yeah, that swamp bug is still not fixed. it's so cheap to run through that every time the killer finds you. hopefully it gets fixed by next patch.

    lol

  • I often find 2 to 4 myself solo just moving between gens looking as I go, it seems too often nobody else wants to do them, then once in a while there's a noed and if I remember one I left in memory but had to leave due to danger or something and it's safe I'll get it otherwise I'll laugh since it's their own fault they got the noed. Best way to play is either for points or to screw with people, whether the killer or your teammates. After sitting ten minutes for a game, make it fun for yourself.

Can't really blame anyone else at that point, it's what it says on the tin. :]

If you're really looking at getting that chase I'd definitely go with a key based name, Tunnel Vision was probably far too subtle and would work better on a killer. :)

Yeah I was thinkingt hat. One I used on a killer when I was just camping while watching tv was Ernest Goes to Camp the Hook and I had an ernest pic lol

Don't think most of us want more bp.

We'd play more if people were kinder.

Or ya know, they could disable chat and replace online Id's with character names. That'd do the work and be more welcome than the bile we see at this point.

I should start using my steam account again so I can change the alias to such classics as: KillerOPPlzNerf and KYSPlzGGEZSAUCE or xGGMoriThisKeyGGx. One I actually used was Tunnel Vision just to see if I'd get tunneled.

Nope, 1.5x BP is not enough.

Hmmm, I wonder if they'll ever implement bots. It'd be easier for them to at least try bribery first, but they really want to keep a stranglehold on their Bloodpoint economy. And they really don't seem to like giving out shards.

I've seen one of the mods say their killer queues are longer than their survivor queues and therefore the long survivor queues are an isolated issue and not a most-players issue. I'm sure queue times are affected by region and time, but I'm curious to know how it is in the major regions (especially at peak times).

When I'd loaded it up sometimes for the past few weeks to month or so, it was usually in the evenings in the USA central time around chicago and i usually closed the game after around 9 or 10 minutes by the clock since I'd remember going into queue as survivor. I figure i could have gotten a match any moment from there, or sat another 5 or 10 minutes but justt o play one match not as long as that just to call it a night or sit in the same queue right after wasn't worth it for me. Especially knowing how screwed up the matchmaking had been for me the last times I'd played.

Killer could take a couple or a few minutes sometimes, at night, but testing it usually it was within a half a minute to minute and a half range and a few times it was within about ten seconds. Either way not too bad. So lobby dodging was pretty viable. I don't like playing killer any more though even though it was the reason I bought the original steam version of the game in 2016. It's just rarely been fun for me, it wasn't then, it isn't now, but it was for a while when I came around when pyramidhead came out but these past couple or few months they made it less fun again. I hadn't played for almost 4 years until ph and the vault spam bamboozle I'd heard of, and I could almost go another 4 years without touching the game between seeing they haven't changed how they treat killers and survivor queues being too long compared to match lengths for me to tolerate while they're not doing anything to make killers enjoy the game enough to shorten the survivor queues for me.

Mods aren't devs btw, they're just players with mod powers. So the experience of most, at least if they don't spend time at the studio and more than once or twice in a blue moon, is no different from anybody else's int heir region. Maybe the region of some is splendid for survivor queues, but for me it often isn't when I play. But anything from a mod is just an opinion in my opinion, they aren't a dev. If I get banned or 'jailed' for that it'll just prove my point lol. But if that happens it'll actually be for some of my other posts probably, it was more of a joke if not for that.

do yourself a favor, until some major balance issues are addressed, ( which will never happen) dont push red ranks as killer, be like me i have 1800 hrs and i am brown ranks, killers are in a super bad spot,

just ask yourself right now, if u dont believe me,

Did i have fun AT ALL in that matcch or most of the matches i have as a high lvl killer ?

if you didnt have fun, why are you playing a video game which dont fulfil its main purpose ( fun)

i have been there at red ranks last year, i stopped, now my mindset is

stay low lvls, aim for 4 bbq stacks, and meme around afterwards. i end up not killing a single survivor while hooking everyone 2 hooks almost every game,

as a result you get games, ( NOT all survivors are using DS)

( not a single survivor dies)

( you rank up if you hooked everyone twice and couple more downs and memes)

( no one talks ######### at you end game)

    its positive all around

I worked out how to stay even on pips and play a similar way, sometimes it involved camping a little bit though and without insidious which was counterproductive for when the goal was trying to no more than 'black pip' or whatever they call that first one. I worked it out tot he point where usually even if I came close to accidentally pipping, I still usually wouldn't. And if I did I'd just go ham the next match and then afk two or three in a row after that to make up for it so long as a rank would not be gained as a result until rank 16 at least. I'd tried to work out playing and having fun without accidentally pipping since it wasn't letting me derank when I hung around 16 I think it was. But the games were much more fun around then, sometimes way too easy, but you punish yourself for abusing that by ranking up too quickly which is a good incentive to make sure everybody stayed alive long enough and enjoyed the match in the end.

So let's talk about this "free win" I'm supposed to get when.. now that smarter survivors know how to just make you wish you didn't bring it in the first place. Survivors will ######### about this and that if they don't win but when you win fair and square it's a different story. They disconnect, sacrifice on 2nd hook so you don't get it. Or the classic they hide the entire match, holding the game almost hostage so you don't down both and win. Or keys (which still have no change). It will be because they didn't get their arsenal to proc too, dead hard, ds, etc. Survivor is a joke

sometimes I get mad when i don't get to use either ds or unbreakable too so I understand their position

  • I been playing againt he past couple of days and had quite a few hits that got me after I'd landed from vaults and was at least afew meters away. It PO me enought o almost dc sometimes on the spot, but if I'd decide to RQ I'd quit for the day and I'm only back for the bloodpoints thing temporarily so I grind my teeth, screama nd sweara t the prick that doesn't deserve the hook, and try to put up with it until the event is over. It's not like it happens every hit or every match, but, it does happen at elast a couple or few times a day while playing all day saturdaya nd sunday until the queues started getting longer later in the night. If life doesn't fall apart in murica for me by june I'm playing Back 4 Blood at least until Evil Dead comes out if either or both doesn't suck balls. I doubt I'm gonna feel like playing cyberpunk again for quite a long time.

  • adrenaline is worse if most of your teammates spend more time hiding, on or around the hook than doing generators.

  • legions can be boring sometimes because of the constant mending if they combine it with ruin and you spend half the time you should be looking for it either mending or avoiding the terror radius or other survivors while they're using their power. doctor if I can while they're hooking somebody I'll try and knock off a more mid oriented gen and then just hug the opposing corners of the map from where i see the other guys lit up while they keep the doctor's attention if I don't have calm spirit on. some freddy can be boring for the same reason as legion, slow games. Minus the mending sometimes, but some seem to like franklin's especially if you got a good toolbox. I understand that, but, ten minute games from deliberate slow downs are boring as hell regardless of how many points you make. If we had to get 7 gens and they increased the amount on the map by 2 or 3... that would not feel the same as deliberate slow down tactics. In fact, 6 gens to power the gates might be a little more fun sometimes, but not with some maps.

Think about it, how would you balance keys yourself in a way that is strong, but not too strong? I would be willing to bet that the idea you think of is not great.

A popular idea that I hear quite a bit is that we should allow it to only let one person escape per key and have a 3-second animation of opening the hatch. The problem with this idea is that it would still be incredibly powerful as all survivors would just run a key knowing they could easily escape.

I myself don't know any other rework ideas for the keys, but you get the point. The keys are very complex when you stop and think about it. Moris on the other hand were much more unbalanced and much stronger. Keys at least require the survivors to do generators.

The mori change was good for the game itself. Most killers who ran it only used it against survivors holding a key which created very unfun and unhealthy gameplay. Being tunneled off of the first hook only to be moried is worse because it can happen so much faster.

Was it the best change? Probably not. But it is a good change. If you are complaining about the change, you are probably a killer who relied on moris to kill survivor teams using keys.

well the bottom line should be, if you can't be killed early by the killer's offering then your simple item slot should never allow you to escape early. simple as that, work from there. It could be used to open the hatch back up after a killer closes it to trigger the EGC or after the exit gates are alrready powered which can help with poor gate placement rng sometimes. Anything else is unfair when an offering was rendered useless while an item becomes more powerful (and while being an item can be found within matches themselves abusing a number of perks in combination with a newer one allowing you 3 extra fishes for one even out of empty chests at a minimum) and can carry annoying addons on top of it while still being able to create an early escape even after reading the killers' or survivors' auras are exhausted on it's charges. simply. not. fair.

It is possible to make a loadout specifically for finding keys in matches and reusing chests for more shots at it, making it a high chance of finding one when combined especially with offering creating even more chests. You don't even need to visibly carry a key int he lobby to be a pita about them.

Any other change than being able to reopen it after the killer has closed it, combined with exit gates needing to be powered or there being 1 survivor left alive and killers need to quit enmasse this time or flood the survivor queues since the disruption it causes is gonna be the only way to get the devs to listen to you. There's a few ways to get people to listen toy ou, one is offering them a trade or a bribe, another is deceiving them, and the last one is forcing them to.

You've been at the point for a while as killers where you're gonna need to force them to listen to you, and threatening the bottom line (the cash shop) is the only way to do that and how that's done is making survivors wait too long to get a match to wanna buy costumes and auric or even play any more. I say time time right around when the Evil Dead game or Back 4 Blood releases this year, preferably the Evil Dead game due to it's enormous franchise pull once we get a definitive release date for it. Killers can single-handedly hold the entire playerbase hostage if enough of them were to quit at once, or even worse pile themselves onto survivor queues for the lulz. It's pretty clear if you sit and wait you'll keep waiting, you're gonna have to force some changes for once or accept the game is gonna suck for you until it's dead.

Just see if they can port the bots from mobile, they don't need to make em for survivors, only for killers and to replace the killers that dc too maybe. That's a lot less work thatw ay, and they would only have to focus the AI on one role and they could fine tune it to the survivor rulebook even for great justice/

I would never condone this. Also, you'd have to give it a minute or so before disconnecting, because if you do it too quickly I think it counts as "match canceled" and will give them back their offering. I've had the game "match canceled" me after cleansing a totem and going on to start a gen.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1881436#Comment_1881436

    Here's the thread:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220169/lobby-wide-bp-offerings

It's not the first time this has been suggested, just the most recent.

yeah that's usually because somebody lost connection or force dropped during loading, most likely during the offerings and it just took a while for it to catch up on the server. One match I killed a seemingly afk claudette, walked her to a hook, and as soon as she was hooked it caught up and cancelled the game lol. It doesn't seem to happen to me often though, but it's usually when somebody already got dropped during the loading. Since I play survivor now I usually seem to have it happen and show a dc icon next tot he killer's names. Probably didn't like something they saw in the lobby, like 3 pc players or something, or their spidey-sense was tingling all of a sudden. Or their pet tripped over their cords or ate them who knows. internet. internet. internet.

About the other thing, I was mostly joking as that would be a total waste of the time I could spend on a different game. But for those that would actually do it at least it would be providing a killer or a lobby rather than having them sitting in queue all night waiting for one which is what would eventually happen if enough killers got the memo off that sort of biased change in offerings and finally cut the cord with the game.

Usually even when I killed people when I saw a lot of bp stuff, I'd try to long chase and hit a lot and tried to let everybody get points btw when I was killer on my steam account. I did that a lot with the cakes thing earlier in the year especially. Even when people died they got at least 15k iirc. As long as they weren't lugging toolboxes and trying to get out asap or trying to troll me anyways. the teams that were deliberately trying to annoy me and give me a rough time got slugged and the last couple or few guys camped or slug camped since those behaviors some groups do are annoying as hell and don't deserve to be rewarded.

  • @FastestVirginia said:

So... if i remember correctly they said they will add something like endgame collapse mechanic at the beginning of the match to help the killers have this needed pressure early on. What happened? did they forget about it or am i just imaging things ?

Didn't democrats say they were gonna give you $2,000 of your own money back if you voted for them? I have a bridge to sell you btw. lol

On a serious level, chances are, if they felt they didn't have enough bp yet to take the risk of being tunneled as the first guy caught mosts urvivors would probably start hook suiciding if it was something too tedious. Not gonna lie, if I felt the time was better spent getting a jumpstart into a fresh queue and it was gonna be a rough match I'd probably start doing it too if it took too much of my time. Since I don't bring a calculator when I play games but in any game with a hefty grind I don't like wasting a lot of time for nothing or only somebodye lse's progression either. It ain't ever fun for me to be horribly inefficient in a grindy game. If it didn't have the grind or such a hefty one I wouldn't do that though, but my sense of fun shifts when grinds are introduced.

Left 4 Dead is a case in point,.. I played those games for about 3 1/2 years and didn't touch much else besides modded oblivion and new vegas a few times until I got addicted to league instead. I just had fun, didn't stress often over wins in left 4 dead, most matches without people excessively toxic felt fun, but in games with long grinds and tiny sense of progression it's completely the opposite. I can't feel i'm having fun when there's stuff to grind, especially when it's power, and I feel I've gotten almost no progress made. The main reasons besides mtx that I've hardly played any multiplayer games besides left 4 dead and league in the past 10 years. Ironically, mmorpgs are the exception for me. Anything else being grindy and I lose interest if I can't play efficiently.

The queue seems fine during the day. All the kiddies get scurred and don’t want to play after dark. Or mum and dad figured out the parental controls on the WiFi and set a time the WiFi is blocked. The night queue stinks.

More like all the kiddies party up and like to troll at night so that's the time for the killers to go play a man's game like Demon Souls or something.

  • @flanniganmichael said:

The purpose of playing is to accumulate Bloodpoints, which we use to level up our survivors and get new perks, items and offerings. So if that’s the main purpose of our games, why is there a perk to make survivors drop their items?

Franklins Demise is a perk for players who are scared of survivors having items, nothing more. It rewards killers for playing poorly, if you can’t find a way to counter play keys, med-kits etc etc then I’m sorry, but you need to get good. I no longer bring items into my games, because whenever I do, the killer decides to bring FD. I’ve been playing for maybe 7 hours today, and I’ve played against nearly 13 killers that used this perk, across various (although dominantly red) ranks.

When will the developers nerf this perk? At the very least, you should be able to keep your item, but lose a certain amount of charges, or lose the ability to use it for a duration of time. That would be preferable to losing it all together. If killers can have power add-ons that survivors can’t counterplay, Iridescent Head and Tombstone for example, why can killers do that to us?

    Thoughts on this vile perk?

You must enjoy 30 minute queues man. I on the other hand, don't, and once they push 15 minutes I've forgotten I've even queued sometimes and came back afk and even dead by the time I remembered. Since I won't sit and stare at a lobby for 15-20 minutes. If it happens a second time in anight I quit the game for the night, the main reason I haven't played much until yesterday and today are the queues are boring. They don't need to reach guinness record levels.

Not using BBQ means killers' loadouts will be freed up for a much more useful perk. Perhaps something more annoying like Ruin, or more deadly like Devour Hope. Or, they could replace it with one of the much better tracking perks.

A Nurse's Calling to see when survivors are healing. That one's especially annoying on killer's with a small TR, it's difficult to know when it's safe to heal. Bitter Murmur shows the auras of survivors next to a gen each time a gen is completed, and it shows all the survivors' auras when the final gen pops. (At least BBQ rewards the killer for doing their job. Bitter Murmur rewards the killer with info for survivors doing their job.) Deerstalker for slugged survivors, which means the killer's going to slug the crap outta everyone. I hate those matches as survivor, they are infinitely boring. I'm All Ears, which can really prevent survivors from juking killers during a chase. Finally there are the gen perks, Discordance shows when 2+ survivors are working on a gen and Surveillance shows when survivors start work on a regressing generator.

Of all those, BBQ is almost the weakest tracking perk, only outdone possibly by Deerstalker which requires a slugging strat to be useful. BBQ requires the killer to do their job and hook survivors to get use out of it. It requires more effort to use than any of those other tracking perks and it has more counters.

BBQ is discussed a lot because new survivors like to target it as being OP. I'm not sure if survivors really believe that, though, as I just saw another thread where a survivor was saying Bloody Party Streamers and other Bloodpoint offerings shouldn't apply to killers, but all killer BP offerings should apply to survivors. It's kind of looking like survivors just want to take Bloodpoints away from killers out of spite, because I guess the killer queues are so overflowing with players that it wouldn't matter if there's even less incentive to play.

lol if that happened I would load up on wraith for rift xp and take every swf lobby I suspected, maybe even look for some, hoping for at least one party streamer just to dc right as soon as the map fully loaded just to waste their streamer lmfao. I would rotate back and forth between steam and psn while watching tv to work around the dc timers until they got long enough to call it a day and try again in 24 hours until it came time to skip a day and let it reset early. they're killing their own game with their entitlements.

  • edit should learn to read posts before I respond, assumed it was another demand to nerf something lmao

I always appreciate the help but I can't guarantee I won't it will keep you from the Entity.

I seen a few afk players today,a nd my matches usually didn't take longer than a few minutes to come throughout the day so it shouldn't have been from forgetting theyw ere in queue (which happened to me twice in a row when theyw ere about 20 minutes at one point a month or two ago came back to see a clown mori me as the last one alive int he first one that night lmao). https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1881384#Comment_1881384

Yea I have seen it done by accident before. This time it appeared intentional. Multiple times the survivor in question heading to the locations of the other survivors with the killer following them. I was the second survivor sacrificed and did spectate and watched it happen again to the third one leaving only the killer and survivor in question remaining. Not sure what happened at that point as I left spectator mode.

probably tired of being tunneled, and especially if they were first found or it was a bad pull down or the killer seemed deadset on them they were probably trying to ditch it like a mailman tries to shake a dog off his leg. Especially if they had decent items they didn't get to use yet and wanted to live long enough to do that. I get pissed about it myself sometimes, but I never reported anybody for it since I understand they're just trying to ditch the killer. I mean as long as I haven't seen them run out, get the killer's attention, and then run them straight to me then idgaf.

I've tried to shake off a killer that way too sometimes, did it myself tonight a few times (it's like seeing a vault opportunity appear in your fov) one of those times at least I had a green toolbox I hadn't gotten a drop of use out of yet (wanted to save it for a certain gen in case I needed to rush it) and might have been on second hook iirc (some matches I was farming wglf stacks if I ignored them for too many other matches and took risks if need be to feel I was getting enough stacks to be worth playing all day). My reflexes are bad from not playing much for months by now so i'm not too confident in my ability to shake off any killer that isn't totally new lol. I mean I had some good matches tonight, but, most of those turned out to look like new killers after the game and I lol'd thinking that figures. If it was a purple killer they'd have made me feel like a trump supporter in 2022 that's how sluggish I seemed to feel for a lot of my earlier matches today. Most of those I took that sort of opportunity in were the earlier ones I think unless I was on last hook or people seemed to not like to unhook and I had a good item.

Lol. It’s not PC players fault that console framerate is terrible. I tried DBD on console and was back to PC within a few days

it's actually pretty good on ps5, and probably series x too lol. the ps5 output in some games seems around my 2080's. not the ray tracing so far in the games i remember trying with it, except for spiderman, spider-man in performance RT mode with 60 fps and ray traced reflection impressed me.

legion's rt reflections aren't impressive though and that one is locked at 30 fs with a somewhat low looking reso. would be nice if they patch in a performance mode option and take out the rt in watch dogs on there. valhalla actually looks as good if not a little bit better than I'd expected it would have on my pc though actually. Though I'd have most likely locked it to 1440p on pc to keep it steady, tears a little bit but not much on ps5, but seems higher reso often. The dynamic reso is nice. Immortals, once they patched the camera microstutter thing, is super smooth and looks great on ps5. I highly recommend Immortals Fenyx Rising.

Dead by Daylight I have looking the same on the ps5 and my pc, tweaked the gameusersettings.ini on the pc for the steam version to get em looking as close the same as I could and have the pc reso up at 100% on the slider.

To the other guyt hat wanted crossplay between consoles and not pc, I played with a pad on pc mostly when i came back to the game this year and was fine on everything except huntress and deathslinger. I noticed that our survivor times on steam shot up after crossplay, indicating a larger portion of console players played survivors compared to our ratios. Im' pretty sure if you got the console only crossplay you guys would have even longer queues than you already do if pc really does have alot more people willing to play killer, which it seems it does and some of them had been playing since 2016-2018 which is partly why. they have the fortitude to stick around since killer was the worst it's ever been in 2016. It would take the holder of daylight to convey the hells upon you the killers in 2016 dealt with. Part of the only reason i came back 4 years later was they finally got rrid of some of that,t hen ironically i couldn't get matches quickly enough as killer since pyramidhead had just come out lmao. but after crossplay, it got flip-turned upside-down. now it's survivor queues that are longer.

You sir are incorrect. I went from ps4 destiny 2 to pc and it carried My expansions over.

well ma'am what I read somewhere on their site a year or two ago made it sound like you would have your inventory available (like the guns you already have including exotics) on different platforms, but would play ont hose servers (did read skim over something about being able to play with friends on different platforms, but don't remember exactly what it said any more) and only be able to expansions you'd bought on the platform currently logged into. I never played it on ps4 because of that, and I was already in 4k on pc at the time. i do have a ps5 now and was considering it, but had assumed I'd needed to have bought the expansions on psn again though i'd already had them on steam. I preferred playing with the controller was why I was considering trying it out on ps5, mainly for pvp heh.

Oh yeah id understand that but I don't tbag or point often at all. I think out of 30 games ill teabag and point 4 or 5 games out of the 30. And that is because i feel the killer is playing like a total DBAG and it takes a lot to make me feel that way because i main killer and i get how tough it can get sometimes. The killer will like face camp with 5 gens left after a 2 sec chase in the beginning and i feel that warrants teabags and points and what ever else i can do

ha ha ha I done that on the first guy before just to try and not pip if possible

Many more players than will admit to it are both immensely frustrated with and by Dead by Daylight and simultaneously addicted to playing it.

Frustration: the feeling of being upset or annoyed, especially because of inability to change or achieve something; the prevention of the progress, success, or fulfillment of something

Addiction: the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity; the long term inability to moderate or cease intake

Addict: an enthusiastic devotee of a specified thing or activity

According to these definitions, majority of players who play DBD everyday can be considered to have an addiction and are addicts, along with experiencing frustration.

I’ve personally experienced anxiety before playing DBD to the extent where I didn’t want to load the game.

Yeah I felt that every time I loaded it up with the intention of playing killer lol. I gave myself an out with "if I don't get alobby within 30 seconds on this killer I'm out" Obviously it took just deciding to never queue up for it any more since that didn't work out by the end of the year. The only anxiety I have about queueing up as survivor is whether or not it's gonna be a long ass queue that night. So I decide if it takes ten minutes on event he first lobby I'm out for the night. No stress about survivor in game though except after resets or if it's been at least amonth since I last played the game. And that's more about looking bad for the first match while getting back intot he feel of things or having horrible teammates. The first one I don't even care about any more.

  • I was addicted to league up until I think it was season 5 when they let 4 and 5 man premades ruin rank mode and it was the rock bottom I needed to leave and never go back, spent thousands on it before then on skins and stuff had at least one for every champ and had all champs released to the point I quit. Champs were mostly bought with Ip from exploiting the original refer a friend system with multiple simultaneous vm botted referal accounts and a script to generate and run through new ones back to back for a couple or few weeks straight at one point. Never ran out of IP.

I was also addicted to hearthstone since it's early beta days for about to a couple of years after it had changed tot he point I wasn't even enjoying it often any more, and the blitzchung incident gave me an excuse to myself to quit that one for good too. I haven't even installed battlenet again since then because hearing about the censored graphics in classic to appease china kept me turned off of it and after trying bfa I figured it wasn't worth shadowlands even with the enticement of rtx.

You can be addicted and look for an excuse to finally get yourself to quit. You can do it. I know you have it in you. Time to take that addiction and drop it in a firey toilet of doom.

They already did make people play him. They had challenges and everything for him in the tome.

I left in late 2016 and only came back around the pyramid head release and the bamboozle effect on vault abuse so I must have missed that one or didn't care about it if I had seen it. Come to think, that must be that silly bunny ear looking clown costume that I see once in a while that came from it now that I think about it. No way they'd make me play him though, I leave killer on 3 dailies and forget they exist now if they keep rerolling killer lmao.

I refuse to believe you get face camped by every hillbilly you run into.

probably not literally facecamped, but myself and surprisingly especially the costumed ones I tend to be proximity camped frequently, to where they often won't leave max kindred range for longer than a split second or two. started trying to free myself and when unsuccessful not struggling when being camped like that since there's no point when I could be killing off another couple minutes into a queue instead of sitting there. idgaf about the strangers on the gens that probably couldn't care any less about myself either. 2020 taught me most people are not very bright and the rest don't care about me and might even laugh when I die, so, I'm not obliged to anybody on or offline is the straight answer if asked why.

  • @magicmaster2020 said:

Honestly I love the character in general, but he does not belong in dbd. He is way too powerful for the entity to control or even make a deal with. The movie is loosely based on the book. Especially the endings, so before you guys go "all you have to do is bully him and he dies".

Which means the survivors in dead by daylight can easily manage him lol.

  • I'd rather they not make people play clown, why not have a spirit rift or a freddy one before they give him the viking funeral. it'll pick up survivor queues briefly. definitely won't be buying that rift myself, though I'd already decided not to buy any more since I don't wanna play the killers any more even for rifts so without afking wraith 24/7 I'd never finish another rift anyways.

I understand your point where If a survivor has DS and doesn’t do the objective the killer can disable it he just has to hook another survivor and the DS turns off

oh ok you were right then about my missing something, didn't catch the part about the killer having the ability to disable it. I still can see swf figuring out how to troll with it though, but I guess if it's their first dc of the day they can just quit and afterward in matche slike those just sit in a corner until they get bored finish the gens and leave.

  • "killers have slow down perks galore" only two I could think of and both had been nerfed, and now the recent 'buff' to one that requires taking up a second perk slot is also about to get the axe for that purpose. lol'd hard. I guess you can count sloppy butcher as a third that is a reliable one. But I just remembered they're changing things around mending,w hich in turn could affect many other perks and combinations of them and we won't see how until it's live I guess. Expect the worst and hope for the best eh. That way you're never disappointed.

I will say constant mending builds were truly boring af to deal with when combined with ruin though, not about difficulty so much as how tedious it is. I did dc against those sometimes and take the 5 minute penalty since it was sometimes over more quickly than 10 minutes of that stuff lol. That actually was a very annoying combination, even though you could beat it, it took what felt like forever. and was honestly boring even from my perspective

Yeah I can't wrap my head around that either. Could BHVR really not throw in .5 more blood points?

lol yeah, ######### is 1.5 lmao

I guess maybe somebody thought the longer looking number seemed bigger and more enticing than a single digit 2? They must really think low of their playerbase if that was the idea behind it lmfao

I think you read it wrong what I meant was is if you get unhooked DS activates but if you touch a Gen the perk deactivates and you have to get unhooked again to reactivate it

no I read it right, I'm saying a lot of potatoes are too scared to even touch generators often and swf that revolve their experience around screwing with the killer and don't care about generators or escape would abuse the hell out of it. Maybe you play the game as intended and haven't played killer much so you think of how people would play the game as intended with it, but there is too much potential for abuse with an essentially infinite ds duration for those that wanna waste the killers' time and don't care about objectives or escaping. They would be able to just sit on a pallet until slugged under it, or near one with power struggle, or in a spot that's unsafe for the killer to avoid flashlight saves from swf etc. so I'd take a pass on that if I was still willing to touch killer.

Some people would probably up and quit without even trying a single match if they did something like that knowing what could happen if they tried to play like that as killers. It's too frustrating already without an unpredictably lengthened ds duration around that can be abused by swf. As a survivor on the last gen I would just save the ds for the exit gate and not touch the last gen myself lol, so I would be assured to ds and escape or crawl out if slugged. So I give that idea a hard pass since queues would definitely hit guinness record lengths for survivors.

The game would essentially be dead, since most survivors would have to also quit (since you know most won't switch to killer especially then) to even out the queues to a reasonable length against the tiny amount of killers that would be left after all these other recent nerfs on top of that hugely troll ds change. Some survivors would abuse it in end game like I would, just to get out not to be an ass about it, and some swf would set out solely to crush the killers' spirits and not even care if they win. That's why it will never work. The wrong change to ds is something big enough to be the straw that broke the camel's back at least happening after a long list of annoying killer nerfs already.

I was trying to play survivor today but the wait times made me play another game instead.

They goofed with 1.5x when it should have been straight double bloodpoints, a few more might have pulled themselves out of survivor queue an dloaded up bbq in that case. I'm honestly surprised the situation is so bad that even a bp event isn't easing up on survivor queue time by the sound of it.

  • @Zozzy said:

I was trying to play survivor today but the wait times made me play another game instead.

Fallout the Frontier mod came out yesterday, for New Vegas. Twisted Metal style cars with cannons, questlines with branching outcomes and a huge playable state of texas as big as the rest of the game and dlcs. The nexus sites came back up so if my queue time is too long once I get onto dbd today (after I make my coffee in a bit slept a long time today) then I'll just jump back onto raid shadow legends or geta round to installing the Frontier since I downloaded it last night before I passed out.

If i see no obsession, it means nobody has DS. I am killer and i want to win. I can tunnel people without punishing. Why is it problem in this community ?

If it keeps you ahead yeah, if you're doing it tot he point gens start flying up around the map then you made the bad choice in that situation if you ignored others completely. if it's a guy on last hook and easy to catch, with no ds, then it's a smart choice though.

They got a lot of hate because of those, so basically sony is just being a crybaby.

Why would people hate logging into their fartnite and realizing, "I don't have to grind or buy most of this all over again... sweet" I was stoked to see my founders stuff carried over when I first tried it on psn.

I bought a PC for myself in December, been playing on PS4 up until then. I had all perks and a lot of skins etc. I found out there is no cross progression of any sort, so I had to buy it all again.

After buying the game, all dlc’s and some auric cells to buy my favourite skins again the total cost was almost 170 usd.

By far the the most expensive game I’ve ever bought. Lol.

Let me tell you about Raid Shadow Legends. It is the most immersive, character driven RPG of 2021 already with thousands of amazing and powerful characters for you to collect and use.

Don’t like it the timer is to short it should be unlimited duration at all tiers but if you touch a Gen, get healed to full health, cleanse a totem completely, unhook another survivor or the killer hooks another survivor then the perk deactivates.

unlimited even with losing it upon touching a gen would still be abused so much just to piss off killers especially by some swf that try and figure out how to abuse killers as much as they possibly can through perk combos and voip coordination. some people don't touch gens anyways just because they seem too stupid or too scared to, potatoes would wind up unintentionally trolling the hell out of people sometimes when 2 minutes later they still had ds when found crouching behind something with their thumb up their butt. That would be pure and total hell to deal with in the hands of swf that didn't care about objectives and only wanted to make the killers miserable especially when they could keep pulling themselves and each other up all the time if they got slugged if the killer was onto them about it. The worst thing would be no longer being able to track it, making it totally unpredictable who has it when killers have enough stress already. Even the addicts got a limit where they say fuget and just stop playing if it would happen too much.

Making them harder to find means nothing when you have a semi meta perks completely built around rng and whether someone just happens to run into it or not.

small game has a really short cd that's so short it sets off again on the totem I'm currently working on even, so idk why survivors are complaining about finding totems. They just don't wanna choose between troll perks for the one they gotta ditch to adapt to one of the few bones thrown to killers pardon the pun.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

Has anyone noticed undying got another buff. Everyone knows that they made it so you don’t lose tokens when using devour hope and third seal but another buff was given to the perk

Basically they increased the range of aura reading on dull totems to 2/3/4 meters originally it was 2 meters at all tiers

it's more of a trade, undying only works once now, but you lost tokens before so it was useless for DH while now it's a buff if you use DH and a huge nerf for hexes without tokens

  • @Volcz said:

It is laziness. Good players will go hunt for it b/c its still strong. The changes are only on PTB.

That said, I just did a game where I did 4 gens for my team, got Undying + Ruin out of the way, and they still threw. So couple laziness with just being bad players and its almost a guaranteed 3k/4k for you. Always a bad feeling when you're the 1 person on the team actually getting stuff done.

yeah when I'm the only one who seems to be finishing gens or I see people swarming the killer and trading hooks like it's baseball cards I consider it a hatch match and rush my objective points while they got the killer busy and then start looking for the hatch on the last guy and hope it spawned already and that I find it so I'm ready.

As in every bloodpoint event, there are people who play to earn bloodpoints and have fun, and then there’s the David.

David players are notoriously known for farming other players with the intent of maxing out their WGLF stacks, only to be eliminated quickly and move onto the next game, rinse and repeat.

If you find yourself a victim to this type of player, pls remember to excuse yourself from the pre-game lobby to protect yourself from said farming.

that's why I get people hooked with wglf on other characters lol.

  • @crowbarman said:

    Yes, another key thread.

I try to tunnel out survivors with the key, but in this case someone else just picked it up after I killed one. Much later in the match I was chasing the one who had it, who hatched out and started end game collapse.

With multiple survivors left at end game collapse, it's almost a garanteed loss.

The survivor messages at the end telling me how I sucked made me feel better, though. One survivor played on PC but had an Xbox account as the ready to send messages. You could tell he'd done this before.

the more they run killers off of the game, the sooner the devs will start giving stuff back to you rather than only taking them away from you, so they're doing God's work. No offense intended. I'd take a break until things get better or just play survivor mostly for a while since it makes more of an impact the more not only remove themselves from queue as killers but add more survivors onto their queue. Consider it a method of peaceful protesting
