god I love haddonfield against most killers. hopefully the rework maintains the spirit of the map. which is easily losing a killer or avoiding detection to begin with with the many windows, ledges, rooms and drops and things to hide behind. only the gen that tends to spawn around the middle or toward an end of the map in the road really is any concern and it's easy to do if somebody ties the killer up early in while it's gotten out of the way safely.
-
so nobody was testing their first gen for it? and then looking for it 1st or double or triple teaming gens if you were on gens too hard? and yet will probably still complain about it and get another thing taken away from you guys lol. I honestly don't know why you guys still play this game outside of addiction and lack of competition.
-
Then you either can't get used to usually hitting the skillcheck or you aren't using ds right. The right wayt o use it is to hide in alocker in the killer's face with at least 20 seconds left on it or right after being unhooked or finishing a gen in their face if you notice they aren't slugging and seem noobish unless you're trying to hold onto it to bm at the exit gate by crawling out or using ds and dead harding out.

Apparently it's a bug that allows them to do that. So thank god for that...
lmao. that would be so funny

lol he lost exhaustion, has to keep track of two kinds of pots now, and one of those pots buffs survivors' speed lmao. clown nerf sounds fun

Killer Instinct 1up is looking pretty good too.

devs have said more than once they don't like the idea of it or it's strange tot hem but they don't care who does it as long as your gameplay doesn't 'punish' anybody for not wanting to participate. when you're a killer that wants to farm, and somebody isn't playing along, whatever you want to do to lash out in frustration or 'nudge' them into playing along to ease the discomfort you want to create you should consider among those things that would get you banned if they recorded and reported you enough times for it. Same when you're survivor and if for some reason you don't want to farmt hat game or don't like farming in general, doing those things to you to frustrate or pressure you into playing along is reportable for them but be sure to record the whole match to allow it to be more clear to whomever looks at it. If they do it so much that they've been reported many times for it, somebody is sure to look at them eventually and the pattern shows intent.

Just for information and to stop you speculation, cross progression are already a thing, and right know only for Steam and Stadia. ( Switch will be next )
You have all information on this site :
And yes they need the authorisation for Xbox/Playstation/Microsoft Store and no they don't give this authorisation easily.
I remember on steam back in august or september, think it was september, people posted in steam discussions about losing bloodpoints, bloodweb levels and I think even shards when they put multiple platform's accounts onto the same behavior account so I'd let other people beta test it first when it comes. Not to be cynical about it, but it seems the wise thing to do.
I haven't been playing much lately anyways, might for the weekend though for double bp since nexusmods is down and I can't get the Frontier mod for New Vegas yet (I wonder how many people were trying to get it to have taken the whole site down usually only happened when bethesda games were on steam holiday sales and people went enmasse looking for mods). I will definitely be holding off and letting others tbeta test the account merges though, since I'll be getting bp on my PS5 account during this current bp event, while my steam has all dlc except the twins (bought the survivor with shards and have teachables on steam and PSN both) and perks and I want to see what problems any merger could lead to between them.

I think this is an older code since I think I've seen a discord named one before, and if so, if we've used it already it won't work

If they added any 'punishment' for camping it would probably involve survivor queues hitting 30 minutes finally in the evenings where I play.

@AmPuddin said:
I downloaded some graphics drivers off of Geforce experience, nothing changed, and what i mean by reset is I factory reset my pc.
The other guy quoted might have the fix for your problem, since if you factory reset windows you will need to both catch windows back up on it's updates (just fire up windows update, and let it roll) and you may need some runtimes and other things installed whichc an both be brought up to date through windows updates with some and the steam installer for others. So verify file integrity, and in a worse case delete the game and install it fresh after updating windows fully (steam's should have installed those things on the game's first run ont he new windows if you save your library like I do but a fresh game install may still help when you have problems in these situations).
There's clearly an issue with the game's install or some sort of runtime updates you need after the reset, since it likely put you back to older versions of some of them. There may even be some dx optimizations in more recent windows updates or builds, since I also have no clue which window build your pc set itself back to but I assume it's an older one.
There's also the possibility if you didn't copy your app data folders from backing them up that you may have forgotten about some gameusersettings.ini optimizations you made and are now losing those benefits since you've had new folders and files created by the game in there. Since you're on pc, you can modify the top 7 or 8 settings in there the ones related to the graphic presets such as shadows and shaders and texture quality and draw distance. iirc, 0 is for low and 3 is for ultra. Lower the post process setting to 0 or to 1 (low or medium) and you should immediately get at least 5 or 6 fps back on most maps. Do not touch any other settings in any other file though or you risk a ban from lazy anticheat.
-
You really never saw survivors bring items in matches much before? Or is it just you're tired of keys, or seeing a lot of toolboxes and hate thinking about the money you shouldn't have spent to get hex undying knowing it's about to get tossed in the shredder? It would still be somewhat decent afterwards if a fifth perk slot also unlocked, but we all know that isn't gonna happen and thatc orrupt only uses one slot and lasts a finite amount of time without the risk of being dispelled before that set time.

You can take one for the team and do my portion for me, comrade. I'm not touching killer much any more lol.

One of the things they advertise about adding cross progression is that you keep your DLC and progress. i.e. you don't have to buy and unlock everything again. They've already done it with Stadia, but no one cares about Stadia, and adding this feature for consoles would benefit a lot more of their player base. I wouldn't be asking about this if it wasn't a thing they've claimed that they wanted to do.
It really is ultimately up to the platform holders I think though, but I may be wrong since there obviously are free to play games available. It would be best to not need to buy things again, but I have no idea how they would credit things to psn accounts based off of their own cloud saves for example if your steam account has them credited since they would need to credit those as a purchase in order for the consoles to unlock them on those installs I think.
-
even if you ever can choose a save to port over or it can combine perk progression/unlocks if you have ones on each platform you don't on the other... you'd still have to buy the dlc again on pc to access those characters there. they'd have their stuff unlocked, but, you wouldn't be able to use them without buying them with dlc or sharts still that's pretty normal. even in destiny 2 you still gotta buy the expansions over again for the same thing. each platform doesn't wanna lose the cut oft he sales from that while hosting the stuff on their markets/launcherss.
-
did you update the driver, update windows, or update the game between then and the restart or have you also noticed temps being higher after for some reason? you clean the dust out of the pc? check if background programs aren't running you forgot to close after boot, and do a malware scan some parts of malware don't show up until after the system reboots actually lol. if by reset you meant reinstall orblank state windows then check your driver settings too if you customized any of those to optimize and also use the most up to date gpu driver and not the one windows 10 think it knows better than you about when it auto installs it. Even when it's teh same driver version , that still elps some people believe it or not.

Listen please. Second wind requires you to heal the equivalent of one health state to a survivor that isn't you.
I think this means that if you get interrupted at 50% but then do 50% on another survivor the perk will still activate.
The pay off is a heal after being unhooked provided you can loop for at least 20 seconds.
The benefits of this is if your getting tunneled and you manage to get rescued and run away you can safely work on a gen or heal your rescuer, this saves you 16 seconds where the rescuer heals you instead allowing you to run to the closest gen.
It's also effective in looping, if you were recently unhooked and you make it to a loop you loop for 20 seconds and your healed.
If you want you could combine this with DS to guarantee your safety... But then it would be uncounterable... So don't.
It's not uncounterable like most Meta Perks but it sounds good. Would like people to share their opinions.
dead hard with twist and turn, second wind, ds, and unbreakable, soul guard or deliverance for the lulz
it's too bad you don't have 6 perk slots to pop all 6 of those together or swap out second wind and soul guard for no mither and iron will for more fun and switch between the loadouts. 6 perks please. Hell with even 5 perk slots we could combine our efforts and make almost every killer quit the game in due time if enough players pitched in. give us 5 perk slots please, do it for the lulz

Some mysterious tweets and a statement by Kane Hodder hint that Gun media may be gearing up for a new game featuring a new horror icon.
tot he dude directly above, 200 perks with only about a dozen at the most on both sides really being worth using. so the rest don't count when they are too situational or practically a waste of the slot they're in. F13th Died long before the lawsuits. It failed to keep a playerbase which dwindled fast due to questionable dev choices.
The original F13th devs also already made a new IP which was predator hunting grounds which also has failed to keep a playerbase.
Like it or hate it DBD has been the only successful game of its kind and many have tried to compete over the years and each one has been labeled as one which will kill DBD.

So... Is almost a consensus that the new Hud is really beautifull and brings some fresh air to the game, but the placement is really bonkers, since you get information scattered all over the place. It's bad as both survivor and killer.
Since we're all agreeing that the new icons are really good, and almost the majority of playerbase/feedbackers want the new stuff, but with the old placement, I think it's fair to say that's something really good for the Dev team and, if they listen to us, could be really implemented, like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KB4SOOFIVHRJ/ui.png
Now all we can do is wait and hope that they really listen to the feedback from the community.
if enough survivors are bothered by it they'll change it, if it only bothers or makes it harder on the killers they probably won't lol

F13 was not going to kill dbd. I was a different kind of game, and from what I can gather with substantially less depth and replayability. It struck me as a "try this one night and never touch it again" kind of game, rather than a "minutes to learn, months to master" sort of thing like DBD
lmfao, dbd is the game "lacking depth". You could kill Jason, a player could come back when killed and get another chance to save the others, you could hide well enough to win on that alone for those that enjoyed hiding more than holding m1 or 'looping' constantly, the objectives became dull like with any other game like if you wanted to get the car going but that's an issue with every game somebody plays too much. Jason being able to be fought back against, but still feeling powerful and fun to stalk around with already made it better than dbd in my book where all you do here is literal crouch and hide when a leech or creep around and hold m1 in a circle around the map unless you happen to be running around in a circle instead when seen. This game feels indie compared to what f13th was becoming, this game even looked like trash for almost 4 years straight until they finally began touching it up graphically so not only did it feel like it once you played it out dbd also looked like it until this year. F13 allowed to continue further development absolutely could have slain this game, and slapped it around like a red-headed stepchild if the stupid copywrong bs didn't get in the way of it.
Another important thing is that F13 was built around voice chat and that was included with the game, and the killer and survivor could hear each other too which provided more potential fun and while it could be abused also encouraged people to remember they were playing a video game and having fun and that the other side is a human being too. This game wasn't built around voice chat, so when it's used it's game breaking and the killer is excluded from ever using it tot heir Own advantage in any way only being subject to the abuse of it against themselves to gain the effects of numerous perks by premade teams freeing up slots for yet more perks for them. this game sucks compared to F13th. You also don't have to worry about a killer shortage when the killer is random in a game and that keeps devs encouraged to keep the killer fun to keep people wanting to play.

I do this and I don't feel bad. I'm a solo que player 100% of the time.
If something like changing items at the last 10 seconds upsets you to the point that you quit the game, go ahead. 'I'll just make them waste time and get back into their 10-20m que'. Well its more like 3-7m (at least for me at red rank) and I don't mind it at all. Not like I lose my item. I think killers that do this think they're getting one off on the survivors, but its never been an issue for me and I just que right back up.
I'll keep doing this and killers who suck/can't play around it, will continue to d/c in loading screens. Its fine. Keep doin you, pal.
well I just read the Friday the 13th devs are working on a new game with an IP they won't have to deal with threats of a lolsuit if they don't abandon it over, not to mention Saber is also working on an Evil Dead game and that one is supposed to be released sometime this year. Once that happens and survivors keep being selfish, entitled and refuse to change their tune in this game they could wind up with queues lasting over half an hour eventually if all the killers decide it's much more fun in that role in either or both of those games.
If it wasnt for the stupid legal threats after some copywrong change of hands, Friday the 13th was on course to put dead by dudelight into the dirt. It's too bad it didn't happen every time I read patchnotes or posts like yours. But this game will hopefully get the competition that it needs to straighten itself and it's survivor playerbase out either this year or when the F13 des' next game comes out without the legal bs issues F13th was killed by. Because F13 was by far the superior game, and it didn't even have the chance to reach it's full potential before that happened. I had way more fun in both roles on Friday the 13th and there were a lot more options in that game. And it actually felt like playing a game based on old horror flicks.

The perk doesn't tell you from what direction they're approaching.
To answer your question:
- position yourself to have better field of view when working your gens.
- turn your camera around to check your surroundings and especially line-of-sight blockers that could be used for a sneaky approach.
- use your hears for sound cues. Every killer has some.
- pay attention to the hud to see if a teammate is being chased or ceases to be chased (health status change, obsession indicator).
To smooth the transition, you can replace the perk with Bond.
second the bond since it also helps you see others working on a gen to help them speed it up on the bigger maps

On point - they're doing that since years already.
Notice all the Killers and perks that were released in a certain state and shortly after, they got nerfed into the ground (perhaps when they hit the expected sales numbers). Or they advertize with a "Skillbased Matchmaking System" - which turns out to be a complete disaster and get's reverted, never to be heard of again. The one thing that remains consistent, however; the implementation of new DLC content (preverably released with broken stuff to motivate people into buying, only to nerf them later on) to keep the players interested.
yeah unfortunately all competitive (and pvp is by it's nature competitive, even when games are considered 'casul') video games have been doing this for years now. But when I first saw it happening, it used to only be in those shiffy free to play shooters around 10-12 years ago and some of the other sort of ftp games though that many years ago it was the shooters that revolved their entire game around that and 'rented' content mostly guns. Now days even mainstream games from 'AAA' have done it like some ghost recon ftp game doing the same nerf/new release/nerf cycle on paid weapons where they'd release something broke af p2w, nerf it, release a new skin witht he exact same functionality and call it another gun and expect you tot hen buy that one. I haven't played many multiplayer games for too long over the past decade since I hate that they're not the fun they used to be in the early and mid 2000s where you just pop the shiff on and play it and have fun without worrying about grinding prestige, power, or paying for all sort of stupid crap even if not for power.

I want DS, BT and dead hard and unbreakable to all be removed for a few days hell just a few hours would prove something. But let me explain, these perks can be abused and waste too much time(I still think if you are scared of DS and UB you worry too much and thats why you probably lost. Hell its not even common) but lets also take it a step farther to make a point no obsession marks. Now IF killers stop tunneling and camping UNLESS the feedback says they did it when they needed to like endgame or when they had low hooks and gens are flying. If that is the case then we could check out ways to change these perks. We will never be able to balance properly because it always goes back to what about DS and UB a combo thats never even used and a combo many people can still win against by being good. Either way with that whattaboutism people will never be happy so lets gut these perks for a while and see how much tunneling happens and camping when its Not needed. If we hold killers hands and give them free wins and they take it then we know the perks are good and if killers play without trying to turn it to a 1v3 or just being scummy for no reason then we can change these perks. Btw I don't think its needed but it seems like a fun experiment
I've gotten away without any of those perks on level 1s for rift stuff, so it's not as if you would suddenly begin seeing 3k or 4k every other game. But it would feel alot less frustrating for killers though. It'll probably be an interesting idea a week or so after undying is gone and people have adjusted to that patch. It might also keep the queue lengths from going up too quickly after that.

Late second switching is a dick move, survivors (especially SWF in red ranks) switch items last seconds before match starts to get the upper hand (bringing keys or map) or just straight up bully the killer (4-man flashlight).
What I want is for killer to have a window of seconds to change their perks/addons to at least counter survivors (perks like franklin's/agitation/infectious fright = counter flashlight plays, hex: retribution/ or just not bringing totems = counter maps etc.)
Maybe DBD should lock survivors item and perks at the 15 second countdown, which gives the killer 10 seconds to change the perks they want or just dodge the lobby or whatever.
#StopBullyingKillers
I'm not sure why some don't simply dodge the lobby when one of them isn't readying up to avoid this and wasting the minute waiting to start the game. Killers in the area I play at least should be getting a match within 15 or 20 seconds by night in the area I play. When not in just a few seconds sometimes even. You could literally cherry pick your lobbies right now, while those survivors have to sit in longer queues at least at night around here just to have to wait for another killer every time they try and pull that shiff. Punish them for it by dodging them, it'll eventually deter the behavior at least in some of them.
When you sit through it, and don't alt+f4 or homescreen+close app on consoles before the offerings screen closes after they swap out you only reward that behavior. About the offering screen thing, they did it every time they saw a hidden offering from the killers before moris were taken out of the game, so don't feel any remorse doing it yourself when they pull the switcheroo on yoo. What goes around eventually comes around. If the devs didn't do anything about it when they did that to you, then the old adage "if you can't beat em join em" becomes the only sensible reaction. When it suddenly becomes no longer acceptable only after killers start doing it to survivors, then their bias becomes crystal clear with no ability to talk their way out of how apparent it would be.

I'm pretty sure most Survivors have felt the same way then dealing with an inexperienced Killer. It doesn't even have to be meant in an offensive way from your perspective but from the Killers point of view, it can very quickly look like you're purposely making fun of them.
For example when I loop a Pig and when it goes prone I simply leave the loop and watch it charge around the loop, confused as I'm not there anymore. In that moment I have a big smirk on my face as I realize that I can pull such simple mindgames on that player, which gives me opportunities to "let them look bad" for my amusement.
If you haven't experienced such situations, you either haven't played that much DbD or you're lying.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1873749#Comment_1873749
Nope, the only thing I complain about when I get camped or tunneled is the other Survivors that usually do nothing but lurk around the hook in a desperate attempt to unhook me instead of finishing the gens. I never blame Killers when they react in such a manner, I expect it and deserve it. When they camp for no apparent reason, it can happen that I get frustrated but then I simply remind myself that they probably just had a really rough match earlier on and need to release some pressure.
lol yeah, especially without the mori to blow off steam any more I can imagine there's alot more of the more annoying killers to go against being seen and sold. And now i don't need to ask myself why the devs would do that to killers any more. I just answered my own question, they sold more spirits or freddys and blights and after making undying not worth the two perk slots in a coming patch they're gonna sell even more killer packs to people too addicted to quit or switcht o survivor lmao. Brilliant. But dangerously as close to racketeering as most mobile stuff gets, in the sense of deliberately creating problems and harming the experiences in order to sell solutions that otherwise would not have been justified. I am quick to look at things in video games as close to racketeering these days after being burned out by them over the past 4 or 5 years.

Dont get me wrong, I would find it kinda funny if a Killer player waits 30 minutes for a game, just to play against 4 Solos and will most likely still lose this game. Would be interesting to see what they say when their excuse is gone.
However, everything what would increase Queue Times for either side should not be a thing.
probably wouldn't complain too often if it was more fun for them, the playstyle is part of what makes swf unfun, they abuse the ability to coordinate very well with up to date information in order to play in ways that deliberately annoy killers like timing stuns and saves and body blocking forcing you to slug etc. Then there's a lot of tbags, as if they're actually proud of themselves for doing so, as if it requires great skill to do so. Avoiding that and having it become a rare thing would be welcome to a lot of players probably.
It's kind of funny when it happens in randoms sometimes, like a night I needed a stun the killer in 3 or 4 times in a match rift thing and a couple of randoms must have thought I was trolling and decided to join in and we abused a poor hag for about ten minutes when we could have escaped. We did it until we were finally all hooked to death after a long time running the poor thing around and screwing with them. They probably assumed we were a 3 man swf, but, ironically we were randoms or I was solo at least. It's possible they were duo but they didn't seem to play like it until then. What seemed to kick it all off was letting the hag pick me up at a pallet so I could ds there, and then try and time the pallet when it wore off to stackt he rift challenge stuns before running it around and trying to still be able to escape after the rift thing lol. It'ss till funny thinking about it, playing that way was unfortunately really fun and hilarious so it's not gonna be easily deterred.

Why not? I only play Survivor to bully and make fun of my opponents, that's literally the only reason I play Survivor.
Playing the basic Survivor as it's meant to be is boring as hell, EVERYTHING you do requires nothing but M1 and the space bar. You sit on gens for MINUTES doing nothing but holding M1 and hitting space from time to time.
Chests, Totems, Healing, Gates,... They're all the same braindead activities with zero skill requirements.
Outplaying the other side is what makes the game fun. As Killer you get that opportunity all the time but as Survivor, you actively have to ask for it. That's why I normally play Killer, it's always exciting and full of action (compared to general Survivor gameplay).
So my apology but when I play Survivor, I want action and I get that action by toying and outplaying the Killer. I don't want the chase to end in 10 seconds so I teabag and taunt to get the Killer to the point where they throw the game and their only goal is to get my dirty arse.
I hope you're not the sort that then turns around and complains about how tons of killers camp you on the hook or tunnel the hell out of you after enticing them to do so.

Like many here have said, spine chill is a great counter. If you’re having trouble with stealth killers, using it will give you space to learn about stealth killers until you’re more familiar with them, and then you can maybe switch it out for another perk if you like.
Many people here have raised great points but I’ll just add something I haven’t seen here. I’ve been watching a lot of Fungoose and something I picked up from him is he sometimes start the game by running across the map to the middle generator just to get a feel of where and who the killer is while simultaneously pressuring the most important objective.
Sometimes that is not viable and that could be very dangerous especially if you don’t know how to loop. But another thing you could do is look out for puzzle boxes, cleansing springs or traps around. If you see none of those you have crossed 3 killers off the list.
Nurse, Huntress, Clown, Leatherface, Billy can usually be heard from pretty far away. Doctor usually gives off his identity when you hear screaming and see madness on your teammates. Deathslinger’s gunshot can be heard across the map.
If it’s 30secs into a trial, you see no puzzle boxes, traps, springs, hear no terror radius, chainsaws, gunshots, etc, be prepared for a stealth killer. There’s a decent chance it could be one. Plan your escape route and don’t be afraid to step away from the gen if you suspect the killer is around.
When I hear nothing, see no killer specific stff, and haven't seen anybody get injured by their status or heard or seen anybody chased by about a minute in I usually wonder if it's an afk wraith or other sort of killer afk somewhere on the map lol. Sometimes it's just somebody that somehow takes along time finding somebody, but often they seem afk after a long time like that lol. I've had a few suddenly come alive with noed though, which is something I've done before on wraith for fun, so I get my free chase points out on afk ones until I hear the gates are powered since I started seeing more fake afks the last times I played. When I play again is often after patches for a few days or so, so it kinda figures lol.
-
Dwight's the best killer, since it's an epic insult to get tbagged by a dwight that hid in a locker the whole game when he head ons and then pallet stuns you just before getting the hatch. That's my favorite killer in the game.

You seem to know what im saying about totems being hard to find sometimes which is great - I would be interested to know if you feel devour hope only gives you value as a perk (2 perks) as insta down at 3 tokens; instead of your emphasis on 5 tokens.
All have some degree of making a survivor exposed. My argument is that all of these are time based, devour hope lasts until cleansed twice. That's the difference.
it doesn't take too long for even a single person to find two bones, and there's two perk slots down the schiffer

Imagine if they gave something like that to demogorgon, he would be the most busted killer in the entire game.

I meta nurse that forcefully hugged us in about 5 minutes on midwich, so some people can seem to use her pretty well there. In fact it's one of the last maps I want to face one since then. I prefer maps like the cornfield with her since then as long as you don't get bored or lazy it's really hard for her to catch you if you try to not be predictable. Dead hard on cornfield with her is pretty fun.

"I honestly think that there should be an option that only let's you queue up with random players. That way, SWF can still have their fun and killers can still have fun too."
This would mean, Queue Times for Killers would be higher who dont want to play against SWFs and Queue Times for SWFs would be higher. Also, Killers should not be able to cherry-pick their games, they are already doing that by Lobby-Dodging, but more restrictions before searching for a Lobby dont really make sense.
Personally, I would rather say that the problem here is the Matchmaking. Matchmaking is a little bit broken sometimes (from my experience, everytime when a Console-player is in the Match, the Matchmaking becomes odd), but there will be a MMR-system coming soonish, which (hopefully, but I dont think so) will fix that.
pretty sure anybody wanting to be able to opt out would be fine if their queue times were 20 minute for more frequently enjoying the time they did get to play. the mmr should fix this for low ranks, and for the most part mid ranks too which might be what op could find some benefit from out of options the devs are willing to even humor. I can't imagine purple or at least reds' games would change too much though from mmr compared to times there were enough killers to avoid frequent rainbows and stuff like op's situation since when they put reds versus reds they claimed it was often sweaty anyways and more frequently swf. Some said they spent a lot of time deranking every time they got sick of it. right now there isn't enough killers for it to be helpful or something is internally borked but the matchmaking is too all over the place but I'd have suggested OP afk enough to derank and do it every time they hit the rank they started seeing unliked changes in their matchmaking. That hasn't worked for a while though unfortunately.

I'm seeing a lot love and hate with the new animations. After seeing it in the ptb I'd like to see these changes. Standing still, although I like it because it's correct posture. It's still lacking something and that something is life. There is no random movement when they're still (checking themselves, stretching, etc.) and it looks a little off. Something that's also important is breathing and there's no breathing animation in the survivor. Which isn't realistic and that's what the devs are going for. Running, it looks stiff and slow in game. The only change I would make is to make it look more bouncy and faster. Last thing being injured, it looks a stiff and less lively even while walking and running. Hopefully they change that by having them check there wound or something. And making trip animation happen less. This is the ptb so things are going to change before they go live.
I think a funny idle animation for Ash would be scratching his nads LOL

I only saw a picture of gideon, but, I like the new look of that portion of the basement area it looked like. It might start to suck up top depending on just how wide open it is for survivor or stealth killer, but, I haven't played it to see what it's like up there. I wonder what the red rum looks like now.

Disks are getting the shaft next gen. They're going to aggressively try to phase them out.
They make you pay more for digital copies despite being unable to trade or borrow, and not even shipping costs justify the prices anymore.
I seen Asscreed Valalala for $10 less as a physical copy than digital. But next gen you're going to need to pay $100 more to get that option.
The reason physical copies of goods get more frequent discounts is because retailers have already paid for those products, and if they have excess or the stuff has stopped selling as well they want tot ry and get rid of it and bring new stuff in. Digital they never have that issue, especially when the console manufacturer owns the marketplace.
The main benefit to phsyical besides more frequent dscounts, is being able to trade, borrow, and sell your copies of the games, tv, movies etc while also ensuring they are not going to be taken away from you by the vendor, copywrong holder or through any other means other than straight up theft, wear and tear or a disaster of some sort if not simply losing it like on a big move. The hardware they run on can wear down though, like with VCRs, but there are ways to get the old movies that never got dvd or bluray releases into digital formats and then have them filtered and fluffed up a bit as well. Games can be ripped and played through emulators eventually.
There are some games removed on consoles I heard where even those that purchased them could no longer download them and were not refunded for those purchases and that they could only play them if they already had them installed (on limited space compared to legions of drives on pc) or were able to jimmy them onto their drives in ways that could brick those consoles firmware or get their serials banned (imagine having to install custom firmware to install a 'pirate' version of something you paid for). One good thing about Steam is Valve has agreements that when games are pulled those that paid for them can always download, install, and play them (as long as they don't need to link to servers but you can at least fire the game up like stargate resistance even though it's servers are looong dead) until the Steam service itself shuts down for any reason permanently.
To the OP, btw, Put the Disc Inside of the Console when you wanna play the games works the same with the versions on disc and the upgraded versions of them installed from the downloads on the marketplace. Also, on PS5 I noticed when i installed the PS5 version of Borderlands 3 and then deleted the PS4 version of it but left the disc inside the console it would keep automatically installing the PS4 version of the game off the disc every time I'd boot up the console. So try and remember to eject the discs when you're done if you delete the PS4 versions of games and only run the PS5 versions if you see that happen to you. I haven't played Borderlands 3 since late november or early december so they may have changed that in the system software or it may be a thing it only did to some people idk. But it's good to do that if you don't like hearing it checking the disc periodically too lol.

So I read that they'll convolute him by giving you yet more to think about, plan for and keep track of as a killer by making a slow down and speed up pot... and that the yellow pot will also speed up the survivors. sounds like if I wasn't into giving clown too many tries before I certainly would never do it then. Idk ######### they're thinking sometimes.

Why? Why? Why do we ALL need to be reset to 20’s? I am a 7-9 I have worked hard I just played killer 1’s who killed all survivor’s in under 1:00 mins. I was playing with a 5-8-9-15 they killed us. Before that we were a 8-9-15-20 and the poor 20 girl was brand new we had a 1 killer. I have so many friends who are quitting the game. I don’t know what these people are thinking resetting us all to 20’s I think the game is done people won’t stay
if you're that gud then you should be back to 8 or 7 in 3 or 4 long enough nights, nbd. Certainly by the end of the first week. But I just remembered to edit in that I don't know how long current queue lengths are when I said that. lmao, I was thinking less than a minute for queue and averaging in ten seconds to roughly half a minute. If the queues are pushing ten minutes or longer, then yeah, probably not much reasont o play considering you'll randomly get throws iny our games after sitting so long justt o have it happen.

I mean, while what you say is true, let's not forget that other developers have already tried this genre before and failed. Last Year which failed, relaunched then failed again because the player base dwindled. RE: Resistance, which did last a while but again, failed as the playerbase dwindled. Then there was that Predator game, which god knows what happened to that because I hear nothing about it even existing at this point anymore. So unless these upcoming games throw some amazing features into the game, DbD will still be the leader in this genre for a while.
Last Year was abandoned by it's devs within about amonth after the discord release, with communication being silent not long after for the most part. I had that day 1 and remember that, and expected the same for it's steam release. turned out they didn't ditch it as quickly on steam, but by the time it made it to steam some of it's target players had already ignored it after discord so it already started on steam with a shrunk playerbase I bet. It alsos ounded form what I heard it still had some balance issues even on steam that they took too long to fix, but if they hadn't abandoned it at the original launch, kept up on it year round, and had crossplay once on steam it could have been balanced out and lasted much longer. (I think it did have crossplay with steam, but we all got steam keys for it anyways, but when I saw others saying they'd already let it go I figured it been a waste to install it myself too by then which was a shame since I did have fun it's first couple weeks on discord and it's maps were much better though the killers needed a lot of work and the tazer was busted as hell once people figured that out).
Friday the 13th was simply an issue with some prick going nuclear with threats to sue everything using Jason in it. That game itself, had it not been for that, was already on track to eventually beat dead by daylight like a red-headed stepchild. It had it's issues, but they were being worked out untilt hat happened and it had bots so queue length as an issue was more optional rather something you could do nothing about and the player being Jason was picked randomly anyways. There were more players a match and you did alot more than holding m1 and creeping around tot he next generator to do the same thing when not in a chase. You could even kill Jason, yet Jason still felt very powerful. And if you hid long and well enough you could win on that alone. I enjoyed that game far more overall.
Anything else, that doesn't hype itself for years just to be ditched by it's devs like Last Year or have an already well known and appealing franchise behind it like Friday the 13th just to get threatened to be sued into oblivion if they continued pushing out the character's content could blow dbd out of the water if it was released finished, playable, and fun and fair enough for all sides involved. Evil Dead could be a massive disappointment, but here's to hoping it's not even if you'd still rather stick to dbd since that would provide competition forcing dbd to also get better to not lose players to it. That way everybody wins regardless of which game they rather play.

Ever get the feeling, that if you continuely do well with a killer and take the time to really learn how to play them. That you are actively dooming that killer?

Yeah ,almost like what's the point?
^ you just need to spend some time hitting and hooking a few people and then standing in a corner both to manage the rank and to throw off the data ... if enough did that it wouldn't happen so quickly and sometimes not at all. just pickt he quirrely matches that seem like swf especially the ignore all objectives for the sake of making you have a bad time sort and let those be the matches you do it in. That would have the benefit of the data seeing swf grape you, even on those killers.

I doubt nerfing one rare, too strong addon, on one killer, that is not terribly common at like around 5% of killer picks, is going to cause queue time problems.... especially given I imagine most of her other addons are going to be improved not nerfed.
It's just iri heads and exhaustion hatchets people expected nerfed/removed, I am sure she will get mostly better things outside of that.
it's not the one thing, it's the series of things in the past few months combined. You're thinking small, probably since you main survivor (not intended as an insult, just speculation), and aren't thinking about the overall impact to the experience of people still playing killers through all of it. It's like constantly getting up just to get knocked down again. And at some point, people that play a killer too much won't even have potatoes to kill any more with fixed mmr on top of everything they've lost in the last half of last year and anything more they'll lose in coming patches.
It gets to people, they play a game to have fun, not sweat or perform an unpaid job as an entertainer to other players. Some have been leaving and wasting their money on undying just to have it nerfed into a waste of half their perk slots will only lead to a loss of some who hadn't yet left but would have if not for it or those it brought back even tot he game briefly. Spinning a narrative about how it isn't a big deal isn't going to convince anybody bothered by it compared tot heir actual experiences and loss of satisfaction in the game for those it will bother. I'm not saying everybody uses it or will even gaf about it, but for those who do use it and have hung on as killer thanks to it, it will. Others will just have no problem with spending ten minutes straight dodging suspect lobbies if it comes down to it as a result, who aren't yet ready to quit or are turned off from switching to survivor if the queue length is too long when and where they play.

I’m new to the game and I’ve went against the silent killers and they are the worst. Michael Myers, Ghostface, and The Pig, how do you beat them. They have zero terror radius, which is weird because the heartbeat is suppose to let you know when they are nearby. It seems like it’s free wins for these 3 killers because there’s no way to counter act that. (None that I know of). And they get to 1 hit down you too which makes it even worse. If anyone has any tips on how to beat these killers I would greatly appreciate it.
if you see spine chill on the bloodweb get it, even if you are only level 1 or level 4 and it's your only perk you can use, USE it. against any kkiller in a chase it gives a slight vault speed bump... and when that perk's icon lights up it means the killer is close and their general screen area is fixed in the direction you are in (meaning without obstacles they would see you even if only on the sides of he screen) and it means they're VERY close when it's the yellow form of the perk. It's not trainable, it's a generic perk and it is available as soon as you start the game if it appears in the bloodweb (rng), and it's agreat way to help get a feel for things like threat radius and visibility and how long you can stay on a task or in spot etc with the warning it gives. It's also a good heads up on whether you might be facing a stealth or low radius killer.
You'll eventually develop habits and sense of things that can help against threat radius killers too after using it long enough. It can wind up becoming a crutch though so once you get a better feel for things and find you're being found less enough try out some other perks too and see what's best for you. Relying solely on a perk is never a good idea since once in a blue moon even survivors get something nerfed.
