He's not supposed to use it for chase AFAIK, it's meant to be for mobility solely with instadown only if the survivor is in the way

Plus, this would probably create issues with camping if it's increased to th3 point where you can charge it fully before the unhook animation

sais who? the 2% of the (survivor sided) community who doenst even know what a balanced killer plays like? i get that camping is annoying but honestly you should be a little more careful when unhooking survivors especially when the killer is there.... have some sense of self-preservation..... its no use saving someone if youre just going to get yourself killed but if you manage it good for you...

that being said im not convinced that this change helps or hurts the camping issue as a coordinated camper will always get the down, and in this case would have a little more breathing room in the case of bully squad rescues.....

still not quite as good as leather face (why does he even need a speed boost?) but hopefully more reliable gap closing instadowns

Why would you nerf Billy again?

it would actually be a buff to billies end game stats

Fun fact: This is exactly how Decisive Strike used to work. A prior version of it worked as follows

Once per Trial, when the Killer's Obsession, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 3/3.5/4 seconds.

When not the Killer's Obsession, succeed a Skill Check when the wiggle meter is at 45/40/35 % to escape the Killer's grasp.

so like that then but without the skill check or obsession requirement

lets you break free once per trial after wiggling 35%

DS deactivates in the endgame so they wouldn't be able to use it in the situation you described and it wouldn't give them a free escape like it would have in the past. That was the whole point of the nerf last summer and I don't think it needs any further nerfs. If they're unhooked before the endgame then you have the option to go for the unhooker and you have the assurance that the unhooked survivor cannot do anything to progress the game without losing their DS.

then undo these nerf and apply the ones i suggested... the thing about this nerf is it doesnt apply during end-game collapse but does when there is still a gen left to be done and i have zero kills, and completely takes any chance of me getting those kills away by nullifying any skill/luck i just put out there...

  • listen...

if i spend the game not camping and not tunneling i get hooks right but no gaurantees..

imagine i get lucky and hook two players near the end of the match and they get saved by someone so my only option at this point is to tunnel.... SOMEHOW i manage to down them both but as it turns out they both have dstrike and my day is effectively ruined because it is just such a useful skill on its own...

maybe with this nerf dstrike can get a haste buff for a short duration after breaking free

  • the point was that with increased base movement speed new nurse players would have easier chases. and the nerf to tp strike is to negate the undeniability that strong nurse players have when using aura perks..

Imagine wraith would look down while uncloaking and gets slowed down more.

Thats what you think is good for her, which means killing all potential of using her power in a chase or to ambush survivors. The ability would become useless in a chase, which makes her chase the default braindead "M1" chase.

    She'd be a worse wraitth.

Edit: too lazy to check math bit wrerent her blinks just barely better than 115% walking on long distances?

    No?

with these changes you would be required to use her power LESS... which is the exact opposite of "braindead m1 chase" as her power exists to close gaps and mind game opponents.... assuming she goes right into cooldown after chase instead of her typical late reaction to expending her power in addition to reduced base cooldown; she could still effectively use her power in chase and loops, but with less uncounterability and less reliance due to these changes.... youre fine to prefer her current level of difficulty/ease as a player but you cannot honestly tell me that this wouldnt make the lives of the less skilled easier while bringing those who are too skilled down to a normal level of killer potential..

The community are advocating to buff sirvivors because some of them are using comms for advantaged, and the devs are actually implemeting stuff for that.

Yet here we are in another nerf thread for the opponent who actually competes on the level of said survivor+thrid party tool users.

We should be wrecking our brains to pull up all killers to the level of nurse, not nerf her down into uselessness.

Cuz most killers will be inadequate once "solo" (read: survivor) reaches "swf" ( survivor pluss comms plus teamwork)

it is not a NERF thread it is a rework thread....

i personally think these changes would make nurse more accessible and easier to play...

That implies there is an issue with Nurse.

There's nothing wrong with having more difficult characters to pick up. Nor with having more difficult characters to master. Variety in level of ease to pick up and/or master is a good thing. Accommodates for different types of players.

Even the world's best Nurses can still be beaten just fine (by survivors of the same level).

yes but the level of skill it takes to go from terrible to easily playable is too large and too tedious..... i imagine nurse being seen as viable or "worse than other killers" is just because no one takes the time to learn to play her... and those who do are rewarded with one of the greatest killers in the game i just think for a killer as aesthetically pleasing as nurse is that she should be more accessible as a killer...

  • these changes would fix the two main issues with nurse as a killer....

one it would reduce the skill gap/requirements for people playing nurse as giving chase without having to use her power would be easier.. thus not forcing player to practice perfect and precise blinking, and rather for them to play the Nurse as they would any other killer....

two it would reduce the ability of people who do have perfectly precise blinking to be a very obvious counter to survivors all on their own....

without perks, nurse mains are the most powerful killers conceptually due to her power being so good.. throw perks into the mix and she is the essence of imbalance.... i dont think it is a perk issue it is a nurse issue....

  • @FMG15 said:

What a terrible suggestion... there are plenty of good ideas but not being able to attack while she uses her power? Would make blinks completely useless unless it's for map traversing. The Nurses basekit is fine by itself. The main issue are her power with strong gen perks and her addons. But those are issues that can be easily fixed and the addons will be fixed mostly (though Jenner's Last Breath and Campbell's Last Breath should stay the way they are right now because the PTB changes make them completely broken).

if you just fixed perks and add-ons, nurse would still outshine most other killers in terms of ability (and even more so) because of the versatility of her teleporting.... these nerfed perks would be useless on other killers and only nurse would get true value out of them..

honestly as a killer main i wouldnt complain if you just started buffing other killers it would give me a reason to play more often....

also im assuming what you guys mean by playing competently and organized is swf.... as a solo qeue survivor you cant honestly expect me to escape unless im running left behind or some other build that gaurantees me hatch...

you do have to think more about what people who can communicate across the entire map can do in relation to people who can communicat within a certain distance can do..... its honestly bad for game health to play that way and definitely ruins the experience for me when the games balance is centered around this obvious exploit...

All your change does is make Nurse a normal-speed M1 Killer with a mobility power. Plus nerf her.

And we already have enough of those.

id rather have one more normal killer than this current gameplay abomination...

  • @White_Owl said:

That would be basically Wesker when he vaults windows and pallets. It's not bad per se but Wesker has other stuff in his kit, while the Nurse would have just that...

Except that nurse can blink through walls and entire structures as well instantly putting her her waaay above wesker in terms of that...

    look

all this change does is make it so that nurse isnt gauranteed to win.... because anyone with half a brain would tell you that nurse is practically a gauranteed win and outshines most if not all killers in terms of ease....

  • all this really does is reduce the effectiveness of nurses ability to outright deny looping... otherwise she still is able to travel throughout the map with relative ease and even through survivors off with her predictions....

  • oh jeez i didnt actually realize how terrible that would be xD

would actually make solo qeue survivor unplayable while basically not affecting swf.. my bad

Been asked for many many times. Their answer is always they "have no plans" to add it. Reasons given have been:. It would be way too much work, take way too much time to implement, and require an UI overhaul as well.

There is an adapter for about $250 USD that apparently works for PlayStation but not fully for Xbox.

um no? and even if that were true im sure it is something they could do.... i mean they just recently overhauled the fricking ui so im not sure its a good reason

And assuming they have it for pc they could have just thrown it into the coding for consoles when they put the game there so yeah zero reasoning other than to troll i guess same thing with end game chat

  • I use the green key a lot actually with the add-on that reveals the killers aura because it helps in chase and isnt super rare....

  • i get the universe vibe and basic lore of how things probably function but when it comes to specific characters i dont always go out of my way to know why they are there...

  • idk about mpreg but it def could be possible.. let us just hope that dbd survivors are more responsible than that...

  • not helpful in the slightest

  • some people dont care about the game they just want to put the people who "abuse bad game design" in their place....

but it isnt really effective it is just annoying they are prolly stupid for getting any enjoyment out of cheating in any game....

I mean terror radius is kind of irrelevant if you still glow like the sun from far away.

lmao just take a better route i get that stealth killers might not be super op on EVERY map

  • i like the idea but idea seems like it would change legion a ton

i think it would be great if legion didnt have a red stain

maybe if they had add-ons that reduced their terror radius then that would make them better stealth killers

  • Pf idc about boon totems GIVE IT BACK

thank you for calling me out.

    this is very not true.

Actually... 10% is still a noticeable amount

  • anyone who believes survivors have it rough needs a wake up call

  • i bet you 90% of forum users actually have cheats for dbd...

i cant help but feel it is that way

  • bubba is basically better legion yeah i agree with that nerf

  • Lmao just bring a toolbox

Saboteur is great paired with Yuis perk that lets you run faster than the killer while he is carrying a survivor. this plus we are getting a haste perk.

throw on empathy or spine chill for extra destruction speed and your toolbox basically becomes a flashlight

it would be cool though if the skill increased the time it took for hooks to respawn by like 5 seconds or so

I would change decisive strike to a wiggle proggress skill (this would make it less of a stand on its own overpowered chase perk as it would need to be paired with something like Boil over to be used extremely effectively)

  • no its literally their fault for not knowing good advice from bad advice

survivors should suffer and rarely be able to escape all with all four people it just isnt realistic in terms of horror

survivors should be rewarded for their contribution towards others escapes not just their own

example being if you heal or save a certain survivor from a hook then you get a multiplier towards those actions you did on them if they end up escaping...

and with a change that rewards survivors for working together would see them having to stay the remainder of the match until all other survivors escape or die to see how they did...

Id like to say that if the game was changed in a good way then killers would realise they dont gain much from camping and tunneling as they are already rewarded based on the struggling of survivors in addition to their sacrifice

right now i think survivors have the upper hand in dbd and i dont think it should be that way but if its 4 to 1 argument its a 4 to 1 argument

  • lmao fix the game for killers and maybe the survivors will suffer less tunneling..

im sure bhvr is looking into a way to delete tunneling from the game though..

great example of what decisive does to "carry" (lmao) survivors

changing it to a wiggle progress skill would make it into an rng based on how far from a hook you are skill instead of a get out of jail free card

  • need justice for mmr killers

  • new survivors are uncoordinated and typically dont have access to these perks

but once you get to a point where every survivor knows what they are doing, (which wont take long) these perks pretty much carry them along with the fact that for some reasons generators just do themselves basically

  • honestly if they reworked decisive strike and nerfed deadhard then maybe mmr wouldnt be unplayable for killers

    my suggestions

give deadhard a hitbox but make it smaller than usual (this would force you to use it skillfully to dodge and duck attacks as opposed to phasing through them)

DELETE decisive strike as is literally so dumb and annoying or make it so that it automatically procs at a certain amount of wiggle progress (this would make it less op of a standalone perk as you would need other perks to make it more powerful)

nerf boon totem range (this is optional honestly id like to see how the game would go if they nerfed dstrike and deadhard first)

  • If they changed how the game works then survivors would get more rewards from their contribution to anyone including themselves' escape..

in most horror movies there is rarely ever more than two survivors so i imagine that it being so easy to escape with four people is bad for the game...

this game doesnt respect killers or a real survivor mindset it is literally "hurry and go help your friend bully a killer" simulator

  • Generators* sorry

  • maybe pig is a good killer because she forces survivors to do more than genorators and heal themselves at mach speed

  • it isnt a singular game

survivor is literally the meta they get away with everything thanks to the perks they have and how little they have to do because of them

  • i agree survivors are busted

    nerf boon healing range

    give deadhard a hitbox

  • lmao just slot Left behind and hide the whole game dont even go for saves

  • its a good game but it is also a terrible game at this point in time

  • Basically why i cant quit is because i remember when 99% percent of the game wasnt toxic
