Tricksters need def a... at least to his "main event" ability. So let's suppose he goes faster while n Main Event, that would make his main event more attractive to play with. Also, if he loses his main event, make it at least last for like 60 seconds, in which time you will have a lot of time to decide if/ when to use it.
Billy on the other hand, gets a lot of speed of his chainsaw, needless to say he can M1. About mindgaming pallets... I know where you're coming from but number 1) he still has some ability to mindgame with his M2 and number 2) Pallets are one of the only defenses survivors have aginst Billy.

If the killer was tunneling me? Always. If the killer went for someone else? Never.
I think it's in a better spot right now.

I hope many emulate your unrivaled style.
If you go for the achievement, be mindful that there' a bug that injuring with knifes doesn't count as winning a chase so you'll be an M1 for almost all the match, throw some knifes in order to win some points, try to get the first hit with your M1 and you can try to down them.

Yeah BHVR basically wants you to spend $500 on a new console just to get that nice and juicy 60 fps, also ignoring the console community with that promised 60 fps on PS4/Xbox One will always be something they just outright ignore. Because I don't see what's so hard of telling people they can't give us 60 fps..
Well... I mean, legacy outfits have been taken away for no reason and promised to come back and now they have stated they won't come back so... I am not a person who believes in BHVR's word.

i fixed my whole post to agree with you
I was like you, being honest love his gameplay of throwing knives... as I liked PTB legion with the multiple stabs mechanic... the killer is weak although the mechanic of throwing knifes is kind of fun and honestly he has potential to be a really fun killer if he gets buffed.

I am very sorry that happended to you but as many others have stated it's partially your teammates fault. I was trying to rescue someone with NOED active, the kiler was camping someone on the hook and the totem was near, then the killer came near to me so I couldn't finish. What was a Meg Thomas doing? Waiting on the exit gates so she could t-bag the killer... if as an example the meg thomas rescued the hooked survivor when he was distracted be me, the chances were likely that we could all escape together since the hooked survivor had DS.
So... I get that a tunneler Pig is indeed a bad moment and that is not the best strategy since I am a pig main but your teammates were at fault also.

One thing to keep in mind is that Self-Care also shuts down perks like Desperate Measures, Botany and We'll Make It. If the survivor trying to heal you has any of those perks, I think it's more efficient to let them heal you. Particularly We'll Make It.
Possibly Autodidact as well, though I'm not sure quite how that perk works.
Autodidact works with skill checks. The firsts two ones will give you a penalty on healing but if you go onwards, you get a lot of benefit from a single skill check.

Thanks for all your opinions - I've only been playing this game for a few weeks at this point, so I'm still working on levelling up my survivors and experimenting with different builds. I'm rank 11 at the moment. I think based on what people have said that it's one I might not use for now - though bear in mind I haven't unlocked all survivor perks (just David, Claudette, Jake and the first of Nea) so I am still limited in what I can use. I'm working on Meg at the moment and have been using Quick & Quiet, Balanced Landing, Empathy and Self-Care.
Self Care is not a bad perk but if a teammate wants to heal you, let them do that. Not only they get altruism points for the emblem but if the killer manages to find you within 32 seconds then you can take another hit.
Also... don't be the guy with the mentality "go and do gens" I was a red rank once... never anymore. The game is unfun if you "go and do gens", the fun aspect is the chase and to interact with other teammates.

Legion has a lot of short-comings while having strengths that aren't particularly amazing.
- He has no mobility. If you use Frenzy, you actually lose distance. So that's out the picture.
- Mending sucks. Legion is a slowdown killer, meaning he has to make people mend. And mending is literally just M1 holding without so much as a skill check.
- Legion has very little interaction. You straight-up cannot counter Frenzy in most cases. Legion is too fast and pretty much ignores looping for the initial hit. After that, he leaves to chain hits. Your skill as a survivor was irrelevant and now you're mending.
- Nothing in the 1v1. He is a very generic M1 killer with no downing potential. This is true for Wraith who is much less reviled, but Wraith at least has the urgency that a stealth killer naturally warrants. There are no fun gimmicks to play around.
- Deep Wound is a joke. Sure, mending is boring, but that's it. Just boring. There is little to no sense of real danger, making it more annoying than anything.
- Legion in Frenzy isn't terribly fast. 130% is enough to get a single hit in, but not enough to get a mass chain going if the survivor runs in a straight line away. All it does is contribute to Legion being seen as a joke to the community.
- Legion STILL has the brutal 4-second cooldown. Idk why, but it's still a thing. He's punished more for misses than the Nurse.
That said, he's still probably my favorite killer.
I never was able to get why people say with Frenzy you lose distance.
-
I'll use whatever I please, thank you for understanding.

There kind of is, having huge parts of your screen blurred at all times is incredibly annoying while livestreaming, you also have to have multiple parts of your screen blurred at a time because the name show up in different place, the lobby, in game & the end game screen. Honestly the dbd community is ridiculous because no other community goes after streamers as hard, especially considering there's literal legal talk in this thread arguing if you have the right to terminate content because your 3d model is in someone's game.
Genuinely so embarrassed by this community is not even funny
Almost no one live stream but record their own good plays but even so, you can do it, it's not that different to save a setting and change it every now and then.
About the legal discussion, I'd say it's rather healthy, as a third person you have the right of what you want others to show. It's like if a reporter start recording you, you have the legal resources to tell them to stop since you have not agreed to that. On internet there's the anonymous part but you still need some protection. You won't like me to sell some of your pics. Would you?
And yes, a game might sounds harmless in that aspect but it's not, many people have been harrassed just because their favourite streamer was killed by them and that is or it should be illegal.
-

Streamers, especially the big ones have been asking for a streamer mode that hides names for a while now, it's not like they want to show your stuff off.
Excuse me, but it's very easy to hide the part where the names are shown or make them blur... so actually, there's no excuse.
-
I am not good at the game but the most streamers I found, play as sweaty as they can and I don't like it. They bring the four meta perks, and all the meta items and they believe they're good at the game just for it. Being honest it doesn't take a lot to loop a killer and being "kissiong the wall" it means your circles are reduced compared to the killer ones. I had a match against a huntress and I swear that I was winning distance by looping her, so whether we like it or not, survivors has a small model and smaller colition so even if a killer "kiss the walls" and due to the perspective the camera is in, they will struggle way more.
So no, I don't like it nor feel comfortable. I have many disabilities and people laughing to "that killer who can't hit" is people laughing at my disabilities, for me they're bad people, I am playing a game and trying my best with what the life gave to me, I don't care if I lose but being a (bad word) with me just because you have won it shows you how you're as a person.

You can avoid a pallet/flashlight save with any killer. That shouldn’t be a main talking point of a killer’s power lol
You're right but not so right at the same time, I have had many flashlight saves when they were literally at my back. And the pallet save... well, if you're already pressured in time, sometimes you have no time to look at the sides where a cage can save you time.
-
@woundcowboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2015528#Comment_2015528
His power is too easy to dodge. You might as well just play nurse.
Cages really don’t give you much. You can’t see where they are put and many times you actually just send them near a teammate. PH is a pointless killer.
But cages are there to save you time, not to avoid survivors being rescued. Caging someone you avoid DS/BT, you save the amount of time to go to a hook, you avoid a flashlight/pallet save, you avoid a survivor going to sabo the nearest hook.
-
T-bagging is unrespectful. Why? Because you're laughing at sportmanship, perhaps due to a boken mechanic or due to an unfair advantage, the so called exploits, those places a survivor can go and a killer technically should go.but is unable...
And yes, there are indeed many mechanics that can be abused... tht's why DS is going to get a change as an example (thankfully).
It's not about other people's feeling or something, it's because your own lack of sportmanship, it's like asking. What's wrong with hook farming? There are things who are wrong and things who are right, you might think "I don't think X is bad" but that doesn't make it right. On Argentina many use to laugh at racism issues. Does that mean it is right? No. And of course, those people don't think they're doing a bad thing.

But the devs don't want to take those options away from people. They've said it adds unpredictability to the game to allow the things that you're referring to as "unfair."
The devs designed the game this way on purpose so killers can play nice or they can tunnel and camp, both are viable options. And they designed the survivor role so that players can choose to play as a team or play selfishly. On the DbD Steam page it's listed as one of the game's features: "Survive Together… Or Not - Survivors can either cooperate with the others or be selfish."
"The devs designed the game this way on purpose so killers can play nice or they can tunnel and camp, both are viable options"
Laughs in losing BP due to camp.
So being honest, the game is not designed in that way, you're forced to play in certain way to earn more BP or pips... so no, if you want to play optimally, you need to have certain knowledge of what thing gives you the most BP and to avoid those who take BP from you...
Sidenote, a surivor doesn't have ways to "lose BP's", you can say that an unsafe rescue will make you depip but still you'll earn the points for rescuing another survivor whereas a killer indeed has a penalty on BP earnings when camping.

Well okay thx for the info, I most certainly didn’t know that.
Don't you worry and sorry. I can get kind of passionate about this subject. There are many missconception towards some words, people using racism when there's xenophobia. As an example, I am argentinian and argentinians are very xenophobic, meaning prejudice towards nationality in the meanwhile the media use racism which it's prejudice towards skin color. Of course, both should be avoided but I am very passionate about using the right word and addressing each problem as it is.

I wouldn’t call that discrimination though, choosing who to be friends with doesn’t mean you automatically discriminate those that you actively not befriend. you can still accept and respect them as normal people.
Discrimination as the spanish definition say it's "picking to exclude", so if you pick your friends and you don't befriend others, you're picking to exclude them to your friend group, it's discrimination. There's a difference between discrimination and prejudice, someone can discriminate since discrimination is just excluding someone now if you do it because you have a prejudice like a problem just because his skin, sexual orientation (racism and homophobia) then that's when there's a problem. Discriminating is an act so there's no harm done in discrimination but prejudice shows a bad mindset.

Yes, discrimination is... something normal whether some people like it or not. We as humans discriminate all the time, from our tastes to our friends. Perhaps you won't think on befriending someone like me and that's discriminating but you're entitled to that.

And what's making you believe that BHVR will do it in the style of "look we added a gay"? If you look to the other lore (with the exception of Frank x Julie in the tome because theirs is atrocious), we have:
Sally Smithson came to town with dreams of children's feet and laughter in a wooden home built by her husband Andrew.
This for the Nurse, the only time Andrew is mentioned as her husband, and he isn't mentioned again in her bio. In the tome, we again have subtle mentions, not "LOOK AT THIS STRAIGHT CHARACTER GUYS!!":
Andrew sits next to her on a blanket, his blonde hair nearly white in the sun. She wears the dress he had bought her. A symbol of my love, he had written on the card, and for a man of few words it meant many.
Tighter, she holds Andrew's wrist, pressing her head into his shoulder and bracing herself. An immense tree slams to the ground behind her, sending twigs and dirt into the air. One after another, they come down in booming, ground-shaking jolts. Sally coughs through a cloud of dust, keeping her grip on Andrew the entire time.
Memory 911
Eventually, Felix's girlfriend announced that he was going to be a father.
Felix's bio. This is the only mention.
His ex has moved on and she doesn't want to see his face.
Memory 342. This is the only mention of David's ex.
What makes you think they'll do it any differently for an LGBTQ+ character?
I know what you're trying to say but looking at the world how it is now... Well, let's say I get a bit defensive about it.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1985049#Comment_1985049
Bro how can you not get this?
The point of representation is to show and validate LGBTQ+ people as normal people. And that's what the survivors are, they're just normal people taken by The Entity. It doesn't discriminate based on sexuality or race or gender or sex.
It would be good representation because, okay cool they're going through an eternal cycle of death and rebirth but so are the straight people. And like I said before it'd show them as just normal ######### human beings, which is all we want from said representation. Normal people.
Excuse me but the way to say they're normal people is not to put a gay and say "look, we added a gay" and I am a gay man, but to add a man and casually say "yes, he had a lovely husband"... I am all for representation but you should know how to represent. Needless to say, I am disabled also so sometimes adding you to something just because you are in X way feels forced and weird.

the only official info we have doesn’t even say if anything LGBTQ+ will be added. The focus they are giving now is KPop/music, neon lights and a char who wears extravagant clothes, is involved in some kind of entertainment business and likes to drink coffee.
Gay insinct. :)
-
You know what affects me and get into my nerves? Diversity for the sake of being diverse... I am gay but I am tired of the people being diverse just for the sake of being diverse and then they fall into stereotypes or people who are there just because they are gay/lesbian... not lore wise. I mean, let's suppose Felix or any character in-game. Let's supose they belong to the LGBT+ group. Does it bother? No, because they have already a lore assigned to it. And the chapter was not "we are including a gay character" but "we are including a handsome german man who is also gay", I mean the main focus is not their sexuality but this upcoming chaapter is just focused ON IT.
-
It's better than before but I still think it needs some work... I don't know. I think the portaits doesn't really fit with the aesthetic of the game... I mean, you have the character portait but if you have the same survivor into dying state, it changes to the previous dying icon which personally I think they fits more in the aesthetic.

So 2 guys who wasted time on looking for chests and were lucky enough to get 2 flashlights? That's ok for me because they weren't working on gens.
Also, if that ever happened to me i just need to be smart enough to get rid of the guys working on gens first. Once there are only 2 left they can't do the flashlight/locker tech anymore because no one else would be working on gens. It's called "playing smart" :)
Nah. Basically you're saying "it's uncontereable so I have to do something else". If you let it go, then they will work on gens while you're not chasing them. Even if you do kill the other two, you'll need to hook at least one of them in order for the hatch to appear, yes, perhaps no gens would be done but they will be jumping in lockers until their flashlights run out.

You shoud have added the dev's answer
Devs: We are so happy and excited of the amount of positive feedback that we are implimenting it right away. I hope console players can keep it up with how much love we are showing to them.
-
Well, I mean, it's a game and it's supposed to be enjoyable. I don't suicide on hooks and it is annoying indeed but it's their time and no one is going to give their time back so... That's up to them.
-
Yes, they do. I do agree that DH is a great perk to avoid some situations but thtere are many survivors that put themselves in those situations because they rely on DH. Also, the perk is supposed to be used to avoid a hit, not to stun a killer, meaning the perk is a defensive perk, not an attack one.
-
Well. I can see where everyone is coming from when they have been ignored through years and if I remember, I can quote someone saying "go play civilization V" so after years, and I really mean it with the word years, of being treated like garbage, people get angry and frustrated.
I am not saying devs are heartless people or anything, they do have feelings as well and if they're willing to take a first step in the right direction. Why not? Of course, that won't erase how they treated the community in the past (I am not saying the community is the warmest either) but if they start doing this, perhaps the community will come back at the game. Anyway the game needs something new and fresh.

Well, nerf means something is less powerful so in fact it's a nerf. A deserved one but a nerf indeed.
-
Well, changing the meta in survivors so they need to do something in order to earn it. Deliverance as an example, you earn a free hook but you need to safely rescue someone before. Also buffing non-used perks.
As an example, Dead Hard once can be used if you took a protection hit instead of just earning it by existing, it also has sense with David King's lore (I am not saying that Dead Hard should only by earned by this way, it was just an example)
Adrenaline should be earned if YOU helped with the match progression, if you are a Blendette. Why do you need to be rewarded for the other survivors effort?
DS, I think DS needs to last fewer seconds. Something like PGTW would look good on DS
The meta might change a bit in that way.
-
It was once but not now. If it weren't by the rift I doubt I'll ever play it, I have better things to do with my free time than dealing with 13 year old kids bullying another person. I am not saying I don't play at all but the same style over and over again, it becomes boring, if there were events like before then you could say "nice, something is different" but the only different thing is new perks that are not that good and if they are good then the new meta switchs and face a lot of survivors/killers just running those meta perks.

They were distracting and stopping the killer so the rest have time and no pressure to do the gens.
The spirit had the option to leave and look for the other 2 survivors, leaving the SWF for last without chances of escaping if they kept doing that, and she kept trying by her choice.
By your logic, slugging would be also grieffing and harassing, except that in this scenario the killer is free from being stopped.
They were? Let's suppose Spirit ignored them and chased us. What would happen when we were killed? Obviously they would take the game hostage until their flashlights get consumed, other than that if they were the only two remaining, spirit would be forced to either let their flashlights be consumed or let them go. And please, now let's talk about people with seizures, being blinded every minute is not healthy even.
