Because this days most income from games(not only DBD)is selling some side things-mostly costume and things what doesnt affect game balance.
Happy days for me then as I never buy any of the extras! (Although would if they were cheaper)

OP has a case of gambler's fallacy. Unless we want to start some conspiracy theories, there's always a 4% chance.
Mine is a conspiracy theory - sort of the point of the thread.
-
Is there a maths professor here? If you have 3 x 20/1 chances what is the chance of landing one of them?

Sonetimes happens 3 times in a row, sonetimes it never happen for 200 tries
203 / 3 = 1 in 67 chance = 1.49% chance.
You agree with me more or less.

I've unhooked myself a decent amount of times. Also, Survivors could have been unhooking themselves and you might have just been assuming that someone else saved them.
That is a fair point but since there is only a 0.5% chance of unhooking more likely they were rescued.

I think it's more like a 1 in 5 chance because I SWEAR at least one happens every two to three matches when I'm playing killer.
And I think the "chance" actually secretly increases based on how poorly the survivors are doing. Every time I'm having a record book game it seems to happen. Like it's taking pity on them.
I used to let kobe's go. Because I thought they were rare. Lol, I see kobe's more than I see moris if I'm being 100% honest.
I dont necessarily agree but I like that you think there is something going on behind the scenes with it....

Did you write down your statistics over the last 2 years somewhere?
You feel like it was 0.5%, but maybe in actuality it was still 4% and it just doesn't feel like that.
Because I can tell you, when I'm playing Killer, it sure as hell feels a lot more than 4% a lot of the time. Especially the game I had as Hag a couple months ago when three, three, THREE survivors kobe'd.
No I didnt write them down I'm not that much of a nerd!
The 4% is a lie!

That's how luck works. It's inconsistent.
Some days I can try to struggle off the hook myself a hundred times and not get off once.
A couple weeks ago I managed to wiggle off by myself 4 times in a row. No I wasn't using Deliverance. No there was no luck offerings.
But over time luck should even out - laws of probability and all that.
I'm happy with the size of my sample to scientifically declare as fact that the 4% chance is pure nonsense.

As Lord Glint said most killers have detection addons but none of them are as crippling as Doctor's. It's literally unavoidable once you've been electrocuted.
All the other killers you can keep your distance from Doc and you'll be fine (Except for Legion and his Pink addon), or there's some other forms of counterplay. With Doc you can't even hide in lockers. The delusion will still proc.
In my opinion none of the other detection add-ons are "hateable" I even find Scratched Myers enjoyable to go up against unless we're on Lery's.
Yes I agree with all you said there.

Myers has scratched mirror, vanity mirror mirror shard and Glass fragment, pig has Amanda's letter, Wraith has All seeing blood, Huntress has glowing concoction, Hag has willow wreath and pussy willow catkins, Doc has his restraint addons, Freddy has prototype claw and paint thinner, Plague has Black incense, Ghostface has outdoor security camera and Demogorgon has Leprose Lichen.
But apart from those are there any aura reading add ons? Ha ha there are loads.

Im surprised you didnt bring up any aura reading addons if this one from Doc is getting to ya.
Are there any other aura reading add-ons or just perks? I cant think of any. Yes I will probably hate them as well!
-
Restraint that's it - my mistake its not a brown.
Once you tagged with it you are bothered all game with it. I know you can run though it but its still a pain.
Its almost like the killer having 'Whispers' or BBQ on you once you are tagged.
Just my opinion...
-
The illusionary doc add on that tracks you all game and there is nothing you can do about it. I think there is even a common brown version of it.
-
I have a serious idea for Shirtless Myers - he should also have a tattoo of whoever the obsession is.
-
Doc is the only killer where I like a big terror radius. The earlier posts sums that up nicely.
There is an add on (I forget which one) which makes it even bigger.
Agree that you definitely need to extend the range of your electrode - base range is terrible.
I like the add-on which spawns an illusionary doc - that's a great tracking boost for the entire game.
I focus my build on gen stopping / slow down. If I'm feeling sweaty then a 3 gen strat is the way to go but those games can be long and tiresome.
-
Its also fun spotting killers going for the 4 kill trophy when you can tell they desperately want you to unhook someone so they can get them...
When that happens I never take the bait haha
-
A good mori spices things up a bit. Once the first guy is killed you don't know if its a green or a pink. Its also a rare enough occurrence to make it always surprising (for me anyhow).
At least its not like the old days when the killer didn't even have to hook you!

Oh absolutely! One of his best maps, and yet so fitting for the psychotic being of evil.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/748545#Comment_748545
I mean I'm not someone to fetishize it, but I'd love it purely for the meme of walking around buff as ######### stabbing people.
If more people played Leather shorts trapper then maybe they would have done a shirtless Myers by now.
As it is you never see him so they must have assumed there is no demand for kinky killers....
-
I don't have a screenshot but to me a lucky bloodweb is one where the entity can lop off huge chunks of thick mist, scratched coins and bad map offerings in just a few moves....
-
I don't care about the fashion but I find myself assessing the outfits for practical utility in a trial.
For example shirtless David must be cold, Kate in her winter outfit too hot, Meg white tennis clothes too bright etc...
-
Its just a vocal minority that want shirtless Myers.
-
Who doesn't like starting a trial on PS4 and hearing the screech of a nurse?
Then you can relax, search some chests, do a few totems and escape at your leisure.

Dead hard and decisive strike, landed both after getting hooked the first time. Myers has 0 difficulty catching up after any stun.
If this is like any other ranked game please let us have draft bans/picks on perks and killers/survivors. Myers had the team hooked in seconds and I haven't seen a single non expert player skate past this stupid killer.
Oh yeah, dodging 4 or 5 swipes earlier today then expose lands and instant downed.
Draft picks so I can play against killers that are still cheap as hell but not myers level.
So much to take in here... don't even know where to begin in replying...

Yes that's also what I am planning to do.
Although I find it hard to believe that a company like bhvr isn't doing much to allow people to play more of the game.
They should try to make the experience better rather than forcing us to stop playing because red ranks are frustrating
It works well for me now but only because dbd isn't my number 1 game anymore. I'm happy to play other stuff. Wouldn't have been the case a year or so ago when it was all I wanted to play...
-
Normally when I reach a killer rank that I find too sweaty I don't play for a month or so and enjoy playing in the lower ranks again when I come back to it.
That's just what works best for me. I do agree with you OP, the killer experience just becomes frustrating and stressful at a certain point.
-
Should be good for PS5.
-
I love cleansing a totem.
I like to close my eyes and pretend I'm milking a canker.
-
Been playing every night on PS4 this week (after 8pm UK time).
Just a short wait for lobbies on both survivor and killer.
(rank 12ish)
-
There is a psychic P3 French Leatherface on PS4.
He should definitely be nerfed.
-
I would like to diss the accounts department for the amazingly high prices they've been charging.
-
There's quite a rich and interesting lore to this game now.
I would like to see some of it explored in a single player experience but probably as some sort of spin off as opposed to a single player version of the current game.
Maybe something like a Game & Watch type thing where you have to milk a canker whilst avoiding the entities tentacles.

He just sounds like an utter spanner. Good at sports, bad tempered, drinker, debt collector, fist fighter all tied together with the "I'm 'ard, me" tag.
His perk small print descriptions are absolutely embarrassing.
Agreed.
Also the description of his hairstyle 'Battle Mullet' for 'when you proper fancy a fight'. Haha

After reading his Lore and his perk descriptions...I just think he sounds like a right berk. Completely unlikeable.
Yes! I have been saying this for a long time. I don't understand all the David love.
I think it comes mostly from non-English members who don't recognize the character type. He is the English equivalent of a 'jock' I guess.

Haha puns quips jokes. Although now I'm wondering which community is saltier. Xbox, ps4, switch or pc dbd
I don't find PS4 too bad to be honest. Maybe I would get more abuse if I was a better killer.
But on topic - yes would be great to have cross play with Xbox. The more players the better.
-
Treading in your own trap is one of the must humiliating things you can do as killer. No need to add any further punishment.
-
There is already plenty of cross play on PS4. Only last night I was beaten constantly on the hook by a salty wraith.
-
Kate: would
-
Pig too high.
Glad to see Clown not bottom.
-
Run him with monitor and abuse and he goes up a tier imo...

How have you not? I see them all over the place! Also it worked the second game. Maybe I was mistaking seeing a lit up portal when I actually wasn't, I dunno. Second game did better for me though.
Maybe just bad luck. I see loads of the new survivors so the DLC has definitely been selling...
-
Sorry not an answer to your question but just to say - I still haven't seen a Demogorgon on PS4!!
-
My experience on PS4 the last few days is that (solo) survivor lobbies come up within a minute and killer takes ages.
Last week it was the other way around...
-
One Halloween they added stuff to the bloodweb - torches with orange light that projected a ghost image and also glow in the dark med-kits.
More of that I say.
I doubt many med-kits survived - you could see the survivors a mile off...
-
I agree OP - not all perks are created equal.
I don't think this situation will change.
I think they should give each perk a point value bit like that old COD game and let you assign a set amount of points to your loadout.
So for example BBQ might be worth 5 points but instead you could take The Third Seal (2 points) and Overcharge (3 points).
Implication being that you could take more than 4 perks.

I would argue, that you don't necessarly need Surge or Pop for this build. The big part for this combo is Dying Light+Thana. Besides that having these perks as a regular player is quite likely.
I cant comment because I have only just started playing with Plague. Will definitely try this combo when I can though. I don't have Surge yet though...
-
I'm glad I got most of these done before the change.
Before though it was probably too easy - I definitely got some because people disconnected.
Now's its really tricky - I don't think anyone runs the 3 perks together as a viable strategy once they have the trophy.
-
A powerful build that requires perks from 3 separate DLC's.
Ker-ching! I'm surprised they haven't designed more of them...
-
I enjoyed filling my vial with canker juice last year. Oh well...
