Freddy Teleport Rules?

So, I can't figure this out. Are there any rules to determine which way Freddy faces after he teleports to a gen? Originally, I thought that he faced back the way you were coming from, but that was pretty easy to disprove. Then, I thought maybe he popped out on the opposite side of the gen from where he's standing, but that doesn't seem right either. He's also not showing up in the direction that you start the TP from.


Are there any rules to this power, or do you just have to take a moment to reorient yourself every time you TP with him?

    I think the side you go to is random... but it'll try to make you go the direction you're already facing as well. Sometimes though, it doesn't have that option.
