bro you out here acting like boon totems aren't ######### wild lmaoo
Off topic much? Beside imho I'm for the current changes and think its far better now than was on PTB. Will they need some tuning? Likely. Do I think its gonna break the game/meta? No...

You don't break the old meta by bringing in equally or more busted perks. You gut the strong ones so people begin to use something else.
They have zero issues doing this for killer perks, but cower in a corner when survivor perks are mentioned and it is sad.
to be fair they have nerfed DS repeatedly and BT was recently changed to be fairer overall so you cant say they ignore survivor perks.
Also, even though undying was recently nerfed its still meta...

10 seconds 5 times per match IF you are in a chase during each time a gen is completed, and 10 seconds haste can be barely enough for 1 hit, won't be for 2 ever unless they make a bad movement, be biggest boost happens only 5 times max, the medium boost can barely happen 1-2-3 times per match, and healing happens often, so a 10 second haste that can be neglected by a really good window or god pallet isn't a big deal, to be able to hit survivors on strong safe loops you need 3 stack of pwyf and even then it can be difficult, you mostly will use this perk for when survivors will heal, giving you a short advantage, and again, this perk can technically never trigger.
It's like when they nerfed coup de grâce, you can only do 5 attacks with 100% increase range per match, was too strong for the devs apparentl when not a single person complained about it being too strong.
This perk can either have all the value possible or be totally useless, exactly like ruin, it either last for the whole match or 20 seconds, it is simply to possibly give the killer a short duration boost to re-apply pressure after losing it.
Why limit it to 10 seconds? Make the 5% stackable throughout and pair it with Fire Up?
And for what its worth - you havent limited it to 10 seconds. You have it on each hex totem cleansed or health state recovered...
I assume you want this for boon totems too? 1 sec cleanse for a 10 sec boost to your speed? Want it to give survivors the exposed status while we're at it? Or just teleport to the basement hooks?

Spine chill: makes you know ANY killer is coming from a distance of 36 meters
adrenaline: gives you a free health state at the end of the game
Lucky break: gives the killer 0 tracking of your location
Quick and quiet: allow you to vault a pallet/window/locker without making any noise possibly making the killer think you didn't vault while you did and so losing you.
Sprint burts: allow you to instantly gain distance from the killer without any cost.
Yea my idea would be too rewarding because it would give the killers a little boost for losing pressure/the game only during a chase.
10 seconds of haste is not a "little" boost... Your "idea" would be broken at that increase.
Spine Chill - does what moving your camera would do O_O
Adrenaline - rewards you for surviving until endgame with basically 3 perks (similar to noed)
Lucky Break - limited duration and you still make sound/can literally be seen so your "0 tracking" is just wrong...
Sprint burst - seems to waste more survivor time than anything as most survivors will walk around to save it rather than 99ing it...

a simple pallet can neglect this effect
I'm more thinking in open areas. If a survivor committed to a gen and you'd get a hit. The survivor gets the speed boost from the hit and you'd still close the distance for basically an insta down... Seems too rewarding with no risk/work on the killers side...

Survivors complain when their OP stuff gets nerfed, or when something new gets introduced and it's not OP for them.
After the MoM backlash itd be a lot safer for them to release it under performing and buff it later

Original. Changes and restrictions to licensed characters has always been discouraging to me. Recent Demo and Pinhead changes/revelations put the nail in that one

That the thing its not just you who can do that but your entire team and that what make boon perk really strong. The example you said that mean only one player need to go there if he want to reset and its safe because if you do that you know the killer wont pass there. Boon are going to be good in every map the one were the perk will be less effective are the map the killer already steuggle to keep up with the game like red forest.
Like i said in my post i think survivor forget those perk affect the entire team and not just themself
I still don't seen them beating, or coming close, to the current meta and strong med kits... Would love if they did but still can't see it happening...

They went from oppressively broken to just powerful. They are relatively severe nerfs, but, I mean, they were just that overtuned to begin with... So they kind of needed the sledgehammer treatment.
even based on how they were before I wouldn't have run them on survivor without specific map offerings. Having to run to a certain corner of the map to heal, etc seems like a huge waste of time to me
-
I thought 7 seconds was bad but 10 seconds of haste for a gen completion seems extreme...

It's definitely not internet issues - it's always when I either down, or more likely hook someone.
If your pizza arrives, why not just AFK? I've had this happen on killer before, and I've managed to come back and still do okay.
As killer I'd prefer you to afk.
As survivor I'd prefer you to dc. Otherwise I'm wasting time getting to the hook, unhooking and healing, possibly taking a hit, etc. for someone that's not even there...

What about Console players (likely the majority of the playerbase) being unable to do so?
can't you just turn up brightness on the telly? not the most knowledgeable about filters, etc but assumed it'd be similar?
-
The funniest dc I ever saw was when playing solo and after almost a minute an Elodie got hit by a legion in frenzy. The Elodie got the yellow bar and almost instantly dc'd. A few seconds later and most gens were done...

Can those that bought Pinhead get refunds? The PTB version and advertised version had voice lines. They then removed them? How is that what was purchased?

You probably saw the video but with some good stacking you could heal a survivor before the killer had the time to finish the wipe animation after a hit
the video? the one which required the killer to do literally nothing or just allow a lot of setup? that required specific maps? builds? and no gens getting done? that could be disabled by the killer just stomping the boon which takes 1 second? that video?
-
The stacking had to go.
But 24secs to boon a hex which can be snuffed out in 1 sec? Just do gens.

Still won't work. They already do that with camping and it doesn't stop some people from doing it. Honestly I don't think with the way the game is currently built that either of these can be stopped. Which again brings me back to the devs. They need to get off their asses and do something about it on their end. We as the players only have so much that we can on our end. But they literally make the game and they could put in an actual fix. But then that would require time and actual work to be put in. God forbid...
Camping is really only punished in scoring (which nobody really cared about even before mmr) and has no effect on bloodpoints.
Survivors have unsafe unhooks. Killers should get similar.
At the end of the day I dont think effecting the killers bloodpoints would do a whole lot. But maybe giving the tunnelled survivor a bloodpoint multiplier or a percentage of the killers bloodpoints might help them feel better about it?
As for my opinion on tunneling as a whole? It depends on the situation. At 5 gens? Absolute scummy. At 0-1 gens? What else are they gonna do?
-
I mean the balanced landing change has made it a whole lot fairer.
I am curious to see if boons break it all over again...
-
So free lethal pursuer, basically?
Can you just use that or whispers to find survivors?

Sick of going up against sweaty SWF's and playing with SWF's who only go out of the way to save their teammates. Literally got first downed and the other 3 in my team spent the whole time while I was dying on hook blinding and moonwalking around the Nemesis. Predictably they wondered why I was salty after match and told me "just don't get downed next time".
Can these people empathize with other human beings? Do they not consider at all they're playing with other real life people too?
no. this will never happen. it would destroy queue times for both sides and break the game.
sbmm *should* fix this issue though

To be fair I've never heard of a video game that bans people for using third party voice chat
Might as well ban people for having steam chat open too
-
or boost BP for solos?
-
I'd be okay if they give solo survivors a 100% BP boost for their troubles. Solo survivor can be the most horrendous thing in this game and can truly feel like its you vs the killer and other survivors
-
How are you only getting one kill though? You should be getting at least 2k? 1 person dead before/by last gen and then sweep with Noed.
-
I dont understand what youre trying to say? AS in you've found a counter to a perk you believe is "gen rush"? Or you've found a perk that you believe counters "gen rush"? Or youre looking for a perk to counter "gen rush"?
tl:dr apply pressure maybe?

I've been playing less but can't really say it's due to sbmm. Causation/Correlation? Who knows!

it’s fun when it’s a balanced match not a sweat squad ever game. Especially when I’m not playing a high tier killer like trapper.
but that's literally what sbmm is designed to fix. Each killer has its own sbmm

No, it would allow Survivors to control the flow of the game too much. One DS is enough.
Survivors need to learn to play, not rely on perks to solve their mistakes.
How is it solving their mistakes? Unless the killer is AFK or brand new there isnt really a way to not get a single down. Once the survivor is on a hook a lot of killers can make sure that survivor doesnt play the game again from that point if they want to. Hit them with DS? A camping nurse or blight can often close the gap before you can make it to a loop or pallet. I would have to assume that any resources in that area are going to be gone fast if not already gone before the down...

Imagine if there was a perk for killer like ds. When you hook a survivor a 60 second timer activates if a survivor completes a generator it goes back to 50% progress and this can happen 4 times. Survivors complain its not fun to be killed so quick then how is it fun to be on a large map and have 0 control over gens speed? Oh nobody cares killer players can go f themselves.
Isnt that a weaker Pop? Pop is 25% and you can get it off a survivor 3 times (total of 75%)...?

Gen rushing has become so bad and the only defense is tunneling. But if you use it once the surviovrs knows you have no protection and can just gen rushing you without consequence...
That... doesnt make sense? I know what you were going for but that doesnt really work?
"if you use it <tunneling> once the survivors know you have no protects."

Play killer and you'll feel like this post was a mistake
I do play killer. I play both sides. I havent played survivor in a while as i've been playing mostly killer...
I dont tunnel. And the deactivations on DS means someone literally cant do anything to progress the game and keep DS active. I dont think anyone should be okay with preventing someone from not playing the game - regardless of what side that person plays.

The perk says it only shows auras when killers use the "Break" action (IE pressing space in front of a gen/pallet)
Thats 100% what I thought. So it shouldnt show for chainsaws/blight rush, etc and if it does (for @IlliterateGenocide) its either a bug or another perk thats showing it.

actually they do, demo billy/bubba show up with alert when breaking with there power even blight. so i hope they fix it so nemmysus does 2. alert is on my standard build so i run it 9/10 games
I used to run alert all the time and it never showed this for me. Either it was a bug that got fixed or its a bug now that it shows...
-
To my knowledge, no killer using their power to break pallets gets shown. Billy/Bubba saws, Demo lunge, etc.
Alert only shows regular damaging of pallets and gens, etc
-
People will hate you for playing the game.
People will hate you for existing.
Play for fun. IF you can do that, and try not BM, then nothing should be off limits.

If I may ask this as well (don't mean to derail this thread, feel free to ignore this as soon as it's answered or even whether it gets answered at all): Directly under the rift reward is a separate little window that shows a certain amount of rift fragments. Is that the number of fragments you get upon completing that page of the rift or does it mean something else?
If its the blue bar under the rift rewards that goes 1-70, thats the tier level you need to be to unlock that specific reward.
If its the rift fragments under the charm for completing a level in the tome - thats an amount of rift fragments you get for completing that level. Some tome levels have multiple routes you can take and can finish in different areas but you can only get that reward once - even if you get to all ends of the same tome level.

Yes. You will get the Charms, the Lore and the BPs, but no Rift Fragments.
Perfect! Thanks for that! I can rest without the stress of FOMO for a bit! <3
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
No, you can do the Tomes whenever you want to do them. However, you have to complete a Level before you can reach the next Level, e.g. you have to reach the End of Tome Level 2 to play Tome Level 3.
So if I come back to the tome a year later I'd be able to unlock the 4 charms at the end of the tome levels?
-
I typically run endgame builds and do fairly well with them. Most of the time that I use them I get screamed at by the survivors and told I'm just bad for having to rely on endgame builds instead of early game builds... A lot of survivors will complain no matter what you do

I got same today. Solo Q. Played 3 matches: every single one camping and tunneling from the start. My Kindred was on almost all the time. Tried 4th one and DCed as soon as I saw that Bubba started proxy camping.
BHVR says CaMpInG iS jUsT a StRaTeGy. Okay, bye. I'll go play other games where it's not a valid strategy or when this crap matchmaking is disabled.
Yeah I cant play this game anymore in its current state. Even with DS it never activates because I dont make it off the hook.

Apparently MMR thinks I’m a survivor legend because I have gotten my ass kicked as survivor lately. Killer side I’m doing ok
Every game the killers have camped and tunneled. Literally every game. I'm not even exaggerating. I've never seen it this bad.
I would have thought that if I'm dying in every single game then I'd get an easier game every few matches at least.
My teammates are the worst. Crouching in corners. Hiding next to me behind a tree while I work on a gen (not even with SC or a medkit).
This is unplayable for me. Even if I loop for 5 mins only one gen pops and its a wipe regardless.
-
@Clevite said:
Yeah, you can't punish people for playing a game.
Entice them towards different tactics, maybe, but no punishment
Unsafe unhooks are kinda punishment. Cant we have the same for rehooks, etc?
-
They fixed it in the last patch. If the killers ping is bad they no longer get hits they shouldnt have. Its now based on who has the best connection to the server - which is how it should have always been.
-
Happened to me too. Seems to mainly happen around unhooking. At least for me anyway
-
Happened to me too as Feng. Touched "unhook" and got stuck. Then DC but it told me the killer DC'd. Could see their perks, got bloodpoints and rift progress, etc but got a 5min penalty
-
Amazing work as always!
@MandyTalk Can we get this pinned?
