I think its worth taking if there are multiple med-kits but if I only see toolboxes I don't bother.
If there are torches I take Lightborne.
Keys I usually don't notice they are so small..

In my experience very few killers are doing hardcore camping.
Most 'campers' are doing a little patrol all around to look for rescuers or a short trip to the nearest gen and back.
They are generally near enough to get in a chase straight away after an unhook.
-
Thing is camping is effective.
I see it every night. Someone on the hook. 2 others sitting in a nearby bush doing nothing.
Hook swaps where the rescuer gets downed whilst the other one escapes.
Ridiculous unhooks right in front of the killer.
Killers camp because it works. Maybe not in the low ranks inhabited by this forum but in the mid ranks this is what is happening all the time.
PS4 rank 10 - people barely do gens anyhow. Once someone is on a hook they are drawn to it like a magnet...
-
Am quite interested to see what the new challenges are.
Repair 25 generators? Catch 6 people in bear traps in one match?
It going to have a big bearing on how much further I will be able to go in the rift...
-
Stop Press: All killers viable at Red Rank shocker!
-
Interesting isn't it?
Perception I guess. Spirit feels sort of unfair in a way that Freddy doesn't?
-
Plague does not seem particularly powerful in red ranks. I thought the dev guy said that she had high learning curve and was stomping all?
Leatherface actually does better...

I'd love to have a mode where these rules applied:
- You can only choose your loadout before entering a lobby (no last second changes for both killers and survivors), not even change characters
- 4 hooks for death hook and 6 gens to repair out of 8
- Moris only apply instead of Death Hook, no keys allowed
- Only purple and red ranks have the right to enter (EDIT: maybe green to red?)
- 200% BP for everyone every match
- DC = 1 day ban from this mode
- SWF can enter this mode
What do you guys think?
Initial thought is that it will be very boring having to camp out an extra hook stage.

Looks like obsession would be tunneled to death then... doesn't sound like a good idea imo
How about then the totem is carried around the neck of a crow and if disturbed the crow flies to another part of the map?

Why not skip the BS and have it just kill the Survivor on the spot?
How about another idea then?
Only the obsession can cleanse totems as only they have true insight into the killers power?

Megs beautiful face should not be covered with a mask.

So recently I've decided to ditch Hex: Ruin and replace it for Pop Goes The Weasel. Then I equip Devour Hope. Survivors no longer are zurg rushing for a totem and generally feel safe. It should be noted I use this on Trapper, where it's most useful because I have a way of protecting my totem. If the game goes somewhat well, even if they get gens done quickly, it's an all stop once they see Devour Hope is powered. They look for my totem and start to get Mori'd. It's even better when someone hits a trap or two and I don't need to hit them so I can get straight to 5 tokens. The survivors no longer have 2 minutes of invulnerability and now have just 1.
With respect that sounds very much like a best case scenario. Your totem doesn't get cleansed and you get the final 2 tokens without hitting anyone?
Sure lovely when it happens but how often is that?
-
Trapper's wearing the Lederhosen cosmetic are always running NOED.

my meme trapper uses Monstrous Shrine since day 1.
If you do happen to get someone to the basement it feels pretty good!

Honestly there are so many perks in this game that I wonder "who the ######### approved this idea and thought people would actually want to use it" I guess they can't always be creative, but they could at least try to not make perks that are near-useless. Like poor old Monstrous Shrine, untouched since 2016
I sacrificed someone with Monstrous Shrine just 2 days ago. They even tried two attempt escapes. I did laugh.
Admittedly though it was just a joke build with Santa Clown.
-
There is the old lady Laurie Strode cosmetic?
Never seen one in the wild. I guess old age doesn't sell....
-
If survivors always cleanse all 5 totems then you get the same benefit without even running NOED (they don't know if you have it...)
The only tangible benefit is the insta downing and it is powerful and potentially match changing but it is not a slowdown perk.

This is my current fave. Have you ever seen a killer so cute and cuddly?
-
Just to assume this is serious.
I think this is a zero sum game. For example one persons fun (slamming a pallet on a killer's head) is unfun for the other. Escaping - fun for survivor - unfun for killer.
Think of dbd as a game where you have to extract the fun before your opponent does. Then everything makes perfect sense.

Demogorgon is an animal. It isn't smarter than bubba.
The mindflayer who controls the demogorgons is smart, but not the demos themselves
Thank You. Noted.

The 'Peter Principle' - used to describe people on a career ladder.
'the principle that members of a hierarchy are promoted until they reach the level at which they are no longer competent.'
Same goes for killers I think.

@PistolTimb said:
Spirit would arguably be the smartest since she was a bright, young student before death. But of course you could argue that Rin is long gone and only her spirit remains. My bet is on Ghostface. It takes a large, sociopathic intellect to be a serial killer.
Exactly. That's why Spirit is low on my list because its just a shell that is left bent on vengeance.
-
I would say there is a lot of 'busywork' with Plague. Puking on this, puking on that, drinking from fountains...
I like her but after a while I do appreciate switching to a more straightforward chasing killer like Clown for example.
-
Normal speed that's good. Yet they list him as difficulty 'hard'.
Hmmm....what am I missing?
-
In theory bodes well - map mobility and a one hit down.
What's the catch? 110% movement? He doesn't look very spritely.
-
So if the killer always breaks the pallet's the perk is useless?
Cant see it getting much use....
-
The power could be alright though. Depends on how it takes to get / how long it lasts.

Slightly underwhelming though. Not seeing anything that would trouble the meta...

I see tears of a person that can't afford playing 8 hours a day.
Pretty much. But I think 8 hours a day would drive me insane...

How would I find the time to play the ptb?
That rift wont grind itself....

Yeah behavior might not be the best when it comes to like balancing the game but god dang is there themes for killer and model designs good. Like seriously major props to behaviors art department.
Agreed. And I think the sound designs are excellent as well.

Too soon man, too soon.
Sorry to sidetrack but have you ever read the 'Machete Order' suggestion for watching Star Wars?
It basically advises omitting Phantom Menace entirely. Well worth looking up if your a fan. Its a good read.

Darth Maul was at least cool.
True but.....Midichlorian's.

So did the trailer for The Phantom Menace and look how that turned out.

That sounds like fun. I'd definitely try this build. If you use Monitor and Abuse you could probably also mess the terror radius further. Maybe Dark Devotion too?
Dark Devotion would be a great choice for this. I need to get that unlocked on Wraith.

The Pirate
-
I'm always surprised that SWF don't wear the same clothes more often. You would think it would be an advantage.
For example the killer wouldn't know which one was on their last hook.
-
QOL change - PS4.
Would like to see progress towards trophies - ie towards 50 self unhooks. How many have I done? No idea.

It's all up to RNG.
Billy is one out of 17 killers and there are 3 out of 33 indoor maps (if you count all 5 variations of Preschool). So the odds are small but it is possible.
On another note, from my experience if a Billy player gets an indoor map they are more likely to DC at the start of the game.
Yes exactly and the devs know that they will DC so they take steps to stop it happening (too often..)
-
More games have been won with Hex: Ruin than any other perk.
-
I am useless at the moment. After being teamed with potatoes and not escaping for about 8 matches I thought Id get in on the killer action but my first game doing a wraith daily they all escaped. The next game as Doc I only got 2 cos I caught one right at the end.
Actually as solo survivor its very frustrating. No-one wants to do gens (except when I play killer). Half the time I have no idea what the rest of the team are doing...
-
I hate DS but not everyone has it and its best to play as though it doesn't exist.
Having said that there are some troll survivors that you just know will have it. Its always satisfying to leave them for 60 seconds and find out that you were right in the end game screen.
-
Just about to unlock enough serum for a complete clown outfit.
IF I can get to the end of the 4th row and unlock the Wraith mask I MIGHT get the battlepass.

It notifies you when you blind the killer, best time to do it is when the killer is breaking a pallet. Hope this helps!
Thanks Ill try. Have honestly never made a serious attempt to use a torch. Am too nice....

11 survivor challenges, 5 killer challenges, and 2 challenges for either side.
Seems balanced....
This killer main is about to ruin so many matches in order to get these done.
I hate playing survivor so much...
Get ready for lots of Trapper (more than last time). Small game all the way...
