If you aren't carrying your team, it's not "your team's" fault you're struggling. If your teammates are about the same competence as you, that also isn't a problem, that's how it should. It's not hard or impossible to survive or pip as a solo survivor if you yourself are actually consistently playing well. The average "bad" teammates are simply not so consistently terrible you don't have a fair shot at doing well.
If your team can't function with Ruin, then you need to find the totem yourself to help them out, or you need to be the one powering through gens and keeping the game moving. If your teammates are potatoes who can't run the killer for more than 10s, then you need to be the one taking the killer on a multi-gen run. None of this is impossible, and at the very least none of it would be any more fun if other people were doing it for you.
And let's face it, that's what all these complaints about bad teammates boils down to: not being able to rely on other people to win the game for you.

Said this in another thread, but Isaac from the Dead Space series would be an awesome fit to DBD.
TV is more difficult because there isn't a lot in horror television in terms of producing big or iconic characters. TV is, of course, very episodic.
-
Not really. I try to make all my Survs have slightly different builds, but the more Survivors that max out the harder it is to find something both unique and interesting for each one (obviously it would be really easy to choose perks that were unique and terrible). I've just brought Jeff to P350+ and have yet to come up with a build that isn't identical to what I run on someone else.

If so, then the devs changed it with the introduction of the EGC. But I could swear i saw that hatch thing happening lately.
It's never been possible to use keys while downed. It was also virtually never necessary because if hatch was closed, that meant there was another survivor in the game, otherwise the hatch was always open.
-
I also like their design. To each their own.
-
When it's ready.
Maybe a little bit before then.
-
The natural competitiveness of the game means it's not uncommon for players to be too dense to realize you're letting them win. You have to make it really obvious.
-
The graphics and whole aesthetic of the game was much nicer way back when. Autohaven with its creepy blue tinge, the darkness of Macmillan. Really, the only way that the modern version is better is that some things were hard to see before. Prestiged characters like Dwight hid really well, and Claudette was actually ridiculous back then, far worse than the "Blendettes" we have now. Otherwise though, it's a shame it's gone.

Overall, I do agree with this. Though as you said, SB, DS, MoM all did deserve their nerfs and were insanely strong on-release.
But there will always be something to complain about and it is indeed a cycle. The only reason Adrenaline is being discussed as a "problem" is because so many other perks, including those three but also Saboteur (x2), Borrowed Time, Self-Care (x2) were all hit so hard that Adrenaline is the last top-shelf perk that hasn't been nerfed. And if Adrenaline were to be hit, the complaints would turn to something else. It's a neverending cycle but thankfully, I'm sure the devs are aware of this by now.
The sheer proof of this is that people were also complaining about Adrenaline a few months ago, too... until MoM dropped and instantly Adrenaline wasn't a big deal anymore.
-
LF does have his own map; Grim Pantry is supposed to be "his".
But it seems likely that we'll see the Badham technique applied to other realms in the future.
-
Camping is only ever as effective as the Survivors let it be.
-
Because: BT has been nerfed multiple times but it's still better than most perks in the game
and Adrenaline is the living picture of a fair and balanced perk, acknowledged SWF shenanigans aside, but if you start messing with a perk because SWF can break it, you'll never stop.
-
I tend to hit more greats with Ruin than without, actually.
-
Too strong. More likely we'll get something for used-but-not-destroyed pallets first imo.

Some people insist Spirit is fine and doesn't need a rework, but they're wrong because her sounds desperately need a rework. From the phasing to the duck honking, it would really be nice if she had sounds that were more spooky, more Japanese, than what we have now. This is a horror-themed game, they really could fine something more unsettling than an air pump for the phasing notification.

sadly he got nerfed into the ground shortly after release. so unfun how most of the time you cant even use his power. after the freddy rework he, trapper and the doc gonna be the worst killers.
Ever considered that maybe YOU are the problem? Official game stats had him competing nearly as well as the Nurse at R1, so evidently many GFs aren't struggling as hard as you are... if you've even actually tried playing since he was tweaked. Who knows, since you were definitely already declaring him unplayable before you, well, actually tried playing him again.
-
^Not to mention Doc was the very first killer to get a rework and for the time he was considered top-tier.

its been proven that the grind to get a character p3-50 all perks is actually a lot harder than the original legacy p3-50 all perks due to the amount of perks added to the game
"Proven" and yet totally irrelevant. A. BPs are ridiculously more easy to get nowadays B. P3-All Perks was never a standard for the original Legacy anyway.

And how is that supposed to stop you from being blinded at every safe pallet that you have to break in order to continue the chase with a chance of catching the fleeing Survivor?
"Use ears" meant use your ears to follow them while you're blinded instead of acting like being blinded means the chase is over.

Give them your item as a gift/offering

Y'all can stop trying to push Dwight to be this big symbol of hotness, you all know that's the biggest lie xD
Pls stahp
Dwight is the only vaguely attractive male survivor (at least in default clothing), so it's not surprising people have learned to settle for him.

They are completely different layouts. Current Badham has all the key buildings in the exact same place every time (same road layout, same shack, same school, only thing that changes is the backyards and the houses sometimes swap positions). These variations share the same buildings, but they are placed in completely different spots.
Thanks for the explanation! I was able to check out Badham II and I'm looking forward to seeing how the other ones look.
-
It's a design choice. Items, including the key, can't be used while downed.
-
It would sure be nice not to have sort through Left Behind and No Mither in so many bloodwebs.
The caveat is that perks can be updated (or broken. Looking at you Wake Up...) at any time so you might one day be glad you have certain ones unlocked.
-
I still haven't noticed any exploit with it, and I've been using it as always.
I definitely recall it being bugged and exploitable during the first half of the last PTB, but haven't seen anything off since then, so I'm actually wondering what the issue is.
-
Almost like it's still in beta...
-
The reasons you listed are the exact reasons it's not available. Long ago there was an exploit that some people were able to use to find out the Killer in the lobby, but it's been impossible for a long time. The only possible use for that info is to dodge, which doesn't need to be encouraged.
-
Most of mine are absolutely awful. Only Aces are more consistently potato.
-
The only reason you want it is because you don't have it. The grind is a joke today compared to the nightmares of the old days, especially for survivors.
-
"Too Strong". Not even close. It will always be nothing more than a noob-friendly perk, and at best a tool to help bad solo queue survivors enjoy some of the advantages of SWF.
-
Swamp is a beautiful map, imo. It fits the DBD aesthetic perfectly, or at least it matches the original core maps the most.
The problem is the size. Backwater is still pretty bad, and even Grim Pantry has too many outer tiles with content on them.
-
If that's how some people wish to spend their money, I have no complaints. New players are years behind at this point, and if they're willing to pay instead of grind, fine.
-
Freddy's power actively prevents him from playing the game. No, that weakness is not
offset by any "hidden strengths".
People unironically call these buffs a "nerf' and then wonder by BHVR ignores this forum so much.
-
All this means for PC players is even more clutter in the Shrine taking the place of anything new.
-
How is Jake not in his own tier at the top of the list??? His screams are hilariously over-the-top.
-
WoO is a garbage-tier perk, and is still garbage, fake-pallet detection or not. Of all the
things to be worried about. Oh no, a power wouldn't be good against the handful of noobs running WoW because they literally have nothing better; Oh no, a power won't be as good against the big brain players wasting an entire perk slot to counter one specific killer's specific selection of addons.
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
A perk should never counter a part of a killers power.
That's never been a rule and there's no good reason it should start now.
-
Neither.
-
Good. Downvotes brought nothing but brainless dogpiling.
-
It's kind of shocking they haven't done this already.
-
I'm really surprised that some people are saying they see David so much. On PC? He's fairly rare in my experience. As for full match lobbies, 4 Claudettes, the Squadette, is by far the most common for me. 4 Dwights and then 4 Megs are a lot less common, and I've rarely see any of the others at 3.
-
I always play solo and my games have been roughly the same as always. Sometimes you get idiots, sometimes you don't.
Yes, I do think that after the pipping changes, the better survivors seem to no longer stay in the purple/green ranks and as a result purple/green matches can be more annoying. But it comes and goes.
-
Here we go indeed. Right on schedule for the doomsayers on this forum to proclaim Ghostface is dead, BHVR is incompetent, etc, while the entire rest of the community will continue to enjoy him.
-
Well when you're a Claudette main...

@FrenziedRoach Eh, its a double standard thing. Imagine the outcry if survivors risked getting banned for exploiting something. It'd affect a lot of players. The forums would be filled with "why i got ban" threads and such, plus a review bombing.
Oh please, what a load.
You're either totally new or have a very selective memory.
There have been a number of exploits in this game's history and MOST of them didn't get a proper comment from the devs. But they absolutely have warned and punished survivors in the past the exact same way they punished killers over the Legion exploit. Of the three times the devs have announced they'll be handing out bans for certain things, only the Legion exploit was killer-related.
-
"Playing this game since Dec. 2018"
Well that explains it then. They're strong compared to what's been in the game during the comparatively small time you've been around, so you perceive them as particularly unbalanced.

Customers or not, people are not entitled to services if they are intentionally ruining if for everyone else. People who intentionally exploit are few and far in between, and if it is a common occurence, then punishment is even more necessary.
Besides, no one is arguing permabans. That is ridiculous. But a suspension for not following the ToS is entirely warranted.
An obvious double standard is that you would not defend people getting punished for repeated D/Cs over the irrelevant fact that they paid for the game.
But that's just it: it wouldn't be a double-standard. People being banned for DCs, and anyone punished for all the balance-related exploits hitherto, first received clear warnings to stop doing whatever they were doing. That's why no one would feel bad for such people getting punished. But that same warning is what everyone is expecting before any action is taken over this latest round of bugs.
