Unpopular i know, but i miss Hawkins :-(
It was a very unique map, it pretty much kick started DbD's new art style and the amount of detail was amazing. Hawkins will forever be in our hearts <3

who cares about MMR...
Its literally an invisible number that barely means anything

Killer good :)
Survivor bad >:(

Look at this top of his head
-
I would nerf healing in general
Make it so every time you heal, the next heal will cost more charges. First heal 16 charges, then 18, 20, 22, etc.
This not only nerfs CoH but medkits as well.
-
I do it to mooncrawl 😎
-
This is the nicest threat I've ever read
Thank you for this, kind stranger.
-
Or just make healing cost more charges the more you get injured.
First injure takes 16 charges, then 18, 20, 22 and so on.
They could also just make it take more time and keep it 16 charges, like Mangled.

I always say gg no matter what.
So do I, how ever it has different meanings depending on the people I verse
Most of them it simply means 'good game'
For some, it means 'git gud'.

"Meaningful nerfs"
The Artist changes barely if at all affected her viability, her changes only affected her at lower level of play where people would continue to loop her even if she placed a crow
The Plague being slowed down even more when charging up her power and then not even reaching 115% anymore is an actual meaningful change, the visual of being fully infected as well used to be a lot more blinding for Survivors and reduced their vision quite heavily. And the only compensation buff she received was a 15 second increase to Corrupt Purge. Don't get me wrong, thats a pretty nice change but that movement speed nerf definitely removed some of her viability at loops.

I find this response hilarious because I genuinely can't remember the last time a survivor perk got nerfed from ptb before it went live
And I genuinely can't remember any killer that got any meaningful nerfs from PTB to live except for maybe Plague. Yet every time a new PTB for a chapter comes out its always a cryfest about how they don't want the new killer to be nerfed, same goes for perks and in this case its Dead Mans Switch.
You also have killer players crying about Survivor perks that get introduced that even have the slightest potential of being viable. May I remind you of Distortion, Head On, Inner Strength, Lucky Break, Exponential, Power Struggle, Built to Last, Counterforce and so much more that I can't remember them all off the top of my head? Survivor mains cry for nerfs as well don't get me wrong, but it just seems like a lot of people think this is just a one sided thing.

You're right, but Survivors have a history of screaming for nerfs before something is even tried on the PTB. 😁
If something MIGHT be strong; it must be nerfed now, before even ONE Killer has fun!

Well, allow me to list some of the victories we survivors have claimed:
Nerfed Pyramid Head several times in a row! A smashing win, even if we do still see him sometimes.
We got a killer-sided map turned into pallet heaven! Praise be to the Gideon's Meat & Pallet Plant.
Nerfed moris to the point of uselessness, effectively removing them.
Removed Iri Head + Infantry Belt Huntress from the game completely!
Nerfed Wraith to the point of being back to useless.
Nerfed Deathslinger to the point of being useless.
Nerfed Spirit...kinda? She's still OP but we got BHVR to remove the stand-still thing.
We're getting Redhead Clown nerfed in a big way! Let's just hope they learned their lesson with Huntress and make it so it doesn't work with Sticky Soda Bottle and Cheap Gin Bottle.
And, of course, we're sticking it to those facecamping Leatherface players by taking away their masks.
All of this wouldn't be possible without the wonderful collaboration and coordination of me and dozens of other survivor mains writing complaint threads on a daily basis. We've done a pretty good job so far, but we can go further and take away Lightborn and the BP bonus on BBQ!
Also, press F to pay respects to the killers' one victory over us, the removal of multi-person hatch escapes. Which we still won because it happened over a year after they lost moris lmao.
Edit: How could I have forgotten we got Freddy nerfed?! I see him so little now I forgot he was still in the game. Also, we got PGTW nerfed some! And, of course, the nerf to Ruin many years ago, but that's still common and I'm sure is on our target roadmap. And made Stridor useless!
We supposed to ignore the numerous Survivor nerfs as well? Or does that not fit your narritive so well?
-
what they could do as well is return the thing she used to do where she stops singing when she's in chase and a few other things, not only would this make her synergize more with Beast of Prey which is her own Teachable, but also with this add on, and just Undetectable in general.

Dead Mans Switch is gonna become meta no doubt about it, especially on killers like Pinhead or Artist who can easily force people off gens even from a distance

There's the DBDLeague Discord which shows the killer pool, the rules, the restrictions, etc.

What's banned in comp, out of curiosity?
Some killers have perks that are banned specifically for them, how ever there is a pool of perks that are just banned al together. To name a few:
Haunted Grounds, Deadlock, Blood Favor, Plaything.
And to name a few Survivor perks:
All Boons, Blast Mine, Self Care, MoM, Built to Last, Object, Prove Thyself, Flashbang
There is also a rule for Survivors that they can't stack perks, so if one person runs Sprint Burst no one else can, how ever there can be 2 BT's.
This is going off of DbD League rules, different organizers will have different rulesets

Every time someone tries to solve Bubba facecamping they somehow come up with a worse solution than the last
Oh dont worry, Ill blow your socks off with this one:
Any time Bubba hooks a Survivor, his chainsaw becomes Nuclear. Any time he even attempts to rev it it explodes and stuns him for 10 seconds, he then needs to go back home to get a new one.
-
Time for another perk to be banned in comp lmao

And Shelter Woods is the best Survivor map to date

They gave a reasoning back in the day, and if I remember correctly it was because its kind of a way around the license agreement. They probably wanted to make more maps for Springwood but couldn't. What they could do how ever, is make multiple variations of Badham.
Im pretty sure this was around the 3rd year anniversary stream, when they were showing off the Freddy Rework

By my calculations...
atleast in the billions.. since it's like between 50-60m to drop on One singular character and maybe lucky rng that you get alot more common than any other...
There are lots of people out there with all p3 50 all perk characters, and the person with the most amount of bloodpoints accumulated according to https://dbd.onteh.net.au is 1.7B.
I myself have about a quarter of the Survivors with all perks P3 50 and all my killers P3 50 with all perks and have accumulated 533M BP.
So yeah you aren't far off

Sort of like a mini PTB. Based on the way they described it, it's going to be a way to test new changes to mechanics- right now, it's a toggle for actions instead of having to hold down M1, and a change to how you fill the wiggle meter. Nothing technically new, just changes for accessibility.
Seems like the change the struggle phase got also would've been tested here too, if we had it when that was introduced.
The toggle interactions will actually just be a new accessibility option, there wont be any testing for it

I feel like corrupt on deathslinger does nothing for instance

Circle of healing is a strong pick but for me personally I agree with Scott circle of healing help your team but it doesn't help you not wind up on the hook which is really what the game is all about as survivor not getting hooked
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2726271#Comment_2726271
I like rancor just don't feel like it's that strong personally
It does lots, Survivors not being able to hop on gens as soon as they spawn in is huge. You also get use out of it if Survivors spawn in together or all spread out since a large majority of the time they spawn at those farthest gens. And even if they don't you only have to patrol 4 gens instead of 7.
Its an amazing perk with literally no downsides.
-
Corrupt Intervention
Free set up time and gen delay while also giving you information, in lucky scenarios you might even have a 3 gen blocked

I can promise you it's still a thing on both bugged out consoles and certain PC rigs
Could of sworn they fixed that like 2 years ago, they probably just messed it up again.
-
The Red Stain is an essential tool that can be manipulated to your advantage, remove it and many mindgames come with it
-
@BenihimeWrath said:
My main problem with the red stain is that on PC on low settings it comes through the walls very clearly either because those walls already have small holes, just because its literally visually glitching through the wall.
I think it provides a console based advantage if I'm to be honest. (Not that we didn't already know playing on PC was an advantage)
This used to be a thing, it isn't anymore

That's not a solution. That's a band aid for a much bigger problem.
That is a solution and always was for games, toxicity is not exclusive to DbD. In fact its quite tame compared to other games out there.
If they make toxicity a bannable offense, the devs start getting flooded with reports just because some one said "gg ez", clicked their flashlight, hit a survivor on hook, or just played in a way some one didn't approve of.
Its a ######### reality but it is what it is, if you dont like it there is nothing stopping you from turning off that chat and completely forgetting about it.

If you even have a tiny bit of medkit remaining, the entire heal while in CoH range will retain the full medkit bonus.
Thats not being used in the video, he used a syringe.

@StarLost said:

Yup. With CoH and the right perks/medkits, you can get a heal around that time. Plus there is an exploit involved which makes it even worse.
I've had people heal up in the space of a pallet stun.
what exploit is involved with this?

okay, i see, that doesn't sound bad then. actually feels a little more streamlined.
although i like current trickster, i think your main event idea is a very creative callback to the theories about time reversal back when his teaser came out. I'm all over time travel stuff so naturally, I'm going to be into it. i also respect reworks and power/perk concepts that are not based around extremely generic ideas that everybody parrots. i appreciate the thought and creativity, it sounds like it came from a dev.
however, I'm confused by your idea for the Flurry. what's the usage of this ability that you're seeing?
The idea about the Flurry is to still keep his identity that he has now, some people (including myself) like how current Trickster feels, not only is it more consistent with the removal of recoil but it makes it more skill-based because of the limited number of knives that you can use before going on cooldown.
It also serves as feedback for Survivors, if they see Trickster has been holding his knives they know a Flurry is about to happen, so I can see it as a kind of battle where Survivors attempt to dodge and The Trickster tries to use his knives very carefully. In the end the better player comes out on top.
yeah I probably couldve done better with this one lmao
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
That's a really unique rework, I love the idea of going back in time and having multiple options of throwing knives is also really cool. Great rework
Thank you! <3
Ive always thought it was weird that he wasnt able to do that or something somilar, considering his teaser is a music player reversing. So I wanted to incorporate that into his power some how and this is how it turned out!
-
@Haddix said:
very interesting.
- Sends out a short burst of 3 Knives.
how quickly is he throwing these knives?
I was thinking slightly faster than the Max throwrate he currently has, just fast enough to be able to turn a corner and try to get 3 cheeky knife throws.
With the faster movement speed while doing so and the audio cue of him pulling out the knives, I think it creates a unique back and forth similar to Huntress, where both wides have a chance at outplaying each other.
-
well I see this is totally gonna be moved to Feedback and Suggestions, and to be completely honest I thought that's where I was writing too
-
Deadlock /Corrupt / No Way Out / Noed is probably the best universal build that any killer can bring atm
It brings guaranteed and reliable gen delay while also packing a punch during the endgame, unlike Ruin / Undying / Tinkerer / Corrupt which gives very good gen regression but can be RNG dependent (because of totem spawns)
Both of these builds are still great tho,
-
They were in the game in the form of Autodidact, pretty sure it has been bugged/changed for a while though
Also youd have the same issue of having a perk that only hurts new players and doesnt affect experienced ones
