I would love a Resident Evil Paragraph
One Survivor and cosmetics for the original 4 Survivors like Left 4 Dead
They've once said that they would love to get Joel into the game in one of their previous streams. Last of Us Chapter maybe?
Survivors - Joel and Ellie
Killer - Clicker or a Bloater.
Map - Quarantine Zone? Bill's Town? University?
A Last of Us would most likely be a PS4 exclusive chapter, if they were to do it, because Sony is very possessive over their successful franchises.
-
Not exactly a license, but I'd love to see a knight as a killer. That or a plague doctor proper. Something medieval.
I also wouldn't want more licensed killers for right now just because you can't earn them in game.

Insta-saw is terrible on bubba, his power works at MUCH more loops with Beast Marks and Knife Scratches.
Well, I'm saying what I like to use. I did say I have been using award winning Chili and Lightweight frame more recently though.

The pipping system is an absolute joke. You can do everything right but gatekeeper screws you over because you can't control that without certain perks!
Not to mention adept achievements based off of double pipping. At rank 3 it's much worse than what you've got right now.
Pipping should be based on the points you earn in game, if we even keep the pipping system. That way you can keep track of your progress and know if you did well.
-
Not for their perks, but at least their ranks. Seeing what rank survivors are can tell you whether or not they can use the perks they bring well.
-
Yeah, why isn't that a thing? Do they think console players can't reach rank 10? I would've gotten both ages ago... Same with the Master Killer, Master Survivor (rank 5 for each).
Same with the Getting the Hang of it (Raise your rank for the first time) and Holiday Get Together (Hook three people in the basement). Why haven't those been added as well?
-
Time has never been the issue. The huntress is from WW1, and she was one of the first DLCs.
And of course they've been getting stronger. Every time more maps have been added, their strength has been clearly getting stronger, little by little.

Damn, so we get tunneled for using off meta perks now? rip lol
Only for Deliverance, because of it's effect on the killer's snowball effect. That's it.

The whole point of frenzy is to run and stab people. I would not want this change. It makes no sense.

Deliverance is one that I immediately thought of but there might be more. If you're the first one chased and hooked, the entire perk is rendered useless since you can't Kobe off the second hook.
Yeah, that's why it's not meta. If I see someone use that, I immediately tunnel them to second hook because it's resetting killer progress in the game. I do not respect it.

Trapper: Iridescent Stone with Tar bottle: Traps will open on their own, eliminating a lot of the time you need, and traps are nearly invisible on most maps, meaning you can leave them there.
Wraith: All seeing rune (ultra rare) and Coxcomb wax: You can see all survivors at 12 m, and get close without making a sound.
Billy: Primer Bulb and Marks of Doom: Most of the added time for the charge up is eliminated by primer bulb and you can move around the map really fast.
Nurse: I don't play nurse enough, but I'd say no addons. I can do just fine without any addons.
Shape: Tombstone Piece and J. Myers Memorial Flyer (Red Tombstone myers is also fun with the red hair addon): I just love tombstone myers. There is even a tactic to conserve evil within by mori'ing right before the T3 ends, so that it expires during the mori, so you get half of your evil within back.
Hag: Rusty Shackles and Mint Rag: Traps are invis and you can teleport to them at any time.
Doctor: Iridescent King and Mouldy electrode: You can give survivors so many afflictions that they won't know what you're running. Most of the time, people just don't know what to do against this. If I see them, they will light up red. I'll never lose them because I can see their hallucinations in Madness 2... not to mention fake pallets...
Huntress: While instadowns are nice, I end up running Oak handle and Flower Babushka are the best combo. Better recovery from hatchet throws and faster charging ends up getting me hatchet hits when I normally wouldn't.
Bubba: Instasaw is best for bubba, although I have been using Award winning chili and lightweight frame so that my chainsaw doesn't have that long a bump time but can still move fast.
Nightmare: Any Pallet Addon with Nancy's Masterpiece. If you pair these with Pop goes the weasel, you can teleport to gens a lot, especially against a team that doesn't wake up.
Pig: Either Crate of Gears/Tampered timer or Amanda's Letter/Leather straps. The latter only if I can secure an indoor map or with Devour Hope for obvious reasons.
Clown: I'm just bad as clown, so I don't know what addons are best. If you can hit bottles, I guess redhead pinky is good, but I don't really know.
Spirit: A lot of people say Prayer beads, and I can't fault that, but I think the purple amulet with the Mother daughter ring is best. You can move super fast, and right now, there's a glitch with the M/D ring where I can still see the scratch marks. Until they patch it, M/D ring is going to be top tier for me.
Legion: I love the Fuming Mixtape/ Yellow Ruler addon combo, as well as Iri button green sketchbook combo. With the first two, you'll be in frenzy a lot more often, so you'll see gen progress and know where to go. The second combo will let you know where anyone is when you hit someone with frenzy, break pallets in your way, and you can get there.
I'm not good enough with Plague, but I'd say the ones that recover from vile purge are great. As well as the Black Incense.
GF: Chewed Pen and Night vision monocular. You can stalk quickly and recover quickly.
-
Matchmaking has been iffy the past few days. I'm a rank 3 killer going against white ranks. I wish killers could see survivor ranks in the lobby, that way we can know whether to tryhard or just chill.

At the rate the game's printing money, I doubt they'd abandon it for a sequel with none of the licenses or anything.
That is true... perhaps they could get the likeness for some of the characters that need it (Freddy and Quinten) while they're at it.

So could we just agree that both sides have some good perks.
But killer have more perks with counter play.
And THANA is not a good perk.
Its like "Remember Me".
Not worth running.
Remember when Remember me had 6 tokens and was actually good? Yeah, I miss it too...

lol wait wait wait.
Survivors have more really good perks than killers??? Where?
The only top tier perks survivors have are Adrenaline, Lithe/Balanced Landing (used almost interchangeably), and Borrorwed Time. D-strike just gets you tunneled and Dead Hard works maybe once if the killer is good. Every time after that, they'll wait til you use it then just hit you after so it's trash to me.
But there aren't survivor perks that are required to have a chance, similar to Ruin or Corrupt intervention. You can of course not run them, but you're placing yourself at a major disadvantage against higher rank survivors... who probably have the meta build: Adrenaline, Exhaustion perk 1, BT and DS.
DS doesn't encourage tunneling, since they have such a lengthy amount of time for the DS to be used after an unhook. It's often not worth it to go after them.

Have you guys read the first post?
I know how to counter 360s, you wait and hit but that makes you waste time, time you wouldn't waste on a mouse.
Play mouse and controller then express your opinion please
I did. Your statement was confusing. You just go everywhere. I think you're wrong that it effects console more, because I have seen evidence of games that are dragged on for ages on PC, and games where the killer wins really easily on console.
-
I agree with this. Sometimes I teleport to the wrong place when I don't mean to...
-
I usually don't have a problem with this... but then again, I haven't gone against many 360s. My advice is if you know a survivor is going to 360, just wait until they circle close then quick hit them instead of lunging.

Didn't the Devs say they only wanted the game to last 10 years?

Remove the pip requirements and make it a simple 4k. Either that or make Survivor adepts require a double pip instead of simply surviving a match.
I agree with this. There are times where I think I double pipped only to be slapped in the face by Gatekeeper or Chaser (mainly on Clown and Plague).

Kindred trumps any stealth abilities. So it shouldn't be affected
This isn't a stealth ability. Ultimately, we'll just have to wait and see how this new status effects the game. My prediction is that it will not effect killers in stealth.

@Atrushan88 said:
@TheMythicalCat That's literally the point of Alert, to know where the killer is when they're kicking a gen/breaking a pallet. Also, as Wraith, there's literally no difference from any other killer being seen by Alert. You know if they're coming before they come, or you know which direction they're going to avoid it. That's literally the point of the perk. Also the quote from Feng Min is kind of pointless as well with this change. She says "I have True Sight". True Sight is an ability in MOBAs that gives you complete visual knowledge of an opponent, meaning you reveal stealth as well. Twisted Fate in League of Legends is a prime example of True Sight. If for example a Vayne uses her ult, TF can use his ult to completely cancel her stealth.
@ad19970 I don't understand how people see the logic in "aura reading counters a killer's entire power!". First off, it alerts you to the location of a killer under specific circumstances. It doesn't reveal their terror radius or red stain. It also doesn't remove the secondary effects of their power. Pig can still dash, Wraith still gets a speed boost, GhostFace can still stalk, etc etc etc. How does seeing their aura counter their entire ability when those things still work? I see people say "entire power" all too often, but honestly the only thing it does is reveal their aura for a few seconds. It works the exact same way across all killers, and making certain killers immune, will again, render the perk useless because no one's gonna use a perk that has a 1/4 chance to be unable to work when they need it to. It already feels bad if you're playing against a Scratched Mirror Myers, but the chances of that happening are so low that the perk still will get use most of the time. Increasing the potential for it to NOT have a use, decreases the chances of that perk getting used significantly. Imagine if BBQ didn't have any bonus BP and wouldn't work if a Claudette was crouched. That's the logic of people saying Alert will still see use.
While I agree that Alert didn't need to be nerfed, this really isn't such a big deal. So few people use stealth killers that it's almost a non-issue.
-
I want to try this at reset. This would be difficult at Rank 4. : P
Suzie would be perfect for this.
Here's the perks I'd use: Dying Light, Save the best for last, Play with your food (letting the obsession go), and BBQ so you can find your obsession again.
-
I like the hex idea. That can combo with Thrill of the hunt to create a trap. Maybe even with Huntress Lullaby. My only suggestion is to make it effect all hex totems.
I also like the third perk, since it counters Spirit/Enduring that is popular. It encourages a Brutal Strength/Looper combo.
-
I just kill and report them. They make a game harder for survivors, so it's more of an advantage. I might give a survivor that isn't them hatch, but that's a rare thing.

Wait, what? Do you really expect the survivors to play hide and seek for the entire game? One of them are going to get caught eventually so punishing them for it is just stupid and it won't get any gens done fast enough. Plus, imagine if all 4 survivors played immersive throughout an entire game. That sh*t would take forever. I don't see how survivors are getting rewarded for surviving the killer because they're just trying to live and nothing else. Just because it says it in the lore doesn't mean it applies to the gameplay of DBD. You should already know this as a rank 4 killer, which is why people are calling out on your bs.
No. I'm just saying that survivors shouldn't complain if they don't get as many emblem points for a chase than hiding. They also shouldn't complain that there aren't any perks that charge during a chase.
The original point is that, no, chases aren't incentivised, since they claimed they were.
-
They're already adding a status effect to buff all stealth killers called oblivious. It stops the reading of a killer's aura when stealthed, so Object of Obsession can't see a wraith everywhere, nor can they see a pig or ghostface when in stealth. This is also a nerf to Alert and Kindred.

Legion has the fewest cosmetics of the non licensed killers... I wouldn't be surprised if that trend continues...

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/658744#Comment_658744
Yeah this is BS because you get better ranking for extended chases and running the killer around. It's literally part of the emblem system.
You get more points in chaser for ending chases faser, not prolonging them. You also get more points for remaining hidden near the killer than being chased by the killer (Note, I'm not referring to BPs, those are effected differently).
You get 2.2 points per second if you remain hidden within 20 m of the killer. (It becomes greater the closer you get). Multiply that by 60 seconds and you get 132 points for stealthing near a killer (this counts with camping killers and their TR doesn't effect this).
Being chased awards 1 point per second (within 5 meters, it increases by 120%) multiply that by a 60 seconds and you get 60 points per minute being chased.
To get an iridescent Emblem for evader, the relevant emblem, you will need 880 points total. You would need to be hidden for 6 minutes. For the same in a chase you need to be chase for 14 minutes total. This does not include pallet stuns, which there should be at least 4 per person, which shortens the time to 11 minutes total.
It is better overall for pipping to be a stealthy survivor than a chase happy survivor.
So, in essence, you are not rewarded for being in a chase. The game does not incentivise chases. So no perk should incentivise a chase, even a minor one like Diversion. What I would do is buff Diversion in a different way, but that's it.
If you dispute the numbers, I got them from here: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Emblems

Sorry but this is bs now. I don't agree at all with what you say.
It's BS? In what way? If you want to discuss something, expect people to disagree and provide answers as to why they disagree.
I'm also taking the lore into account when I say survivors aren't supposed to be in a chase. Your chances of escaping increases by stealthing around killers instead of running around them in a chase. But hey, I'm just a Rank 4 killer, what do I know?
-
I would position myself as a potential killer, mainly the type that would disguise as a survivor. Maybe I'll eventually turn into one, but it's better than being completely consumed by the entity.
-

Assuming the rules are the same as the game, I would educate every single person I met on how to be as toxic as humanly possible. "See that window? Hillbilly has to vault it to keep chasing you, run around it in circles." "Ok, but hear me out, if you LOOP the pallets they last longer." "If you're hooked, we can see you, so wave your arms if he's standing close to you so we don't get hooked too." /sarcasm
That aside, I would learn what blessing the Entity has given to me (perks) and do my best to survive. However, assuming the lore of all survivors eventually becoming killers is true, I would seek to accelerate this process... Better to be the predator than the pray /edgy
It's either that they become a killer or are consumed completely.
-
It's really high rank SWFs I have issues with, since they can abuse mechanics to great effect and ruin games for killers that fall prey to it. Only Spirit and Nurse really have an honest chance in that situation.

And why shouldn't it reward good chase play?
Because there are other options already for good chase play. You get BPs and all exhaustion perks already help in a chase.
As a survivor, you're not meant to get into chases. The whole point is to escape, and killers will catch you during a chase (unless they're new or potatoes...). You shouldn't get a reward for getting caught out by a killer.
Diversion does need a buff though, but I wouldn't be the one to come up with it.

No. If keys were basekit, killer would be made so much harder.

Blighted Plague also might be an interesting matchup... to see what happens with two things like that.
-
Legion or Spirit
-
For the same reason that Stake Out doesn't charge when in a chase. It rewards not being sloppy around the killer. It rewards good stealth play.
It's very strong against new killers and ones that don't expect it.

I would also like for legion's power to be a little bit lethal. Give him the ability to down people purely through his power if played well. This would separate bad legion players from good legion players much more frequently.
-
Haha no. It denies a killer of points and the Devout seal. That would be a middle finger to killers.
Sometimes killers use Infectious Fright, or simply see another survivor and decide to chase them. You should not punish them for distracting them. Or that they guess (perhaps correctly) that you have DS.
If you're sick of slugging, then bring unbreakable or no mither. Most people don't expect no mither, and will have to hook you, even on a slug build, wasting their time.
-
Haha.. no.
If you haven't been moving for at least a minute near a killer, you should be found. Survivors should not be passive in hiding.

You basically lose the game on PS4 If Ruin is up for more than 5 minutes. Ruin skill checks seem to be extremely hard for console users to hit for some reason lol
Part of the issue on console is lag and framerates. It's hard to hit greats when your frames lie to you.
-
They have the advantage of team coordination. So while you're in a chase, the other three will be working on gens.
-
I thought he'd be better if he got a kit like this: (I came up with this concept ages ago):
Killer's Kit:
Movement speed: 115%
Terror Radius: Slightly Smaller (20 meters)
Main attack: stab down with the knife, then wipe blood same way as in Scream (same animation as now).
Main ability: An Alibi (The current tech doesn't support this, but dedicated servers that are coming might help, idk.)
Lockers in the map now have the ghostface costume in them (regardless if a Ghost is there or not). GF can use the lockers to "become" the accomplice (if they became a GF) or Billy Loomis (if they are as normal). When disguised they act just like survivors, but cannot interact with gens. They cannot attack normally, but can gen grab.
One survivor will be the "accomplice", and can become ghostface as well. They can win with the killer if they hook two people, however, they can also win by being a survivor. The original killer can become a survivor by hiding in the locker and changing into a look alike to the assistant survivor.
When the assistant is near people, the auras of the others are shown to ghostface directly to a max of 50 meters away (standard terror radius is 36 meters).
More Devious points are given if you sacrifice the assistant, even though sacrificing them isn't required.
Teachable Perks:
Relentless Rage: During a chase, if the survivor goes through a window or slams a pallet, you gain a token, at 5, they become exposed. You lose tokens after a chase or when you are stunned with a pallet.
What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?: Based on which killer, generators will ask questions about the different chapters. (If Micheal Myers has it equipped they'll be about Halloween, etc.). If the survivor from the same chapter is there, then they will be repaired 25% faster. If they aren't, they'll be repaired at a 50% rate.
Look Behind You!: The Killer will have no red stain out of a chase, but they will have double a red stain in the chase. Grabbing survivors gives you 2x more bloodpoints. Devious actions give more points.
