But that's just a way he killed them. It's not in his nature to simply keep someone alive.
That part is true. He doesn't keep them alive. But he has hung people in the past. : P

Almost nobody brings Rancor or Obsession perks? Think again. I've ran into plenty of Spirit mains who ran Rancor. It's a pretty popular perk for people who hate Decisive Strike. Dying Light is another one too. Plenty of killers bring it. You can't act like it isn't a popular perk.
I didn't say or obsession perks, I said Rancor or Dying Light. That is very different. This means the obsession isn't the target (at endgame or early game) most of the time. That is misrepresenting what I said. I bring PWYF or STBFL on certain killers all the time, since they have benefits that they can work well with (wraith can get out of a chase easily, and Bubba can one hit down people with PWYF, while most M1 killers, and legion, can take advantage of the reduced cooldown of STBFL).
If Remember Me was back to its' old stats, I'd bring it more often.
Furtive Chase is very situational.
Then again it might just be the area I'm in, but I do not see those perks often at all.

They don't have the same reasoning as Freddy though. The Demogorgon can exist and is still quite lethal in the real world as well as the upside-down.
It's also a beast, and not sentient. It really isn't smart like the way humans can be.

MoM was way different than DS.
Old DS was waayyyy better
It's less that they repeat that, but that they nerf a powerful survivor perk right before releasing a new powerful survivor perk.

darkness among us is by far the worst chapter ever in my opinion, weak killer and terrible map, the only good thing is that we have our lord and savior jeff johansen
Dischordance and Mad Grit came with that chapter, so I don't think It's a complete loss. I like how even the survivor has a connection with their map.
-
I'm for it. Too bad survivor mains would just cry a little.

I would love for the Archives to have animations of a similar quality to the intro cinematic, but I doubt it'd happen.
Hey @Peanits, are the archives going to have cinematics like the Hallowed Blight event or are they going to be like the intro cinematic? I'd understand the decisions for having either one. I'd just like to know which style you guys are going with if possible...
But if you can't say, you can't say.
-
This idea has made the rounds, but I've heard it explained why they'll never do that, because they would have to re-color every cosmetic in the store for that. It's not a seperate layer, it's the whole texture of the thing.
So, not likely to happen.

Well, it's wrong to see them behave like that, but the entity rules the realm and may torture it until it does what the entity wants.
They did mention it was untameable in its' description though, so maybe it has a different playstyle then that.

Good point.
at least with myers you can roleplay with an instant mori without using hooks.
Myers hangs people in the original movie. One with rope, and one a knife through the gut.

I'm just curious what the ability is going to be. Demogorgon doesn't have the widest array of powers
Could be:
- Electrical interference (DBD Trailer)
- Teleportation (It can cross worlds)
- Stealth (Crawling, although different to Pig and GF)
Then again, I've only seen snippets of the thing on Youtube, so I can't say for sure...

Isn't Legion supposed to be the devs take on Ghostface? I don't think a second and a half would be unbearable. By hitting the DS, the survivor puts themselves at risk for all types of Obsession perks, including Rancor.
No. GF was never the one to run after people like Legion does. And Legion looks a lot more like Hoodie the proxy instead of GF. Unless you have a quote or any indication from them, you can't assume that.
Almost nobody brings rancor or dying light, so there really is no downside to being the obsession most of the time.

Sure there might be more greens, but don't forget only 2-1 purples usually spawn per bloodweb on average, and they could be cut coin, the branch the mist or Billy's other purple offerings too
But there are fewer purple addons to choose from, so you can accumulate purple addons more quickly than green ones. For example, I have more Infantry belts than oak hafts for Huntress. and that's just one example.
-
In my area, I seem to go against a lot of SWFs, sometimes they run OoO, and it's annoying because I can't possibly sneak up to any of them then they have one person telling them all the time where I am.
It just adds to the frustration overall.
-
I think the Legion does hang out together, but the rest just wait around the edges of the bonfire area. Most don't think like people do anymore, so it's hard to know what they are thinking.

Thing is billy is balanced. Even "insta saw" is balanced its just powerful, which is why I don't think or believe it needs to be nerfed. Shifting it's rarity up, so there is simply less occurances of this would be nice. Expecially with an add-on with so little downsides
Technically not a nerf. You'd be more likely to get a Purple Carburetor tuning guide than a Green since there are more green addons out there. So it's actually a small buff, but not one that matters.
-
I'm fine with this, but I'd also like to see Prayer Beads as an Ultra Rare and Spirit glasses as rare.
-
If Legion got made even worse (dunno how but I have a feeling they would), then probably Freddy or Spirit.
-
I think the favorite for me has to be the Duo Killer, made by @Jallybwan. Of course, I haven't seen many besides mine, so I can't really say any other than that. : P
-
Gutsy would be paired with DS and become unbearable. Other than that I see nothing wrong... except we already have Legion which is kind of a highschool/college killer.
-
I'd love this becasue sometimes I'd like to not go against 4 man SWFs sometimes...
-
Haha no. That would give an advantage against those who do not have the option of a mouse/keyboard.
-
Not all achievements need a buff. Some are meant to be hard to get. I got this on my 5th try, and on a swamp map of all things. It can be done, but you will have to be patient.
I think you should be able to mori on the ground too, since that's how normal moris work, but that's unlikely to change.
Of course your build is also going to help you or hinder you. I'd reccomend at least having PWYF and Dying Light. That way you can get stacks to be 15% faster and slow the game down by a large margin.
-
It's because survivors abused it when they implemented that mechanic before.

It is less disorienting since it will try to make you face the direction you are facing when teleporting.
-
The power sounds... weak... madness by itself isn't strong, but the inversion of controls can be very powerful... but also has no real no counterplay.
Search & Destroy sounds like a better Beast of Prey.
Hex: Clairvoyance would be the best perk he has. A lot of survivors rely on Spine Chill, and would be a great perk for any stealth killer.
Projection sounds like a worse Bitter Murmur.

I mean, I'm for it. It works for me now, but yeah, I could see the other working too.

True... I remember that too.
...but the realm of the entity is flexible... or they just are forced to use Heavy engine playstyle even without the addons.

Maybe the speed increase could be just .5% across all perk levels on Masochism... Nothing too game breaking on the killer! I would make it so if they’re in the terror radius while she’s in the air, they would hear flapping instead. Also, ultra-rare addons ARE red addons. So there’s basically 4 ultra-rares lmao.
Her wings are metal and use jet propulsion. So flapping may not be the best audio cue, but I see what you're thinking.
However, I think survivors would notice the absence of Noise very easily... especially if they are on a gen.
Not really? Bloody fingernails actually decreases the effectiveness of DF, Heavy Engine makes the Angel harder to play, since you'd have a lengthy stun for a miss or a collision. Improved audio sensors are unreliable in locating, but they can be a discount whispers, and Titanium Frame isn't the best version of that series. That's how I'd disagree with that.
-
Don't get rid of Regression. It's a core mechanic that needs to stay. I can't tell you how many times regression has saved my from losing a critical gen.
-
@StarOFF said:
I love the idea! I would change a few things, like with crossed wires, it could have a 50/55/60% if it explodes in a 25/30/40 Meter radius, it starts regressing at 60/55/50 seconds, regresses 1/1.5/2% faster, and locks up for 60/65/70 seconds.
And with Elegance, I just don’t understand it. I would say it allows you to vault pallets at 65/75/85% of your NORMAL vaulting speed. Your vaulting speed is increased by 3.5/4/4.5%. The vaulting speed increase doesn’t increase the vaulting speed of pallets. Pallets dropped within 8/16/24 meters of you reveals the aura of the survivor that dropped the pallet for 3/4/5 seconds. Dropped/Dropped and standing pallets within your terror radius have their auras shown.
Internal Mechanism, you work on gens 5/10/15% faster but you get 30/23/16% smaller skill check success zones. Also, when you are in the hearing range of a generator that isn’t completed, you see the aura of it. Also, kind of like Deja Vu, you see the farthest generator’s aura from you when you start the match, and every 2/2/generator completed. You see the aura of the exit gate farthest from you when the final generator is completed. You also see the aura of the hatch once 4/3/3 generators are done, and this prevents the hatch from spawning in a different location when the next generator is done.
Internal Suffering: If you take a hit for another person from the healthy state, the perk activates. You gain endurance for 40/45/50 seconds. When you get hit when this perk is activated (when you have endurance), you become broken for 50/45/40 seconds, but the speed boost from getting hit is .5/1/1.5 second(s) longer. This perk can only be activated every 60/55/45 seconds.
Masochism: For each hit you take, you gain a token, up to a max of 2/3/4. Each token increases your speed by .5/1/1.5%, and your altruistic actions by 10/20/30%. Your tokens are reset every time you get hooked, but you have a second chance to attempt escape on the hook from the half-way mark of the non-struggle phase, as long as your attempt escape phase was not finished. This won’t happen if you escape the hook on your own unless you’re the last survivor. Your luck is increased by 2%.
Crossed wires is designed to punish greedy players who happen to be unlucky. It would also slow down gen progress. So maybe adding the regression penalty would be good as well.
I can see it working with Distressing and Unnerving Presence really well.
Elegance: You cross windows more quickly, but you can also cross pallets with a normal vault speed.
Internal Mechanism: That change makes sense since it's not ambiguous wording. I don't think the hatch changes location, however.
Internal suffering: This change makes sense.
Masochism: That change makes sense. Movement speed increase would just be broken.
What are your thoughts on the base kit of the Angel and her addons? Nothing too gamebreaking right?
-
10 Jigsaw boxes is impossible, no addon combo can let you have more than 6. If you're exaggerating, then I understand...
What are you talking about, even with a mori you still have to patrol. Otherwise, you'll just be letting them get gens and in turn be unable to mori them. A mori isn't a garuntee win for the killer. You still have to find a survivor at least twice. In Red ranks that can be hard since they always make it more impossible to do anything.
But it is. A mori has multiple ways to use it. You can use it to get rid of someone you think an early threat, remind survivors this game is about the killers, or use it as a last hook so they can't complain.
It does change it because Moris don't give as many points and don't give you a BBQ reading. It absolutely changes how you play.

It sounds interesting in theory however, in practice it is very abusable. I imagine some killers would just stand in front of one of the totems and block the cleanse action, thus holding the game hostage. I like the idea of The Entity being more present in the trial i.e. blocking exit gate switches. Although, I'm not sure this perk would work well.
I could make it like Haunted grounds where multiple are lit but one has to be cleansed...

We already have to compete with NOED and endgame collapse plus the possibility of camping and tunneling Killers. This perk basically stops us survivors from even escaping. Killers have it easy enough, this perk defeats the purpose of escaping if we don't want to do 100% objective completion, which should be an option not a necessity. You want this perk in, fine, but let that buff to perks be on the survivor side (DS, BT, and other anti- FC and tunnel perks) not another of your endgame perks when the game structure already (EGC) gives you a buff.
I was considering higher ranks when I made this perk design. Most of the time all the totems are destroyed, so NOED is effectively useless.
And good killers will not tunnel or camp, because it's in their best interest not to do so.
Pig got really nerfed in Endgame. I miss Endgame Piggy, when you save your traps for the end and then watch as they try to get them off...
By the way, BT and DS are still strong. If you run into a locker you force the killer to eat the stun. BT rewards farming in front of the killer. I want those two balanced more.

While a werewolf killer would be dope, the whole creepypasta killer concept is cringy.
Hey, at least give mine a look first before judging.
And that's not the only concept I have. I have a few. I'm currently tweaking a knight killer concept. : P
-
Ok, I disagree because:
- Setup for traps
- Traps have to be triggered
- they can be disabled with flashlights
- they have a minimum range for TP
-
Michael is good at endgame, while GF is not. GF is also weaker to SWFs, which matters when I pick who to play. If I get a group of SWFs, then I'd rather have michael, because my 1 hit downs aren't going to be taken away from me when playing.
That being said, I like GFs design more than Myers, but Myers is a classic design.
I do have a build that makes up for the endgame weakness of GF, in which I use Agitation/Iron Grasp/Mad Grit/NOED so that I can one hit down people who are really altruistic very quickly.

@Atrushan88 said:
@Raven014 Arriving at the same time is pretty much wrong 95% wrong in my experience. When I play survivor I appear in a lobby at the same time as all other players almost EVERY time, but I'm not in a SWF. When I notice survivors with the same cosmetics, it depends. If there are 3 default outfits, most likely they're just leveling those characters and playing the same as I do, leveling the character they play as, etc. Namewise etc, sure. Either way, this new offering to replace moris would do a fine job of dealing with SWF in general anyways, as they'd be having to deal with ther own things that SWF really wouldn't be a part of in helping, other than unhooking/healing. You can't help someone with dismantling traps, taking off RBTs, etc. For example, with the Pig's trial, having 4 RBTs on your head(and activated) at the start basically means you're on a timer. You can't do all that SWF stuff while you have an active RBT.
It'd be more engaging for both sides without the whole "K I'm gonna hook you, wait for you to be unhooked, and then come back and kill you instantly, meaning you barely get to play" style of gameplay.
I end up being right when that happens to me, so I must just be in a different region to you.
Pig's Bear Traps are easy.
I never play that way, and conflating those who use moris as that is just not helping. It's not the offering, it's the user who uses it. Some are like that, while some (like me) use it instead of a last hook.
