This actually isn’t good advice since you’ll struggle without it. Play without add ons while learning her.
Well, if Plaid cloth wasn't a purple addon, I'd disagree. I mean, what uses does it have besides a similar effect to the knight addon for Doctor?

I like how you think.
Unparking the HG should follow a very simple logic: if the totem which held the now parked HG hex power is still available for hexing (i.e. unlit and not destroyed) when placing the carried HG hex, the parked hex will be placed in this same spot, otherwise this parked hex disappears. Regarding your question: NOED taking this unlit totem would effectively make it unavailable, so the parked HG simply disappears.
The NOED placement should therefore be adjusted to prioritize unlit totems which do not contain a parked hex. It wouldn't be fair to loose a parked hex just because NOED randomly selects its totem while other totems will remain unlit and useless. (One might argue that NOED is strong enough as it is, but that's a topic for another time :-))
In case they introduce more hex perks which become lit once a certain condition is met they should behave like NOED: prioritize totems which do not contain parked hex powers.
In case they introduce hex perks which take up more than one totems like Haunted Grounds they should behave the same way like HG in terms of parking and unparking.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/620951#Comment_620951
I'll have to disagree for a couple of reasons:
- New strategies would come up where you "hide" the hex (by already carrying it) to lure them into a false sense of security. NOED is strong enough as it is, I don't like the idea to introduce new strategies to get even more use out of it.
- Survivors can't "stumble" upon NOED anymore and cleanse it which is a big part of every hex totem right now. (I realize that this is a very annoying thing for killers with the current state of the game but as long as this isn't adjusted by the devs I think this behavior should be the same for every hex.)
- Killers may have a disadvantage. Imagine the last gen pops, so NOED is now placed in your inventory. You're close to the doors and even see survivors, but the only unlit totems are across the map. There's no way to get anything out of NOED in this case.
- Only one hex may be carried at all times. If you already carry a hex and the last gen pops NOED will disappear because you're already holding a hex. Not a good thing to happen. You may argue with risk-reward, but I think this shouldn't apply here. You equipped NOED, so you should get your fair chance to use it.
While hiding NOED is still possible after picking it up yourself there's a price to pay: locating the totem, walking to it, and spending time to pick it up. This is a rather big price which I feel is fair.
Relocating NOED will be very hard before survivors are long gone and that's okay, because I don't think this is something a killer should want to do. While relocating hex powers can be very useful during the game there's not much time for doing that with NOED.
I just got up, please excuse spelling mistakes.
It's not as strong as you think it is. Especially in High Ranks. If they even suspect you of having it, they will destroy every totem.
Mistakes excused. We all make them.
-
The red one should just be changed for two hooks before a kill... except against SWFs. They deserve the normal one.
-
Theoretically, Purple perks are supposed to be better, and in some cases, they are.
However, some Green perks are really strong too. Sloppy butcher is a big one.
-
This is bait.

I really suggest doing so it's fun : P
I just often find myself too far away from gens to do anything to stop it. Might just be the way I play, that's all...
-
Red. Mostly because they have instaheals and instaflashlights... SWFs are there often, and they often bring a key and Object, making it hard for me to do anything...
I mean, I know it's possible but I don't have the skill to consistently beat SWFs.
-
Hag. Mainly because nobody else I play with knows how to counter her, while I do. So it ends up being a 1v1 by the end and trying to get the door is just nerve wracking...
I just realized I already responded to this. XD

It has its uses, it's a free form of surveillance whilst also decreasing terror radius to zero to allow for sneaky approach. Actually pretty good mind you.
I guess I just haven't played enough with it then. : P
-
The other's powers are simpler (some are one dimensional, others just have different ways of using that one ability). I'd love to experimentation with extra power buttons.
I have with this killer: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/80227/new-chapter-concept-the-arrival#latest
And on my Deviantart site, I've come up with several killer concepts that uses multiple power buttons. Such as:
The Sorceress (This I designed before the Plague was announced.)
The Knight
-
Here's all my favorite cosmetic combinations:
Trapper: Claw mark mask, with Bloody apron and the glowing orange/black weapon.
Wraith: Blighted wraith with BL ax.
Hillbilly: Trucker midriff with Camo pants and Onyx pickax.
Nurse: Black Bride. With the Rose default bonesaw.
Hag: Twisted Cosmetics. It makes her hard to see on most maps.
Doctor: Either Plague doctor head or Blighted head with blighted torso.
Myers: I only have the prestige knife.
Huntress: Bear head with Leather jacket. Weapon can be prestige ax or Hallowed Blight blade.
Leatherface: N/A
Freddy: Only have prestige claws
Pig: Only default.
Clown: Renaissance clothes with simple white mask.
Spirit: Red kimono with Oni Face paint. I'd use the red kimono's blade if I had it. : P
Legion: I like Julie's prestige 2 gear, but I also like Susie's purple sweater with Bloody smile mask.
Plague: I like the common gold cosmetics.
GF: I use the blue ghostface set. I do like the new slaughter set, but I'll stick with blue for now.

I'm having back to back games finding skeleton keys!
-
Flip Flop is decent. It needs no change.
Buckle up Needs a buff, maybe to effect range and maybe a bonus effect.
Mettle of Man is fine. It's a problem when you go against SWFs.
-
I prefer her older hair. The newer one just looks bad on console. : P
-
The best thing you can do is to try to stay in Tier 1 as much as possible. If you get into tier 2, it'll be tough, but tier 1 is better.
I can be stealthy against doc because I know to stay in T1 for as long as you can. Not always possible, but try that as much as you can.
-
If you're not good with judging blink distance, you can use Plaid Cloth. It will show you your blink destination.

Tinkerer update. As much as it was required and I love what tinkerer turned into, I miss insta hatchets, faster stalk, faster chainsaw etc. It was broken as all hell, but it was deffinately fun
Tinkerer is garbage right now. I don't know how they think that's a decent perk design. : P

Old Legion with exploits being fixed
I would love to see that.
-
I'd prefer they scrap the emblem system for killer and just make pipping based on how many kills they get. That way it would be more consistent, and you can know if you get Merciless better (I'm trying to get adept achievements here. Having consistency would help).
-
Honestly... The effects shouldn't be temporary. They should be until they wake up. That way it makes it like Freddy is manipulating their dreams, just like he should.
-
This will not effect SWFs, since they will often tell the others where they are. Making Knockout a useless perk against them.
-
I mean, I wouldn't mind if moris deranked killers because I don't care about ranks.
-
I see the problem, you went from Hag, a decent Killer, to Leatherface, a killer who is considered one of the worst (next to Legion). LF will have more trouble in higher ranks because more survivors will know how to counter him.
-
Flip Flop seems to work for me, maybe because they slug more, but I end up using it quite a bit. Using that with DS does good work.
Beast of Prey does not do it at T3 Bloodlust. It starts as soon as BL starts. Red Stain removal is for mind games, primarily.
Hangman's trick is bugged, as far as I know. It's decent on Trapper, who gains a secondary effect because his traps are fixed faster, but other than Trapper, nobody really benefits right now.

Blindness does not affect auras from jigsaw boxes.
Not the Blindness addon for her traps, but Hex: Third Seal does.
-
I like this concept. I even have a tweak for NOED. NOED would already be collected during the course of the game, then you can use the power on any unlit totem.
-
I would love to see Endgame Pig return, because it provided another playstyle for her. Now she's just:
- find a survivor
- down them
- put trap on immediately, so as to not be caught off guard by a gen rush
- Hook
- Rinse and repeat
It's boring, pressures you into using traps when you don't want to chase trapped survivors even if it's in your best interest to do so.
There isn't a lot of choice in how you play Pig. One or nothing.
-
Well... Blindness effects auras, so it's not completely useless. It effects certain perks:
- Object of Obsession
- Alert
- Kindred
- Bondage
- Bond
- Empathy
- Windows of Opportunity
- Deja Vu
- Wake Up
As well as effecting whether or not you can read maps, Use Red Key addons, or see hooked survivors after the initial indication. It can also stop you from seeing Jigsaw boxes, which can be very good for Pig.
Some of these perks are staples for Solo survivors, such as Bond/Alert/Empathy/Kindred. While others are for SWFs (Mainly Object).
So I would not want you to get rid of it, since it has its' usefulness.

It would work since the add on I'm suggesting changes the playstyle of Billy. Almost like playing a new killer.
Yep! That might be a good one!
I thought of one for Bubba:
His chainsaw has a long charge up, but he can infinitely swing his chainsaw until he downs a survivor or bumps an object, but with a very decreased terror radius. I'd call it: Iridescent Engine. A unique engine made from shaping the fog. One that pulses faintly with a warm heartbeat. Slow to start, but reliable until the end. A reward for doing well consistently in the trials.
-
@FrenziedRoach said:
Um, how about no?
It's pretty much universally accepted now that Spirit and Nurse are stronger than Billy. And depending on the person, some find Huntress stronger than him as well (and I'm a much better Doc than a Billy myself)
Nurse and Huntress are weaker on Console, so you do find more billies as a survivor.
-
@not_Queef said:
Pretty naive to assume everyone is close to the hook if you don't see any BBQ auras, given how much killers also insist that the perk has over 9000 counters.
Here's a tip for killers: You see those other auras? The ones that look like generators? Try checking on them. You might find me at one, demolishing your Gatekeeper emblem.
Well, it's not. Not really. Sure there are perks, gen hiding, and lockers, but who actually uses Distortion besides adept Jeff? Or Lone Survivor as Adept Laurie?
If you don't see someone, it's safer to assume that the person is coming for the save. After all, 40 meters is a fair distance. You could also have things to do, like PGTW gens, or breaking used pallets... Sometimes killers use other things to bait a save if they don't see all survivors.
-
Uh... this is someone who subscribes to the survivors rulebook for killers to the letter. XD
We don't have to play to your rules.
-
Maybe there should be a different type of cosmetic: Not Legacy, not Prestige, but something different but still related to the theme of the game.
-
I agree that killers should be buffed, but you came to that conclusion in the absolute wrong way.
- You were camping. This decreases the points you can get, as well as making people mad at you.
- You did not patrol gens.
- you assume that killer is the easier role right now. That is simply not the case.
- You did not use your mind to try to get others.
- Learn the mechanics/perks survivors can use/suffer from. Use this knowledge to make yourself better.

@Science_Guy said:
Initially Killer add-ons only went up to VR. Billy, and as of now the Nurse, have yet to have major overhauls since release, so neither of them have them.
Meanwhile, Tumtums' add-ons are based on Billy's.
Well, yeah.
They don't need major overhauls, they just need the option to play differently. Like an addon that can allow nurse to move at 115% movement speed, but at the cost of a lot of blink range.
-
@EvanRaven said:
They don't need ultra rares as they already have an instadown ability
Iridescent addons are less to improve the killer, but to change their playstyle drastically. For instance, Iridescent stone for Trapper means they don't have to set their traps if they don't want to. Stuff like that.
-
@DoomOrb said:
Well I don't really know a good add on for the chainsaw brothers as their powers are instadown. Perhaps it can be like... the chainsaw no longer instantly puts survivors to the dying state, but when you charge the chainsaw you still move at 115% movement speed, and the charge and turning are moderately increased.
For Leatherface the add on would change in acceleration instead of turning.
Is almost like a mini rework, and is not super overpowered either.
That can work... maybe it can replace Speed Limiter, since that one is basically useless.

Hey, I like it more. It's very situational, don't get me wrong, but I just like it more.

Yeah, it's more of a preference thing. I find I can get more from the mixtape, while you can get more from iri button...

So Mori's don't spawn people together, but you assume 2 people together = mori and then try to Kobe off the hook..
I mean; yeah; fix Shroud if it's broken, but it sounds like it's on you for assuming 'I spawned in a group. It's a mori.', not anything in the game being broken..
You never assume it's a mori if you spawn together. You assume it's a mori when the killer's offering is a secret.
I didn't assume you spawned in a group. I'm just pointing out a trend I've seen recently, about how survivors tend to spawn next to each other when the match starts most of the time. Even without any shroud offerings.
-
@Ceiling_Entity said:
I don't think any Mori affects spawn positions. At least, it does not say it does.
No it doesn't, but survivors have a tendency to spawn right next to each other 75% of the time, and that's without shroud of binding/union.
-
@Shad03 said:
@0EvanRaven That isn't entirely accurate. Myers and Ghost Face both have built in insta downs and both have two iridescent add ons, of which Ghost Face needs a iridescent add on rework as both are 'Meh'.
@Raven014 The Iridescent Button is actually really good now, being able to freely vault pallets and breaking it without needing to first hit some body shuts down a lot of loops. I believe you meant the Fuming Mixtape.
And all killers deserve iridescents, and since Nurse and the Chainsaw Brothers are getting their add ons looked into, this is a perfect opportunity.
I find Iri button to be not as useful in a match. Sure, it destroys a pallet and allows you to see where people are across the map, but the Fuming mixtape can tell you where you're needed most (which gen to go to). So... I view the FM as more valuable.
GFs addon security cameras is weak, but GF caught on tape is decent if used correctly.

Honestly I don’t see why they didn’t make it this way in the first place. It’s just another time-waster and momentum-blocker for the Killer really.
Maybe they assumed that most people would know not to hide in lockers vs. a huntress...

Makes sense to me....

There are no difference. PC, Xbox and Ps4. All 3 have the same killers with the same powers. The only difference is that Nurse is harder to learn, but once you take enough pratice, she will be the same as a PC Nurse. So yeah, same game, same tier list.
Um.. no. That's not how it works. Sure the mechanics are the same, but a controller makes it harder for certain killers (Hag, Legion, and Nurse), while others are not really effected.
That, and Frame rates suck on Xbox sometimes: Especially on Haddonfield and a few other maps. You can blink perfectly, or run them around perfectly as Legion, but then miss the hit because your frames made you think you were in range when you weren't. There is a big difference.
And this will continue to be the case until consoles catch up with computers.
-
Spirit's good, but trapper also is decent. Freddy's good still, although pallets tend to work more than snares.
Nurse isn't as easy since pinpoint turns aren't as easy with a controller.
Bubba also isn't as good either.
-

Nurse doesnt have iridescent addon.
That is also true. But she doesn't need one... unless one to change the way she plays drastically.

Nah, sleeping doesn't do much. Before it hindered progress, but he had to apply it manually. Now there are 3 ways to wake up.

- Clock
- Other Players
You don't need a perk for something so easy.

The killer mains are just little babies that think every little thing that survivors do is OP and unfair.
I'm getting sick of survivors being constantly nerfed into oblivion becomes killers can't learn to adapt then as a soon as a survivor suggests a revert to one of their nerfs or a change to killers they start going crazy as if the world is going to end.
Killer mains need to stop being so ridiculous
Well, us killers are sick of getting all the nerfs (Freddy rework exception). Almost every balance change is in survivor's favor.
Survivors complain about PLENTY:
NOED
Camping (a non-issue)
Nurse
and Spirit.
And that's it. Everything that survivors find challenging to go against, they want nerfed into the ground. It makes us killers not want to deal with you.
-
I get Grim Pantry way too often... that or Ironworks of Misery. I hate those two with a passion.
