The only people who don’t want voice chat in solo are bad killers who like to stomp these poor survivors.
Every other MP game has voice chat, so if you’re against it mute it or go play single player games. Period.
What are you talking about ? They're a lot of MP game without voice chat... By design or only because the game don't need it ( for example FFXIV developer don't want to add voice chat to not divide the community ). I don't even know how someone can seriously said that EVERY MP game had voice chat. Monster Hunter a game where MP are a big part of the experience don't had voice chat, Among Us don't had voice chat, .. Seriously I just don't want voice chat on this game : I don't want to hear tryharder survivor and I don't want that those tryharder don't rescue me from the hook because I don't use my microphone.
I don't even see scneario where the dev could think that voice chat are a good thing for this game.

this makes no sense though especially for games like overwatch 2 launching with cross progression
Say this to Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, they're the one that decide game by game if they allow it or not( and of course with money ).

They probably want you to buy all that content again. When console people play the game on PC they realize just how bad the console version is. I semi wonder if BHVR did that on purpose -.-
In fact Sony and Microsoft don't give the authorization easily because they want their share on every DLC played on their console and they don't want that people migrate from a console to an other... So before giving the right to devs for cross-progression they do some math to estimate what they won and what they lost. ( And it's important shortly before and after the release of new consoles )

It really is ultimately up to the platform holders I think though, but I may be wrong since there obviously are free to play games available. It would be best to not need to buy things again, but I have no idea how they would credit things to psn accounts based off of their own cloud saves for example if your steam account has them credited since they would need to credit those as a purchase in order for the consoles to unlock them on those installs I think.
Just for information and to stop you speculation, cross progression are already a thing, and right know only for Steam and Stadia. ( Switch will be next )
You have all information on this site :
And yes they need the authorisation for Xbox/Playstation/Microsoft Store and no they don't give this authorisation easily.

It's a known bug patched on the 4.5.0 version ( even if this version is not live you can read it in the patchlog )

Proximity chat will be used for toxicity AND for most part will be useless because of different language.
-
Simple fact : Dev can't follow every suggestions or complaint and because you're louder doesn't mean that you represent a vast base of player ( player post to complain not to say "this perk is balanced" ).

It seems like everybody dislikes the new UI but i'm actually a fan of it. It's simple, clean, and gives you much more useful information while being small. It gives sections dedicated to each part, (survivor icons, perks, and power) so it's not so cluttered!
It's just more common for people to post when they don't like something so it create some bias. I like the new HUD too.

Sorry but clearly the only toxic person here is you.
You want to concede the game and be done with it ? DC and deal with the penality.
And if losing in a game it's for you wasting time maybe you should do something else.
-
Player : Quit when they saw a little bit of difficulty.
Also player : RANK 1 IS TOO HAAAARD.
Yep rank 1 is too hard because you avoid team that can beat you so you only pip. You don't belong to you rank that's all.

Last time I play the Oni it was a free kill because of a player that forgot about the Oni power ( or underestimate it ) so... Please continue.

Thank I didn't know about this before you thread. Work fine on Switch and apparently on PS4 it would be strange that the ps5 port don't have it two.
For PS4 is : up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,O,X,Options.

The penality for not doing gen already exist : Less blood points.

Why can’t the devs do this? Even freaking games like real royale and paladins do this.
I don’t even care about my purchases. Make it limited and include free unlocks at least.
rocket league doesn’t bring over your purchases which suck sure but progression is there. Come on devs. I’m stuck on switch and have to start over to play on series x? Stupid.
Because it's not only the dev that decide of this, the devs wants the cross progression for all platform. They need the permissions and to work with Sony, Microsoft and the rights owner for licensed characters.
Stadia/Steam don't care and always say yes for cross play/cross progression, for Nintendo since the Switch as soon as the dev follow the rules they give relatively easily the permission but for Microsoft/Sony it's an other thing... ( and with a new console generation... They may be tempted to wait for saying 'OK' because Sony want that PS4 owner bought à PS5 not a Xbox thank's to cross progression )

My friend got his ps4 bloodpoints added to his steam so dunno what u mean there's no cross progression, obviously it would be harder to save the data for both cause one uses steam services while other uses xbox or PS servers etc
Nope you friend made a mistake or lie.
https://account.bhvr.com/you can only link steam or stadia account.

I personally have my crossplay feature checked and grayed out so I cannot opt out of it, literally cannot do it.
It kind of sucks to have an option for crossplay even appearing on my screen when I can't decide what I want.
And before someone asks me, yes I tried looking at the options in a party and by myself. It's got nothing to do with others.
Just try it from main menu ( before chosing if you want to play as a survivor or as a killer )

Unfortunately PC ( via Microsoft Store or any Xbox app ) and Xbox console version are considered two different versions by the microsoft store with two different save and account so he can't sync/transfert his progress.
Only version that can sync are Steam, Stadia and, later, Switch.

I mean until it's on all platforms and doesn't require you to pre-emptively make an account with BHVR there is no actual cross progression in the game.
When I can buy the game on PC and transfer all my content from my Xbox we'll talk.
You don't have to create an account pre-emptively, the site fuse the progress of all connected account. This is the définition of cross-progression but yes with a very low compatibility right now. If you buy a DLC on Stadia you cna use it right now on Steam and, in future, on Switch.

There is no cross progression in DBD. You must mean cross play. They are two entirely different things.
Account created on this site can be used with steam, stadia and , "in the near future ©" Switch to share progression/friends and unlocked survivors/killers/cosmetics.
-
"and I'm sure XBox and Playstation players would want more of an update of if there's even a CHANCE that microsoft/sony will allow crossprogression"
Sadly non discolosure agreement with Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo can be very strict and sometimes dev can say "it's ok" only when it's 100% ok.
And in the case of Dead by daylight they're many things to check :
- Every rights owner for licensed DLC must be OK ( a player who bought the DLC on PS4 and on PC is more money for them ) and even if they're are OK you certainly had to edit the contract
- Sony/Microsoft must be Ok and check if the previous step is OK too
Yeah Mircrosoft/Sony allow crossplay/progression more easily than before but this is not systematic and of course they only look game by game what it's more profitable for them in terms of income.
( And yeah i hope too that the crossprogession will come to all platform one day, i started the game on PC via Xbox Game Pass, i plan to go to Steam version because it's my only way to cross-save with Switch which actually mean lose everything )
-
In this situation it's clearly a normal thing to do.
Like if the 3 other survivors stay around a hooked survivor you don't leave, against all logic, on the other side of the map only to not be called a camper.
Tunelling it's annoying for survivors and can be a waste of time for killer... But avoiding a survivor if it's you only choice doesn't make any sense.
-
Also... Don't forget that dev get the stats in real-time, so they know what killer/perk should be reworked first even if the community had a different feeling about this.
