Apparently you never play survivor. If someone hangs on the hook someone will come to the rescue. The rescuer will replace the person on the hook.2.The person who is hooked will either save one of the remaining 2 survivors or the person who is hooked on the first hook will save.DS will be passive if the first hooking up saves.DS is not active in the other two survivors already. So basement means free serial hook.
This is what is known as hook trading, something survivors do to alleviate pressure from their teammates. Essentially, you save a teammate from death hook and waste more time for the killer by using your hook state. Usually it's best done with Deliverance in case the killer tries to go after the freed survivor.
But anyway, there are still ways to counter this. BT was buffed so it works against Insidious so use the BT body-block trick, Kindred can also work to keep your teammates from suffering your fate, Head On since there's a locker in the basement, and of course, locker DS still works. Also as a general survivor rule, avoid the basement at all costs unless it's below the shack

The current version and the suggestion listed above have basic attack restrictions. Also, Feral Frenzy doesn't count as a basic attack.
That's what I meant. No basic attack restriction but you need to down someone

Wouldn't that be a nerf though? Gearhead normally activates when you hit the same survivor twice, or two different survivors once.
I didn't say it needed a basic attack restriction. It's just to prevent Legion from activating it so easily
-
I don't know about Gearhead. I personally think it should just activate whenever you down someone
-
Sure, why not I guess

The problem with this idea is that believe it or not, water physics is hard to do right. Have you seen Cyberpunk water physics? I'm pretty sure DbD's devs can somehow do worse than that

I’d say no, but I can’t actually give you a reason why. It just feels appropriate to me to have it that way.
Thematic purposes I assume since being unhooked fills a survivor with hope? Well let me tell you that self-unhooks require the survivor to hope that they're lucky, meaning that there is hope to devour from it
-
Everyone, OP said that the entire team can only break one hook. Just one hook out of all the hooks for the entire game can be broken (Because you know, the hook that was broken previously regenerates after another Breakdown). It's less detrimental than an entire team burning petrified oak offerings and it's certainly a lot better than old sabo. Did any of you even read the post?
-
Wait, I have a question. Why exactly is this thread on feedback?

in a recent QnA I think it was twins chapter they were asked about more features for custom games and they basically said too little people use it so they arent going to focus on it. They did say that it doesnt mean nothing is coming but I do think nothing is coming and they just said that for the sake of making sure people dont flip out over customs being dead or some dumb #########
What a cruel world we live in
-
There aren't exactly any objectives in the basement besides the chest. You can't even sabo the hook. How exactly did you lose DS in the basement?

That is one of the bugs I’ve been trying to work out. I’m not sure if it is necessary to limit the killer’s build. Maybe, as long as it didn’t lead to killers not playing the mode because of it.
An idea I have is to over-buff obsession perks or at least obsession switching perks so that even when you're forced to use those perks, it's still okay

Since No Mither has been the perk that no one uses, I would like to give some suggestions that can maybe help bring the perk more useful. With nothing erasing, make player be able to recover while running, the recovering speed can be 40/50/60 sec. each level. I believe it can be a balance perk since the player uses No Mither can get downed with only one hit. Therefore adding a overpowering ability can help shift the playstyle. Ofc the recovering speed can be slower for the sake of balancing.
There's already been many ideas just like this one for No Mither. As long as the speed is only a quarter of normal exhaustion recovery speed then I'm fine
-
The Predator change gives it more utility and it gives Babysitter or Dance with Me more utilities though I'm kinda worried about its interaction with Spirit
Too many abilities for Unnerving Presence. Just pick 2 and call it a day
Beasts of Prey is basically Dark Devotion but more powerful. Just give the undetectable ability to it
-
Here's something to make this concept more interesting. Weeping Angels can't move while in the LOS of ANYthing including other angels. It would be pretty cool to give survivors an extra win condition in which they need to lead every angel into staring at each other.
Also SCP-173 as a skin because Secret Laboratory hasn't broken me yet
-
Oh boy you're gonna love SCP-847

The coin's effect doesn't have to go, I like the idea, it's just it being an ultra-rare that doesn't feel right. I'd like it to be part of the basic kit, they could even add different coins:
Copper: reduce the distance by 1 m.
Silver: reduce it by 2m.
Gold: reduce it by 4.
Iridescent: Reduce it by 5
Non-stackable.
This idea I like. I really just want a replacement for the TR add-ons because they're utterly terrible

Yeah I think I once said that new OoO will ruin current Distortion. Would be nice if we could regain tokens

Regression Tiers:
The Shape begins the trial in tier 1.
Each survivor begins the trial with 15 energy.
The Shape stalks at a rate of 1 evil energy per second.
After stalking a total of 10 evil energy from survivors, he unlocks tier 2.
The Shape can quickly press (tap) the secondary ability button to switch between tier 1 and tier 2. Any evil energy gained through stalk contributes only to progress towards unlocking tier 3.
In tier 1, he moves at 4.2 m/s with a moderately shortened lunge (20%) and is undetectable.
In tier 2, he moves at 4.6 m/s with a slightly extended lunge (10%) and a terror radius of 24 meters.
In tier 3, he moves 4.8 m/s with a moderately extended lunge (40%) and a 32 meter terror radius.
Once another 10 evil energy is collected, the secondary ability button can be pressed and held for 3 seconds to activate tier 3 for a maximum of 30 seconds.
Pressing the secondary ability button at any time during tier 3 will instantly end and any remaining progress is retained towards unlocking tier 3 again.
When the 8 or more Evil Energy is collected, going towards tier 3, a terror radius wide audio que is heard to survivors.
Additional buffs:
The Shape vaults windows 15% faster across in tier 1 and 2. In tier 3, The shape vaults 20% faster.
In tier 3, the Shape breaks pallets and breakable walls 15% faster.
In tier 1, spine chill and premonition does not detect the Shape.
Evil Energy and Stalking Nuances:
If there is an obsession, they gain 5 evil energy each time a survivor is hooked.
When a survivor dies, all leftover evil energy is distributed evenly between all remaining survivor(s).
Survivors on hook or in the dying health state cannot be stalked.
Collision is no longer lost when stalking.
Movement speed is 3.8 m/s (95%) when stalking.
Reasoning:
This allows for more variation and control for the Shape’s ability. Allow them to be an actual stealth killer while retaining their overwhelming snowball potential. Additionally, being able to prematurely cancel and willfully activate tier 3 will better improve the Shape as wasted tier 3 may lead to not having any late game pressure.
I kinda like your reasoning. Essentially, Myers becomes stealthy Oni
-
I mean, that's basically the Power Moves achievement for killers
-
I kinda like this idea
Too bad they won't ever add it due to fear of splitting the playerbase

Recovering from the exhaustion effect while running is too powerful. Put this with Vigil, in the hand of a good looper, you would take so much Dead Hard or Sprint Burst that you will have nightmares of it.
BUT, you can tweak the thing by doing that :
You recover from the exhaustion at a 15/20/25% rate of the normal recovery speed. (The max rate would be 50%, or it would be OP af).
I also want No Mither to actually rewards good loopers, without being totally overwhelming (like, if it is better to only have one health state and No Mither than having two health states, it would be a problem, No Mither should be a very hard perk to use).
This seems like a good idea. By the way, 50% recovery of most exhaustion perks means that any max level exhaustion from perks would deteriorate in 60 seconds
-
I think there was an idea someone had for moving hooks like the ones in meat factories in real life. I forgot which thread it was on though
-
The problem with this idea is that SWF can use it far better than solo can and the killer won't be able to do anything about the perk due to them lacking their own totem destruction mechanic. Also each survivor can have 4 perks. There are only 5 totems in the map. How would that work?
-
The problem with full color outfits is that it can be milked to oblivion by selling recolors of said outfit. Then again, that does increase the chances of this winning
-
I think I remember having an idea to just make gens in general more engaging to begin with.

Autodidact is an okay niche perk as is, and it's also the legion of survivor pipping - you get a notably higher emblem scoring when running autodidact builds in pub games.
Problem is it's outclassed by almost every healing perk in the game and it's only use is in anti-heal builds that don't involve Plague. I would really prefer increased skill checks on this perk
-
If you put it in the context of this game, it's essentially like a Billy add-on that gives him Bubba's chainsaw
-
I would rather have the aura reading of Better Together improved so that the benefits are mainly for you. For example, make it so that you can see the auras of other survivors in chase while fixing a generator. That's a good way to fix the sandbag issue on that perk
-
Balancing difficulty is another reason. Remember, each survivor can carry one item. If it's too powerful on its own, it can be abused
-
Yeah this achievement is painful to get. Trying to get it was the first time I got tilted by Trapper. I like your idea
-
The second one can be reworked so that Victor is removed faster when done by another survivor. That way you can force survivors to group up even more
-
I agree with this too I guess
-
I don't know. I kinda like the deafening effect. Plus terror radius on Hag doesn't usually matter due to her teleporting everywhere. I'd like it better if they just lose the ability to hear any kind of sound cues
-
Wait, how does the mechanic work specifically?

You wanna turn a game about survivors being chased by a killer into Dance Dance Revolution?
This K-pop chapter really was a mistake look at what it did to players.
Now I need someone to make a 5 win streak on DbD with kinect

If laceration meter could be reseted by normal healing, that wouldn't be a problem. But it goes down on it's own, during a chase.
Yeah, I think that's one of the buffs suggested for Trickster. I kinda want a killer that forces survivors to heal. Makes anti-heal viable which is pretty rare

when I say competitive, I don't mean bully squads in the gen pop. I mean like a tourney with rules such as the ones I implied. There are usually restrictions to keep oppressive meta perks from being overly abused
Those rules made Camaraderie, one of the worst perks in the game, meta for tournaments.
Anyway the mechanic should probably have that perk equipped since if the killer catches on and camps them, they can at least last a lot longer and waste more time. Replace Leader
-
There are 2 reasons I assume
One, people like getting value of their investment. They already risked so much running a perk that can be removed and it's demoralizing to see that it never helped you at all (Which is why Haunted Grounds is amazing. It makes me feel good)
Two, if survivors spread, one will probably get lucky and find the totem, even if it's not out in the open. Remember, there are 4 survivors walking around the map, possibly walking across various totem spawn points. One will eventually stumble upon a totem early on. It's basically probability and because of that, finding a HEX totem early on is not so hard and will probably not a waste too much time.
However cleansing all DULL totems takes good coordination and/or time which is why NOED actually works as anti gen-rush and why I want a totem counter on Small Game.

So give the killer 5 perk slots and survs a totem counter. Sound fair, in this forum, of course
After a while in this forum, I can no longer differentiate sarcasm. Can you give me a hint?

Wouldn't balancing around SWF hurt solos though?
Solo is gonna be buffed to be as strong as SWF so it should be fine. Remember, one of those buff ideas was a totem counter so this should be fine

While the concept of intelligent diseases is cool, AFAIK there's nothing to suggest that the plague itself is any more intelligent than any other disease on the planet.
Hell, I don't even know of any movies where the disease was particularly smart.

This.
They/their/them is constantly offered by the trans and non-binary crowd, mainly because the "did you just assume my gender?!" meme blew up so much that people actually think they're in danger of a hate crime for making an honest mistake in trying to guess someone's preferred gender.
SCP-2559 is a good example of an intelligent disease

Swap out Self Care for a medkit and Technician. It's faster that way. Even better, try out this product :

You should be complaining about Unbreakable instead. WGLF is fine because nobody ever bothers to pick slugged survivors up, both killer and survivor so having a perk that makes survivors want to do so is perfect.
-
Just make it so that you're notified about this perk when it activates. This perk is the reason why Calm Spirit is worth using
