Please tell me that one of the balance team is a killer main and the other is a survivor main. Somehow I need this.
No clue, I'm positive one of them is almo though.

Which, I can't help it but, I find absolutely hilarious.
Yeah, he even beat the hatch. I don't think I've seen such a comeback, maybe like 3 years ago or something. That wraith must be god in disguise.

Absolutely agree. Trapper is just so satisfying to play as I can't stop playing him!
I love it when you put a trap you think wouldn't work and it catches a survivor. So good!
Those are the best. I love it when 2 or more step on a trap at the same time.

I'm super jealous. Trapper is right up my alley in terms of gameplay, I love being a cunning killer, but I cannot for the life of me enjoy playing as him. I just cannot stand his 1 base trap capacity, especially since he has so many good add-on combo's outside of Bags. I'm always going "well, that would have been nice if I had an extra trap."
It doesnt help that I started my trap-killer journey with Hag :(
I'm sorry man. I rarely play trap killers (Unless you count Freddy and PH) so I don't have many expectations. It does get annoying when I'm staring at a setup but just can't do it cause Trapper has small hands.
-
2, I don't have the post but a dev said something along the lines of "I make up half the balance team".
-
I meant to vote for "Survivors Can Have As Many Second Chance Perks As They Want", turns out I'm stupid. I'm not a fan of telling people how to play.
-
I'll lift a couple from my F13 concept chapter.
Survivor
Last Ditch Effort: Sometimes you have to decide when to stand up for yourself. Pressing the active ability button will have you block. If a Killer attacks you while blocking they will be stunned for 1/1.5/2 seconds and you will not be damaged. This perk exhausts you for 60 seconds.
Killer
Getting Started: You know how to keep a low profile. You will be undetectable for the first 60/90/120 seconds of the match. "Where the hell did he even come from?"-Unknown

If it's the new leatherface he'll eventually burnout, but if this is old leatherface then yeah it's kinda a no go. Stinks for the camped survivor but ya did what ya could.
I tried, apparently he was running an extra charge and recharge addons. I decided it was better to try gen rushing.

Her dash is not useless at all. 80% of Pig players dont even use it so people think its awful. There is a huge difference when going against a pig who uses her dash at loops and a pig who doesn't. Her dash is incredibly strong at loops.
I've been having a lot of fun mindgaming with it. Its like Ghost Face with slower startup and longer lunge.
-
@Heartbound said:
If someone had borrowed time they could have gone in and unhooked the survivor during the M1 cooldown, but like everyone else said the best thing you can do is pump out gens. The thing about doing bones really is that if you can't find that last totem that's the one that's going to light up because it's the only one left. If you leave easy to find totems alone you'll find NOED faster.
I did have borrowed time, when I tried to get close he stopped m1ing and started revving the chainsaw, he didn't even try to chase.

@Blueberry said:

That's understandable, but for future games if it's ever a camp fest you should just rush gens.
I'll keep that in mind, Thank you!
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
I wouldn't have cleansed totems at all. Slowing down for any reason in a camping situation is too risky. Might've been 2 escapes from the gate if you had played it that way. Alternatively, you can test your luck and run Detective's Hunch and pray that you get a NOED killer. Probably 2 escapes that way as well, but I don't know for sure because I didn't see the match and where the totems all spawned in it.
I'll keep that in mind for next time, thank you!
-
@Blueberry said:
Ignored the totems and finished the last gen. If he facecamped that hard then you still had almost all the pallets on the map left up so easy loops while the other teammates rescues and opens the gate. Or he just stays at the guy on the hook while y'all both open the gate and leave. You gave him that second kill for free by looking for totems.
Thats fair, I just didn't want to deal with NOED. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
-
Thank god someones talking about this. I like hearing what people like Otz and Scott have to say but if someone sends me one more video with no other context and says something like "They've done this for how long, I think they know a little more than you do pal!" I'm gonna lose it.

Combat straps and video tape are the best add-ons. They make the dash much more usable on loops and during chases.
Last will and crate of gears is nice for extra slowdown.

John's Medical File, Combat Straps and Video Tape for ambush.
Gears, Tampered Timer and Annointed Plan for trap shenanigans.
Last Will for extra traps.
Nothing else is worth running.
@TKTK said:
Tampered timer and Crate of gears can be stupid for survivors to deal with but it's all luck based.
@MeatBycicle said:
Combat Straps, everything else is just filler imo. Even Video Tape isn't that good because it can mess up your muscle memory if you play her a lot.
Amanda's Letter can be very fun on indoor maps you force, like Lerry's, The Game, Hawkins.
@darktrix said:
Rigged timer is okay - especially if they just feel like knocking out gens and want to deal with the RBT after...that could cost them.
I rarely use ambush - so whatever helps slow down the game is best to me. Even though it is at the mercy of RNG anything that buffs your RBT- the Crate of Gears that slows down searches, followed by anything that adds more Jigsaw boxes or RBT is the best imo.
The add=ons that increase the chance of skill check just suck. Most of her add=ons actually suck.
@Heartbound said:
A garbage can and a garbage can lid. o_o
For a serious answer I'd say I'm fond of the tampered timer that shortens the trap timer and the add on that makes 5 jigsaw boxes spawn.
Thanks guys! I'll keep with tampered timer and try combat straps and the others.

Its not reportable, I wouldn't even say its a dick move, he let yall finish 95% of the game and you still got 4ked?
-
I hate having 2+ kills stolen from me with keys. And I hate waiting 20 minutes for a match just to get morid in the first 2 minutes.
-
I love the creativity here, but I got a few problems with them. Angelas Knife is fine, it works great for mindgames. Radio sounds cool, but the skill checks don't do much, I think it'd be better if it also extended his TR, but thats a minor complaint. Obsidian Goblet doesn't seem very good, since you rarely need to be stealthy after hitting someone, especially since it only activates with PotD. Great Knife also seems bad as infinites are super easy to pull off with 100%, I think it'd be better if he moved at 105% and passively left RoJ trails as he walked. I still love it!
-
I'd go with Thana. Since legion is so good at injuring people.
-
I feel like tunneling is a bad word, as it implies your going out of your way to go after them. In a lot of cases its more so just thinking the best course of action is to commit to the chase, when it really isn't. I feel like over committal is a better word for it as it doesn't have the stigma tunneling has. I still agree with this post 100% otherwise.
-
Trapper, if only so I can impale myself with hooks.

This is one of the few instances where I actually feel bad for the Devs. All killers need to be playable at the highest level (rank) in all situations (vs SWFs) and be viable (able to win not just limp through being kicked in the balls for 5 minutes) - they currently are not.
Most add-ons are web filler and useless, some are worse than useless and actively nerf you. While others are absolutely required and should be base kit.
They created a system that is impossible to balance. When they sent out player surveys a month or so ago this is one of the things I mentioned.
Thats true, hopefully the devs will be able to replace it later down the line.

I think Nurse's green and above add ons suck since her rework. Don't get me wrong, the add ons that gave 4X needed to go but most of her add ons now are useless. The only good ones are things that reduce cd, increase distance, reduce fatigue duration. The rest I just flat out would not use.
"More blinks but can't go through walls" Whats the point then?
"Disables blinks but increases movement speed after hitting a survivor" Why turn yourself into an M1 killer?
"Only 1 blink but movement speed is increased" Again, why turn yourself into an M1 killer? Why even introduce add ons that remove your power in the first place?
I'll put her in.

no matter which way you look at it DS can get 2+ shots off faster:
ds:instant aims and fires (can instantly cancel at any time for no penalty)> huntress slow wind up for a signifigantly slower porjectile speed
ds:fires and if he misses he then has to reload but isnt forced to( can easily find a better time to eat the down time)= huntress has a window that must be taken right after every throw(cannot put it off)
huntress must reload at a locker at least after every 5th throw. DS can reload in the time it takes huntress to ready another hatchet after a throw and thus has 2 stuns where huntress has 3.
huntress is also a 110 killer thats not something huntress has on him
by small gaps i dont mean vaults i mean the gap is say the wooden I or L walls on rotten field that you can see through small parts of.
""Death Slinger doesn't need to reload after a shot to m1" Does Huntress?" i was refering to windows in which you cannot take any action. after huntress throws a hatchet she cannot take any actions for a window of time this is the time the shaft addons on huntress affect if that helps.
yeah you cant snipe over a corner as DS but you can snipe through a corner depending on map and your aim.
im not why you are talking aboutt he devs like they can do no wrong and dont make over or underpowered killers or heavily flawed choices.remember omega blink nurse? remember insta saw billy? remember instant nightshroud break ghostface? remember all past and current versions of legion?
I ain’t even gonna bother, if you wanna continue this argument reply to this dude.

Huntress is more lethal with her hatchet and a good huntress know when to wind up or not.
Deathsligner Aim Down Sights (ADS) takes 0.15 seconds, firing takes 0.5 seconds. The Speargun takes 2.75 seconds to reload. During Reload, Movement speed is slowed down to 60% of his default speed, causing him to move at 2.64m/s or 66%. Breaking the chain will stun The Deathslinger for 4 seconds. Successful Speargun hits cause a cool-down of 0.5 seconds. Missed Speargun hits cause a cool-down of 1.5 seconds. When he aim he's faster than Huntress by 0.22m/s.
-
Its so long so you don't get sniped across the map with very little indication.

I'd remove Spirit, Pig, Hag and Plague
Spirit - Regardless on the counters everything you do against good ones is a guess. Whether it's a blind guess or an educated guess you're still guessing most of the time against this killer. That isn't fun, that isn't counterplay and that's not an engaging way to play against a killer.
Hag - Fundamentally this killer is designed to camp - Mind you most people in the community play her wrong as she can be quite fun to play against. However she encourages camping which is boring over dealing with her in chase. She needs to be able to set up traps more actively and somehow discourage camping and she'd be fun.
Plague - Wasted potential / Should start over with this killer - Good concept but honestly the most efficient way to play this killer is tap a survivor with puke and hit them with m1 and play around that. It's more consistent and reliable instead of puking against good survivors because you'll waste so much time doing so with your power.
Pig - I'd go rework territory but this killer thematically needs so much I doubt it ever happens. Only licensed character in this game I'm disappointed with.
Don't really see a major reason to remove the rest of them. They just need rebalancing. Even the ones I mentioned I'm pulling at straws. Except Spirit I'd genuinely delete her from the game right now and not feel a loss at all.
Thats fair. This is only for fun, I am in no way advocating for half the roster to be cut lol.

Thats fair. I was so close to keeping Ghost Face just because of how much fun I have with him.

Death Slinger can't perform any action either after performing a shot because his hook has to slither back to him. Is his single shot better than a single one of Huntresses hatchets? Yes. Is it better if he has to reload whilst Huntress can shoot 4 more times? No. And DS is a 110 move speed killer and you think his m1 is easy to land after a shot? Is that a joke? How many times are you out of shots as Huntress? How many times are you out of shots as Death Slinger? And what small gaps are you referring to? Vaults? "Death Slinger doesn't need to reload after a shot to m1" Does Huntress? Death Slingers fast ADS time can get him a shot were Huntress can not, Huntresses multiple hatchets ensure she almost never has to be a 110 move speed killer who needs to reload to fire again, and can get her multiple hits without having to reload. And you can't snipe around a corner, it isn't nearly as wide to land a shot. Death Slinger is map dependent. Thats why whenever I see a DS they bring a Coldwin offering and not a Hawkins offering. Thats why when I play DS I use a Coldwin offering and not a Hawkins offering. The factor to balance out his worse chase potential is the shorter TR, did you think the devs just did that for shits and giggles?

as previously stated you can line up shots without ads'ing. huntress's minimum wind up and recovery is far longer than DS's instant aim and qick reload. DS is not map dependant he is just as good on indoor maps as he is on indoor maps primarily because on indoors maps there is a shortage of the critical waist level debris that would break his chain but on out door maps its easier to line up shots.
meanwhile huntress cant win against red rank survivors on indoor maps her extended warning of her hum and not being able to curve shots over walls in indoor maps makes her terrible on these maps
to summarize :
DS and huntress both have pros and cons with hit boxes without truly having anything over each other.(being able to attempt snipes as huntress from across the map is not better or worse than being able to hit injure and deep wound a survivor through a millimetre wide gap)
DS has no post shot wait time(huntress does)
DS has almost no weapon ready time(huntress does)
DS doesnt have to go a locker to reload and it takes less time
DS has no hum radius(huntress does)
DS isnt nearly as map dependent as huntress (as explained earlier in this post)
Aiming without Ads'ing is still aiming. And Death Slinger is totally map dependent, Your almost always better off with just going for the basic attack. DS has a small wait time post shot, and he can't shoot without reloading. And since when did Death Slingers shots curve?

To be fair, it isn't entirely impossible. It could be that SCP blackout made some kind of deal with the SCP foundation and they were able to get a different kind of license for it. If that is the case, then it is always possible for BHVR to make some kind of deal. I don't disagree with you though, an SCP killer would be pretty sweet.

I didn't actually take too much time to think about the power you provided, I think the story problem itself presents a big enough issue to disregard the idea entirely even without consideration to the power.
However,
Just looking at the power itself it doesn't look to be a very fun or unique concept. The entity itself looks like an M1 killer who can create a wall every 30 seconds, and it's not like as a survivor there's much counterplay to that it's either you run around any walls placed (which makes The Entity a pure M1 killer if you keep misplacing walls) or you get ######### over by a properly placed wall and there's not much a survivor can do about that.
Power 2 is just as bad if not worse because it's a passive ability, and as history has pointed out - previous examples such as Pre-rework Freddy or Pre Rework Doctor, passive is not fun. (Although there are still some lingering examples of killers with passive abilities or passive aspects to their abilities, these in my opinion require reworks just like the aforementioned killers [cough PLAGUE cough])
Don't mean to be a negative nancy and just crap all over the idea, but it is what it is, I'm just being honest.
Its fine, You make many a fair point. I got dared to make a concept based on The Entity and wanted to give the ability to control the map and represent the hope aspect of its lore. I can definitely see why it wouldn't work.

I don't know how they got away with it. Either that or their game is able to be distributed for free (I.E. pirating it is not illegal)
http://www.scpwiki.com/licensing-guide
In order for your derivative work to be kosher, you need to do two things:
1. Attribute the works that you're using to the wiki and to the specific author, if possible. For example:
682's Lovely Tea Party is based on "SCP-682" by "Dr Gears": http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-682
2. Add the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license (or CC-BY-SA for short) to the derived work. Doing this will release it under the CC-BY-SA license. Specific release statements may be found under the "For Specific Creator Types" tab.
Releasing it under the CC-BY-SA license means that people will be able to copy your work wholesale, and even sell it, provided that they properly attribute you and release their work under the same license.
Do not sell anything related to SCP-173. The image is not released under creative commons. Depending on the context, commercial use of this property may result in serious legal action against the seller.
See the final tab "A Word on SCP-173" for more information.
Damn, that really sucks. I spent so much time on this possibility, even named my account after it. Your right, it essentially means piracy is legal. Its all in the long version.

Basically this.
There is no reason to have the mastermind behind it all, actually be playable. That completely ruins the story and lore they've been setting up over the past 4 years.
If anything, if they ever did this, it would be as their very LAST chapter. Like, when DBD is finally on the decline and they no longer want or cannot feasibly continue to support the game. They make one final chapter, one final archives, tying loose ends and wrapping up the story as best as possible as one final hurrah and great finale to send off the game to be shelved in history (although they'd probably keep the servers running as long as they could). That is the only time this would ever work, and in every other case this would be a flat out bad idea, at the very very least from a story perspective. Which doesn't matter to everyone, but it does matter to a decent chunk of the playerbase myself included, and it certainly matters to the developers themselves.
And I can assure you, considering that they're investing time and money into a graphic overhaul and it is confirmed they are getting the game on next gen. consoles like PS5 and Xbox series X, that time isn't coming anytime soon.
So is the only problem the lore? And not a problem with the powers?

no the wind up takes ages with huntress and takes a while to cancel. deathslinger can do both instantly. you can line of shots before you ads as deathslinger. it doesnt matter that the reel in time takes awhile since you only need to complete it for injured survivors ie half your shots and you can choose these shot accordingly. the reload time is shorter than huntresses i beleive and you dont need to go anywhere to do it. the rest of what you said it just cherry-picking to make it seem like huntress isnt map dependent as hell
To start, I said lining up the shot, as in aiming, I said nothing about her being as fast with the wind up because its simply not true. And you passing over his problem downing at range is actually kinda sad, I can't tell you how many times I've stayed up because he failed to get the hit. Is Huntress map dependent? Absolutely. Is Death Slinger map dependent? Absolutely. Where did I say she wasn't map dependent? And while Death Slinger does reload faster, Huntress needs to reload after 5 shots, Death Slinger needs to reload after one shot. I don't feel like I need to explain the logic there.

I'm asking because "custom games" was the name of the mode before the full workshop came last year.
(Note: I'm probably taking a break from DbD for a bit. Played nightly since crossplay for 1 to 2 hours a session, and already getting a bit bored with the gameplay loop.)
Custom Games, Sorry. I wish the devs would focus on the matchmaking, we have the playerbase, the algorithm just sucks.

Funny thing. I followed it in the beta. But then Overwatch came out in May 2016. Now, I'm not a shooter guy. Although I play Borderlands nowadays, I didn't play shooters before 2016, and besides Borderlands have only played Overwatch and a short stint in Paladins.
My eldest son (now 27) got Overwatch for me as an early Father's Day gift because some friends and family were getting it and they wanted me to play. So, DbD completely fell off my radar until my now 10-year-old found out about it in 2017 and told me Myers and Freddy were in there (Freddy had just released).
I still resisted getting into yet another game until June 2018 when the Steam Summer Sale made it too tempting. But I want to play Killer since Survivor side just doesn't appeal to me. I tried it, but unfortunately enjoyed counselor in F13 a lot more than Survivor here. But until crossplay, could never get killer lobbies.
The same happened for me, I had my eye on overwatch before it released. But got caught up with Smash 4s DLC. I didn't join till custom games were introduced.
