I would be interested in their stories in the fog. We have the movies and where they were before, so it doesn't make sense to do it again.
However, seeing Laurie's or Quintin's perspective on the Entity's realm should be interesting.
Seeing how Bill reacts to waking up in the fog should be fascinating as well.
And having my theory about how Kate came up with the survivor's theme proven right will be the icing on the cake.
One other thing to note is that it would be interesting to know if the world outside even takes note of how many go missing. Like in Kate's lore we see a snippet about how David King goes missing (famous football player) or Jake Park's disappearance (a son of a billionaire) things like that should be front page news, no?
-
The Average game should be 2-4 kills, maybe one DS, one Adrenaline... One gen is done in about 30-40 seconds of the game starting... It should require great teamwork to get less than 2 kills on survivor.
My personal average is 3k-4k though, at high purple, low red ranks. Often getting Ruthless, although with Legion (my main) I'm not surprised if I get Merciless killer... although that's arbitrary (thanks gatekeeper emblem).
-
Nope. Wouldn't want that. Camping is already a bad idea anyway (borrowed time, DS, less points, etc...) And for the most part it never works.
-
Stops lunges, and if they have enough distance, maybe Head On to stun the killer.
Also DS design.
-
I think it should make any killer like tombstone myers if you're going to do that with tokens. At 3 tokens, every hit causes broken, at 4 tokens everyone's exposed, at 5 everyone's mori-able! : D
-
We essentially have bikini Kate and Meg, so I don't see what the issue is.
Although we do need one for Julie though...

Even with Small Game you can't expect a single solo player to run every nook and cranny of the entire map just to find 5 totems.
I do it often enough. I don't like being surprised. : /
-
Yeah, I don't use them often, but you can tell if its' working. The flashlight will change the beam appearance to a pinpoint if it worked.
-
@Avariku said:
the ONLY issue I have with it is that all 5 totems must be destroyed to nullify it and outside of playing SWF, there's almost no way to ensure this has been done aside from traversing the entire map to verify all of them have been broken.
this topic has been beaten to death on the forums though, so I'm really not sure why yet another thread was needed for this dead horse.
That's what small game's for! : D

I don't think that's the way to buff her.
For one, it doesn't really affect high ranks. They usually don't cleanse until the end. So... keep trying! I'd love to see plague buffed, but don't know her well enough to suggest how. : )
-
On console, due to lag, hitting great skill checks is very difficult. (the skill check bar also stutters occaisionally, not helping the issue.)
It's easier to find the totem then letting it stay.

Causing you to break LoS is the entire point. Everything else is mostly (but not entirely) uberbuffing him from there.
He's faster in Frenzy, faster to exit frenzy, longer duration after a hit (although if that is enough for that situated is currently being debated) and extra utility from deep wounds.
To counterbalance this he has the self stun, his power isn't paused during vaults, pallets are not always vaulted and mending doesn't take as long.
This is compared to old Legion mind you. There are more differences compared to new legion of course.
The sound doesn't HAVE to be a roar, it just needs to be a distinctive audio cue and a roar was the most fitting sound that came to mind.
But yeah, looking up and thus having a serious risk of losing the Survivor if you aren't careful is deliberate. It's supposed to make sure his weaknesses are exploitable so we don't end up with the no skill killer we started with. And thus the buffs are there to both fix his initial power imbalance without addons and counterbalance his weaknesses so that they aren't crippling.
I mean, my only disagreement was looking up. Legion relies on knowing the initial location of the survivor he's chasing. Everything else is fine.
Maybe looking down like he does when exiting frenzy now is better...
I didn't play him when he was strong though. Could he see scratches/blood?

You also can't predict when the killer runs Noed yet every single Survivior is somehow expected to run small game to counter it. Yet conversely also hated bc they dared to cleanse the totems to prevent Noed.
You also can't predict when the killer runs Prayer Beads Spirit so you can run Spine chill to stand a fighting chance against her, yet somehow Prayer beads hasn't been nerfed despite how overpowered it is.
You can't predict when the killer runs EndFury until the black spider legs of Chthulu are crushing the pallet you beat the killer at before your very eyes as the killer lands the free hit they get for losing a mindgame. Bc a lot of people run enduring now bc of the buff it got against pallets, not everyone runs Spirit fury.
You can't predict a lot of things. That doesn't mean they're OP
You can predict it by finding the totems. They have fixed spots for spawns after all.
I run spine chill regardless, because it helps counter every killer, including stealth killers. That information is just crucial.
Prayer beads is tough, however, you can hear their footsteps. And just being unpredictable helps too.
If you stun them and they have enduring, you can predict that they have spirit fury.
Infinite loops are OP, because they just aren't worth it for a killer to try..
-
That charge up seems kind of bad... looking up? Seriously? You could lose your survivors. Roaring out loud isn't great either... maybe you could make it like the end sound instead of a roar, per se...
Instead you could use the animation he has for ending frenzy at the beginning as well... maybe altered to show them powering up.
I mean, working to a frenzy makes sense, but looking up to do so is ridiculous.

Killers want to nerf decisive strike when it has a foolproof counter. They want to nerf windows when they have a foolproof counter. This isn't a one sided thing
Not all windows are foolproof. Look at ironworks of misery and tell me that has a good counter besides bamboozle. You can't predict when you get ironworks.

Come on Peanits, people is not that stupid as you think... Survivors just have to use 2 things to survive: Windows and Pallets. And do you really think they are not going to realize what is a pallet or not? LMAO, it's just a texture change. It would be a very interesting addition to the game imo
When you think about it, it doesn't make sense to not make it more in line with the map's character.
But the thing they have to worry about is 2 things: Doctor and Freddy can make fake pallets. Maybe they don't want to mess with that.

Survivors have insta heals as their only useful/broken ultra rare
Killers have a ######### ton of broken thing such as Ebony’s , and a bunch of add ons like infinite tier 3, ira heads etc
Keys Exist.
And the Blond hair addon takes so long to get up. It has a downside.
Ira heads only have one ax by default. All killer addons have a pro and a con.
Survivors do not. (BNP has harder skill checks, but that's it.)

Am I the only person that wants Nurse to have basekit only slightly changed and thinks addon rework is the only necessary thing?
Nope. I agree.
The addons need changes anyway since blink accuracy isn't a thing anymore.

She does not have a high learning curve at all.
I don't understand this ridiculous notion coming from people that you have to spend 100s of hours with her to be good at her, you can be VERY mediocre with her and still decimate anyone.
one/two days of playing her without addons and you're set, it's nothing near what people make it out to be.
Nope. Try learning to blink on the Game, or Haddonfield.
Also getting the timing for getting accurate blinks can be quite difficult to newer players.
She does have a high skill ceiling because you have to predict where survivors are going.
I've seen many 3-4-even 5 blink nurses fail entire games because they don't know the proper way to do things.
-
I faced against a 4 blink nurse and considered it until I realized they were bad.
However, there is a 4 man swf team in my area that I go against constantly. I'm forced to constantly change targets, since I'm wasting my time if I try. This is usually when I pull out an Ebony mori and Spirit to make them suffer. They bring insta-flashlights, instaheals, and brand new parts on a constant basis... It's stupid. As well as adrenaline, DS, and the meta perks.
Then they complain to me when I mori them. I'm like: "I'm sorry, did you think I like your tricks? This is karma." However I've never said that back.

I don't think there are any infinites though even on maps like Haddonfield.
Balanced landing allows survivors to get to safer places (houses) and if they can get to the outer roof then they are safe because the killer has to vault. You can almost loop them infinitely if you go between two houses. It's annoying to deal with. Haddonfield is definitely broken and on the survivors' side.
I refuse to play on swamp maps, haddonfield, and ironworks of misery because they are broken in similar ways.

Nurse 4Ks probably 90% of her matches, having every killer 4K 90% of their matches is just not healthy for the game.
But nurse has a high learning curve. Nurse is far from an instant win button.
Other killers should have high skill ceilings, as well as the ability to do well if played well, not just if the other team plays badly.
-
I've noticed that nurse is weak to just trying to keep your distance, 360ing, and breaking line of sight. Not to mention that you can stun them with head on to stop a blink.
-
@Groxiverde said:
Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game and she should be nerfed, as all games nerf their strongest characters to change the meta. If the meta is always the same, the game would become boring (and it is already happening). Think about this.
I think they should buff the other killers to compete with nurse, not the other way around. Spirit is almost there, but the others can easily get bullied.

What if pill bottle made awake survivors always see Freddy flashing?
I suggested that he be invisible at a closer range. Maybe not completely invis, but more so to be able to get a first hit more quickly. That might secure its' role.

I’m guessing @Raven014 is probably embellishing a little bit, but I get the point they’re trying to make.
But we killers shouldn’t be expecting to be applying significant pressure before 1 gen is done anyway. That first gen pop can sometimes be a blessing in disguise if a survivor wasn’t found before the repair was finished, as now you know a rough area they’re focusing their activity.
But hey sometimes i’m lucky and I practically trip right over a survivor after spawning and have a hook before even the first gen pops, so the frustration can work both ways (poor Claudette).
But we should at least be able to get to all the gens before they are able to activate one, right? (WIth trapper I understand, because setting traps takes time, but isn't it weird for Huntress to not be able to do that?)

No, only Freddy.

So every single game you have multiple survivors with toolboxes with speed increase add ons and Prove Thyself and they're all working on the same gen? Because that's the only way you'd be able to complete a gen in 20 seconds. And that's if they literally spawned next to the gen and didn't even have to walk.
I was exaggerating. But gens shouldn't be done before a killer can even get to them, especially slower killers and ones that need to prepare traps.

Resin. Looks super cool, was hot as hell. But worth it lol. ^_^
Indeed worth it. : )
-
I mean, when a gen gets done within the first 20 seconds of a game every time... it gets frustrating. How am I as a killer supposed to reach that in time? Especially as Trapper, Huntress, or Hag?
Often times I have to play to protect the three nearest me to lock them into a dangerous position. it's 50/50 though, since they still might get it done regardless. Most teams I come into contact though don't even give that option.
-
Adrenaline's replaced it in every way.
Most survivors just go to teammates if they need a heal or bring a medkit.
It activates automatically regardless if they're exhausted (That shouldn't be allowed).
And self care takes forever. A good thing too, but still. I have it anyway just in case, but still...
-
I agree. The totems all get broken because 1000 points per dull totem is enough incentive.
It's a perk that can be disabled by the other team. No survivor perks are like that, with the exception of Deliverance. But killers don't know if they have that perk or not. (I don't respect deliverance anyway. If I think a survivor has it I'll go away and then go back when proven right.)
-
YES! I've been saying this for ages! : D
I'm in red ranks, with Ruin, and the first gen gets one in 20 seconds! It's ludicrous!
-
I found out about the game through Achievement hunter. I found the Huntress to just be something I wanted to play... and my first game was a perfect 4k. Then again, I watched them for the mechanics and tactics, so I may have had a leg up in that case...
Note: around this time, the clown had just released/was just around the corner.

This only works if you then ban people for dodging lobbies until they get in the same one as their friends to not have that disadvantage. When you then take into account that the devs don't ban for abusing exploits (Wake Up, Sprint Burst) this can never work
True... not like the devs will want to fix that, since survivors are "taking advantage of the mechanics".
-
I think maybe make it heal a third, not half. Besides, pizza boxes are very cumbersome.
And, since pizza is an edible resource, maybe it's effectiveness goes down based on how long it's in the trial?
Pizza healing people sounds weird.
-
You mean: "Perks for survivors should be weaker when in SWF?"
I agree.
-
I use these for my main killer (Legion):
Pop Goes the Weasel: This is to slow the game down, which can be changed for Hex: Ruin: which is to slow the game down, just a little bit. I have yet to truly test corrupt intervention, though, since I haven't unlocked it on the bloodweb yet. However, PGtW works throughout the game, and really does a number on gen tappers after hooking multiple survivors.
Save the best for last: Not so great on (one shot) killers like micheal, nurse, leatherface, or billy, but it does wonders on legion, who can get stacks so quickly.
Mad Grit: Many high rank survivors try to bodyblock. This punishes them for it.
BBQ: Bloodpoints is bloodpoints, and auras at 40m or more is great info for what to do next.
-
Looks great! What did you use for the mask?
-
I don't get the point of that one, to be honest. Pill bottle will always be ######### addon for freddy. It used to be decent. Now it's... whatever it is...
I think they should just revert it back to what it used to be. That could still work, since you get a terror radius when awake.
-
Yeah, because Tremendously for Cold Dirt is just 1 second off of 4. It's stupid.
-
I like empathy because it allows me to know where the killer is regardless of range.
-

Although I respect your idea, it's better off being specific because it'll allow teammates to make the best decisions and the killer will be able to apply the proper pressure that they should.
If the killer doesn't see this, then that would shift the already broken balance even further to survivor.
-
As a killer, I'd only want this when I'm against Survive with Friends groups. The killer should know what they know. It's only fair then.
-
As a killer I always check the boiler area and killer shack first, since the hatch loves to spawn there.
-
Yeah... and to prestige three times (Since there is an achievement for prestiging three times as well as getting to P3 level 50.) It's ludicrous.
-
My top three:
Legion: Fuming Mixtape and Etched Ruler. It allows me to check the progress of all gens to prioritize which to go to. Not as good as All Seeing Rune for Wraith, but still a decent addon on certain maps (and allows me to ditch locating perks for something more powerful). The ruler helps get your power back.
Spirit: Bamboo Flute and any speed addon. It's just to get the power back. Usually I just use the power to move quickly, but if I'm approaching a gen, then I'll save it for a chase.
Huntress: Purple Ax head and Leather belt loop. One extra hatchet and mangled for hatchets an be very useful. Mangled from hatchets is almost as good as Sloppy Butcher, and having one extra hatchet can make for some "easy" mindgames. Especially if you pretend that you have no hatchets.
-
Seems like a good concept. However, those numbers for survivors are ridiculous. Especially when you take in to account perks.
(Leader would be very useful, as well as Wake Up, and such for survivors.)
However, perks that the killer would be able to use, or should be able to use: (Such as NOED and Remember me.) They would have to be balanced of course. Not to mention addons. 1 of Wraith's and Legion's iridescent addon't are purely for gens (All seeing rune and Fuming mixtape).
Just some things to consider.
-
Um... how do I put it? You're wrong. These perks are broken. Especially at red ranks.
Adrenaline is very overused, especially in high rank gameplay. It was even buffed with the endgame collapse. I think it needs a slight change to not make it so gamebreaking.
I've been in games where I down a person, then before I can get them, they get back up and loop me till the door is open. This happens at red ranks a lot.
NOED is very weak. When survivors rush through the gens, sure it can work, but since the gates open so easily, it usually doesn't matter. And, most high ranks will take your advice of breaking all the totems. When I see NOED being used, I think: Oh, this killer predicted we'd get all the gens.
I also then just leave because the gate's open.
