that, we're considering Pentimento, so if you don't bless the totem you already have to cleanse it again, meaning your total time cleansing one totem is 28 seconds, more than the 24 it took to bless in the first place. And on top of that, there's the 30% slow to gen repairs which will stack up to a lot of time gained if the totem is not dealt with.
There is no good reason to not bless a totem instead of breaking it. There is far less reason to break it instead of blessing if Plaything is being used, because people ARE using it to get Pentimento to work. The only time I can see an argument for breaking a totem when you have a boon equipped is if they're ALSO running Thrill of the Hunt and it would take 48 seconds to break, in which case you can argue that it takes a hell of a long time and being interrupted is a realistic possibility.
It takes 28 seconds to bless a hex. The wiki is wrong.
Don't know if it was shadownerfed or is was always 28 seconds but that's the time it actually takes.
Double with thrill at full stacks

The effect of Noed isn't what makes the perk unfair.
It's the complete lack of activation requirement or warning it gives that makes this perk so hated.
It's simular to dead hard. It gives you a reward for the othed team doing well. (Gens done, getting a hit) and you don't know if they are in play untill they hit you.
If it had any activation requirement so people can't just camp one person and still get the benifit then nked wouldn't be that big of a problem
-
They really should have. I wanted to see a 5 snowman conga line

You don't seem to get the point.
I honestly don't.
Haven't had any big problems with snowman. Hit them in the face so the survivor jumps towards you and they barely do anything.
It can only be used 6 times and a lot of killers can straight up bypass it completly.
The only killers who can really complain specifically about snowman is Ghostface cause it eats his mark.
Twins can just complain in general at anytime for how badly they have been treated

The map is really weird.
The map itself is huge, but the actual generators are relatively close together.
The openes of it is pretty good for ranged killers. The few times i played trickster on it i completly destroyed the survivors. A good huntress on this map would probably be devestating
I can imagine billy having a really easy time manouvering around too
Seems to be a map that will be horrible for some killers (poor trapper) and okay for others

It's for the lithe gamers

The most possible killer from darkest dungeon would be the fanatic maybe...
Remember only humanoid killers. The could add skins tho like
Meg as a hellion.
The wraith as the collector.
For example.
Problem is that the fanatic isn't really an eldritch abomination but i get your point.
I would prefer the crimson court countess then. She could switch between her monster and humanoid form.
Would love the skins though. Plague doctor claudette would be amazing. I would instantly main whoever gets the jester skin
-
Also works with Dark Devotion
Obviously extremly situational but hilarious if it happens
-
Shambler from darkest dungeon when?

And survivors can also hold the game hostage and force you to hit them. Had a survivor stand literally on top of the hatch and I couldn't close it. They also couldn't go in it with the snowman. I had killed all the others and they had 2 gens remaining so no way to start end game collapse. After about 20 mins I just gave in and hit them and they were then able to go through the Hatch. I rarely complain as a killer and I'm a killer main but that was annoying.
Excuse me if i'm mistaken but if the survivor got there before you in a snowman then they could have gotten out if they wanted to.
You already lost the race to the hatch at that point. They just wanted to get/give the cosmetic and you wasted 20 minutes for that.
Sorry but in that scenario you were the annoying one.
-
Hit the snowman in the face so the survivor jumps towards you when they exit.
They make close to half less distance this way. Also remember they don't respawn after soaking up a hit so after 6 you don't have to worry about it anymore
-
Well it's holidays so
Plunder's instinct, Ace in the Hole, Appraisal and Bond
Make sure every survivor has a present when they leave out of the gate

For the record, it's worth remembering that those two weren't confirmed to be the next ones for changes- they were asked what killers they were looking at and answered with those two. If quicker, simpler changes to other killers get on their radar first, we'd probably see those before whatever they're planning for Legion and Ghosty.
If I could steer them towards one killer other than those two, though, it'd be Myers. He needs a little love.

The next 2 killers

I really liked the aprouch of the latest hexes that only light up when they become relevant.
Like Plaything lighting up only when you hook someone or Pentimento only when you rekindle one. Wish morr hexes worked like that.
Like Devour/ huntress lullaby only bring lit when you actually get your first stack and stuff like that
-
Just hoping next killers can jump in a snowman too

Trickster knives do go through and injure survivor, it happened to me when I was in a snowman.
Plague Vile purge will make you sick until injured but does not break snowman. Corrupt purge I wasn't in a snowman when she used it BUT I would think that it would break the snowmen since it damages instead of infects.
Haven't played plague yet but in theory the corrupt purge should be able to break the snowman and damage the survivor in a single spew.
I don't like my choice of the word spew but i'm sticking to it

I have noticed this too. The auto-aim wasn't happening much before that now it's back ridiculous....not to mention if survivors juke into you visual is lost especially with with our WNBA all-stars Plague/Artist.
Well glad i'm not imagening things
-
If we ever get a killer who disguises themself as survivors i want the faces to look like that
-
Well they are blinded while in snowman. So if they didn't pay attention cause snowman then they don't actually know where you are cause snowman

That's right, killer mains! Just idk................ get better at the game???????????????? Just hit the shots???
Never mind snowmen shutting down Twins and removing save the best for last stacks, just git gud! It's supposed to be a very fun event!!! Don't try so hard killer mains!!!!
I'm pretty sure it actually gives you extra stbfl stacks if you hit a non obsession

How can killers be baited into punching walls or whiffing M1s?
I have noticed the "auto aim" being a lot more auto in the latest patch. Don't know if it's confirmation bias but i seem to get pulled a lot more into random object when trying to swing around corners.
Also don't know if you already know this but survivors always jump out in front of the snowman.
So if you hit the snowman in the face they jump into you and gain a lot less distance then if you would hit them in the back.
It's quite a big difference
-
I'm having a blast but the last couple of games survivors completly ignored snowman.
I almost wish they would try and abuse it on me. Like anything better then to flat out ignore it.
Other side of the spectrum too killers just completly ignoring you if you are in a snowman. Atleast on the killer side it's understandable. I am not doing gens while waggling around
-
Maybe she just ate some bad pizza and your name disgusted her
-
Overcome, Inner Strength, Second Wind and No Mither
New meta
-
She also made the mistake of hitting them in the back. The survivor always jumps out of the front so if you hit the front they jump into you and lose a lot of the distance they gain.
A huntress hitting the snowman with a hatchet in the face is going to get the folow up hit pretty much instantly unless a pallet is right there to dead hard to.

Is it that they can't turn fast or they can't walk fast? Like, how long does it take for a Survivor to flip around if they immediately move their character to face the opposite direction?
Also, the fact that people haven't caught on doesn't count for much IMO.
Best to just try it i think.
To my knowledge it's not fast enough to prevent the killer from circling to the front and hitting you there
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2689859#Comment_2689859
Right, but they still just need to be able to not be facing you to gain distance.
They don't turn that fast. You can run around them faster then they can turn.
Also i'm pretty sure most survivors don't even realise the difference it makes. I haven't come across a lot of survivors trying to use the snowman purely for the extra health state but the ones who did certainly weren't hard to hit in the face.
Haven't tried it yet but in theory having stbfl and doing this will really hamper snowmen
-
@TAG said:

The advice is appreciated, but if they can turn reliably enough, it's not really a solution, is it?
It doesn't need to perfect in the face. As long as it's 180 degrees in the front they don't gain distance.
Just anything then hitting them in the back.

This is INCORRECT. It does NOT count Shock Therapy. It only counts the Static Blast (the one that builds up and then shocks everyone in a large radius around you; default button is CTRL on PC).
It’s very hard to complete. As others said, you basically need certain addons, offerings, and perks to have a chance.
If this is the case then i made a survivors game a hell for no reason lol.
Kept shocking them over and over.
It would surprise me cause i don't think i used his large blast often enough to hit 20 times but it's not impossible. That game went on for a long time
-
@TAG said:

Is it possible for Survivors to just turn around and not face you?
They don't turn instantly. I haven't had a issue with hitting the snowmen in the face.
I ofcourse don't know if the survivor were actively trying do hide their face so i'm not 100% sure.
It isn't a perfect solution but it does make quite a difference if you play killers whos power can't pop the snowman
-
For people who are struggling with this. The survivor always jumps out in front.
If you hit the snowman in the face so the survivor jumps out in towards you you can greatly reduce the distance they can make.
The difference is pretty bi
-
Sweet!
High fives all around.
-
Pretty sure only his shock therapy counts.
Or whatever his m2 is called
-
Just found out they don't respawn if used to soak a hit. So 6 hits is the maximum
Also survivors always jump out in the front. Hitting the snowman in the face so they jump into you greatly decreases the distance they can make. They almost go down instantly if you have STBFL.
Also pro tip for survivors. If you are facing a Legion who just Feral Frenzied you. Don't jump into a snowman expecting it to save you.
They are snowman, not snowmend
-
@Rizzo said:
Correct, the snowmen do not respawn if hit when a Survivor is hiding inside them.
If you pop them when empty, they respawn after 15 seconds.
Thanks for the info!

Serious? You were the one talking about BT and validation, so why would you attack me like this? What does a sprintboost against an instant long range jump attack?
Sorry, rereading what i said and it does come off as aggressive. Wasen't the intention.
Twins indeed are a tricky beast to balance. They will never get it right. If they even are going to try at this point

Good idea to let them double jump a survivor for an easy down. Sigh. Twins are just the most "unbalanced" killer ever, just being a camper/tunnler/slugger. I am glad for every day without seeing any Twin player.
It's clearly been a while since you played against twins or you would have remembered that Viktor clings to you if you're healthy.
Unless you are refering to getting with with BT but then it still doesn't make sense cause you would still get the speed boost out of it.
-
Every killer can be annoying if have the right attitude.
Or wrong attitude in this case
-
You chain tiles.
Simular to trapper trapping the pallet she slows down a lot setting up her birbs so you can make it to the following tile
If you have a good understanding of when her birds dissapate you can eventually even circel back to the loop you started at.
People refer to this as hold w against her ussualy
-
Wraith is probably the best at stopping hold w.
You will have to deal with normal looping though
-
This isn't really a snowman issue but a huge twins issue in general.
Viktor going into his 5 (!) second stun after hitting BT or getting validated by dead hard is also bs.
The trigger of his stun should br the downing of a survivor not the hitting part
-
Perchance, but concidder a down to reveal Trappers traps through the cracks of the roof
