No need to jump in but more and more I think I am going to buy it.
Still ages to go and after looking again last night I saw several outfits which I like and would use.
Its all going to depend on how easy the tomes are as that's where the progress comes.
Am accepting that Tome 4 will be tough but lets see how 2 and 3 go....
Like I say no need to decide yet.

What do 'they' actually want us to achieve?
If you can recoup 500 auric cells you can buy the minimum top up (500) to buy the next battlepass.
Therefore I think they would like most people to recoup less than 500 and then if you want to buy the next battlepass you are in the realms of having to pay full price (1000) again and being left with an odd amount of auric cells.
This is of course their evil master plan.

Value wise you can make it pay for sure. I'd be happy to get as far as the wraith head.
But it takes a large investment of time. Precious gaming time that I don't really want to dedicate entirely to Dead by Daylight.
Still many days to go though so don't want to make a final judgement yet.

I like Treeman Wraith but why should I pay full price for Wraith cosmetics when half the time he is invisible?
Also why does the clowns knife (surely the smallest cosmetic) cost the same as his massive fat belly?
I have Hallowed Clown and thinking about Santa but there is almost no point in getting the knife for either of them. No-one will notice if you don't have them.

I get given the hatch more often when I play a female character.

You don't even need to do that challenge to complete the tome and claim the 10 blue icicles and charm thing.
You can go the other route instead and your tome still gets ticked off.

Reached and claimed the prize on the first tome last night.
Thought you had to do all the challenges but turns out you dont. I still have the kill all 4 one to do.

Camp them to death, close the hatch and search for the final survivor is the guidance for this situation in the killers handbook.

Fist bump. You see where I’m going with this. Dead end rooms with 4 man gens that are risky. Killer vantage view points at the top of the upstairs floor with vaulting options or BL drops.

I’m going to blow your mind with this, are you ready? Open floor plan. Upstairs ,down stairs with double stairs on each side of the leading entry room. Torture basement essentially shack basement but with more details in the room. Attic with holes in the ceiling for balanced landing drops. Rooms with busted walls for lithe that lead to another room.
How do you get up in the attic?

Im doing the tome challenges and the rift because I want the serum for the Clown outfit.
I'm not sure I would be so interested otherwise.
I don't have much playing time so I cant just play normally to complete the challenges naturally. I have to force them so last night I was totem hunting and healing people with empathy. I freely admit I was detrimental to the team. This isn't a good feeling.
I want to play other games as well so whilst I am caning Dbd at the moment this will not be sustainable in the future and I wont be able to dedicate the time to the rift that it needs..

This seems like a good bundle though its cool that they put Stranger Things on the box art.

I wouldn't exactly say the game is more grindy as you are grinding everything simultaneously.
In fact there is a new way to earn BP (the tome challenges) so this should surely aid with levelling characters?

Overall I have played more the last 2 weeks than I have for a while:
The double BP weekend, the Halloween items, the rift, the tome, the pustula petals.
Ive quite enjoyed it to be honest although I miss milking my cankers and I agree the Halloween aspect feels a bit half baked.

I got a physical copy on release day for PS4 (despite seeing Destructoid review of 3/10!).
Was then nice to get it on PS Plus so I don't have to bother with the disc anymore.
Its often on sale for console so I assume if it ever leaves gamepass you could pick it up again for a decent price.

She does have a learning curve which is one of the reasons she was not thought of as any better than mid tier originally. Now she is considered one of the best.
Clown is on the same path but its taking a little longer....

I get what your saying OP. I was doing the open 5 chests one last night and I knew I was letting down the team as I was doing it. Was basically wondering around with plunders instinct when I could have done a gen or two. It can be the difference between winning and losing...
