I think kicking gens should be more powerful.I don't think so.
It's already kinda strong in a sense, the issue comes from something else, that is mostly the lack of empathisis to not camp, and I doubt a slight buff to gen kicking would change anything about this. They need to rework maps, possibly put a few gens behind secondary objectives, aka doors and objects to move, that would take time/ressources to achieve, so it would actually take more time for survivors to unlock "safe gens", while they could still gen rush against most campers.

While the tournament sure was a huge disappointment for Marth and his team, these are clearly not the only reason for him to leave. He might actually play the game again, as he posted on his tweeter (I believe he asked people if they wanted him to still play the game or something similar), but the depip squad mostly left also of boredom and lack of balance. 2 years of waiting have been enough and marth88 considered Deathgarden and such to be more balanced and fair than Dbd before that tournament.
-
I doubt it.
I think Huntress just needs to be less loopable overall, rather than optional buffs. -

Last night I was in a match as Michael Myer, I had the unlimited evil within add on and something else I can't remember what and I was stood behind this Kate survivor and I was stalking her and she turned around and saw me and rag quit. I thought what a whimper. She got reported but still I lost a kill.Possibly because ragequitting is not punished.
And also because people are bored to see killers using ultra-rares every single rounds to "cheese" some wins.
The last time I played survivors, I couldn't have a single round without Iri hatchets/Mint rag+shackle hags/3-4 blinks camping nurses with Ebony and such. It's getting old quickly. I'm a killer main and I understand why they just leave at times. Ultra-rares are supposed to be rare, but they're just played every single rounds atm which is ultimately boring.

Billy is more balanced/fair/fun.
At least in my opinion.
Make your choice. -

Thanks for bringing this back here, special bonus points for the pic I guess ?It's not suppost to be a 'Bait Thread'.
It's suppost to teach people that they don't have to follow what everyone else says about thier playstyle.Teaching people ? On the internet ? And on Dbd ? Man. Either you're lying to yourself (and us), or you really got high hopes.
-
My rework idea for the nurse is pretty simple :
110% movement speed.
1 blink
No stun after blink.
5-8s cooldown (could be tweaked)
0,1s delay before hitting after teleporting (not to be able to teleport directly under pallet and hit before getting stunned, tho you could still teleport BEHIND the pallet and hit since the vacuum is gone)
Give her an add-on to get a 2nd blink, but with a way bigger exhaustion if you choose to use your 2nd blink. -

The killer disconnects, watching generators pop in a matter of seconds while you're just trying to find a single person isn't fun for them.
You might say it is in poor taste, but I call it justice.I just do what I can to get as many kills as possible considering the situations. If they pop 4 gens before you actually manage to get more than 1 hook, well, I guess it's too bad for the hooked person ?
-
This game is WANNABE competitive. So far it's a rather casual/meme game.
Going in the right direction tho, but it will take a good amount of time before it reaches the point you can call this game competitive. -
Is it steam forums all over again ?

Its a game, it will never be perfect, it will throw crap your way and it will give you moments of laughter.Lets stop fighting "Killer v Survivor" and start looking at everyone as people looking to have fun. The game is unbalanced and will never be perfect so move on and just enjoy the fun times.
If you focus on the bad that's all you'll ever see.
Just have fun!

Everytime I read this kind of stuff, it reminds me this.
It's not like balance and fun are incompatible.I agree but far more often than not people do not debate changes but go to full on arguing, using vulgar speech or personal attacks. My point is if the game has devolved to that point for you and you are no longer having fun why spend so much time just playing for the sake of it. Your picture is also a great example of "trolling" that person isn't playing the game to get enjoyment but messing with the other guy for "fun". I think what you posted proves my point that a lot of people are missing the point of the game and making their own fun by screwing with others. You can argue that's still considered "fun" but it fun at the expense of the very thing you are meant to be enjoying.
People just argue with emotions rather than actual and well-though opinions. As simple as that.
How many threads there is going like "CAMPING IS UNFAIR BECAUSE I DIED ?" or "SURVIVORS ARE OP BECAUSE THEY CAN RUN" ? Most of them. -
Just play Doctor and Camp.
As simple as that.Don't forget to open your profile comments.

Whenever I play as survivor, I prefer to play stealthy. The less focused the killer is on me, the better. It's worked really well for me so far, but it's not as easy against the doctor. I was curious if there were any good tips for evading the doctor or staying out of his way entirely if at all possible.
Wait for him to chase someone, and get in his TR to scream to get to madness 1.
Then just play regularly and genrush. -
Neither. Wouldn't touch these perks with a 5 meters pole.
-
Countering Clown is rather simple :
1. Split up. He can only put pressure on one survivor at a time.
2. Do gens quickly. There's no way he can actually stop you if you rush them.
3. In chase, don't hesitate to drop pallets early, downing pallets is better than taking hits.
4. In chase, do NOT stay at the same juking spot over and over. Leave to another spot, come back, go to another, and such. This is one of the only way to make the gas unnefficient. Once you counted 4 bottles, try "looping" him like a regular M1 killer.
5. Stealth is still an option to some extent. -
Wait, do people still care about that blatant toxic hacker ?
Wow. People can really grief and still get away with it nowadays. -

I wish to stab-stab all 4 survivors with my kitchen knife to attain Evil Incarnate trophy. If all Mike Myers main can give me some tips & tricks, would be really great. So far, I've been able to Mori 3 Survivors with the very rare add-ons, viz., Tombstone Piece and Lock of Hair. I didn't have enough juice to derive from the last remaining survivor, so it didn't work out. I'm hesitant on using the ultra-rare add-ons like Judith's Tombstone & Fragrant Tuft of Hair, but I guess, it's the only way I work this out. My perks are Ruin 3, Whispers 3, Play With Your Food 3, Monitor & Abuse 2. I do not have Tinkerer yet.
Tuft + Judith Tombstone is the only true way.
Get Play with your food, Ruin, and then do your best. -
PTB should just give bloodpoints like if you were playing on the live version. Possibly with a slight bonus even, so people actually want to try out stuff and play there.
Right now, people just want to grind, which is legitimate, considering how grind heavy this game is. -

You're comparing a balanced perk with a broken perk.
Obviously, the broken perk (sprint burst) will be better. And yet both are getting nerfed. Which will DOUBLY impact Dead Hard, because not only will it not regen while sprinting but it will still be worse in all the ways it already was to begin with. Aka barely giving you any distance and not being useable while healed, as well as being easy to counter play. Now how the [BAD WORD] do you counterplay sprintburst? You don't. So sprint burst will still not only be better, it will actually all of a sudden be A LOT better because Dead Hard is getting the same exhaust nerf.
I agree. The exhaustion nerf is not deserved for most perks.
Tho it's not released live, yet. We'll see. -
@RemoveSWF said:
It was a deliberate nerf.BHVR: Stealthy making survivors stronger with every patch while pretending to buff killers and not fixing SWF.
I asked a dev.
Wasn't deliberate as far as he knows (the one I asked to), he'll ask to the person in charge of that change tomorrow to make sure. Tho, they still think it's a good change overall. -

Stealth nerf? So the aura reading for perks getting buffed to give info for solo players, and perk rework for stealth perks like lightweight and introduction of dance with me. Are devs really abondoning stealth? Seeing how most killers aren't anti stealth, I don't see stealth as an issueNot sure where I stated a Stealth Nerf. But whatever runs your boat mate.
I Just stated Stealth isn't the only option against clown. -
I just asked.
The dev I asked to isn't sure, but he thinks it wasn't specifically intended to BBQ. But he also thinks the change is pretty fine.
He'll ask tomorrow to the person in charge to make sure.
There you go. -
I could ask devs to make sure.

It was basically an intended nerf of BBQ since Clown patch.

Infinites are another matter than looping. -

That being said, you can actually juke very efficiently as survivor with some setups, for extended period of time. Not sure if you consider that to be "looping" tho. What do you mean, looping is barely a thing? Are we talking about another game here?

Not sure where you draw the line between juking and looping thoughSince the pallet rework, I've never seen any survivor to accomplish more than 1 lap out of a pallet spot. Obviously, you can still use vaults and such in between pallets, but I don't consider that looping.
Looping is just running in circles at the exact same pallet over and over and over. And only Huntress is mostly cursed to run several circles atm.

As a killer main, I gotta agree.
Most of the last survivor matches I played were super pointless.
Mostly super-camping to earn 1-2 kills.
Camping Nurses, Camping Clowns, Camping Docs
Even at high ranks, it's quickly getting old tbh. -

Clown is fine the way he is.People who are saying he is OP and needs a nerf don't know how to counter him

Steath is his counter, which is FOR SOME DUMB REASON catching nerfs left and right. Aura perks, absolutely terrible crouching animations for THE ENTIRE MALE cast, afraid to add black or ending in clothing to ANYONE, just because of Claudette. Solo survivor got outright nerfed
Not only Stealth. Dynamic juking is his counter. The way is to manage to get to one juking spot to another to force him to waste his bottles, without circling at the same exact one.
A lot of good survivors can manage to do it efficiently. -
@GT_Legend2 said:
in high ranks, he is basically a middle finger to the survivors and almost seems that HE controls the outcome of the game, not the survivorsHe's good in chase. He still doesn't have nearly the map control he needs to actually stop survivors that actually repair gens, since he's still forced to chase people 1 by 1, or camp people 1 by 1.

Ok so I recently started playing Mr. Owner-Of-Barbaque and Chilly and I need some tips. When should I chainsaw vs smacking them with my hammer? Is it useful to use NOED on him or use that perk slot on something else? What are some crazy builds I can do with him (I like to spice things up every once in awhile)? My first advice :
Play Billy, the superior version. If you really want to play LF, however, you need to master camping.
And by Master Camping, I mean mastering the timing you have to have to come back to manage to get a multiple hit chainsaw, which isn't easy to manage, because you have to make the survivors to think they have TIME to save, while they don't.Over than that, the usual chainsaw mindgames are cool like, revving to feint you're gonna break a pallet, and don't and cancel to keep chasing.
Other than that, he's pretty bland overall.
You can eventually try some slugging with deerstalker to try to force people in the open to get some more hits/double hit upon healers. -
Just step aside.
It's not that hard, trust me. Peopel around doing it for more than 2 years now. -
Most Ultra-rare will still be inferior to the basic add-ons/kits. They're mostly for fun and to surprise survivors.
-
It basically used to be broken, like most survivor perks (aka 20s cooldown sprint burst without exhaustion system)

People who rage quit or throw salt at the clown camping... what is the issue? I assumed that the gas would interrupt the hook animation or something... but I'm not seeing an issue. You rescue them off the hook, and probably take a hit... why the salt? At least compared to any other camper (especially leatherface). They are mad because they get killed/their mates get killed and they find this unfair.
They're oftenly wrong, but they don't mind that. -
https://youtu.be/ZuP0SwYz7dQ maybe this one -
Red Hottie Kate, ofc.

The main issue with SWF is the fact that communication can make you to optimize the plays. "The killer is going at X, the totem is at X, The killer is Myers, he's stalking X, the killer is camping/not camping, do gens/save me"
A lot of edges in the game for killers are earned via the lack of communication of survivors, making them to go as multiple person for the saves, or not going for the save at all. With comm, you can just reduce/nullify these "mistakes" and play accordingling the whole round with ease.
-
Hundreds of them.
Laghaim.
Priston Tales
Dark Age of Camelot
Ragnarok Online
Exteel
City of Heroes
Pretty much all the N64/Dreamcast games (Aka Golden Eyes, Perfect Dark, and such)What drew me in on dbd ?
Nothing special, it looked like a decent multiplayer game. -
Would like to see a video of that, because it never ever happened to me.
-
It's pretty bad.
Sprint burst only needed to be addressed. Not all exhaustion perks.
Getting your sprint back was a nice thing to get mid-chase since it gave you a deserved reward for surviving a long chase. -
Nothing is better than self-care in a matter of reliability.

Demonstration: (Runvier's Version)
Let's say you run small game @Runvier because you once mentioned in one of your threads that you use small game. You find the totem and cleansed it with ease due to your perk. Now, your teammates become more unreliable which puts you in the hot seat. If the killer knows that your the one with the ruin buff, (s)he'll most likely tunnel you and if (s)he's really determined, camp you. Since the only counter to camping is to gen rush which is now more viable due to your teammates having decreased repair speed. The killer can sacrifice you to get the positives of not having any survivor that can repair generators faster. It's like the boring and annoying dying light strategy which I dislike because it's not fun. That's actually the whole point :
People will look around for the totem more, but will be forced to break it sneakily if they don't want to get tunneled. So it's both a bonus and a curse. -

Are you aware that Doc is seriously irritating to play against? (rhetorical, that's not the question...)Not saying he is difficult to play against. I'm saying he is irritating. It's very rare to get a game against a Doc that won't feel like your doing your taxes with a pencil and paper while chewing on tinfoil.
I ask (this is the question) is there any way we can come to an agreement of how to make Doc both a better killer and less annoying to play against? I'm not trying to start a fight here I really want to make a deal because dear God, I can't take these games anymore.
Flaming toxic posts will be reported btw. You know who you are.
Yes.
I'm fully aware, and I sometimes play him to make survivor's game more stressful and annoying, similarly to the usual killer's sensations.
