I like the base kit, but... the addons... no. Just no. All killers need some counterplay. Most new survivors don't even know to look for the shimmer, while experienced survivors can bully him easily. Iri cloak removes that as an option. Pair that with coxcomb clapper iri addon and he'll be hard to play against. Unless in a chase, but you'd have to know where he's coming from first.
The Key system is fine for Pig. I just wish that you could see what boxes have the keys for which trap (like, 1st trap will have a 1 above it or something, you just have to remember which trap you put on which person). That way you could check on them like a gen every so often.

P3 level 50 is the highest you can level any character. P3 is all that matters for the bloody cosmetics, however.

It NEVER fluctuates to be more killers than survivors.
It's not often, but there have been times when this has been the case (mainly hallowed blight, where to get all the cosmetics you can get you had to play killer. People who main survivor all went killer at the beginning of the event to get it out of the way).

I could not see this being a killer in the game due to the fact that we have so many killers like that now it's a amazing idea but i think dbd will get alot of hate because firstly they wouldn't know who the character is secondly people would get mad because technically we already have characters like that example:freddy or the demogorgan and people will be pissed off if you just transfer to one world then appear right next to them in the next i mean you can spam that ability like no ones buisness ultimately i think it would turn out like legion one of the worst characters in the game and on the killers favor most of the time when the game is initially supposed to be balanced
I've never watched stranger things, and didn't know who amanda was before DBD, so... when has that stopped anyone?
Also, use some punctuation. It only helps if you can put your ideas into multiple sentences instead of just 1 long run on sentence.
-
I think that build is best summarized for the killer as: Damned if you do, Damned if you don't. If you let them go, they essentially get an instaheal. If you aren't able to get them before a locker, you get DS. Killers shouldn't get no win situations. EVER.

@Raven014 Yes. As Hex Skillchecks are the same as Great Skillchecks they would. This is why powering through Ruin (aka ignoring the perk and just doing gens) would be ineffective at some point, because there wouldn't be Hex/Great Skillchecks anymore you could hit.
This would also cause Hex Ruin to lead to your ruin if you do not find it, as it should imo. Because it's the same for Hex Devour Hope. You can't find it fast after 3 tokens' Exposed Status? Well RIP.
That makes sense.

I thought so too when that happened. The Freddy one was so nerve wracking! XD

Both sides are justified in my book. With no speed perks or toolboxes, a single gen can be repaired in just over 1 minute by one person.
A mediocre survivor can hold a chase for over 3 minutes...sure they’ll have to use most safe pallets to do so making all future chases much easier, but by then 3 gens just popped.
From a survivor perspective, it’s what they are supposed to be doing! No one can ever fault them for that, and I often wish randoms in my games would PTFO a little more.
Maybe we can spawn on 5 gens onto the map at the beginning of the game, and the last 2 appear on the map only after a gen is complete. So not all gens will even be spawned until the first 2 gens are completed.
This won’t favor either side too much, but not knowing where those other 2 gens will spawn can help. As a survivor, they may have wasted the ‘Go To’ loop pallets near that gen in an earlier chase.
Instead of spawning, you could use the corrupt intervention effect with a different aura color (not white, because that can confuse killers who bring CI, maybe blue, since that's a color that hasn't been used yet, or orange, something else).

@Raven014 I'm not quite sure if you understood what my point was, so I will explain again.
I would only reduce the GREAT Skillcheck zone (the tiny one). I know for a fact, that new players don't hit one of these as much (only by chance) because they tend to struggle with Skillchecks in general and are glad they hit it. Experienced players hit Greats most time which can lead to very fast Gen progress. By taking this away they are slowed down where newer players aren't because of said reasons above.
I hope this is now clear. But correct me if I misunderstood you instead :)
Nope, that was my confusion. I was for general skill check shrinkage, while you are just for Great skillchecks. I think that could be a buff that works...
Would Ruin be effected by this?

We wouldn't really need the vines, just add a brown filter, add back in the pestula sacks but retextured and there you go. Maybe make noises have a bit of an echo to give the feeling of it being empty.
Now, I haven't watched the show, myself, but aren't the vines and stuff the whole point of that dimension?

I don't like GF dailies purely because I don't lean, it seems the least effective way to mark survivors (Mostly because you are rooted to the spot and not even that hidden)
But I would like harder killer dailies, most of them might as well just be "Play a match with this killer" as they are for doing things you do anyway. They are not challenges anymore, they are chores.
Leaning does increase the rate of marking, so it's more worth it to lean than not.

Not a bad idea. If you're sacrificing an entire perk slot you should be able to get that passive bloodpoint gain just as easy, if not easier than Killers, simply because BBQ grants aura reading as well.
Yeah, I like this concept as well. There is nothing wrong with more points.

Dying light should be a counter to Sole Survivor. Not the other way around.
That would break mettle of man, especially against furtive chase. The obsession could take two hits, then their rescuer could... then all 4 get their MoM procked, then have endurance on top of instaheals and all the other stuff they have.
The only concept I like is DS, but that's because it's a slight nerf to it.
This is what it should be like for obsession:

Couldn't they have just tweaked Freddy's dream effects to make the upsidedown? Just add those vines and stuff
The Dream world is a filter, but adding the upside down? That would have to involve completely redoing every map with the vines. It's the same reason that they won't add prestiges of anything other than default clothes.

Favorite match was a GF match, I'd been doing terribly since it was a 4 man SWF, and had Object of Obsession. However, I wasn't playing with a particularly strong build either. But after the last gen, here's where it becomes interesting:
My build was: Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, Agitation... and NOED.
So when NOED popped, I just got one, then was about to just carry him to the basement when I see the Ace try to get my NOED totem in shack (He was the annoying guy with OoO, and basement was at shack), so I just follow. I had been playing mostly normally until this point, but when I got close I used the Mad grit to down him quickly. Dwight got free because I only had level 1 for IG and MG, so I just went to put Ace in the basement. Then, I get dwight at the door by shack, and drag him to the basement, when a claudette tries her luck by jumping down. I use mad grit to get her too. I just hook Dwight and claudette then leave, and when I make a pass by the shack again, I see the meg had gone down there. I chase her an end it there.
That's how I hooked a 4 man SWF group with OoO. It was on a corn map too. I still laugh about that.
I do have another about pre-rework Freddy, too, which is also a good one.
I was on that Autohaven map with the shack in the middle, and there were three survivors left. A Tapp, A Meg, and a Nea. All the gens were done, and I was chasing a Nea. She was a good looper, I give her that, but then I saw Tap trying to open the door and immediately change targets while following Nea (she was heading to the door). I down Tapp, then down nea, then down Meg. I hook Nea first, since she's on second hook. then I hook Meg, who is also on second hook. Then I hook Tapp who is on his first hook. This is important since he 4% off the hook. I chase him and he unhooks Meg, and I down both of them. I hook Tapp where Meg was hooked, and pick up Meg who had DS. Then I just chase her down easy.
Tapp almost saved those three. But I was able to stop it barely. They got the door so close...
I have both of these recorded on my Xbox. It's uploaded on Live, so if you look at Ravenpaw14's recordings you can view them. I'm not sure how to put it here for you.

I just got an idea for this: The more gens are done, the smaller the Great Skillcheck zone is.
O Gens: 100%
1 Gen: 70%
2 Gens: 40%
3 Gens and more: 0%
Why?
I, as an experienced player, thought about the reason why gens are done fast. And this is that many people have practiced hitting Great Skillchecks (wich add 2% progress I think). And why is that? Because the use of Ruin made them practice. So once Ruin is gone, Survivors fly through gens because they'll hit Greats the most time. Slowly reducing this zone makes "powering through Ruin" ineffective. They would either have to find the totem or they'll have to Gen tap to avoid it. Both consumes time. And have straight 2x 80s of Gens in the end can be massive, for there are most likely no more toolboxes left and you can patrol the last 4 gens better.
Why not the other way round? This would make it very difficult for the killer to find people when they decide to find the totem first.
Without ruin, this would give the Survivors a normal start but they would need more time in the end. And they'd have to be more aware of the map to prevent 3genning themselves. This would be punished even more.
[Edit: This would most likely not affect new players, because they normally just hit Skillchecks (Good ones) and most of them will search for the totem before touching a Gen again. This would only add a challenge for more experienced players.]
What do you think?
Already stated that idea myself. And as @LapisInfernalis stated, it would just affect lower rank survivors most, and only be a bandaid fix.

Hag, Wraith, Spirit, Nurse, and Doctor are the most powerful in lore.
As the entity become stronger, their power should grow too, since that's where they received it from. And it has been becoming stronger.
Every other killer gets their power from their own abilities, not from the entity.
-
I believe that they don't. These lovecraftian gods are usually for themselves, so I wouldn't be surprised if they either didn't know of each other's existence or just don't care. Heck, they could be hostile to each other, but it's not like anyone would know.

When people use the term "gen rush" they usually aren't saying the players themselves are doing something wrong, they're saying the game is unfortunately designed in such a way that the players can complete their objective too quickly, and usually that it should be changed.
You might not agree with that assessment, you might not agree with the proposed solution (I don't here) but there's no reason to take offense at the term. It's a handy shorthand.
Also, right after complaining about this, you complain about tunnelling. It's funny because you could say almost the exact same thing: "The Killers are doing their Objective, removing players from the game most efficiently. It's not their fault most of the Survivor Players can't compensate for it." Except there's a general acknowledgement that that makes for unfun games for most everyone else, and it should be avoided, and the game has decent structures in place (DS, borrowed time) to make it less worth the killer's while.
You are absolutely correct. There is very little I can do against a good chaser when they're in a high level SWF group.
-
@Lametart said:
I think they should change how skillchecks work a little.
Like, there should be atleast one skillcheck every 12 seconds. And maybe after 2-3 gens are done, skillcheck circles have TWO skillcheck areas. And you must hit both.
Then again thats just an idea.
Or maybe they get more difficult as the game goes on, similar to how unnerving presence works.
0 gens done: normal
1 gen: slightly smaller
2 gen: moderately smaller
3 gen: tremendously smaller
Etc... it could even change based on level of the character you're currently playing.
It'd be an indirect buff to Hex: Huntress Lullaby, since it's already underwhelming for a Hex Perk.

Probably not. But you'd need permission from a Dev to do so in the first place.

It's like you didn't read what I said. I said I'd like it to happen, but it probably won't. I know that they don't have the rights. Why else would they make him like that to begin with? Why aren't any of the perks you use on those lists? Sorry, but I dislike self-care and it's probably one of the most useless perks. Most of the time survivors are found before even finishing self care, it's easily countered by things like Sloppy and Nurses (granted so is being healed by an alli but it's faster than Self Care still). Also, compare how long it takes to complete a gen vs it takes it heal with self care. It's only good for finishing off a heal when the killer finds someone healing you and chases them first, otherwise, just go work on a gen and get good at looping so you won't be downed asap when you get found.
Also, Urban's not on the list either, it only counters Hag. Even then, crouching in general counters Hag and you don't need to be faster. It only encourages hiding most of the time which most people don't like because those types of people barely do a thing.
And then there's also a full list of perks that could use a buff that are not on your list. But you can't expect Behaviour to just do that, in return they'll have to do it with every single killer perk. If you don't like a perk, don't use it. Don't expect anything to get a buff. Not everything can be OP the way you want it to be.
Urban doesn't only counter Hag. It's an all around good stealth perk. Sure, doesn't work against doc or frenzied Legion, but it's not like you see those often.

My only issue with deliverance is the broken effect... Its hard enough to get it active that the broken effect is just too much ontop of it imho
DS should have the 60 second timer but it should pause when youre in the dying state - this would prevent slugging and waiting it out. Its only counter play as is should be not tunnelling off the hook. (you can still face camp and grab survivors off that try saves at endgame. It will just punish tunneling and not camping)
MoM should go back to PTB changes where safe unhooks granted a stack. Safe unhooks are a limited resource but more stable than protection hits. Would ensure not everyone can get the stacks while still making the perk reliable.
Vigil should reduce exhaustion while running (Add while not in a chase if you want but it should still tick down while running).
Boil over/Flip flop, Technician need general (slight) buffs.
Alert, OoO, Premonition and Diversion are fine as is.
Left Behind and Autodidact need to burn in a dumpster fire...
Deliverance is only bad if you're
- found first
- camped
The broken status is to try to balance a free unhook against killers who actually go away from the hook when they hunt for others. (AKA good killers who don't waste time)
DS should not pause. Ever. That's it's only counterplay. I think that DS should have the countdown, and be deactivated when the next person is hooked, because then it's clear the killer isn't tunneling.
MoM would become very abusable.
Vigil should not clear exhaustion when running. That would be a buff to all exhaustion perks which does not need to happen.
Technician can be very good on solo ones due to the noise dampening effect. Flip Flop is fine in the right situation. While I think Boil over does need a buff. Maybe a slight slowdown to the killer or something.
I agree.
Autodidact has it's uses, while Left behind needs a complete overhaul.

Didn't something in one of entrys say that the Entity took him, it's been awhile sense I've read the entrys. Also, isn't the character from the HB cinematics still a mystery because I thought Vigo was heavily speculated to be female?
I always heard of him being a guy. That may be up to interpretation, however, since there is no proof of either in the game at this moment.
However, in the Blighted event, Vigo was basically revealed. He was hooded, but spoke about his experience with the Blight event and partially describing himself in the lore entries with it. Rumor is that he's a future killer since he's done his experiments, but only time will tell.

@Raven014 It's the devs' prerogative to lock inconsequential content such as vanity items behind a paywall, especially in the case of licensed characters or cosmetics which have to be exclusively paid content per the agreement the devs have with the license owners. It's not uncommon or unreasonable.
In my opinion, we should count ourselves lucky that (a) the vast majority of cosmetic items are freely unlockable through gameplay, and (b) all the non-licensed DLC content is unlockable without paying a cent. I can't think of many games that allow players to unlock DLC/Expansions without paying. It seems like the devs are already trying to make as much content available for free as possible while maintaining a financially viable business model.
I know that...

This could be a good idea, although the conversion rate would have to be better balanced in my opinion. Right now, there's no real incentive to convert shards to BPs using the shrine because the time it takes to earn 2000 shards is far longer than earning 200k BPs.
@Raven014 As nice as it would be to be able to buy everything with shards (which I assume is the reason you want to be able to convert between the two) there is a good reason why it's not already a thing. If we could convert shards to cells, there would be no point in having separate currencies. The whole point of cells is to have an in-game currency which is only attainable using real life currency.
It's already hard enough to get shards in the first place. At least have every cosmetic have a shard price, even if it's ridiculous.

The Show is supposed to be a horror show. This game is supposed to be a horror game. I don't get where you get that from.
