Well, I was already miffed that another licensed release = shards useless yet again. I didn't care for Jane so, now it's going to be a full year of shards saved up before another survivor comes. Meh.
-
From red ranks? YMMV.
From Purple? No.
-
Even if the very next chapter isn't based on the show, we're still almost certainly getting one in the imminent future.

From where are these ideas with 2 new survivors ? You really think they gonna release 6 new survivors perks in this chapter, especially now, when their ideas for new perks are limited, because of how many perks we already have ?
Pulled straight out of nowhere. Have to find something to complain about.
Gotta love how the OP leads with "I don't want to think about it" but "it" is only even a thing because they can't help but think about it.

Support is notoriously unreliable with lost Legacy claims. Good luck though.
-
More than likely it's going to be something underwhelming. Which, let's be honest, is for the best. The whole reason they're even doing the rework was to break up the more powerful add-on combos.

Rancor shouldn't even exist.
Rancor is a perfect example of how something can be absolute BS without necessarily being "OP". Because the perk is such BS when it triggers on a random survivor not running any obsession perks. It should be a DS/OoO punisher instead it's usually just a middle finger to one random survivor for existing.
-
Adrenaline already has a risk, don't mess with a perfectly balanced perk.

Your list for Spirit is backwards.

I remember back in the day Dwight was considered bad because of his perks. Turns out Bond was always a strong and fair perk. Sprint Burst, Self-Care, Botany Knowledge and Saboteur were just broken beyond belief.
I remember Billy being bottom tier because infinites and the sheer number of obstacles on the map.
I remember Nurse release day. Hexy (former SxyHxy) had orgasms on stream...LOL. And Nea was a considered a mediocre Survivor.
Remember how Trapper could keep dropping a downed Survivor directly in the bear trap? Remember double trap right below the hooked Survivor? Man, those were some trappy times.
Lots of good memories. Even looking back at some bad times, this was easily one of my most played games this gen.
LOL, yes, back when being a Nea or Dwight main was honestly just a bad choice. TBF, Bond was always considered really good, though not worth it since you could also just go for Empathy from Claudette and get 2 other amazing perks while you were at it. I suppose it was just Nea alone in the irredeemable bottom-tier.
The real problem with Dwight was that Bond was nearly impossible to get under the old perk system. All the Common/Uncommon/Rare perks were painful to unlock.
I never once saw Bond II in a bloodweb until after the rework.

Had a group like that just a few days ago. Plague with a Mori and an SWF duo that followed me around as she chased me.
It wasn't fun.
-
Seriously though, a loosely-inspired Scooby Doo cosmetic set would be amazing.
-
Well we can agree it's better than the PTB disaster.
I think it's fine as is, though.
-
The things people choose to complain about, smh.
-
Cool ideas!
(I will point out though that, besides Meg, David K. also is/was an athlete.)

It would have to be a perk because no one is going to bring an item to a game with the small chance the killer has a mori. A perk that could counter a mori I would be okay with. In that way it would be like the unbreakable or deliverance perk. You might need it, you might not. Probably won't need it but just in case.
Well, that's the point. A guaranteed mori escape in the form of the perk would be too widely available and represent a major nerf to moris.

I totally agree. I have everyone p3 full perk and me and others guys deserve something cool before everything become easy
Everything's already easy.

I almost miss Ketchup Ace and Jake's mismatch skin. :(
So many good memories in this post.
-
A one-use item that had that function could be interesting. Entity knows Survivors could use new items.
-
They all look the same to me. Outside of the blue or red accents, if anything.
-
Initially Killer add-ons only went up to VR. Billy, and as of now the Nurse, have yet to have major overhauls since release, so neither of them have them.
Meanwhile, Tumtums' add-ons are based on Billy's.
-
It seems like they've more or less abandoned the idea of "paragraphs".
-
LBR, all of Kate's perks are jokes.
It's a good thing she's pretty.
-
Currently I'm enjoying my "Cotton Candy Claudette", the purple Science Fair pants + the LFD pink top + her default beret.

@Okapi Can you blame us? Have you SEEN those flip flops?
I gotta admit, I'm kind of upset that Billy of all the possible characters in the game is the first to be rocking the flip flops.

@BlueFang said:
I think it would just be really nice to have variety in objects Survivors can throw down
It would all be the same as pallets of course but the model would be different, just anything but boring rainbow colored pallets, can't we be hit by a door for once? lol
Agreed. Even simple pallet recolors based on the map should definitely be in the game. Hooks change depending on the map, why not lockers and pallets?
-
There was a time when memory and cases made sense for most of the cosmetics, but some of them seem very unfitting (why does Claudette have so many party outfits?).
-
Claudette was confirmed to be the youngest of the original 4 in a dev stream long ago. She is college-age. I think the rest of the OG Survivors were all early 20s.

The First two movies have a lot more horror in them but the rest are just dumb action with no depth to them. I highly recommend watching the first film
Oh, good to know. I will add it to my list of classic movies I need to catch up on, thanks.
-
You have to just laugh and move on. Or take it as a complaint that they're so jealous/frustrated at being beaten they have to accuse you of cheating to make themselves feel better.
-
I haven't seen the Predator movies, but aren't they more action than horror, albeit with a mix of both? Would they really fit in with the game's theme?

I'm sorry if you don't think Nurse addons need a nerf you're a little crazy.
Most whiners on this forum are. They're so blinded by bias it actively limits their ability to reason.

Not even a tiny bit.

Vanilla forever.

Never (thankfully).
If this thread wasn't enough of an indication, you might be surprised how many people like DBD specifically because it doesn't use voice comms.

@Science_Guy this is a pretty biased point you threw out there. Killers are no less dependent on access to good perks than survivors. As someone who has leveled both sides I see no difference in the need to frind through the BW for solid perk builds. Heck, I found it easier to do as killer due to the rediculous advantage of BP gain, even taking que times into consideration.
The grind sucks equally across the board. Not everything is killer vs survivor. Much of this game's problems is more player vs design flaws.
You completely missed the point.
You only need to do the grind one time as a survivor. There's no reason to fully level up multiple survivors except for pure fun. Each killer needs to be grinded out individually because each killer is completely different.
Also, biased? Towards killers? lol no.
-
"Worse than Legacy" Mhm...
Hot take here: The entire problem of the "grind" is very much exaggerated.
Especially for Survivors, who have it really easy all things considered. Killer is a different story since you're obligated to go through the unlock process on each and every killer, but Survivors just need to max out a single character and everything else is completely extra.
Bringing any one char to lvl 40 takes no effort anymore. It's not even fair to call it a grind. 50+ all perks takes effort. But if there's a BP event, you can still bring a character from Lvl 0 to P350 in about a week if there's an event going on.
Case in point: there's this one streamer who I love, but it never fails to me amaze me how he complains about the "grind" when a killer comes out because he wants every perk on said killers before he plays them... and yet without fail he has them all maxed out in under a week, in days even, and from there he simply dumps the extra BPs in his other lvl 50 characters for the next two and a half months.
That said, perk tiers are definitely obsolete at this point, considering they're constantly removing all but the tiniest percentages of variation in the tiers with every update.
-
Ever since they decided to synchronize console and PC releases out of 'fairness', we don't get hotfixes. It seems we'll have to wait until the mid-chapter update for any fix.
-
Summer is still not even 1/3 of the way over.
-
Literally invisible, too OP, nerf it again.
-
It's still a good perk.
Many of the people who trash it follow the logic of something "All the god-tier players don't need it, so if I don't use it, that means I'm good" If you're good at the game (i.e. you CAN translate the time in healing into extended time in a chase), Self-Care is a fine choice of a perk.
And one of my biggest peeves in the game nowadays are all the people running up to me while I'm on a gen and begging me to heal them because they think they're too pro to run Self-Care but, whaddayaknow, they still want to be healed. And so we have to have TWO people not doing the objective.

is self care really that bad? tbh after 490 hours of me playing this game i'm starting to doubt self care's effectiveness. is there any replacement you recommend?
No. "Self-Care bad/crutch" is nothing but a meme. There's a reason it's still the #1 perk at R1 and it's not just because R1 is full of potatoes.
As for the topic:
Urban Evasion.
Though of course, No Mither is also usually worthy of a dirty look.

We're literally not even a 1/3 of the way into Summer, and I don't think they ever promised anything earlier than August.

@Science_Guy small detail but the ashy slashy changes the clown mori to ash other hand
Oh, was that one of the changes they patched in? I searched for a video after reading this thread, and saw one of the Clown awkwardly mori'ing the puppet. I suppose that's outdated, then.
-
First Meg to 40, then Claudette to 40. After that it'd be Bill to 40 simply because of BT/Unbreakable and that would cover all the essentials. I'd P350 Claudette, then Meg, and anything else would be about how much I like whatever character when I need to dump points (so I'd do Dwight and then w/e after that).
-
"And with ash came the first cosmetic that actually changed a killer mori"
Wait... what? Did I miss something?
-
Months later and I still don't understand how anyone can answer Dwight.
-
Congrats to the winners, they worked hard and it paid off.
I am surprised by these choices, all the same.
