I had to stop playing yesterday because all my games were with Brown rank teammates vs Red Rank killers.
Today - exactly the same. 2 games with immediate DCs by teammates who are brown ranks. Last Game was Me (Rank 2 now), a Rank 6 and two Rank 20s vs a Rank 3 killer.
This is almost 20 games in.
Not only this... but on PS4 SWF isn't working properly. We don't get each other's invites. And we can't even back out of our own lobby to go to the main menu where you can choose to play killer. We're just stuck solo in a lobby and can't SWF.
This game would be so great with some quality devs.
so what I heard from you is that I should play killer on my ps4pro for now, and maybe actually start a savefile on it since I never touched it there due to lack of pc progress transfer... rather than keep dealing with the kind of matches I've had as killer on pc the past few days. I'm no longer buying costumes for any killer that I don't plan to afk for as long as I play to at least attempt to maintain some potential of having any fun with it, otherwise it's gonna be a waste of money. no more potatoes will fill out partial (duo or trio) swf lobbbies any longer if you play a killer too much. You will hit a point where it becomes a total waste of time or you'll feel as if you should be getting paid to play it. Other people who works as entertainers, providing entertainment to other people get paid for their work... why shouldn't you?

I am Rank 1 killer since always and I got some matches with low ranks (20-12) and I destroyed them so hard that I did not get a PIP. Then it happened again and I thought: what if I destroy them every match and dont pip, will I ever get red ranks as enemies?
over 30 matches later: NO! I maybe sometimes get one red survivor highest rank in over 30 games was RANK 4!!! I only get people with nearly no perks! I cant get higher rank in MM by playing at my maximum. Your system is heavily flawed!
so a solution to mmr getting so high you never get another potato to offset 3 way swf lobbies besides the obvious of afking while watching tv is facecamping for the penalties if you cannot annihilate them before many gens are done? sounds more fun than having to move my eyes away from some woke tv to recue and reposition myself with distressing in the centerish portion of a map for hours straight to get to and then maintain fun mode once I'm there. If they allow us to opt out of facing swf i won't do that, but otherwise, no more potatos means no more tolerance from myself for swf especially if they decide to go after moris and ruin those too. I'm also not buying any more killer outfits, since focusing on a single killer without spending at least a couple hours a day afk with it is just gonna be a waste of money I expect.

I get no enjoyment from slaughtering new players. It's like beating 5 years old child in arm wrestling, there isn't any competition so why even bother doing it. Who would have fun with that.
I was enjoying fairly good matches before this new horrible system that forces me into playing againt new players no matter how much I win. If it wasn't for Ace rift I wouldn't be playing at all since this system makes DBD unplayable fun wise for me. I'll keep playing for now but once iIve grinded enough of the rift and if matches don't get better giving me players on my level I'll be quitting DBD until it's fixed.
lol after enough swf I'd gladly take your mmr and have a bit of non sweaty fun with it while also clearing the rift for killer. I can't imagine how badly mmr is gonna screw me as killer now that sooner or later I won't even have the hope of one potato landing in a 3 way's lobby any more it'll be a solo that could handle their weight and work with them better. Killer is gonna suck without a lot of afking to offset mmr gains, and I won't even bother with rifts any more if it gets too rough. It seems the past few nights before today my matchmaking already got bad enough and I would gladly rip new players a new bungie for a nice change and to be able to have some fun again without having to be ruthless and full of spite after spending half an hour dodging swf confirmed (friend list checks on non privates and lobby dodged when all are private) lobbies in order to feel it.
-
I usually 99 the gates these days, but if I start seeing a lot of noed popup due to killer woes I'll just start opening the gates and leaving it to every man for itself.
-
the real question is, why would you complain about that rather than enjoy it while it lasts? I'd happily trade killer mmr with you. killer isn't gonna be fun any more, any dailies will never get done as well as half the rifts any more for me lmao. not even gonna bother until i've afkd at least 30 matches on favorite killer or two to fix the mmr hopefully and make challenges doable. It was always miserable enough before now being able to get nothing for it when using wglf and having faster queues as survivor i could as many BP so long as my survivor mmr doesn't turn out to be whack too. but actually better teammates as survivor 9 out 10 times means more bp even when I don't escape, since protection hits also work for wglf. I'd only need to afk killer, 1st hook suiciding survivor would probably make it a worse experience since I would hit an mmr where I would have to carry the special olympics which is a herculean task.

Well here is my 5th match of the day.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RQZ4UT57VM0F/lul2-png.png
Game starts, I get on a gen. Entire team is slugged within the first ~40 seconds of the game. I let them all die on first hook, hatch out, the end.
The first 4 games were similar, killers with thousands of hours getting paired up with rank 13 slippery meat megs. Game is actually atrocious to play as a survivor currently.
tempted to play killer now and go for rifts, but, I'm thinking the smarter move is to Maybe kill 1 guy, and get no kills some matches, and not always hit survivors so that I can get the work phase finished and then begin having fun and going for rifts after 10-15 matches like that once I get (hopefully) the fun mmr where even if 3/4 games are swf 3/4 should also be potatos anyways
-
kinda regret paying too early for the rift if this turns out to be the case, since I don't think I'll enjoy killer whether the mmr works or not for different reasons each and if survivor also loses the fun I'll basically have paid for something I won't even ever use or finish.
-
eventually there will be no more potato survivors for some whether the new MM works or doesn't , for obviously different reasons each, so don't touch the moris unless you like VPN killers and having long queues as survivor once server validated hits finally arrive. The entire point of the mori is it makes an otherwise unwinnable, or extremely difficult match actually winnable for the killer where otherwise the "best play" is to camp in the corner fatherest from gens and exits and look up into the sky facing the corner hoping the next matchup is better. If you touch moris, do something about swf, especially now that eventually there's no more possibility of a potato filling in the lobby of a 3 man swf once you MMR too much.
Nerf survivors before killers any further since everybody that decides they're only playing survivor from that point on adds one more to survivor's queues (and also makes the rifts not worth purchasing any more since most won't realistically be able to complete them if they're not willing to touch killer with a ten foot pole I haven't bought the mino costume since idk if I'll even be able to enjoy using it for very long at such a price) while removing one killer that could get them into matches faster. Ignore that fact, and one day you'll find alot of regions having instant kilelr queues which people are still reluctant to play while their survivor queues take forever. And some of us are gonna lul hard when it happens and say we told you so. By that point, with modern games, a game quickly becomes unable to be salvaged if it isn't turned around asap since people rarely return to games they quit these days with too many other options available.
-
it's good to have a list so that when you wear the mmr out you can start enjoying the next one down the list for a while before afking the mmr'd up ones while not playing to get them back down to fun games or potato swf mmr

Depends on what I see them doing. For instance, if all three are doing gens? No.
If two are doing gens and one being chased? No.
Is one doing a gen, one crouching on the other side of the map, and one popping in and out of a locker? You better believe it.
the locker made me lol
I stopped mid struggle the other night because of somebody doing that
-
Before I opened the thread, I had assumed it was written by an angry survivor that's begun to be frequently basement insidious camped and I lol'd. Then I realized it's somebody who would like to be able to basement camp by proxy, which sounds like a fun idea with something like demogorgon to me.
-
sometimes, depended on how many points I had and how many cakes were used to determine whether a struggle would have beenw orth my time. now that I hardly see even a single cake any more (which isn't enough if I'm first down since I know I'll be tunneled and won't be getting wglf stacks most likely more than maybe 1) and the mmr update is all over the place I'll probably just not struggle and will jump straight into a match where I could do something more fun than sit on a hook or hurt my wrist more than chaturbate. I would also get a chance to get off to a better start and get a lot more bloodpoints, as well as hopefully not go up in mmr too quickly to the point where every single match is sweaty af and teammates are toxic.
It just seems the logical choice to either first hook suicide if killed right away by an unlucky spawn and map, or to not struggle on second hook if it seems I'm being tunneled or the team is a 3 man swf that couldn't care less about me. And unlike a dc, you still get your bloodpoints so long as they're enough to encourage doing it on the hook though if I have few points and it looks like I'll be slugged until I've bleed out most of my slug meter I'll probably just dc since it'll be less boring and I shouldn't need to do that often enough to get a ban.
-
My opinion on it is that people that weren't abusing him, especially on some maps, probably didn't have to make too much of an effort adjusting to the changes and may not even notice them much. The hillbilly should have been looked at 4 years ago, though I don't blame people that abused him considering swf also should have addressed as long ago. But taking a look into hillbilly was justified, it's just the degree of how he's touched where disagreements would be. After he's been used a while and they get more feedback, especially considering how unhappy killer players are becoming in general lately,t hey'll probably touch him up a bit to safer degrees like with addons or something.
When somebody comes back after 4 years, farts around doing a chase daily for the hillbilly and a rift challenge at the same time using rtss overlay to time it accurately... then procedes to whirl around the map and kill 3 guys and feels bad enough to let the fourth wiggle out at the gate when they don't even know what they were doing theirself any more a killer needed some tuning. I was shocked they hadn't done anything about him after even 4 years when I came back a couple or few months ago. I was equally surprised I wasn't encountering a lot of them msyelf as a survivor because of how easy he was to use.

Im getting matches way faster than before, this change may not be the best but at least it will be helpful saving us time to complete the rift
some killers may become unable to complete the rift at this rate. If you get crap matchmaking, you're screwed. If you start out easy as one of the lucky ones, and the Mm actually works as intended for you eventually... then one day the time will come where you would no longer get a single potato in a match and certain sort of rift challenges would begin to feel close to impossible perhaps even with an ebony mori depending on how your typical matches tend to go.
I can't begin to imagine how unfun it has to be now with all the horror stories I am seeing with dudes with even less killer experience than myself being paired against the epic troll swf teams I hated lmfao. But at least we might finally see the killer exodus required to really address the swf problem within a couple or few months at this rate. Nobody is gonna put in weeks or months as if the game is a second job for the simple hope the MM will finally work as intended or "properly sort them"... if you put in that amount of time doing something that you don't wanna do and probably are stressed with it's generally gonna be for a paying job and not a waste of time on a game considering you play games to have fun not run a soup kitchen on your PC providing fun to everybody except for yourself by hosting matches and being the clown for them (no pun intended).

No. Everything will get nerfed if its needed. Thats how balance works. And this game needs balance really bad.
It is literally impossible to "balance" an asymmetrical, simply because there is an uneven amount of hands and attention spans on either side. The side with the lone player, or fewest players, need to be stronger in ways for good reasons. ESPecially when premades are allowed, which ensures the capability of coordinating those extra sets of hands and attention spans magnifying their capability against the other (often lone) side. When that side is driven off in too large of an amount at once, or they start playing only the fun/easy side of the game, the queues goes up, remaining power side are often the sweatiest players, and fun even goes down for the easy side as a result which can lead to a steadily increasing decline of players. I've seen it happen before, I'm sure that I'll see it happen again, and I just hope this game isn't the next one I watch it happen to when the vocal majority (which the side with the most players always is) is continuously pandered to.

Ask yourself, "If I do this, can it help me to win?"
If the answer is yes, then refer to below otherwise proceed with the action.

If for killers it is the amount of kill you get, they need to nerf ebony mori asap
that's the only thing that makes it worth playing against a lobby that feels like it's gonna be one of those games. it's not like you have an endless supply, you might get about 7 of them into the 40s on good trees along the way. You're only gonna be able to replenish them if you dump every point you get into that same killer, and at level 50 that's a Lot of points it takes and you get less with a mori anyways those are just to blow off steam and keep some people willing to continue queueing as a killer. If you do that, you're not unlocking teachables elsewhere nor progressing any other character on either side of the fence. I honestly believe most of these sort of demands come from swf players in these types of games, as it's turned out often the case in the past with the most vocal ones.
If they ruin ebony mori, they need need a way to opt out of being matched against any swf that is bigger than a duo. Or you will see an eventual decline in people willing to play killer, I guarantee it especially after server side hit validation. The same sort of warning has been given repeatedly in other of these types of games, that when not heeded, has greatly diminished playerbase. I've seen a game more recently flatout die and loose most of it's playerbase after one bad patch for the killer side too many. No matter how many players a game has, no matter how addicted, they eventually come to realize that da nile ain't just a river in egypt and quit sooner or later if they don't just start playing the less stressful side exclusively which begins to worsen the queue times for the favored side. And those "good we're just fine without you" lines came in that other game too... but the last laugh was on them when I saw many of the same that were the first to say that then complaining about how long it took them finding a match after a while, and I laughed so hard at the irony. It looks like the other game that recently died attempted to 180 to a degree, and nobody came back from the last times I checked on it. It was too late. It can happen no matter how many players a game has, when both a history of patching and one really bad one-sided patch too many come along for an already stressed and fed up side of the game.
People play games, most do I assume, to stress less not stress more and pour more sweat into something that's supposed to be fun and a bit of an escape from that. If they're not having fun, and finally accept they aren't gonna ever, they will naturally will stop playing. The trick is making sure it doesn't become a cascade when it happens. That you don't run too many off at once impacting the queues and quality of matchmaking in a way that leads to even more wanting to leave. That's the point of no return there, since that seals a game's fate unless a miracle patch manages to save it quickly enough since nobody comes back to games once they leave them these days. They have short attention spans and there's too many games.

Wouldn’t it be easier if survivors met in a lobby together and be sent to offering screen and for the Killer to be sent to the offering screen instantly instead of the lobby? That way survivors can’t “cheat” and it’s all a surprise for everyone?
would be impossible to avoid swf and dodge the lobby, and force you to afk and waste an entire match's worth of time if it turns out a troll team you can't do much against let alone make any decent points from. killer is the side that's alone, they need more information. they're already at a huge disadvantage with only set of hands and one attention span versus four potentially highly coordinated and experienced ones... that may also be set out to waste as much of his time as they can instead of finishing in a few minutes and getting it over with. It would be nice to be able to dodge if it feels like that kind of lobby, rather than play russian roulette with it or beginning to embrace alt+f4 if the 5 minutes (when that comes back) seems like it might turn out to be faster than entertaining a bunch of trolls you run into.
This isn't going to magically fix the trolly swf problem, it's just going to make it less likely to happen for some people. Which is a good thing, but it could still happen due to "smurfing" and it would be nice to know it was gonna be that kind of lobby Before having to eat a queue penalty once those come back. checking for idle sync, looking at friend list if possible, watching for the hallmark "everybody but one guy readies up so we can all switch to toolboxes and fleshlight last second" behavior etc. If you can't do that it's not worth playing killer no matter what they do.

Dev's balance the game around randoms. SWF is a broken mechanic and it's a waste to even consider them while balancing the game. I'd be all for giving action debuff to SWF but they shouldn't judge how the game is balanced.
well they should after I been hearing devs wanna touch mori again. the last time I played, before coming back recently, you didn't need to hook somebody at least for the ebony that I recall. Now THAT was absolutely busted and I'll admit unfun for the other side completely, it wasn't fun for me when I played surivor either. But I feel it's in the right place now, you gotta hook em once before you can execute em. That makes it fair, but still a helpful tool against some swf groups to thin the herd and slow things down or get object out of the game more easily without dealing new nuisance like ds. But if theyr eally touch the moris again, there's gonna come a point where they're gonna have to do something about swf. I've seen other games die for far less frustrating one-sided play, including another asym not too long ago even. And it had a lot of players too at one point. And they vanished in weeks once the one side got one patch too many and finally decided to stop playing, and never came back even after attempts to lure them back. dead in the water basically. I would hate to see that happen tot his game too sooner or later, seeing that in some ways it has come a long way. But sitll has along way to go though.
-
unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if enough of this kind of talk just gets the good ones nerfed and makes swf even worse to put up with lol. When I came back recently, I was honestly surprised this game made it a year after swf let alone 4 years and kicking with a decently sized playerbase. survivor feels like even more of a walk in the park, and while killer is a lot better in ways (no infinite window/vault bs finally) it seems you still can only play the best killers unless you're a massochist. turns out for me the best way to farm bp is still as survivor.

Well, there is nothing you can do about it. BHVR needs to plea to Nvidia or AMD to remove custom resolution.
Excuse me? Were you dropped on your head? People use those, including myself, to allow resolutions such as 1800p coupled with gpu overridden scaling to maintain solid 60 fps with max settings on specific games. As well as using custom resolutions enabled by control panel for Vorpx. If they did that I hope the game would die and rid us of thats ort of bs and get our custom resos back. I'd take the custom resos over the game any day of the week, 52 weeks a year. How dare you demand they cripple some peoples' custom settings for literally every other game and application out there, and remove their freedom of how they use their pc and those apps and peripherals just so you can feel good about how you play a single video game. My PC isn't a console, if you worry so much go play this on console. Talk about entilement, only on a asymmetrical would I see a comment like yours.

I think we should destroy ebony mori as well as perks like devour, while making DS last all game instead of up to a minute and allowing unbreakable to recharge and swf is also pretty weak and needs a boost since they get destroyed by even rank 15 killers all of the time so maybe remove the killers' ability to see the object user so they don't even know it's presentlet alone can tunnel the poor guy then the game will be fun and balanced and you'll be fighting to get a place in line as killer. survivor queue times will be nanoseconds cause everybody will want to play killer.

I really like Moris, I like the kill animation. i think its very thematic and adds thematic fun to the game. However I totally see how this ruins the game for everybody. BPS are low when its used and survivors games are cut short, which sucks. I dont want to discuss keys right now surely if moris get changed a key change will come as well.
proposed change would be:
mori after 2 hooks. That way the only thing the add on saves is the last walk to a hook.
or take out moris all together and give every killer the passive to kill the last survivor.
defeats the entire purpose of the mori, especially against the sweaty swf... at that point I'd just go into a corner, look up into the sky, afk and hope they'd depip and get as few points as possible so that i could waste as much of their time and deny them as much fun as they did me at that point. The mori would be aliteral waste of bloodpoints at their cost versus addons at that point, unless and ONLY unless you liked the animations. the ebony would still be a waste of bloodpoints, since against the most toxic swf you might get to see that animation once, maybe twice if you were sweaty enough. not as practical to myself as just doing the corner thing so they're out within 4 or 5 minutes and I can hope for a different match. Unfortunately, the checking steam profiles thing won't work after crossplay has been fully extended to all platforms so I don't even think I'd touch killer again at that point unless they finally addressed swf if they make moris a pointless waste of bloodpoints and time.

I had everything on 0 already but it still looks smeary
yeah 0 would be low, and it goes up to med through ultra with 1, 2 , 3 ... the AA I believe causes alot of the blur when on higher resolution monitors, especially in combo with the resolution slider. it may be also, that a setting somewhere between 0 and 3 might be better iny our personal case, try 1/2 maybe for AA. just do not set read-only for the file, and do not change anything beside those specific settings and don't alter any other file than those settings in the gameusersettings.ini file or you risk a ban from what I've heard.
also, depending on what you meant by "smeary", in nvidia control panel I made aprofile under 3d settings for DBD and forced anisotropic filtering to x16 which helped alot with that as well as moved it to ssd so there's less smeary/low-res textures before the detailed ones pop-in

They allow the killer to apply immense pressure quickly, however with them losing much more overall BP
Luckily, Devs are looking into Mori’s and Keys and planning on changing them
prepare to see a lot more afk killers if you swf lol

When you play survivor you have three other people watching your back. But with killer it's all up to you, and you only. As others have stated, the margin for error with killer is low, and it doesn't help that the matchmaking for this game is completely broken. I've been playing this game for about 3 months now, and I still get incredibly nervous hopping into a match as a killer. I'm a level 13 killer but I'm constantly getting matched against purple and red rank survivors. I don't mind "losing", but I don't like being snowballed either.
snowballed had an interesting meaning in clerks that I think could apply to being killer in this game sometimes

The combo gave many things to do after a hook with the three perks together. Then I used something like sloppy to try to delay gens with mending, or corruption to slow it a little more.

@Hoodied said:
Bold of you to assume rank means anything in dbd.
Anyways I saw on a thread a while ago that Keys and Mori’s are being looked into
mori used to not need a hook at least for ebony, now they require a hook. which if you're dealing with object swf, you have to deal witht he object first often to even see anybody else. but the mori makes those toxic kind of groups able to be dealt with at least once in a while and bypasses their annoying perks like ds and unbreakable, it's not like you could be using one every game, maybe every few if you get alot of points and ONLy use them on that already maxed killer you main... but then you can't use your points on any other characters that way and if you blow your last mori on a team it turns out you didn't need it on and the one you do comes the next match you are screwed.
making mori useless against the super sweaty and especially troll swf is only going to push some more kilelrs off of the role, at least until the next killer dlc comes around. The queue for them is currently only long because of the combination of new killer+cakes event. The current queue times could flip-turn into long survivor queues or a lot of afk/macro killers farming bp if enough people get frustrated considering how screwed the matchmaking is. not a good move to touch moris without dealing with swf if they want a fast enough survivor queue imo.
I've seen people shrug this sor tof warning off before, and just saw a game with tens of thousands of active players get shrunk down to a few thousand (many afk or playing purely toxic builds designed to frustrate the other side since they lsot reasonable expectations of winning against certain types of groups) through a chain reaction (solo side left, remaining on it were trollish or afk just farming, longer queues+trollish play and afks started driving the other side away as well for having no fun) once a chain of patches only nerfing the killer side in that game harshly and repeatedly finally did one hefty series of them too far in a single patch while buffing the other side when they were already annoying with experienced players not even always needing to be on comms together to win easily once experienced enough. That other game has since done an attempt at a 180 on it to a degree, but almost no players came back to it and it's queues have been affected laughably as a result still. And it's threads steadily reflect that from the clingy players that stillc an't seem to let go of it and move on.
That could just as easily happen to this game if they're not careful, especially if done before crossplay numbers, since it's rough on most killers already when you can play literally a few great matches and a few so-so and a couple horrible ones and already be rank 16 or 15, and then just start seeing red and purple ranked often swf trolling the hell out of ya in 1 out of 3 to 1 out 4 games... while you're only rank 15 and just play it for dailies, rift challenges or occasional bp you wind up getting faster as wglf survivor often. The mori helps with that a bit. Or at least it helps just to blow off some steam, and if it's no longer an option or has conditions you can't fulfill realistically against those toxic groups, ... people aren't gonna wanna play killer any more unless they feed off of the stress of it and are just as toxic themselves about how they play. Once players leave games these days, just like I used to say on the other game's forums... they usually don't return since there's too many other things to play these days. Over amonth later and two attempts at a partial 180 and still nobody came back to that other game, even some of the most addicted finally began leaving it for good once they accepted there just weren't enough people playing and playing in non angry/toxic ways to be worth it to them any more. That can happen to any game, especially after a long history of one side feeling shafted at points and ignored, once one patch pushes things too far for them. I've seen it happen before, warned of it before it happened, seen it happen before that and know it can happen again to any other game no matter how many people are playing it.

I've been holding my own just fine against players of my skill level (not rank) but getting used to the advanced survivor tactics is taking time.
Played against this SWF group last night and they tried to grief me with their flashlights so hard. It turned into total chaos and I actually ended up having quite a bit of fun working on my flashlight evasion skills and catching them off guard. I'd like to think they got more than they bargained for. Most of all fun = win, no matter if the survivors escape or not.

I don't feel obliged to see the survivors off at the gates just because they're waiting there. Let them wait, the timer is running anyway. What I am currently getting annoyed by is when I get 2 survivors at the end who are good at chases and/or hiding but apparently repairing generators is below them. They refuse to even touch the remaining gens (I have Surveillance) and the match drags on for ages. I'd rather be genrushed and move on with my life.
idk, the long queue time just to wind up with less points that I'd get as survivor especially with wglf is just a discouragement for me lol. now that event is over, the times I dos till play, it's only survivor lol. but for now I'm on death stranding on steam, and on ghosts on my pro this weekend. prolly won't be back often till double BP.

gameusersettings in appdata, only change the top settings that relate to the preset like post processing (get TONS of frames back) and AA that way you can get frames from post processing being low, remove the blur from the crummy AA, and not have the rest of the game look like [BAD WORD] with lego shadows, blurry undetailed textures or sparkly/aliasy effects like the glows

SWF is not fair. In NA about 30% of the games I played against during the event were a 3 or 4 man. Playing with my friends feels like easy mode. And playing against an organized group feels unwinnable every time. I don't have fun in a match that lasts 8 minutes without ever being able to put any effective pressure on Generators, and i truly believe that most players who have play extensively at a high rank killer status would agree with me. A good solution I think is to boost blood points gained for every person in a SWF, and possibly make SWF have a much different effect on a players rank (survivor and killer). But overall the game really should acknowledge in some way that when you play against SWF you truly are playing the game on ultra hard mode.
allowing them tor ank up faster is probably a good thing if you want non sweaty killers to continue playing. you get enough red and purple ranks as it is even by 15 on killer for some reason or another. It would be worse if those same dudes came along more often due to ranking up more slowly. It would possibly run alot of low to mid rank kilelrs off the game or onto survivor only. I already let my dailies stack because of it, not worth killer for me after the event is gone and it seemed like most people stopped using cakes. might as well wglf and survivor again.

He's not really OP, but it can be a pain in the ass, if you stare directly at him and still don't reveal him for some unknown reason.
I had that happen to me last night or the night before lol. dude was almost in lunge distance, center of my screen, just stared at me just staring at him and probably lol'd on his end. Needless to say I got one shot after that lol.

you can't have a 2v8 match. It will never happen, killers would just hard camp and hard tunnel. Loops would became impossible, since 1 killer can bodyblock pallets while the other chases. When someone is hooked they can just camp him to death, since if someone tries to get the trade he gets immediately downed with 2 consecutive hits, if someone saves with bt same thing, and same thing goes for ds.
it is impossible for a mode like this to work.
can simply not acknowledge another hit until after the animation and hit phase from the first one

Last night I played a match against a very toxic huntress. She brought in an Iridescent Axe Heads which down you in one hit. Two survivors disconnected immediately. She hooked and killed the third, and with me just left standing, I tried to make it to the hatch, but she downed me. She then proceeded to pick me up, broght me to the hatch, dropped me by the hatch, and then immediately closed it. She then let me crawl my way to the exit, she opened the door, only to pick me up and hook me. 😡
I swear the toxicity that resides with this game as unlike any other game I've ever played before.
I wouldn't have fallen for it after the hatch lol, I'd have been afk after that

4 vs 1 means longer wait times for the side that's 1 if the players are split 50/50.. it's basic maths, really. But I guess during the slower times, there's more people playing killer since all their survivor friends are at work/school so it makes the wait times even worse.
I had 10 minutes wait times earlier today.. and tonight, I had nearly instant killer lobbies. Survivor is always fairly fast.
at night is often when the sweaty groups come out in these sort of games, at least where I live in usa. possibly why some people don't wanna play killer at those times, on top of some having their own groups online and playing witht hem at those times rather than killer. I avoid killer at night myself after figuring out it's thatw ay with this game too. I have most decent killer matches when I be on it during a weekday,a nd I avoid it altogether on weekends and try to reroll killer dailies and hope for survivor dailies on weekends.

ha ha ha if you're facing a sweaty swf and don't wanna go for the bait or need to get object out to find the other guys it is honestly annoying. I went back to survivor once I started coming across too many of those kind of teams lol. As a solo survivor , I do like using DS myself sometimes. It's not often I need it, but those times I wind up being the first hook and they try to tunnel me or the other guys don't try to save safely (maybe farming bp idk but at least BT & don't do it right in front of the killer unless I'm gonna die or go next stage anyways pls like I do when farming hooks) then DS has come in very handy. I don't abuse it myself, like being toxic and trying to be caught. But if I know it'll result in being caught again anyways and it's ticking down, then if I think they'll not slug me i willt ry to use it then defensively before it burns out. But not to troll people. I think it's probably fine as is for most players, and harming it would harm it for solo players and casual swf. Maybe 50 seconds top cooldown might be fine for a change to it, but any less ont op tier for the perk and it'll make it practically useless in my opinion. Except for those hook farmers who pull you down right int he killer's face with no BT lul. protection hits also stack wglf guys.

as much as killers deal with a lot of unfair things like object swf, or voice comms with comeptetent groups in general... billy zooming around the map non stop while being able to one hit down constantly on top of that was something that should have been touched a long time ago. It was one of the bs things survivors had to deal with in some maps. I've met billies who didn't need to abuse the chainsaw to 4k, and they won't be affected much if at all really. The changes overdid it, and the devs acknlowedged that and tuned it up to not hit so hard to try to balance it out a bit better. You also won't get interrupted mid sprint, so will be able to finish going where ever you are going with it and finish the journey before cd. It just means you'll have to be more skilled and discerning is all. Not the god of the cornfield or something. Having to be lucky with map rng to deal with it isn't fun.
The skill bar was really super low on hillbilly, I came back after years, tried out pyramidhead and other killers, got on hillbilly for a chase daily/rift combo and literally chased a guy for minutes and still wound being so present everywhere I 3k and had to let the last guy wiggle out and open the gate after closing the hatch for points because it felt so one sided. That's as an inexperienced killer. He was way too easy to use. I even took my time with them to try to not make it as unfun for them, since you could just be everywhere.

you know wglf works off of protection hits too? If you have bt and are willing to trade a hook possibly (probaby you should assume) you can get two stacks pulling a guy off, unless you're against leatherface or somebody equally stupid to do it near, then soak up the protection hit so their bt ensures they escape and you just got two stacks to top yourself off after a totem or two at least and a gen or two along with a chase. more than enough points by that point. if you know totems are done or they've hit somebody and there is no noed, you can also take a protection hit for the guy on the gate or to cover an injured guy inside the gate if you're full health to top off a remaining stack. you're probably not playing "right" as some would put it if you have trouble getting at least 2 stacks easily enough even during a game without many hooks.
If the bp gains become too close, as annoying as it is to deal with killer and considering we're dopamine driven... plenty of people playing killer for that incentive would stop since it isn't worth the literal countless days straight worth of hours you need to endure to start getting a bit better at it and getting used to cheese like object swf. Your queue times would skyrocket once they could justget as many points for playing the role that's more fun for many of them, and more dopamine chasing, which would be survivor. I guarantee you I would be sitting on 3 dailies forever until eventually rolled survivor were that the case. And no matter how many or few others feel the same about killer right now, I guarantee there are others whow ould never touch killers again as well without the potential bp gains over playing survivor if they mostly just have fun potential as survivor and get trolled or frustrated on killer. And no amount of guilting/shaming/insulting them is gonna make most of them play killer since over the internet nobody cares about a bunch of strangers' opinions lol. Hence ignoring the "survivor rulebook" in favor of the "survivor cookbook" for more bp or satisfying kills whichever they seek more out of a match.
not everybody cares about pips over bloodpoints or chasing the dopamine, btw, unless those pips give them more satisfaction. a lot of people just play killer for the extra bloodpoints. Those and the fact that dailies 99% of the time seem to be or roll into killer rituals, probably to keep the killer pop from dying out too much. as a killer depipping isn't necessarily a bad thing. Especially if you mainly bear it for dailies or to top off rift levels, or occasionally for some faster bp. who the hell would wanna face super loopy/sneaky swf even more oftent han the bad matchmaking already puts them through, unless they main killer and are super sweaty themselves and experienced with it. Then top it off with no bloodpoints incentive. Only those that truly enjoy the sweat would still do it. And from what I hear, possibly part of the reason matchmaking is so screwed up is because once killers hit purple or red rank they stop playing killer until reset. It would get even worse if you took away the BP incentive.
TL2R: You can't have matches without killers, most killers probably aren't super sweaty experienced tryhards that enjoy going against the sweaty swf so you need to give incentive to killers especially if you want to add new killer players to the game and not experience gradual decline in the amount of killers over time while survivor pops may rise at points. Leave killers their incentive, if survivor bp goes up to much (and some of it is on how you play and what you do as survivor in match and not on the game) killer bpw ould also need to rise as incentive. And protection hits also stack wglf, but do them wisely since health is a resource and if unsure about noed don't blame the game or killer for being impulsive seeking stacks.

Please delete this ghastly perk. Dog ######### killers do terrible the entire game until the exit gates are powered and get at least one confirmed kill. With every hex you can tell what perk it is throughout the game, but with No One Escapes Death you don’t know the killer has it until they down someone. This extremely unfair to the survivors whom do not look for hex’s the entire game and just run around like a chicken with its head cut off. It is a complete guessing game. This particular hex spawns in such bad places that you typically do not find them until you’re in a chase of life and death. There are games where the hex will spawn in the corner of the map. Any good survivors will not sit/run to the corners of the map. The fact you are able to one shot when you’re about to lose is absurd. It’s not a hard earned win in the slightest. Giving a killer that performs horribly a chance to 4K is simply not fair. It’s potentially giving the killer with 0 devout a chance to get a gold emblem at max. The game hands the killer points for doing bad basically. Completely broken. Another concern is match making. I, a red rank, can get green ranks and even yellow ranks in my game. These people do not know the game enough to perform on a red/purple rank’s level. I have had multiple games where there is a rank 1 killer, red rank survivor, green survivor, purple survivor, and yellow survivor. Naturally they got destroyed and I ran a key so I was able to open hatch. The point is the skill rating range was terrible. This was also a game when I solo queued. Back to
NO-ED, once it’s activated It gives the killer to hit one person, hook, and then camp the body, this prevents the survivors from getting save points. A solution to this would be making this an offering. This would prevent terrible killers from abusing this perk. This could still remain a perk only if there’s a duration on how long everyone can suffer from the exposed status effect, it should be 50-60 seconds maximum. Please share your thoughts on this topic. This is similar to how killers complained about sprint burst, balanced landing, and lithe, these resulted in changes.the reason it often spawns in those spots, is because those are the spots you fail to cleanse during the match and it punishes cockiness and carelessness at endgame assuming since the gates are powered, the killer seems far enough away as they're about to open and that you're full health that you're gauranteed an escape.

Come to think, NOS4A2's Christmas Land could make a really cool map and Bing with the gas an interesting new killer.

106 is possibly too close to the plague mechanically depending on what they do with it, 049 would be a nice fit for the game but the doc we already have has an outfit's headpiece that already fits aesthetically... but wait now... 096 is a perfect fit for this game. Just make him runt hrough pallets during a chase and not everything lol. But would need extensive testing, to make him fit behaviorally, while still being fun and fair to play as and against.

once you're no longer getting any extra points, go ahead and tunnel or camp the guy you think did it or that tbags the most.

omg it's so tough to pick between killer klowns, phantasm, pinhead and my blood valentine (love both the original and remake of that). I gotta go with pinhead though, since cenobyte could have an amazing mori or even mori ability... even involving the hooks themselves were it an ability for the character. Like a better third hook animation for the death. ripping the mofos apart with like extra hooks spawning, pinning themselves into em... and one by one peeling em apart. screaming like a beautiful symphony of agony. While I'm at it, wouldn't mind the Djinn from Wishmaster either. The guy who played the Djinn is great in horror and offbeat sci-fi. He was also great playing the Djinn in a human form in the second Wishmaster movie. Now there would be an interesting character, but you know what they say, be careful what you wish for eh?

I've been thinking about trying pop and overcharge, since I have pop in purple though overcharge only in green on the doc ironically but just seeing what happens with it. I don't like ruin because it's easy to know if you suspect it by just stopping the gen for a sec standing against it and seeing if it immediately regresses. At that point, if killers can't be always on those gens, all they gotta do is 2 or 3 man them while they're chasing somebody or two man while a guy who knows the totem spots finds it and cleanses it. And then it wasted aperk slot. Pop is kinda tough to use often against some groups, but I still prefer it after trying both out. Overcharge+pop would possibly be a nice combo, at least on somebody like doc who already can make em scream and doesn't need to rely on perks as much as others to find people. Especially if you have distressing since he gets a massive blast radius and can build madness quickly between that and shock therapy. Then they're always screaming, slap on sloppy butcher and it takes along time to snap out of it heh ... that also keeps them off gens pretty well sometimes.
