Did you miss the part where killers get basekit mori, regardless of hook states?
What's to stop a killer from slugging Survivor A, B and C, and then downing Survivor D which triggers the finisher Mori and ends the trial?
It's easy to see how, without anti-slugging measures in place, you could end up in a very unfun situation.
That implies that a killer can down 4 survivors in 45 seconds. For that to happen, you'd need max stacks on STBFL, and for each survivor to make the maximum amount of mistakes possible in a chase, and all of that needs to happen in 45 seconds before the first survivor downed gets back up. And that's not even taking into account the cooldown for a killers successful attack, a survivors sprint burst after being hit, pallets, windows, and any other shenanigan that might happen during four consecutive chases.
So NO, its is most definitely "easy" for such a thing to happen. I'd even go as far as saying its next to impossible.
-
Getting a basekit unbreakable seems a bit much. I wish each use of this basekit unbreakable cost a hook state. That way, there would be a risk/reward to it. If everyone else want to stay on gens instead of picking you up, they can, but at a cost

How many gens did it costs tho ;'(
Sadly, 3. But I was playing as wraith with two speed add-ons, so I was able to maintain time semblance of pressure

We've all see a recent bandwagon of these streamers protesting DBD for a supposed cheater epidemic.
I'm sorry, but this isn't affecting the community as a whole. A recent poll on Reddit showed that a overwhelming majority have not seen an increase in cheaters and most people have only seen 1 or 2 cheaters in thousands of hours of gameplay.
You all have been making some great improvements in the last few years, please keep going and don't get distracted by the few who are abusing their influence for their own personal gain. Please do what benefits the entire community, not the 1%.
So basically, "its not effecting too many people, so the devs should just ignore it for now."
No. Just.....no.
The Devs need to jump right on this before a tiny problem snowballs into a massive one, rather then just wait for the problem to become to big to ignore.
Even implying that this shouldn't be dealt with right away is a fairly braindead take

Do you think that Nemesis need any buffs? I think the zombies need some tuning, so that they're not stuck somewhere behind a tree or a wooden framework.
Buffs? No. An add-on pass? Absolutely
-
It's too weak at the moment. Buff it to a full 60 seconds and make everyone scream once it activates, and then we're having a conversation
-
I don't think killers need anymore universal buffs, but some killers definitly need some help. Twins, for example
-
If there are two words I dread being heard by survivor players, it's "unfun" and "boring". Whenever either words are used by survivors players, that means a nerf to something is coming....

Ooh this one is kinda tough. I'm never against new chase music, but, hmm... I am pretty attached to the original chase music. Although, according to Samination, the Trapper wrote his own music, and I personally feel it is only fair to allow him to use what he would like to lol
Any Trapper chase music that isn't "Here comes the Trapper" is a non starter, and shouldn't even be considered

He's in a decent place for the most part, but there is absolutely no reason he should have a 32 meter TR instead of a 24 meter TR
-
The most common choice in the fandom is to have every blink after the first count as a special attack while the first counts as a basic. So thats probably the best you're ever going to get.
However, lets say that the Devs actually make all blinks special attacks. That's not the type of nerf The Nurse can get without some kind of buff to compensate for that shes losing: the ability to hit any basic attack outside of incredibly rare circumstances.
SO, I want to hear this. If you have your way and all blinks count as special attacks, what buff are you willing to give the Nurse in return? Because if your answer is "none", then the answer to this Nurse nerf is smiply "no"

it poses zero threat only if its used in a deadzone. The ISSUE is the fact it ruins looping.
It's designed, from the ground up, to counter powerful windows. And in that regard, its does its job well.

This is not happening needs a major buff. It’s the most outdated perk in dbd.
It needs just a small rework

Have we really gotten to the point where survivors are complaining about Bamboozle, of all perks???
-
I'm actually surprised it took 6 years for Adrenaline to finally get a hard counter. Everything should have a counter in DBD. There's no reason why Adrenaline should be a special exception
-
Now I can't stop seeing it as a bamboo shot in the rain. thanks a lot

I assume this is meant to be about bodyblocking, right? But even in those scenarios, just hit the guy bodyblocking then evaluate who the most vulnerable target is. Worst case scenario is you get a Mend slowdown out of the guy you had to hit, it's really not that big of a deal.
It's not "then we'll talk", just don't tunnel if they aren't bodyblocking, and if they are bodyblocking just handle it. Neither are difficult or game-ending.
Then i don't want to hear a single complaint from the bodyblocker when/if we just choose to down and hook them again if they decide to bodyblock. Not a single one
-
@jesterkind said:
Have you tried chasing someone that wasn't unhooked in the last ten seconds?
Have the unhooked survivor completely lose collision with the killer for the duration of their endurance. Then we'll talk
-
I still want an ultra rare addon for the Deathslinger that removes the chain entirely and allows you to shoot the spear mapwide, but at the cost of a 4 second reload.
-
They mentioned a while back that The Twins was the next killer getting looked at. Might finally be her turn
-

After all gens are done, he gains access to his rocket launcher with a single rocket. It wan be aimed like the deathslinger's gun and the rocket will fly at the speed of a fully charged huntress hatchet. Any survivor within 3 metes of the blast radius goes into the dying state..
-
Yeah, survivors should really lose collision after an unhook for a few seconds, and I question the sanity of anyone who thinks they shouldn't
-
Lets be real, calls for Nurse Nerfs won't stop until she's loopable. Then survivors will move on to the next thing they find "unfun" or "Boring to play against". So the blight will definitely be next on the chopping block
-
I could see such a perk if it were once per game. But as an exhaustion perk? No, absolutely not. There are far too many powerful windows.
-
@Shroompy said:
Honestly I think it just needs a range increase
Not too much tho I would say 32m at most.
because all boons have a 24 meter range.
I say raise the speed bonus to 5 percent. If your gonna run the killer near the totem to begin with, might as well make it worth it, since the killer would break it at earliest possible convenience
-
Have we actually gotten to the point where survivors are complaining about the DOCTOR, of all killers?? God, it never ends
-
I'm starting to think that survivors wont stop asking for nurse nerfs until she's loopable
-
Starting to think that the requests for nurse nerfs won’t stop until she’s loopable.
so, when nurse is gutted, likely followed by blight and spirit, how long until survivors find a new killer to say is “unfun” and “boring”?
-
@Archvile said:
The simple and obvious answer to this is that there's 16 survivor perks and only 4 killer perks in a game. Killer perks need to be qualitatively better, while survivor perks make do with quantity instead of quality.
This is what we call a home run answer

Until Dawn and FNAF are my dream chapters. I would add slenderman, but getting the rights to that are such a massive nightmare that would make the F13 license blush

Ultra rare addons are always a flip of a coin. Either they are amazing, or complete butt.
Dredge's Ultra rares land in the complete butt category
-
This may be an unpopular opinion but......not all killers are meant to be easy to go against. Some are meant to be challenges. Some are meant to be feared
Pinhead had the undisputed best 4v1 game in dbd, but only if you let him have it. If you're in solo que and no one else is concentrating on the lament configuration, then take it upon yourself to be that person. Yes, this means you'll be chased alot, but at least Pinhead won't get the best part of his power.
Pinhead is working exactly as intended.
-
I'd love it if one of the deathslinger's ultra rares removed the chain entirely and just let us shot the spear across the map but at a cost of a four second reload. It would introduce a brand new gameplay style for him
-
I got to be real, Septic Touch is a pretty butt. Your scenario with the pig isn't bad by any stretch, but it seems like you're going through a great deal of work just to make a mediocre perk less mediocre

punishing players for playing with their friends is straight up cruel and you gotta take into account that not all players have thousands of hours and not all SWFs are in comms what are your thoughts on this though personally i find the swf nerf debate to be confusing
Then the only (and I mean ONLY) alternative is 1) finding a way to bring solo que to SWF levels, and 2) buff every single killer in the game to SWF level

So the ptb patch notes just released, and sadly we are not getting any nerfs to camping or tunneling, yet again. These cheap and skillless strategies will continue to be way to effective for the little effort required, and survivors continue to be at the mercy of killers to not camp and tunnel.
I wonder how long BHVR is going to not address this issue. Killer queue times will continue to be problematic most likely, and understandibly so. Who wants to go against such cheap and unfun strategies?
Please, BHVR, do something against these strategies. Killers were buffed in numerous ways, and are more viable now in general. Now it's the survivors time to get something in return. You have to nerf camping and tunneling properly, so they aren't the go to easy way out strategies for killers anymore, now that killers have been buffed. It's ridiculous.
I do not know any other online game that has such cheap, unfun, and skillless strategies be so effective. Can't even think of anything that comes close to this. It's ridiculous.
I am really hyped about this new chapter, and can not wait to play Wesker. But the prospect of 10 minute killer queue times just to play Wesker really dampens my excitement to an extent.
Two Honest questions incoming regarding to camping and tunneling
1) Do you believe that each survivor is entitled to three hooks per game?
2) Do you believe that each survivor, after being unhooked, is entitled to a reset in their game, meaning that after being unhooked, they should get some time to regroup and whatnot without having the killer come after them, since they were the last one the killer came after?

@RichardCarter said:
Since we're on the mood of Resident Evil with the new chapter, we shouldn't forget about Nemesis. Nemesis is a great killer and I personally like him, but one thing that's almost unanimously agreed on is that his add ons have a lot of really, really bad ones.
The only good add ons are ones that increase mutation rate (and those were nerfed). It's argued if making zombies move faster or have better FOV are good add ons (personally they can be if you combine them).
But the majority of them are just almost largely useless. I've been making fun of Licker's Tongue ever since I first saw it. Increases time of being Hindered after being Contaminated for an additional 0.2 seconds. ...they gain a speed boost.
I hope that BHVR, maybe during the next mid-chapter, does something to make his add ons more impactful than they are right now.
he desperately needs it. 85% of his addons are complete butt

Perhaps for a second Silent Hill chapter? The opening level in SH3 is a favorite of mine

1.) Fair enough. Still even with both addons and Distressing, you still cannot cover all of the biggest maps like red forrest. But you should easily be covering 4-5 gens, thats for sure.
2.) DMS is now down to 30s, I'm not sure but I think Blast is more like a minute. If you hold on to it until you hook someone, you can proc DMS instantly, sure, but I'm usually not that patient, but will blast whenever I'm relatively sure to hit more than one person. So there's a good chance (at least for me), that my blast is not ready after a hook ^^.
I have played neither Artist nor Doc with DMS recently, I guess I'll have to check it out again (not sure if I EVER played Doc with it, now I think of it). Let's just conclude, that both can utilize it pretty well. And who's better at it than the other is really not that important :).
Agreed. Good chat. Nice and polite, as all good discussions should be :-)
