Piggu. I like her versatility. You can play her stealthy for a bit and be successful or just chase everyone down. Her traps help slow the game and occasionally just outright kills. Her ambush is underrated tbh, since I half the time get a hit just sneaking up on gens.
Plus boops.
lmao a pig pulled me off of one last night for my first time not catching before it happened, combo of a bad spot and my mind wandering for a moment before i thought to pan the cam around again. It made me laugh but also shriek and sound almost just like my character at the time... and I'm a guy who happened to be playing a girl when it happened.

It shouldn't be a free win for a ok killer or free kills for a bad one either so your point is invalid, it's not balanced in anyway.
Well there is no game without killers, and between things like object swf or some high trolly swf in general and them being matched against killers who mainly are even on killer just doing dailies and would rather survivor you'd wanna encourage those more "casual" killers to keep providing matches. It's not rocket science. And since you provided no reason that "it's not balanced anyway" your own is invalid. I won't respond further to you specifically since I avoid flamewars and pointless arguments. When somebody is deadset on something especially in these kind of games, there really isn't room for debate anyways I've learned.
-
I play mostly solo survivor and I believe it's fair, just cleanse totems when you find them or remember where you saw and then don't screw with the killer endgame feeling entitled to a free trip out the zoo
-
yeah anti camp, and also gives more bloodpoints making it a win-win. exception would be object if you suspect a 3 or 4 man premade where you might not get anybody but object and the random bait if it's a 3 man until you tunnel or camp object out of the game

Yeah you could do that, the downside with solo q'ers picking it up is the person who's item got dropped will be looking for the aura and when they don't see it will give up thinking the entity ate it.
good point there actually, I've done 3 man with object before, but not too often so I wasn't thinking about that aspect of it actually. plus there's just the risk involved in going back for an item unless you know where the killer is through somebody becoming injured or an aura like alert. A lot of folks probably avoid going back at least until they know it's safe in some way. So good point there.

Honestly I feel that 90 seconds is too much. With the aura reading It makes it too easy for a swf teammate to run over, pick it up and put it back down. Just another example on how the game cannot be balanced with both solo queue and swf's.
you could do the same as solo if you know around where they got hit and knew they had an item from the lobby, that one really isn't too much of an advantage to swf actually. I play solo usually as survivor and I'll be happy to pick up and drop something if I know around where it's happened and it's safe and omw to a gen or totem.

SWF, according to dev stats from the past, make up for 70% of matches in some form. 2 man, 3 man, and 4 man.
I knew i was seeing a lot of 3 man lobbies when i do killer because of the idles and them poppin in usually 3 to 4 at the same time. I also noticed sometimes there's 2 man, sometimes but much less common double two mans. Those I don't mind though even the double two mans as long as they don't pull the delayed ready up stunt to try and swap out toolboxes or flashlights. But it does necessitate tunneling with so many actually being actual 3 mans.
-
if they're being camped, not being saved, or they thinkt hey'll get tunneled I don't blame em since it's minutes spent that could go into a match where they could make some bloodpoints and/or have some fun. you have to remember they aren't workers, they're players... just like you. if it isn't gonna be funf or them, and they'll not make anything for it happening so early and feeling like they'll probably get tunneled before they get many points being the first guy hooked... they're gonna wanna not waste their time there. The time adds up eventually into whole entire matches worth of time that could net them a lot of bloodpoints from other matches combined together. Basically, they're either not having any fun, just had a match or two where they got camped or tunneled and don't wanna put upw ith it again, or they're leaving bloodpoints on the table... time is money is the saying and bloodpoints are the game's money.
Once the cakes are gone it's gonna happen more often since killers seem to like tunneling the first guy hooked, and the reason you may have seen it spike lately is because lately myself I've noticed fewer cakes being used by survivors. So they just realize they're not really losing anything and the next match could have many more cakes or at least some cakes. It's a practical decision considering the time spent for no gains and having no fun as well. I expect it to happen much more often once cakes are gone, or people start saving them for the next double bp event or something. It just makes sense, people don't log on to run a soup kitchen they log on to have fun or make bp and dot heir prestige or get teachables they need unless they're the sort just gets on to troll other survivors and the killers.

If they did do an Evil Within chapter, it would probably be The Keeper, and he could have maybe 3-4 lesser abilities that mix between present Killers.
However, if DBD managed to do a "Last Year" and produce a none-humanoid killer (I know it's not likely) Obscura would be my pic. That thing was legitimately freaky!

It could be conditional. My concern is giving something to one side and not the other. Concerns to address are game flow, pipping, and points.
I honestly don't care about pipping on either, but especially on killer since I see swf with high ranks already enough without making it more likely to happen. bloodpoints are what I'm after, but also not being screwed with. So it would be more flow and points with me, probably there are enough others who feel the same about pips. I never cared much for rank in games beyond it leading to balanced enough games where it felt head to head or a fair chance to win or lose. The killer loses a lot of potential points though when they dc early since they can't interact with them. That and it feels less fun when it's really early since it ends alot faster and often happens when you got a good match going making it not last as long. I also tend to let a guy go on those if they're last left, not sure how that affects my points but if it becomes a steamroll after that I figure it's decent to let the last dude open the gate or something. Sometimes I'll close the hatch for points, but, thent hey get the gate and a wiggle and the gate if downed to temporarily maintain control.

The Thing.
quasi stealth, take the form including trinkets and perks of a hooked survivor and have perks and auras treat them as as urvivor briefly. Let survivors you maim come to you. Act as if you're ready to embrace them in your loving arms and heal them while air supply is on the radio... and then nemesis style forcefully hug em as tentacles fly out your face when they realized they should just have went for vault speed and iron will.

any sort of trap iirc, you can crouch walk through without triggering it. but sometimes when you're on one that way, and then say try to disarm it like a trapper's, sometimes that's triggered the trap for me. might be a buggy interaction or something though since it doesn't always dot hat but I avoid doing it that way now anyways. but one of the times urban evasion might come in handy, might be against a killer like pyramid head since you could crouch over his lines while going at walking speed over them. Otherwise unless it's a map where I can hide quickly around a genw ithout scratch marks though, that perk turned out to work against me by using up a slot thatc ould have gone to somehting else. But ons ome maps and against some killers like the hag too... I liked urban evasion. There just didn't seem to be enough opportunities to make the most out of that perk though since it's all rng even the killer you face on top of the map and layout.
But basically just crouch walk over traps and the ph lines. Maybe wait a little later on the save to be sure you'll have enough time to crouch over it unless he already knows you're there and is coming. If he makes the circle too close tot he hook or a gen though it'll disappear, took me a bit to realize that when I was using ph lol. I just came back more recently and the last time I played you could literally trap a guy that just got off the hook with the trapper, I had an outdated mindset. I remember the counter to that being if you were on the hook holding m1 so you immediately went to disarm the trap after coming off the hook lmao.

This seems more like the new hack that is out currently, survivors can finish all gens instantly and cause the egc timer to drop to 0. You can see it in tru3talents videos.
well that sounds lovely
-
just save the cage for when you can't make it to a hook or you know/think they have ds. think about it that way maybe. if they have to step in your line to get out after an unhook, you can punish them if you suspect they have ds by sending them to the cage instead of letting them get to use it. Still pretty damn useful in that sense
-
lmao, temp speed boost or auto completes a gen, you want the killer to disconnect next? and just imagine how swf taking turns with who disconnects would abuse the hell out of that on the last gen or two just to try and troll the killer. already seen a few people doing it for the hatch.

DOCTOR IS STUPID
3 seconds without being able to jump windows / pallets, drop pallets and use dead hard and if you are crazy 3 you cannot heal, make a generator or use an item. The only thing I can do is alt + f4
or you can sit and snap out of it if you know the killer isn't really around, the constant terror sound was confusing to me at first after coming back after years but that's all you really gotta do is to literally just "snap out of it" once you hit madness 3 and try to not miss the skillcheck since that makes you yelp and shows him where you are. I also learned to not trust pallets while above madness 1. without that, the doc would be crap, it's what he has going for him being able to free up a perk slot and put something where he'd have maybe a second aura or the plague girl's scream perk otherwise as another killer. Some of the addons are also quite nice, and you learn to remember which pallets were used eventually once you faced him enough times. Playing him might help make it easier to go agaisnt him, although a lot of them I see are using monitor and not play entirely the same as mine. I extend his radius for the big shock rather than try and shrink it, which often works well for me.
I actually prefer to Not use monitor and abuse (I prefer to use that on stealth to shake things up or guys with a smaller natural radius like the deathslinger which I'm not too good with yet but might try out more soon), I use distressing instead on my doc to extend the reach of the big shock and build up madness in them all more quickly as well as see which gens need a hittin with less walk time around the map. Plus faster bloodpoints in case it's gonna be one of those short games and not in my favor. But surprisingly, I do decently with doctor. I even made a guy dc earlier lmao. The distressing combined with the big shock must be real annoying I'll give you that. But the big shock has a long cooldown though.
I sometimes used it after a hook just to see if anybody was hanging around for the save (if it wasn't a spot where shock therapy and saving it works better around small placements near the hook or lockers shock therapy also makes them yelp through) or to see if it was safe to run to a gen if not get another guy that was hoping for a save. But against some teams I need it to shake them off a gen (sometimes they'll scatter like roaches, though I know at least one or two hang around if I go for somebody else) or to find the next guy to go after or even a guy who's already been hooked once or twice. depends on how the match is going, I also mix it up in between but with distressing I tend to throw it often off cooldown if I'm not in a chase already since it wastes a lot of their time snapping out of it and helps to keep on a guy frequently without needing to use so many perks for aura besides bbq and something like surveillance or discordance for extra security.
also the guy that said drop the pallet early is good advice, if you're running for the pallet in a chase with madness building up it's a bad idea since it often ain't gonna work for you. I had to stop relying on pallets against him during a chase as a survivor lol. Playing as him you can see them lit up and maybe get it drilled into your brain a bit better for the next time you play survivor and face one so you're thinking about it while playing.

having to have a perk already that limits you to 3 perks available for almost the entire match, and that after such a long amount of time will probably be cleansed if it becomes a totem active the entire match... would mean they may as well take it completely out of the game so that people that didn't know better would never waste a valuable perk slot with what would have become literally the most useless perk in the entire game.
It would also make some killers unplayable to a lot of people, and it would also remove a second chance that a lot of non sweaty killers have to make some points or get a kill or two at end game. It would also make it way tooe asy to save people end game, and make it way too common for 3-4 escapes especially against swf. If you enjoy having a queue, I wouldn't ask too sincerely for a change like that since you know what they about being careful what you wish for... you might get it. And then lose a lot of killers that aren't mlg while swf and certain perks like object combined with mlg are already annoying enough to deal with.
Considering how busted the matchmaking is, and possibly some of that due to a lot of people not wanting to even play killers at higher ranks so eventually it gives them the poor low rank killers is my take on it, when they're a casual or low rank killer especially one that just does dailies usually as most of their killer matches they're not even gonna wanna play killer any more. I wouldn't blame them as screwed up as matchmaking is for killers. I just saw another game completely die after what it did to it's solo side in another 4v1. It happens, even with thousands of active players it can within days drop down to just a couple hundred after one patch too many like that. Red ranks, against 15-20 killers... ######### is that. They won't even have vpn any more soon lol, if they also lost noed, but matchmaking was not fixed especially the way swf abuses it... I wouldn't be surprised if some people next touched killer again no matter how many dailies stacked up and I wouldn't blame em.
Some trolly groups you wind up ironically feeling more afraid of while being a killer than when you're alone as a solo survivor not being afraid of a lot of killers at all. Truly ironic for a horror game. It actually just made me laugh thinking about it. The survivors are the real killers in this game lmao. I don't rely on noed on more than one killer currently, but it's still a helpful perk especially on that specific one and more especially against cocky, ballsy swf. It punishes them.

and by doing exactly that, you literally gift them the 4k.
if you wanna do that, go for it. but then dont come here and complain about campers (not saying you would, but there are a LOT of anti camping threats out there).
and dont expect your team (you know, the guys you abandoned and doomed with your decision) to be kind and understanding. you would probaply be the one they come here on the forum to complain about then.
for me, players that do exactly that are the reason why playing solo survivor is a pain in the ace.
i have lost so many games, because someone couldnt afford to just sit on the hook for TWO MINUTES, i have come to the point where i literally report players for immediately suiciding on a hook, cause its that unfun to have and it gives you such an unfair disadvantage from the getgo - it has ruined too many of my games at this point.
there is a reason why DC penalities were introduced - and honestly, i feel like hook suicide penalities should become a thing aswell.
I don't complain about the camping as long as sodoku remains a penalty free option to not be subject to the boredom, and while camping in some situations is a viable and even necessary tactic as a killer like when facing object and having already suspected swf in lobby due to syncing idles and somebody not readying up with flashlight/toolboxes swapped out last second. If they're using object after That kind of lobby, and I nail the object guy early on, he's gettin camped until he taps out or dies naturally lol. Since I am not a sweaty killer and usually just doing dailies or a quick rift challenge while trying to get some bp and don't have the tolerance to entertain them with those sort of shenanigans and expect that if it turns out to be a voip I'd not even get to swing at anybody else anyways until object is gone. If theyd on't like that, they can stop abusing object or tap out on the hook and get it over with lol.

Many words in response to your original post, way too many. All you need to know is:
If a killer is camping, ignore it, do gens. Camping is a way for a killer to guarantee that he/she loses the game.
unless they're facing object and possibly voip swf abusing that perk,t hen it might become the only way to assure you'd ever get anybody else.

aswell as stop suiciding against them - ffs you are literally dooming your entire team! ;-; (sry thats the one thing i see so often that turns an easy 2 or even 3 man escape into a 4k. please people, LEARN.)
You have to understand the guy that gets hooked early and facecamped, is literally getting Nothing for wasting 3 minutes of his own time that could be used already being finishing first gen or hitting one up by then in another match. Of course they're gonna suicide in that case.
The other day somebody ran a bubba straight into me at a really bad spot not even half a minute into a match and he literally sat right in my face, and I tapped out since I was gonna get literally nothing but the measely few hundred or so for the gen I was on while also having to deal with my extremely low attention-span on top of how much that idgit ticked me off. Naturally, well before that three minutes of face would have taken to end, I was already on a gen in another match. Maybe that dude shouldn't have leashed his agro off onto me and gotten me facecamped if he wanted 3 teammates (he only had 2 anyways, even if I'd stayed and literally did nothing but twiddle my thumbs for no bloodpoints at all and completely wasted my own time... my own time idgaf about the guy's time that got me facecamped just like he doesn't care about mine for all I know they were even 3 man swf and I was their bait). They should at least give people enough incentive to sit through that for a bunch of total complete strangers over starting a fresh match. Nobody wants to work for free. It makes no sense. The time you spend there, you don't make any bloodpoints at all if it happened too early into the match and might as well move on knowing it's a good chance it's a 2 or 3 man swf happy to have the bait anyways. They didn't even use any cakes except the killer lol, I wouldn't even have gotten 2k bp out of that, which wouldn't have been nearly enough to sit there and put up with that anyways since it happened so early into it.

Yeah, but that feeds their flaming rage against this style of "camping". It is a kind of self fulfilling prophecy.
And every now and then it will be a delta squad and ruin the day of the killer, so I don't like swf myself too much but hey nothing we can do against that.
If I'm doing killer dailies, or trying to do a few killer rounds for faster bp with a killer I have bbq with and I see a red survivor aura especially right off the bat I farm them and assume it's a swf group. I'll literally facecamp them and not take a risk even trying to tunnel because of ds and flashlight shenanigans if I saw those and managed to get them up and hooked safely. When you can be 17-15 and get 1 to 3 red ranks and a low rank survivor with them abusing the matchmaking like that, on top of a voip edge especially abusing a perk like object... expect that to happen sometimes. If you're using object and I get you, I'm sorry if you're an unaware solo not knowing better but you're being assumed a troll and swf and getting facecamped until you suicide on the hook or the stage countdowns getcha since I assume I'm never getting anybody else until you're gone anyways and by that logic don't mind a little round of Ernest Goes to Camp.
π Imagine me and you, and you and me, no matter where the object rolls... it has to be. The only one to hook is you, as you see me... so campy together. I can't see me hookin nobody but you... until you're gone. πla la la
-
Sounds like a great idea if Killers (really everybody, including solos who get used as bait lol) also get an option to avoid swf, or indicate who is within a swf group while in lobby so they have time to dodge, or to at least add those players to a list that tries to avoid matching them together in the future.
