You have to be looking away before you pick them up, you cannot rotate once locked in the animation
That doesn’t always work, you can get blinded from the side and even from behind. It seems like if even the smallest strand of light is touching your face, then it acts like all of them are.
-
I have never a been “nice” Killer. If you are in my game, you are going on that hook and visiting our amazing spider god in the sky. I have never given an escape and never will.
-
Easily my boy Doc’s. Gets me pumped up. I also love how the Survivor version has a siren in it.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if the HVS server turns out to be a complete shitshow where Killers lose out on more legitimate hits. The window momentum change already does this sometimes.
-
Crossplay makes more money than putting colorblind options. I'm beginning to wonder if the devs are just not caring about disability options because they won't make as much money, meaning that we'll get all of the big things like crossplay, next-gen support, cross-progression, VR/AR support, etc before disability options. We might even get the fabled console optimization before something to help with disabilities.
-
The devs are scared of it breaking the stronger Killers (even though it wouldn’t). I wonder if they saw what removing the basic attack requirement from Infectious Fright did (this perk went from ok to great and even becoming meta for some Killers) and it scared them because for some reason they’re terrified of making new meta or just good Killer perks.
-
I just play Doctor and shock them. Madness 3 disables the use of items, including flashlights.

One thing they know is how to save me bloodpoints on new killers. Because I see no need for me to level them to unlock those perks and have them clutter bloodwebs elsewhere. I will personally never, ever use such perks.
Which means that probably also saves me DLC cost or Shards, depending on licensed or not.
I only get the new chapters for the adepts. Eventually I get them to 40 and unlock their teachables so I can get a good build on them if I ever decide to use them (plus not getting teachables takes up three perk slots, leaving me with 0-1 for any other perks).
-
The cages having skill checks are likely a test to see if they’d work for a button mash replacement.

It shouldn't be removed, its cool
So do you not care about disabilities or people just getting tired? Before you say “b-but macros!”, not everyone plays this game on PC. There’s a good amount of console players.
-
It’s much easier to balance with them. The current devs don’t seem to understand the game that well. There’s only so many perks you can create before you start copying older ones.
-
Interesting arguments.
-
Don't stop when he shocks you. If he's close, then drop the pallet. If he's not, then keep running. He goes really slow while using it (I think it's like 86% speed, much slower than a Survivor). If you're complaining about not being able to use Dead Hard (which I don't think the shock is supposed to stop, so you might just be getting screwed over by dedicated servers), then you just need to get good. You're relying on a perk to win instead of your own skill.
-
It used to work that way until 2.6.0 but then the devs changed it around 2.6.0 to require a double pip. It was a 4k even if you didn't get a double pip with the Emblem system (meaning there was a time where you could get an Adept with a ruthless). The devs don't seem to understand the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" (the Surveillance "bug fix" in the latest patch continues to prove that they don't).
-
I tried a couple Killer games with crossplay when it first came out and they were not fun at all. Pitting a Killer who gets 30 FPS at the most versus Survivors who can easily get 60+ is BS. Turned it off and haven't looked back.
-
Something definitely felt weird to me while completing challenges, like I was gaining less Rift progress. Now I know why.
-
Hell yeah I would use it. Goodbye Discordance tiers 2 and 3.
-
Yeah this update scares me. Why are they updating the graphics when over half of their platforms are poorly optimized? Is BHVR just releasing these things and hoping everything will magically fix itself?
Also I really don’t want the “bug fix” for Surveillance to go through. There is no good reason for it. It’s not game-breaking.
It’s safe to say that I can live without this patch for a while.
-
At least you guys have more than one (I think one of them is even appears early on the free track). Doctor has only one charm that appears somewhat late into the paid track. That’s it. Every other character I’ve seen has gotten at least two charms. Not Doc though.
BHVR definitely screwed over certain characters for some reason in the charm department. Hopefully they’ll revisit them in a future Rift.
-
How do they know the Killer’s on console and not using the Windows Store for PC?
-
75% chance this is bait.
25% chance you didn’t read the entire thing.
-
Wow, the one time all three Killer perks don’t look like complete garbage on launch in a while and Survivors start screaming OP. These perks can be countered. Hell, you have a HEX perk with a COOLDOWN.
-
Doctor. He kills for science. He’ll torture you for as long as possible. If you die, then he’ll just bring you back and continue his experiments until your body is useless to him.
-
I only prestige characters who I’m going to use the bloody clothes on. Everyone else stays at 50. Why lose your inventory three times (especially if you’ve got a lot of perks, add-ons, and offerings) when you won’t even use the reward? So you can have a little logo by your character’s name and level? It’s a waste of time to me.

I have never told, that BBQ cant be counter. I just said that auras + 100% bloodpoins seems to much to me.
If I compare BBQ and WGLF, its much more better. If I compare BBQ with a lot of other killers perks, again...it is more powerfull. Every perks can be counter.
I would like to see some huge stats of all perks. Numbers, % of using all of them. Maybe we would be all suprised.
It's not too much lol. If you're really that upset over bloodpoints, then just buff WGLF so that both sides get a lot of points and have an extra effect.

But that isn't a buff!? Fixing a game breaking bug doesn't count as a survivor buff.
Think before you comment.
Not sure why you seem so upset over that lol.
If you really want something that lines up with what the OP is asking for, then you have Soul Guard and Desperate Measures, two recent perks that become insanely powerful in combos. Surveillance, Billy, and Freddy also got nerfed.
-
Got the PS4 version a couple months after release.
-
Wasn't the window hit change made this year?
-
Yeah, we don't need five variations of Badham. It's already too Survivor sided. Hopefully the upcoming patch fixes that.
-
I thought there was a way around this that involved hitting whatever your "pause" button is and running.
-
BBQ is not OP. It has like seven counters. You also have to go and get them. It's not like the perk brings the Survivors to you.
-
This is going to be another Soul Guard situation. Good enough on it’s own, OP as hell when combined with other perks/items/add-ons. People defend the perk due it being balanced on its own and ignore the combo part of it.
I know Soul Guard got nerfed, but it wasn’t enough. It didn’t fix the main problem when combined with a second chance build.
-
That’s the point of the perk. Also, it’s an item. Not that big of a deal, unless you brought your last event item. In that case it’s all on you. You decided to take that risk.
-
Hope the devs fixed the problem so they don’t need to be disabled again. We should be seeing a lot less DCs because someone got outplayed, a Survivor wants to give the Hatch, or a map offering didn’t work.
-
I just play through it. Sucks but what else can you do. If you really want to, then you could go AFK or let the Survivors finish the gens.
@Alice_pbg said:
wth is wrong with your console?
There's nothing wrong with the console. It's on BHVR here. If the console is the main problem, then why can they run pretty much everything else without these issues? Hell, Sony exclusives are often designed with the base PS4 in mind (even big new games like TLOU2).
-
Desperate Measures is everything Thanatophobia wants to be.
Like Soul Guard, I think this perk is going to be fine by itself but broken when combined with other similar perks. However, people are going to defend it just because it's fine by itself and completely ignore the fact that combining it with other perks will break it. Healing during the attack cooldown "tech" was really stupid and shouldn't return.
-
I hope the devs push the patch back until this is fixed, even if it messes with the chapter schedule. I don’t know what map this happens on or how to do it, but the fact that a safety bubble exists is too much.
-
Yeah, they nerfed Surveillance under the disguise of a “bug fix”.
-
Yeah, not sure why the devs couldn’t just make it a feature. Surveillance went from a good perk to an ok one that needs other perks to work properly. The gen staying white when it hit zero told us that the Survivors were being cowards and not trying to repair the gen. Now those Survivors can just sit there and hold the game hostage because you are forced to choose between protecting the gens or letting them go to hunt down the Survivors.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of Urban Immersion Survivors complained about it and are probably in heaven with this new patch.
-
Oh man, I really liked that! It was really fun to have all gens fully regressed and know exactly which one to go when the Survivors tried to restart them. I'll miss it (devs if you're seeing this please make this bug a feature, it's really cool).
-
OH GOD there's a visual effect when you enter Bloodlust.
WE'RE DOOMED!
-
The new graphics are going to tear consoles apart.
-
Do people in this thread not understand strings of bad luck? How is it your fault if it takes 12 hours to find people who want to work on gens or heal together? While that's unlikely, it's still possible.
-
I have been noticing PS4 Survivors being more aggressive on gens recently. The few times I played with crossplay on as Killer, the XB1/PC/Switch Survivors were nowhere near as aggressive as some of these PS4 Survivors.
-
Dead Dawg Saloon is now one of the maps that gives me hell. I got it as Freddy and I’m pretty sure I had 10-15 FPS for most of the match.
-
He moves at 115% in EW3, the same speed as most of the Killer cast. Just don’t get greedy at loops. Waste as much of his time as possible. If he really is going faster than normal or his EW3 is actually lasting longer than normal, then look at his perks and add-ons.
Based on your replies in this thread, it kinda seems like you’re just venting after a game against him. Maybe you just went up against a good Myers?
-
He's strong but not at the level of Nurse and Spirit.
-
I'm on PS4 and having it switched off didn't really affect queue times for me as Killer. It's always been a few seconds. Not sure about Survivor though.
-
They're probably used to the Killer having to struggle because of the low frame rate. However there is a challenge that involves getting 15 safe unhooks or protection hits, so they could be trying to do that. Some players will throw games to complete challenges.
-
I think it's the Alchemist from the Hallowed Blight events.
-
I had a really bad first impression as Killer last night. Both games had Survivors that knew about console limitations and tried to abuse them. Pretty sure the second game also had an SWF sweat squad. Going to play with it off for a few days before trying it again. Hopefully I just picked a bad time to try out crossplay.
I played without crossplay for a couple games last night and the queue times were slightly longer than when it was on, although I kept seeing the same group 2 or 3 times.
