Can you argue that a player who has used Wake Up less than 1% of the games before the GF suddenly jumps to using Wake Up in every perk build now is "unaware"? There is a clear difference between casually changing up your build and intentionally abusing a broken perk to your advantage.
Exploiting bugs is a bannable offense. It is easy for the devs to discern intentional abuse and unintentional use. There is no compelling reason not to punish players for exploitation. Why have rules at all when there is no punishment for breaking them?
The devs are pushovers and the only thing players have learned is that they can ruin games with it for as long as they can and get away with it.
Banning current and future customers over fixable exploits is simply bad business. There's a huge difference between rightfully blaming people who abuse those bugs and bashing the devs for not being so draconian.
-
They're never going to ban anyone without announcing that people should stop using the bugged items first.
-
Rejected again...

I would have preferred "The Face", but anything is better than "The Ghost Face".

Thing is, he is original.
The mask is what is licensed. This isn't a Scream DLC.
The mask is licensed. The fact that they had more freedom with the character doesn't change the fact that there's still a third-party who needs to get a cut.

You don't have to buy every killer and survivor all at once
Nor should you, considering how much time investment it takes to make any one of them viable.
-
All things considered, $87 is not that much. Especially when the game offers plenty of ways to earn the majority of its content completely for free.
The best killers and survivors are all free, anyway.
-
Yeah, the name breaking all conventions AND sounding so awkward is really disappointing.
-
Probably not. The PTB system definitely has its downsides, so this is probably for the best. Not to mention that lately BHVR can't do anything without leaking all their work, so again, putting out a test build full of future content is probably not the best idea.
-
You realize we already received the 'next' Survivor, right?
The only difference is this time we didn't get a map.
Which is really annoying, yes, but you don't have to exaggerate.
-
Yes.
But actually no.
It works more or less the same as before, with the additional rule that the hatch will now always spawn and open when there is only 1 survivor left.
In any other situation, it's the same.
-
That is the Tuesday closest to the anniversary. Though I think a release on the 11th would have been nice too.
-
Wooow.
It's Ghostface. In DBD? For us.?
This sure is surprising.
We had no idea, BVHR, what a nice surprise.
-
Been suggested since 2017. Here's hoping it'll happen whenever they finally take another look at this mess of a perk.

Its desperation to counter-act the continuously declining player numbers. Not only do they make new content (which can be heavily monetized) and lure players back temporary with new content, they often add more cosmetics for already existing stuff too.
Its all about money. Makes sense, them being a business, but they ain't gaining player brownie points by being greedy douche-nuggets over and over again.
When the dedicated servers come, I expect there to come a lot of issues with it and those issues won't be fixed until many months afterwards. Why? Because Behavior doesn't fix things fast. Just look at the audio issues, the entity blocker not working.. It has been like that for many months.
Oh, this tired "game is dying" meme again.
The numbers for the game have been stable since March. But the fastest way they could shed players would be stop putting out new content for months like they did the beginning of last year.
New content is what keeps this game going. The OP's complaints are all pretty silly since the reason none of the things he's suggesting (relating Jane to the Plague, or changing the Legion completely) didn't happen because BHVR "didn't take their time". Whether you agree with their design choices or not, those were their choices.
-
I mostly agree with your takes, though I do tend to have fun against Legion if they're not exploiting.
IMO Plague can be hit-or-miss sometimes, but usually the matches are okay.
Spirit is virtually always unpleasant.
-
Yep. Cleanse.
-
Everything!
Most Used Survivor, Most Used Perks, Escape Rate By Killer and By Map.
The good, hard data; the fact that it's been so long since we had that info really skews the community's perception of the game balance. We need to know what you guys know.
-
I don't why they gave her that advantage over every other killer, but the lack of a vault animation is a really cheap "passive" bonus.
-
No, it won't.
This is pointless fearmongering anyway since in all likelihood it won't be in the shrine for a while.
-
The vast majority of the people whining have not even bothered trying to play with any of the new changes. The fact that so much of the "feedback" the devs receive comes from uninformed or knee-jerk reactions are exactly why they take most of it with a grain of salt.
-
Quite possibly, yes.
-
Talk about an exaggeration.
2 bad changes are not an entire update. There have been updates, even recently, that made the game totally unplayable, and you think two experimental changes to two specific killer is "the worst". Sure...
-
This is not far off from saying "NOED is bad because I always die before the gens are complete".
Okay. But when you don't, and you shouldn't, it's not.
I rarely use items either but that doesn't mean Franklin's doesn't hurt whenever I do have them.
-
His only ability is to get easy 'first' strikes. Then he has to cling to the injured survivor in Frenzy and then hope he can down them like any other M1 once it ends.
Strange changes.
-
Very true.
Honestly, I was really liking all of the changes until that last one. It's extremely counterintuitive.

Just You Wait:
Grants the ability to kill 1/3/All Survivors who have been Hooked 3 times.
"This'll get her..." - The Hag
Late Deliverance:
After being Rescued from the Hook, the Perk activates.
You now have a 100% chance to unhook yourself during the escape attempt.
A successful Deliverance from the Hook triggers the Broken Status Effect for 100/80/60 seconds.
"I was raised by a strict man who didn't really understand what was going on most of time, to be honest." — Adam Francis
-
I've seen worse.
I've played games, admittedly with a player base that is probably a bit young, where the "dead chat" after every game is just limitless salt. If your team lose, your teammates will flame you. If you caused your enemies to lose, they flame you. If you won and even played a perfect game, chances are your own team (and they win if you win) will still call you trash.
-
This exact suggestion was shot down over and over in the PTB.
That would be a Plague nerf. The killer wants survivors to use the fountains as that is the only the way they get access to their most powerful ability.
-
Old Shrine made it very easy for this to happen. I have all of Nea and Jake's perks and they're both Lvl 1. I have all of Feng's perks too. I haven't even unlocked her, and I never will because it still costs 9000 Shards even though I have all her perks.
And I also have 2/3 of Quentin, Ace, and Laurie, none of whom I own.
-
I don't wear mind all that often. Certain players see Legacy and decide you're now a trophy. True story, once had killer say "lol I mori'd a Legacy player XD" (I wish I was parodying but that was pretty much exactly what they wrote) because they killed me in an earlier match and I wore Legacy in the second one.

Claudette, Dwight, David, Bill, and soon to be Kate.

@Poweas said:
No, there's no dark times. People who say that don't understand what it was like back in July 2017-April 2018. It was absolute hell for killers. I used to main survivor and it was never easier.
Did you mean 2016-17? July '17 was when the Huntress came out, which was when the game began to improve dramatically from the huge rollercoaster of a mess it had for its first year. Those were the end of the dark times, really.
-
@Andreyu44 said:
But then Claudette mains will have to get better at chases and will have to start doing something useful instead of crouching around the map with Urban Immersion doing NOTHING for the team.
This is a problem!
They would just UE with the next best character.
Every character in the game now has a varied color palette besides the newer characters with little content, Claudette shouldn't be an exception.
-
Very excited! ILS and 1-3v1s are the most annoying recurring issues in the game, and to hear that immediate work is being done to remedy them is fantastic.
Freddy getting a full rework is wonderful too; I'm hoping that's what needed to make him fun for both killers and survivors, instead of being irritating for everyone.
I'm one of the few people who don't mind the Legion, outside the moonwalking and addons exploits. But he's a common source of complaints, so at least this a chance for all the people who do have a problem to gain some peace of mind.
-
3v1s being gone is incredible news.
You are actually complaining about less of your time being wasted, as 3v1s are generally a total waste of time, especially if you're taking the game seriously.
-
Yeah, I understand why they cut back on doing the livestreams every week, but I really do miss the updates.
When was the last time they released the Kill Rates or Perk Usage charts? Feels like they haven't done that in forever.
-
Not since before v.2.
Might use it to get Ash's perks if/when they show up, not holding my breath on that though.

There needs to be harsher punishment for DC. And, compensation for the players who don't DC. If survivors DC, killers should be rewarded like they hooked that survivor 3 times. DC'ing should result in a whole rank depip. Gonna have to get across to players that DC'ing isn't worth it somehow. Either finish the game you started, or get heavily penalized for DC'ing.
You do realize that the devs have purposefully reduced the DC pip penalty, right?
-
You hit them again.
You're welcome.
-
Most of the time, they're annoyed at something you did earlier. Which might include farming them, crouching across the map or hiding in lockers when the killer is nowhere nearby, letting them go straight to second struggle state, etc.
-
Some of you people care way too much about these Fog Whisperers.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Ah yes, cuz no one could ever replicate such a thing. Surely haven't done it myself or anything. A free hit is totally fine and balanced. I forgot these are survivor parts. My bad.
Weren't you just bragging a few posts ago about how much you were going to run this perk? "Survivor Main btw" ftw.
Your fantastic situation (that totally totally happened) could never NOT be a meme because BT would never last long enough if anyone was actually trying. If we're balancing around meme possibilities, you could take that same chain of events and claim that DH or BT are broken, so the fact you think it demonstrates some kind of problem with MoM is even funnier. Your bad indeed.

Quote above you says otherwise? It's a not an absurd combo, it was an example of how stupid a free hit is. If you think it's a meme, and worthless, there's no point talking to you. If you can't get MoM to work, that's on you. I'm gonna continue to use it, and meme on people with my friends.
Wanna activate it solo? Take a hit while someone's being chased, or carried to the hook. Go off and heal. Next down MoM is active, wow, such a difficult task. That's assuming you even go down and don't get another chance to heal in which you'll get 3 full hits to go down.
Oh no the quote above me does not say anything like that.
The only person seriously suggesting that the chain of events involved in saying "My friend got hit twice activated MOM, then BT then DH and then Adren, MOM is so broken!!!" can be anything but a joke is you.
-
You are the one who posted claiming to demonstrate how powerful the perk is by giving an absurd combo. You originally insisted it was the product of the simplest coordination, but you're now admitting it's just a ridiculous meme with no practical benefit or relevance whatsoever. You're much closer to the truth after adjusting your stance. That's good.

Yup, he totally didn't just take the hits cuz he could. Clearly just a boosted killer. Survivor mains are always great for a laugh, thanks.
Oh, of course! Sure!
So he didn't need to take that hit. So MoM had no actual impact on his performance whatsoever. You've proven the exact opposite of the point you were trying to make.
And thank you, I'll be here all week.

Yup. In a game a friend of mine had someone pulled off the hook, healed up, got hit, got hit again but MoM activated, got hit again into BT, Dead Harded, then got Adren. With any semblance of coordination/planning you can extend a chase for a stupid amount of time. It's insanely strong in an SWF.
Wowie, BT AND MoM...
Imagine struggling against a survivor so boosted they got knocked twice in 20 seconds.

Enduring affects stun times.
DS is a stun.
Ergo, Enduring should affect DS. And hey, it always had until the last patch.
The only reason they had to make an exception for the reworked DS was because the new stun time was so short that Enduring would have made the perk actually useless.
The entire point of this change is that new DS was underpowered and now that it's being tweaked, Enduring needs to be reworked accordingly. I'm not sure where the problem is when the only real alternative was to NOT let it affect DS again. In other words, you're complaining that Enduring wasn't nerfed.
