Yeah I could however I spent money to get the dlc and some cosmetic I should be able to as a customer voice what I need to. And unlike someone trying to pull a Patrick by defending, sucking up and making excuses I have the right to say what I damn well please when the game is ######### and I see people asking the obvious when it is obvious.
And you are wrong about one thing I don't want it to die but I am not going to sit here and act like everything is ok when it's clearly not.
So I will leave this question for you as well "why are you defending this game and why should anyone care about this game enough to stay for long periods of time?"
Im sure you've spent tones of money on some things in your life that you eventually let go, why is DbD any different? Also if you want your voice heard, basically ranting, saying something is bad without actually saying why it is doesn't help any one in the slightest. You leave very little room for discussion and give even less feedback.
Also why am I defending this game? Because I genuinely enjoy it. Are there issues? Absolutely, and some need to be addressed much faster than the current rate its being handled. That being said the idea behind the game and the concept is what I love, and its exactly why I picked up the game back in 2017.

Yeah yeah keep defending it.
Even if the egs is a different service there's a good chunk of people leaving dbd because of the glaring issues so tell me what will this game add to keep people invested that aren't already playing and as a follow up why should they care?
And saying VHS has bugs and the hype is down is ironic because it's the exact same thing as dbd except there it's more balanced and hasn't devolved into a survivor main circle jerks with horror window dressing.
Saying evil dead is bad because of nft is one thing but sure as ######### didn't stop people from buying pinhead and ignoring that little snippet when it was brought up so what does it change.
Even if Elden ring is different gameplay wise much in line with what cote said about playing a different game I got a follow up "why go back?" The devs don't give a ######### so why should the customers they have shown time and time again to favor one side and make excuses to rationalize it so when they have people playing a different game why should they bother returning to a game that is busted to the core and no one wants to fix it.
Also an event is an event whether it's Christmas or not it gives people a reason to play which right now has overstayed its welcome, tell me with the new saw tome and a new event happening at the same time how many players were added to this game keep in mind this update and the most recent QnA were also dumpsterfires which leads to something I put in before. Also remember even if the concept is unique they have had change after chance to fix it and now are showing they just can't be bothered anymore.
I mean if you want DbD to die that badly, you could like, yknow. Stop playing it? Or just stop keeping up with news on it? It simulates your weird fantasy to quite great effect. Civ 6 is an actual good game if you're not enjoying this either if you need another place to be pointed towards :). There is literally nothing stopping you from playing the game, if you really think its that bad. Don't. Play. It. Simple as that

Im curious to see what new basekit abilities killers should have. I see a lot of people saying Kindred should be basekit, and the devs are gonna make BT basekit. What should be basekit on killer?
Some sort of early slow down, some thing with the same effect as Corrupt Intervention where it helps out tremendously in the early game
All survivors should spawn together as well

Yeah except even with releasing the game for free and the christmas event along with the new tome it decreased its not pulling people its a quick increase to dress up the numbers for license holders and others to keep funding and working with these people.
And remember this is something they keep doing is it no wonder that they advertised another licensed killer around the same time Boons were live and people were using them along with releasing the saw tome the same time this pile of ######### update released eventually when other games like Elden ring, Evil dead , VHS and so on come out they can't keep doing this cause only die hard defenders will stay and the rest will know the reputation it has by now and never touch this game.
Releasing the game for free? That was on EGS, those players wont be tracked on steam charts, same goes for console players.
Winter events never really had an increase in players because literally every game out there has one
Elden Ring isn't even close to DbD's genre, but a lot of DbD content creators do play it. Its not like these content creators will quit DbD for it since they've built a community who enjoys that content, they wont just ditch that. They may drop it for a bit but eventually pick it back up.
Evil Dead will most likely have a controversial release since the people behind it are also behind the NFT's that sparked huge controversy a few months back
VHS has so many issues and the hype around it has already died down significantly, unless they can score a big license or some how fix literally all the issues before live I don't see it sticking around for much longer.
Im sorry to say, but DbD ain't dying any time soon.
-
I mean the game has just simply gone back to its normal player count
People keep saying that with the arrival of Boons the game has gone down hill... and that players are leaving. While I don't doubt some are leaving because of Boons its not the reason why it looks like the game is taking a huge hit
Just look at the charts from May 2021 to September 2021, what happened during those months?
May 2021 - Resident Evil PTB
June 2021 - Resident Evil Release
July 2021 - 5th Anniversary Event
August 2021 - Hellraiser PTB
September 2021 - Hellraiser Release
2 major licenses back to back, thats obviously going to attract A LOT of new and older players that are fans of the series. And not all of them are gonna stick with the game. If you look at the months prior the game has about the same player count it has now
The game ain't dying and I don't see it dying any time soon

Do you still play at 20 fps? Have you experienced Blight with 20 fps?
If not, then you don't understand that it has everything to do with Blight because he is affected most by bad fps and lag than any other killer.
He's talking about going against Blight, not playing them. I know that just killer in general is extremely hard with low fps and you got to get a bit creative (even though at least on console the 30 fps seems to be much more consistent than what I was dealing with)

I'm devotion 13, I know what I'm talking about. PC gamers will never know what it's like to play with low fps, lags, crashes that we face on consoles. But the problem is my inexperience, for sure.
As some one who has played with a ######### PC for 2245 hours (yes I kept track of that) with a PC that could run the game at 20 fps at the absolute lowest settings (including messing around with the config) yes, I know exactly what its like. I remember being able to tell if it was a Doctor straight from the get go because my frames would get even lower.
So, tell me this. What the hell does this have to do with Blight?
-
Idk if I would say 'overrated'
Its definitely a strong perk but I don't think people are losing games solely because of it
-
I mean hey good job on the 5 gen chase
-
it isn't bait, this is clearly some one who's just misinformed and/or inexperienced
-
He isn't OP,
The turns he makes are very telegraphed and its very hard for him to change course once he's committed to them
His power does have a cooldown
He can be frustrating to verse especially with certain Add Ons and builds, especially in Solo Q
Its imbalanced sure, but not for the side you're thinking and even then its a bit more balance than some people like to claim

Because they are adding "new content" without fixing major issues in existing game. They try to show they still care about the game and still support it, when in reality it's not exactly like this, to say the least.
But yeah, just throwing "you are incorrect" without any further elaboration definitely makes any criticism futile.
Thats more ironic than anything, has no form of hypocrisy what so ever

Plague is not a 110 percent killer. She also has 2 fountains base kit. But I definitely don't think she's S tier. I will say if there's any killer that might be S tier that isn't currently considered S tier and that's Oni. And for that it comes down to, just how long can a competitive group of survivors keep an equally skilled Oni from getting any blood at all. From what I've seen in the most recent tourney, not long at all. 1 misplaced tile or even just 1 tile that's not close enough to another and the player takes a hit. An oni in their power is the most powerful killer in the game, I'd say stronger than Nurse easily.
Unless I missed something in one of the patch notes, she only has 1 corrupt fountain with base kit

Just checked a stats tracker and found a player who's done 79,408 generators. (That's 22,276 escapes.)
But yeah, that's... kind of nutty. I only counted 6 players who had that many on Steam (plus one more who was super close at 53,345.) I've repaired a mere 4,942 for comparison. Let's not make achievements that demanding, please.
Bruh thats a lot of gens
Surprised this guys finger hasnt fallen off
-
i dont even think anyone has repaired that many gens
-
I mean if you stink.. not much else I can say other than like.. take a shower...
Alright I know bad joke, in all seriousness Pinhead is a pretty difficult killer to play since he requires precision.
Best way to use his chain in chase is casting it directly behind a Survivor and sending it out immediately. This way you arent standing still for that long which means you dont lose distance and you make it much harder for Survivors to dodge
A perk that is also pretty good on Pinhead is Lethal Persuer. Knowing where all Survivors spawn can give you a pretty good idea of where the Lament Configuration is at the start of the match. Allowing you to start a Chain Hunt VERY early.
Speaking of the Lament Configuration, when you pick it up look around you and see where all the Survivors are. Majority of the time they will stay relatively close to where they screamed before the box spawns again, allowing you to have an idea of where its next spawn is
Hope this helps!
-
Can't believe you would mention Felix, Artist and Jeff..
But FORGET CLOWN???
-
Intimidation
-
Bigger map sizes are never a good idea, the biggest map in this games history was the very first itteration of Pale Rose. And when I mean that map was huge, IT. WAS. HUGE.
And the problem with having giant maps is there is gonna be a lot of down time where nothing is happening for any one or the majority of players in the lobby since not only is it harder to find people since there are more possible places to hide, but most of the time people are gonna be traversing the map since everything is gonna be more spread out
Increased gen times is an automatic no, its boring as hell to sit on a gen for 80 seconds and adding 16 seconds by default just makes the problem worst and wouldnt really map a difference if the map is bigger.
As for your hook idea.. . Staying on the hook as a Survivor aint fun, and staying even LONGER on the hook would be even worst. It would just add to the problem of increasing the gap between solo q and swf
VC seems like a good idea on paper, but then you have to keep in mind that not every one speaks English. People in EU are connected to many different countries that all speak different languages. What Id rather see is Survivors having a chat wheel and what ever they say pops up in one of the corners on top. To add more immersion into the game the Survivors could speak in their native language and other Survivors could hear that nearby.
Overall, the main reason why this wouldnt work is because of the down time between both sides, the fun part of this game is the interaction with the otherside, and this just takes that away for the most part.

Old matchmaking was not good for sure but at least it was not sweatfest always. But now, you need to lose for chill games. I am playing this game from 2018 (4 years right now). And i never give break that long. I am not alone here, game is not enjoyable anymore.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2766330#Comment_2766330
Sadako will make me back to this game for sure. Because i love her, she is one of the horror's icon. But i hope she can keep me in game.
Unless Im just some god, (which I know Im not). I dont have to sweat to win, I play casually and go into matches with the goal of winning but mainly to enjoy myself.
I will say though, when you are playing sweaty with the sole goal of winning, it makes you miserable. Ive been doing that 30 sec AFK perkless/no add ons challenge that some streamers have been doing just because I wanted to test myself. These set of games are probably the hardest Ive ever tried to win and the times where I lose I do get frustrated because of that mindset. I am by no means doing bad, currently at Oni and Im sitting comfortably with a 3.25 kill rate. (I played Deathslinger and Pyramid Head, but forgot to AFK so I scrapped those games, I also scrapped a Freddy game for the same reason, and a Bubba game because of multiple DC's, those games I replayed and still ended up with 4ks)
Literally just play the game to enjoy yourself, there is nothing to lose if you do end up doing poorly and there is nothing really to win if you end up doing good. So why stress out about it?

No, you know how your camera is sensitive for the first 0.75 seconds of your chainsaw sprint? If you chainsaw a pallet or wall within that small time frame itll reset that timer. Allowing you to curve after youve broken it
Its kind of difficult to explain, and even harder to get use to. But the pay off is definitely worth it as you can get some pretty nutty shots
-
I dont really main a killer, al though I've been really enjoying these 2
Trickster: Moving to the side while throwing knives drastically helps controlling the recoil
Hillbilly: If youre using Lopro Chains, the initial camera sensitivity is reset if you break a pallet or wall, making it possible (al though VERY difficult) to perform an S shaped curve.

So we should talk about what then? MMR is here for months and if we are not happy about it, what we should do? I already stopped play because of sweaty fest.
Its just as much of a sweatfest and has the same consistency as the old rank system. Weve reached a point where MMR has settled and because of how easy it is to increase it many have reached the soft cap.
Its literally just a placebo

Solo Buffs are in the works, it was mentioned it the most recent dev update a few weeks ago

This is starting to get old real fast

Out of my list... GTA, DBD, and (2008-2014)COD are my contenders for top 1 most toxic community.
For me, hands down CS:GO. No contenders
-
tf are you on about? If you've actually played any other game you'll realize that DbD isn't NEARLY as much of a toxic fest as other games. Being bitched at and called a camper/tunneler is just generic salt from any multiplayer out there.
I have thousands of hours and in about 90% of my games I use end game chat, to see what others have to say and I can say with certainty that less than 1% of those have actually threatened me, called me slurs, or wished me or some one in my family some nasty things. Meanwhile you play something like CS:GO, LoL or For Honor and it might as well be a part of its culture.
In every game you are shamed for using "scummy" strategies that give you an upper edge. From what I remember in my time of CS:GO it was the auto sniper, it was almost an unwritten rule that you don't use the thing and if you did, you basically just started a war. For Honor or League, pick a Legend/Hero that recently just got a huge buff and is basically over tuned and you're gonna hear about it. Haven't kept up with League in a while and haven't played it all too much when I did simply because of the toxicity, For Honor I still play actively and the amount of times I see people called slurs or literally told to off themselves is practically every session.
I think the actual issue of why people think DbD is toxic is because they haven't been exposed to anything else. Is there some form of toxicity? Absolutely, and that comes in the form of entitlement. But to give DbD the medal of "Most Toxic Gaming Community" is just wrong.
Toxicity in Dead by Daylight has lost its meaning, its a word that is over used and thrown literally every where.
-
thing is this could be used for HARD camping, setting up an area where all 4 Legion members are and dealing full health states of damage. Not to mention you could technically just hook a Survivor, then take control of another and you'd still be guarding the hook. Because of this, this they would also have INSANE map pressure being able to not only be a 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4 places at once. You could theoretically be pressuring all 4 Survivors at once even if they're all separated, which is literally punishing them for doing their job well. Separated? Still punished for it, together? You have to deal with Frenzy.
Don't even get me started on the slow down, having to deal with a Legion member just showing up while repairing a gen and also having to deal with Deep Wounds would just be a pain, and them walking as fast as a Survivor walking is a bit more of a big deal than you realize. Zombies move at 1m/s (or 25%). A Survivor walking moves at 2.26m/s (or 56.5%). They would definitely be able to assist much better in chase because of this and be able to push Survivors off gens more consistently.
They would easily become the strongest killer in the game but in a VERY unhealthy way

Exactly. But they don't want to give away their position so it turns into a stalemate.
But like...
if the killer is standing on the hatch several meters away, theres literally no danger
If the killer starts coming towards you, book it for the hatch
If the killer closes the hatch, youre in a situation you were gonna end up in anyway which is solo EGC, its inevitable.
If they stay on the hatch, finish the remaining gens until you can power the gates and youre at scenario 2
This strat doesnt work if the Survivor has a some what functioning brain
