To add to this I think Ultra Rare addons should kinda debuff and make the killer more challenging to use with those addons
So spend 7k BP to nerf yourself? We already have common add-ons for that and we don’t need Ultra Rares becoming that bad. Nobody would use them.
-
I think people want to have Pop as a backup in case Ruin is destroyed. You can't kick gens while Ruin is active because they are constantly regressing.
-
Ghostface because of his inconsistent reveal.
Hag because her counterplay’s not very fun and how much camping potential she has.
Trapper because I’m terrified I’ll run to a trapped loop. It can be scary to suddenly hear the sound of that trap snapping shut in the middle of a chase.
-
All of these are great ideas and make the add-ons worth their rarity. If you haven’t, you should do Demogorgon next. I’d love to see your ideas for it.
-
Doctor is my favorite Killer but I also play Freddy, Demogorgon, Plague, Wraith, and Pyramid Head. I love shocking everyone and stopping loops quickly.
Laurie is my main Survivor because of the franchise she comes from.

Yes I read it, it's the same perk except it heals quicker and removes debuffs. Vigil does that too. I know you think you're buffing this perk, but you're giving a terrible perk a hit with a wrench and saying it's fixed.
Your change is to heal faster but only when a survivor is downed. God that's so situational any other healing perk would be better used.
Slugging happens a lot more these days. Healing a downed Survivor faster will come in handy more than you think.

"I think a better idea for Buckle Up would be to let you heal downed Survivors quicker"
Oh so you mean like Botany, Leader, Autodidact, Tenacity, Unbreakable, We'll Make It, Resilience, and Desperate Measures?
Yeah, no. There's already plenty of better options if you want a perk that heals faster. Even Medkits are a solid option. You wouldn't be making Buckle Up a good or decent perk with that change, it'd be more of the same and a mediocre one at best.
Did you even read the rest of it? It’s not the only effect and there’s no condition like We’ll Make It. I didn’t even list any numbers. Seems like you just read to that point and got upset.
-
Not yet. I keep procrastinating on getting a group for “Where Did They Go?” and the Nurse blink trophies. I’m also too addicted to spending BP on my main Killers to get someone (likely Myers) to P3 50.
-
While the Endurance effect sounds cool, it’d be too powerful when combined with the DS+Unbreakable combo. It’s just Soul Guard except for when you get healed by someone else. You’d have a near invincible Survivor. I think a better idea for Buckle Up would be to let you heal downed Survivors quicker, see their recovery progress, and remove their status effects (except for effects like Torment and Madness).
-
I camp when it's advantageous to me, like if I know the Survivors are there, I have multiple Survivors hooked close to each other, or if my hook is in the middle of my 3 gen. I'll also camp after the gates are powered because there's nothing else to do at that point. The gates open too fast and can't be regressed. It's quite funny when you get salt messages from entitled Survivors that expect me to follow the rulebook. I'm not leaving this hook when you keep swarming it while injured. I'm not giving you any extra chances to win lol. You guys are making mistakes and it's your fault.
I won't just stand there in front the Survivor, that's boring. I'll be moving around the hook and checking any possible hiding spots nearby.

Try to set your sensitivity on 100.Anything below that would make the turning pretty hard.
My sensitivity has always been maxed out and his turning was still almost nonexistent. I think the devs need to take a look at him on consoles, unless they’re fine with another Killer that’s great on PC but a nightmare on consoles.
-
It needs to lose the cooldown and basic attack requirement. These two things are holding the perk back so much.
-
Yeah I think Blight struggles a lot on console. He seems to have more issues than the rest of the Killer cast. Turning was so hard for me on PS4 but when I was watching Tru3, he was turning almost like a normal Killer.
-
Yes, really.

But that doesn't explain how 5 fixed gens fix the last 2 broken gens by themselves. It would make sense if 5 gens powered the gate and didn't fix the last two gens, but as it is now the 5 gens magically fix the last to gens somehow.
Yes, it actually does. Do you know anything about the Entity at all? It does things because it wants to. It is a supernatural spider god that takes things from different points in time and puts them in its own crazy world. It doesn’t care if things make sense or not. If the Entity wanted everyone to come out with eight heads, no arms, and one small leg, it would do so.
-
The Entity probably just disables the exit gate switches until all five gens are done.
-
I just remembered something during my Blight game on Shelter Woods. I broke a pallet with that Ultra Rare add-on (think it's called Compound 33) and I teleported through it the moment the pallet fell apart. Not sure if the servers were messing up or the frames were so bad that it looked like I teleported instead of just walking on my end, but it confused the hell out of me when it happened.

So, the Q&A was yesterday. What did you guys/gals think about the answer we got?
@Nobsyde @bm33 @Ryuzaki @JPLongstreet @Pulsar
I got the feeling that they are just hoping the issues to fix themselves as they upgrade the graphics. But we didn't get any answer to the problems with killer powers (doc, demo), status effects or the quite new maps with most problems (lery's, hawkings). All in all they answered very shortly to the question and didn't go into much detail.
How has the FPS been for you after the patch?
I have only played survivor but there's been the same problems with stutters and fps drops.
Edit. Also interested to hear what @SnakeSound222 @The__High_Ground @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky think.
That’s the answer I was fearing. BHVR’s just hoping that it’ll fix itself. I wonder what’s going to happen once the PS5 and XSX come out. Will they be able to brute force through these optimization issues or will it be current gen all over again?
Also where the hell did they get that console players weren’t having problems? Did they just ignore the forums?
I’ve played four games so far with the new update. I only got the updated maps once.
- Doctor on Torment Creek. Surprisingly not that bad. Frames were ok. I just had the action button bug occur towards the end. Going to play him some more today to make sure it wasn’t just a lucky game.
- Blight on Groaning Storehouse. Yeah... this was terrible. Constant FPS drops when attacking and using my power. Made him so unfun to play.
- Blight in Shelter Woods. Same as game number 2. It was hell to play.
- Laurie on Badham III. No FPS problems. I’ve never really had any major FPS problems with Survivors.
-
Guess I better play PH as much as possible now, just in case his update ruins him.
Glad to see some more love for Clown and nerfs for Keys and Moris on the way.
Hopefully the Tuesday patch also fixes the Killer action button bug and Blight’s POV.
I take it the devs didn’t address how the Hatch offerings promote tactical disconnects? You bring the offering, your buddy then goes to the shack or main building, and then you DC. Solos can just see if the other Survivor is near the building/shack and just DC. It’s quite disappointing how the devs don’t seem to even acknowledge DCing to give Hatch. These offerings are just going to make it worse.
-
Going to need some more context here. Gates could have been powered, he could have had a bad day, he could have been an #########, you guys could have been #########. There's more than one reason for camping like that.
Also, this situation really isn't that deep. It's just a Killer facecamping you.
-
Strong, but hard to learn. He's an absolute nightmare to learn on console. Too many frame drops.

Yes, Pallets. No contest. :)
Am I crazy or could this be a hint at a future Dream Pallet buff that makes them stronger than Snares? Pallets are fun as hell to use.
-
I think he's strong but an absolute nightmare to learn, especially against high rank Survivors. On console he feels like a mix of Nurse and Oni. He also seems to have more optimization problems than most of the other Killers. I'm not playing him again until at least rank reset.
-
I saw a Laurie suddenly start walking and crouching when I was chasing her last night. She didn't have an Exhaustion perk and it seemed random. Is that it? If not can you post a video of this bug? I'm on PS4 BTW.
-
Yeah many people have been reporting it. For hooking Survivors, dropping them and picking them back up will fix it (however this means that bodyblockers and bad hook RNG can really hurt you). I've heard attacking or repositioning yourself can fix it, but not always.
-
Absolutely terrible. Blight does not go well with console (at least PS4) at all. His POV is crap, swinging and using my power drops frames, Dragon's Grip is bugged (no screaming) and his lunge sometimes decides to not hit. Controlling his power also feels terrible but that might change as I play him more. For now, I'm not touching him until at least rank reset. Getting four Iris at red ranks with this Killer in the state he's in is a nightmare.
-
Frame rate still sucks (at least on PS4), is even worse when attacking as Blight or using his power.
The action button bug seems to be more common on Blight.
Autoaim or "aim dressing", whatever you want to call it, is worse on Blight.
Escaping through the gate sounds like someone clicking the flashlight.
Blight's lunge while using his power can just go through the Survivor.
-
360s are pretty much impossible to counter if your FPS didn't get fixed. You can try, but it's all up to the game wanting to work properly.
-
It's worse on him. I barely felt like I had control over swings. Add the FPS tanking whenever I tried to swing with him and his bad POV for a really bad time.
The whole "aim dressing" thing needs to be looked at some more. It's bad on all Killers, but even worse on Blight.
-
It’s one of the best we’ve gotten.

Yes, and when I do, then I pick Tome 1, the Collection that displays is only for Tome 4 (the current Tome, not Tome 1, the one I picked)
I think it’s bugged. Just tried it myself with all three past Tomes and I only got the Collection for Tome 4.
-
I think dropping them and picking them back up fixes it, at least until BHVR gets to it.
-
Surveillance was murdered. Why? Nobody knows. Now it pretty much needs another perk to help it out.
Console optimization seems to have gotten worse with this update (which brought in a couple of really bad bugs for some reason).
That DS stun timer change that was planned after the Enduring change but it never happened? Looks like the game did that on its own.
-
Now that the new patch is out, I’d like Surveillance back. There was no good reason for its nerf.
-
If I recall correctly, DS was always supposed to be like this. The devs changed Enduring to not affect perk stuns and then were supposed to nerf DS back to a 3 second stun. Don’t think of it as a bug, think of it as the game actually trying to help the devs.
-
Who cares? It's not affecting balance or causing the game to freeze.
-
Try looking up the full name in the PS Store. That’s how I found it in NA, it might be the same for Germany.
-
Has anyone saying PS4 FPS was fixed played graphic-heavy Killers like Doctor?
-
@venomz12 said:
Well I've got a decent computer which can handle most games at high FPS but with this new update on this game, every time a gen is done..I get significant FPS drop.
Your FPS drops every time a gen is done? Lol wasn't that supposed to be the exact thing they fixed with this patch?
-
I'm hearing Otz's FPS went from 120 to 80. Either BHVR's not testing these patches out enough or they're letting them get released and will just try to fix the problems later. Honestly this patch might be it for me as a console player. If you PC players are getting this hard, imagine consoles right now. My laptop will likely be unable to handle this game at all, even on low settings.
-
I've been dodging keys for months now. The devs probably thought the Hatch offerings sounded cool, but didn't test them enough to see that they were a bad idea. I'm expecting an increase in tactical disconnects.

Have you typed in the full name on your PS4 store (Dead by Daylight: Descend Beyond)? If it works, then you can get it. If it doesn't, then I guess just wait for Sony. Not much I can do at that point.

Survivor bias? I dont even think the most biased survivors were complaining about it. It was so rare and always welcomed to see over other perks like NOED.
@xenotimebong said:

This isn’t survivor bias. I’ve never seen a single survivor complain about Surveillance in the two years I’ve been playing. I’m not sure why they went ahead with this change but it definitely wasn’t to please survivor players.
I haven't seen any complaints either but it wouldn't surprise me to find some buried deep in a social media post or in emails to BHVR.
Back when Ruin was changed, I remember a dev saying that the Ruin + Surveillance combo making the gens constantly regress and show up as white was fine. Maybe they wanted Surveillance to only do that when combined with Ruin? It'd make Surveillance pretty reliant on another perk (and a Hex one at that) to have an impact on a match though.
-
Exactly! There is no real reason for this aside from Survivor bias.
The perk didn't break anything or create new situations where it was OP. It could stand on its own before. Now it needs another perk to help it out.
-
From what I'm reading, it is. Apparently Otz's frames went from 120 to 80. This update looks like it really screwed over consoles (and frames in general).
-
@VESSEL said:
I'm worried I'm eating my words. Blight appears unchanged despite McLeans words. On top of that, from looking on Otz's stream, the new graphical updates have made him drop from 120fps to 80. That is incredibly concerning.
[Edit: Not saying 60fps isn't unplayable for 90% of people. But if someone could play Yamaoka with 60fps originally, then they'll be seeing near 30fps]
Oh crap, that sounds terrible. This might tear consoles apart then. 10-15 FPS could become the new normal on all maps, not just a select few or while playing a certain Killer.
-
@Earthragon said:
just upgrade to a pc, it'll be worth it in the long run. Y'all talking about frame drops on consoles when clearly they are inferior to PC
Sure, let me gather $1000+ to build a gaming PC to actually run this game without the problems that consoles have plus all of my DLCs and cosmetics again while we're in the middle of a pandemic.

Descend Beyond is a new Chapter for Dead by Daylight. It includes a Killer, The Blight, and a Survivor, Felix Richter. Purchasing the add-on will unlock its new Killer, new Survivor, and an exclusive item for the survivor: Felix's The World Class jacket.
The Blight, a bright and ambitiousI searched "Dead by Daylight: Descend Beyond" and look what popped up. This is the NA store, so it might be different for other regions.
