Maybe make there an option to go against SWFs, a casual que, and then the ranked que... because going against SWFs is like the unexpected hard mode to this game.

I forgot about those versions. Hallowed Blight Doc and Wraith are terrifying.

They are designed similar to Ghostface. The hoods, white masks, multiple killers similar to the movies, the hunting knife, etc...It’s pretty similar to me. It’s just like Hillbilly vs Leatherface.
I wish they would’ve done a desert theme map instead of the Red Forest biome for Plague. It should’ve been a brand new map with the huge temple and pyramid style buildings around the map. Plague herself is probably the best work they’ve done design wise for a killer. They just didn’t nail the map.
Aesthetic wise they nailed Spirit and Legion’s map. It’s just awful to play on as a killer. I probably prefer Yamaoka over Ormond though.
But Ghostface never wore hoodies. If anything, they are similar in design to Jeff the Killer or Kate the Chaser from Slender the Arrival than to ghostface. Heck even Hoodie looks more like Legion than GF does.
I don't mind playing on Ormund, but only in very specific situations. (As Legion or Leatherface).
In this we agree...
-
I just had a game where a nurse was using NOED and the gate was open... at the other end of the map.
I was going for adept Ash, and Flip Flop was at 50%, because she wanted the 3 of us left.
I got the bar full, and then used it to get off and make a mad dash which worked.
That is how I got the Adept Ash achievement.

Grabbing survivors and getting free kills XD I think Michael is pretty fun on both sides, I tried him out with the offering, and he was fun. :)
Micheal is terrifying for me when playing survivor, for the same reason I get a jump from GF. They always just seem to find me first. : P
But yeah, I find that tombstone myers is the fun way to derank.

Legion’s chapter was kinda boring to me to be honest. Putting aside my hate for Legion’s gameplay...their lore has been done before over and over again. They are normal people with an “I Know What You Did Last Summer” vibe for their lore. Their look is also VERY similar to Ghostface. It’s just another slasher movie.
Plague’s lore on the other hand is fresh and a concept that hasn’t been done 1000 times before. Not to mention that her aesthetic is badass.
Spirit’s lore isn’t exactly new since it’s a Japanese ghost we’ve all seen before but it hasn’t been done NEARLY as much as Legion’s.
I won’t lie though...Legion and Spirit’s maps are beautiful. Just not very balanced maps.
Their look isn't very similar to GFs at all. Don't know where you pulled that comparison from. Sure, they have hoods and white masks, but that's about where the similarities end.
True, she does look different to everything before.
They are different... but I just like how Legion's has the Legion logo which the survivor designed and painted there as his first commission... I just like how it all ties together. To be honest, placing a desert temple in the Red Forest because... reasons... isn't that great.
Spirit's map is good too, although I find it annoying to play on.

Which we kind of did that match XD
One of the reasons I play Tombstone Myers was to get Evil Incarnate. The other is because it's more fun than normal games. : P

His weakness is also gen rushing.

If you jump into a locker why can't he just drop you then Mori?
He just can't. IDK why, maybe to balance it out?
-
He also has trouble when you get into lockers, since he can't kill you in there. He can still hook you though, so it's not ideal.
-
HAhHAHAHA... no.
Survivors who know how to play against him make his gameplay into M1 fests. He is a weak killer.

It doesn't confirm that others are coming soon. It could be a year or 5 before that happens.

I have to disagree.
Remember was a fantastic perk before EGC, and especially on old Freddy because the effect was extrapolated if the survivors were asleep and the Obsession was dead.
I would like to see it changed so that it’s current effect stays the same if the EGC has started (a max extension of 16 seconds) BUT if the EGC hasn’t started, then each token counts for a 10 second extension (max extension of 40 seconds ONLY if the EGC hasn’t started)
THe old remember me had 6 tokens though, so it encouraged you to let your obsession heal up too. Not just tunnel them after they get unhooked. It was more powerful...
I miss that version...

Absolutely. The only reason I am going to prestige quinten and already have for Laurie is because they have nothing.

IMO, Plague has the best character design and lore, followed closely by Spirit and Huntress. Clown's lore is good, and his design is okay but there's only so much you can do with a clown theme. I will say I'm glad they went with the sad clown look instead of a crazy or happy clown look. Fits much better with the game.
I'd say Legion's chapter as a whole is better, but if only by a slight margin. Everyone is connected to each other well, the map makes sense, even the survivor knows the killer, even if it's been years.
I also like how the cosmetics show what killer from the band it is... even if they haven't given any more cosmetics to them since neon Joe.
-
Not going to lie: Legion is.
Mainly because they're so close to normal people that it makes you realize anyone could fall that far. Anna is also like this: Such a gentle look hides such a monster.
However based on looks alone, I'd say Spirit. Pair that with the red kimono and oni face paint... oh boy... that would be scary.

I know right, the entitlement and privilege in this thread is disgusting, killer mains getting all upset over X reason when the simple fact is...killers are the only ones able to physically harm/kill you, survivors can stun but only if you let them or leave yourself vulnerable for a risk save.
killers will find any reason to rag on survivors but bottom line is killers are the only ones with the real power, if you’re getting wrecked by 4x people that’s on you as a killer and your skill level
However, many mechanics and perks are in the Survivor's favor. Killer's may be able to kill you, but that doesn't make them the power role, as they should be.
-
Heck, skip this being a perk, make it a mechanic! XD
-
Legion suffers from the same problem.
I think if Thanatophobia stacked dead survivors it might be more useful even without buffing the numbers, and it would make sense for the perk.
-
I hope they give quinten's model a buff sometime. XD
-
Yeah... Bloodwarden isn't as good as you think it is. It's weaknesses:
- leaving early
- not getting caught
- it's once only.
You just happen to miss all of those that game. It's such a situational perk.

Wow, so it's even more useless. XD

"Um, no. Scream is a satire, not a comedy."
Honestly, when I watched it, it felt like it was trying pretty damn hard to be funny.
It was failing miserably at it, but hey, it was trying.
"The point of the halloween costume for Ghostface is that anyone can be a suspect. It's an easy costume to acquire."
That doesn't change the fact that it is a very unimpressive and unimposing shroud that makes anyone who wears it look like a child going trick-or-treating. Hell, an edgy teen could close their eyes and pull a random jacket and pants out of their wardrobe and have a more murder-y costume than that.
Oh wait, they did. They're called the Legion.
A satire isn't inherently funny. You may draw humor from it, but not everyone will. That's the point, that it makes a point about something. It is a satire on horror movies, and makes fun of their conventions (the actions of the lead character, of the killer, of the side character saying right behind you to the movie while there is a killer behind them... etc.). Only those who can get the satire will laugh (which appears to be both of us).
It makes sense for the movie for the costume to be easily accessible. However, in DBD, it does not due to the backstory.
Now I'm waiting for a movie costume adaptation. The people who mainly wanted ghostface in the game wanted the movie ghostface. Just because you didn't doesn't mean others didn't either.
I like both looks, since both look great for what they are trying to do.
-
I mean, that could work, but it might make survivor more difficult only on certain maps. They still might complain. XP
-
I mean, we have Nea... but we can't count the Entity itself, could we? XD

You don't have to have Black eyes, you could have glowing red ones with black eyeliner. That might be more visually striking.

I think the side you go to is random... but it'll try to make you go the direction you're already facing as well. Sometimes though, it doesn't have that option.
-
Cool! : )
-
Well, it's different. However, I prefer DBD for the mindgames and the locked roles. Hide or Die has neither. I know some people might prefer it, but that's my opinion.
-
I like the Red Forest maps (yes, both of them), the game, and shelter woods.
Then again, I'm a killer main. : )
-
Yes! I can't tell you how many 4ks have been stopped by random keys they don't deserve.

If they do this then they need to hit the Ruin & PGTW combo because together it makes it hard to finish all 5 gens.
Seems like every Freddy in red rank are using these 2 perks together and no one can do anything.
Ruin can be deactivated and PGTW punishes gen tapping after rescuing from a hook. Those things are common for most killers, not just Freddy.
-
Fun fact: Trapper was a placeholder for Jason when they were first making the game... then Friday the 13th the game came out... and then died... It's unlikely Jason will ever be added to DBD.
Even though Freddy was... XD

We don't know what the time conversion would be. I mean, a survivor could experiance a decade of pain, but then it's found to be a year. I mean, it's fascinating that the entity can pull people from all times, and that people perceive them arriving at certain times... There is so much we don't know. Hopefully Archives will expand on this to a degree.

@Raven014 i personally use the jet black robes with the demon mask but hey that's just me lmao so ready for the metal mask on him though, would love to get a more stealth oriented mask though
I do like that metal one as well.
If we got a stealthy mask, then it would be hard for survivors to see him, then they'd complain and BHVR would remove it. : P
-
If you don't want to be camped, don't tick off the killer. That is one of the surer ways to put a target on your back.
DS strikes, Instaheals, Head On... there are a number of things that killers hate that will make them want to dispatch you specifically. Some killers don't pay attention to who did what, but I do.
-
Rule # 945:
Any Legion who attempts to 4k will be punished with one legitimate DC in order to stop them from getting Merciless if they are going for Adept.
Rule # 814:
You must not run Mad Grit or Save the Best for Last on Legion. Double punishment for running both. (TBH, that was a stupid match. Some people just don't know they don't stack.)
-
This isn't the first time they've ignored questions. They've done it before. So I'm not confident in their abilities to do the Legion justice for the moment.

Technician is kind of useless. Alert and Lithe are both really good perks though, as killers generally break things/regress generators so you can get an idea of where they're headed after doing that. Lithe is a really good exhaustion perk as well. Spine chill is pretty useful also. My Lithe build right now is Lithe, Alert, Quick and Quiet(Meg teachable), and Windows of Opportunity(Kate teachable). Quick and Quiet works amazingly well with Lithe. I want to swap Windows of Opportunity or Alert with Dance With Me once I get it, but I don't own Kate right now, only got Windows out of the shrine.
Technician's secondary effect is underrated. If you're soloing a gen, and they come by when it's almost done, they won't know if you're working unless they get really close.
-
Well, here's my thoughts:
Technician: Kind of Meh, however, it's great for repairing gens solo since the audio you produce is quieted. Killer's can't hear you working on a gen with progress more than 50% unless they get real close. That part alone makes it worth it. You aren't taking this to fail skill checks, that's for certain.
Lithe: Good if used correctly. Can be a waste of a slot if you get a bad map or the killer has traps or bamboozle.
Alert: This is critically underrated. It tells you when the killer's in a chase, or at a gen. I love it, personally.
Spine Chill: A good perk for those who can use the info from it.
A decent build, but not the strongest. You don't have any way to heal yourself, or any way to stop tunneling... but you are able to get away quickly if you can take advantage of Lithe.
-
I think that perk needs a whole overhaul. I didn't used to be like this. The only reason Tinkerer changed is because of how many addons that perk effected. (And the devs got lazy since they would have to code every addon to be different with tinkerer. The current tinkerer doesn't quite fit with billy as a character.)
It used to reduce the charge time of killer abilities. This included:
Wraith's disappearance.
Billy Chainsaw.
Hatchet charge up.
Doc's Shock.
Cannibal's Chainsaw.
The list goes on...

"Well, I can understand people being disappointed in the fact that ghostface wasn't the same as the movie. As a fan of the movie, I had some disappointment too."
Well as someone who sees Scream as a horror-comedy that is neither scary nor funny, I'm quite happy that Faceghost doesn't look like the silly little boy wrapped in a black curtain that we see in the franchise.
"Huntress came way before Clown. She came right after the Doctor."
That's why I said my favorite Killers design-wise are "all the Killers that came after Clown AND THEN Huntress."
Um, no. Scream is a satire, not a comedy. There are still some good jumpscares in there, and tries to be a faithful horror movie. Whether or not you laugh is up to you.
The point of the halloween costume for Ghostface is that anyone can be a suspect. It's an easy costume to acquire.
Sorry, your phrasing confused me.

Yeah, the art team is easily the most competent part of BHVR's Dead By Daylight team. They really sucked back in the day, but they started to upgrade around the Hag-Doctor era of the game, and then really kicked it up a notch from Clown onwards. My favorite Killers aesthetic-wise are all the ones added after Clown and then Huntress.
Hell, even Faceghost. Much like how the bootleg Bubba is somehow better than the real Bubba, their ripoff Ghostface looks WAY cooler than the original. He looks like he's actually dressed to be a serial murderer, instead of being dressed in a Halloween costume that an eleven-year-old got from Party City.
Well, I can understand people being disappointed in the fact that ghostface wasn't the same as the movie. As a fan of the movie, I had some disappointment too.
I like both looks, especially the blue one, which I use, but I do want a version of the movie one as a cosmetic in the future... hopefully.
Huntress came way before Clown. She came right after the Doctor.

LMAO leave hag alone.
Im one of those "place traps mid chase" kinda hags. The traps are fine, you just have to get better at how and where you place them. You also need to learn how to keep spamming traps to change up the battlefield. Once you get to trap spam it becomes more "randomized" for the survivors, they WILL trigger a trap sooner or later.
I am almost annoyed at how well I play hag. I literally have to back off and play other killers because she ranks me too fast.. I get DCs left and right on hag. I don't need this to get even worse. I have people who will literally DC the moment they know I am using Hag or Spirit, they will stick around any other time, but not those two. These are "pro flashlighters" too mind you.
Her traps are fine, they don't need to be tweaked. Her addons may need to be checked, but honestly hag is REALLY freakin good. If only I could play Plague as well as I play her, I'd be a happy camper (err.. not camper... you know what I mean.) Just maintain map pressure and awareness and you will fine.
Honestly, my proposition doesn't effect anything except survivors pushing their luck. XD
It does not effect trap setting speed.
It does not effect what it does to survivors.
It does not effect much at all.
It only punishes people for staying on the trap too long.
That is all.
I love the enthusiasm though. : D
