The only rewards you get for free are whatever you can get with iri shards. Which is to say, not much.

Crouching around the map doing nothing shouldn't be rewarded more highly.
In my opinion, all those event for interacting with the killers' powers should be converted to survival points, and each killer should have at least one event. (Such as "Hatchet Dodge" for any hatchet that lands near you/is thrown while you are in a chase.)
Boldness would be reserved (mostly) for chases and confronting the killer, where survival would increase from disarming traps, dodging killer power attacks, removing RBTs etc.
That would make the survival category actually POSSIBLE to fill by doing things that you already do, but usually lose the points to the 8k cap for having a decent chase.
I like these ideas.
One question though: What would totems be then? Right now they're boldness.

This is a year old thread that's been necrod for no reason.
I see. Should've realized that. : P

Doesn't she already have this outfit but in red and gold?

For me: I have two for killer, one for survivor.
Killer: Spies and Devour Hope.
Spies taught me to look for crows when I was new, which a lot of survivors are bad at stopping.
Devour Hope is one of the most fun gambles I've ever had for killer. And it's amazing on Demo.
Survivor: Flip Flop.
This perk has saved me from death at least once whenever I use it. It even saved me from a NOED nurse and basically gave me my Adept Ash Achievement. I love this perk for no justifiable reason.

I'm not biased - I'm not in favour of either. This is simply a discussion, so there's no need for it. Didn't see why I upset you so easily, you should just get over it. Anything can be taken as 'legit criticism' depending on how it is worded, so I took the statement as just that.
My statement was based on what I saw in other replies. That's why I asked for you to debunk my opinion about you. That is all.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, those changes are nice that you mentioned.
No problem. I think the rest of the proposed changes you have are all decent as well, that's why I didn't say anything.

I'm pretty sure you knew I wasn't serious about the matchmaking comment. I was just having a go at it. I've made some good south american friends because of the quality of the match making we have had.
I see...

But the point of RBT isn't supposed to be that it kills survivors, the point is to waste the survivor's time. If someone dies by a RBT, cool, but actively wanted a buff for the traps isn't needed on Pig. Before you ask, yes, I am a Pig main, but I'd rather see a lot of her addons retooled to affect her crouch and dash rather than her RBT.
I know. This wouldn't be an inherent buff to traps since 2 mins is more than enough time to get it off. I just think that they shouldn't be able to get it off when inactive. I think that alone would be enough to counter the loss of endgame pig. However, I do agree that she'd still be weaker than quite a few killers.

Last Forever? Is that a bug? Or maybe youre exaggerating it so much?
Nope. Not a bug. It works. Try it out. It takes forever to reach T3... but once it does you have it for the rest of the match. Since both take a long time to get to T3 on their own... it makes it take a while, and you'll be slower 'cause of Tombstone.

It sucks for most people that they aren't Australian...
Not that I know how the regions and match making work... I mean does anybody know how the matchmaking really works?
Wait, you are Aussie? Well that's awkward...
Right now, it's more based on regions: Oceanic, Europe, North America... so those in those areas are matched together.

I message most of the people after a match and say GG. Sometimes I extend out a comment about how they really ran me around like an idiot or something like that. Maybe a cheeky comment on how they got lucky but next time it's not going to go down like that.
Well, you're not the norm in my region. : P
-
Um. No. I think Judith's is fine. You're forgetting what it's commonly put together with: Tuft of Hair. Which makes it last forever.
The speed penalty can easily be overcome by PWYF, and you can keep those tokens easy since killing them isn't a hostile action.
If anything, I think there should be a buff to how you can mori. Like you can mori them on the floor as well. That would get rid of it's one weakness: Lockers.
-
Typical Gmod pics. XD
Trapper surrounded by traps is probably my favorite. : )
-
Funny note: I also have a killer concept called the Virus, but it's not on this site. It's here, if you want to see it.
-
Um... DBD isn't the worst. That honor would go to the ones mentioned above, not to mention the Undertale community, which sends suicide threats to those who don't play the game a certain way.
They even do that to Youtubers.
-
Legion because I'm a dirty Julie main apparently. : P
My tiers: (My opinions, but I try to be honest about this. I'm biased in favor of Fuming Mixtape, but even I know that Iri button is better)
A Tier:
- Iridescent Button: Not only does it give you the ability to break pallets but you can cause survivors to panic if you frenzy randomly. It can also give you the ability to see all survivors across the map, which can inform you of how to act. Legion is an information killer, every piece counts. The only thing is that because of the map wide TR, DW will not work because of the interference of this addon.
- Ruler addons: both are really good for obvious reasons. Getting frenzy back is insanely good, especially with Fuming mixtape, you can use it to move around the map faster.
- Green Sketchbook: This can determine whether you can actually get to another target or if you can only focus on the one you just stabbed.
B Tier:
- Fuming Mixtape: While it is an ultra rare, it's not nearly as good as the ones in A tier purely because it doesn't give any other bonuses. While reading auras of gens is good, and knowing their progress is better, it's not like wraith's since they can only be in frenzy for a limited time. It's main use is to use frenzy as transportation instead of saving it for getting survivors.
- Mural Sketch/Mischief list: Both are decent ones. They essentially do the same thing, increase distance. However, they feel interchangeable to each other, while Green Sketchbook definitely feels like an upgrade.
- Filthy Blade: Wasting time with mending is useful. Not always however.
C Tier:
- Nasty Blade: Slightly less time mending than with Filthy, but still ok.
- Detection Range addons: while you may not be able to reach the other survivors, knowing where they are can be very useful for Legion.
D Tier:
- Cooldown addons: All of them are terrible. When Legion's cooldown was 3 seconds, it might be worth it to bring cold dirt, but now it's from 4-3 with that, and the others are worse.
- Legion Pins: These wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to stab them twice to get the effects.
F Tier:
- Frank's Mixtape: Ever since the changes to Legion's basekit, this one is absolute trash.
- Stab Wounds Study: Ever since the aforementioned changes to Legion's basekit, this one is wasted since nobody ever goes down to DW... especially since you can't have DW go down in Legion's TR...

I was ways disappointed it pushes you out of the locker or drops you from the killers grasp. They had a real chance to be creative with this.
My change would be reintroduce Moon Offerings to change the moon and the games for cinematic theme. Blood Red Moons, Orange Harvest, Deep Blue, Etc.
I know. I would've wanted them to have a different animation for lockers... but we can only dream.
That bit about the killer's shoulder though is BS. If they have the survivor in their grasp, then let them get the hook.
-
I would make pig boxes unable to be interacted with by a survivor with an inactive trap. That way it's more stressful and the RBTs are actually threatening. It'd balance out them nuking endgame piggy.
Oh, and make Rule Set No. 2 basekit of course.
-
Clown or Legion.
Clown because he sucks at everything other than chases.
Legion because his power doesn't help secure downs.

I actually like the Plague skin. She looks very drippy and regal, and she looks cool in menus.
Maybe for PC... but on Xbox she looks terrible.
-
I think the best goes to Wraith. Or Doc.
The worst goes to spirit, because I don't like that bloated look for her. Or nurse, for similar reasons.
The most mediocre goes to Plague, since that is almost just a recolor of default. At least Trapper's changed some things...
-
I mean, I play him when I feel like it, but his ability just doesn't gel well with me. I prefer to dash everywhere, stabbing repeatedly or slashing people down with a sword, or getting people to fall for traps...
-
Either Bubba... or Old Freddy. Most other killers can be acquired relatively easily, but those two gave me trouble. I only got the Bubba one two days ago.
And yes, I did get Freddy's adept when he was old Freddy. Not with the new rework.
-
I would like a mix of both to be honest. : P

I don't think there is a single Ace outfit that I like, aside from his default. His cosmetics make him look like either Hugh Hefner, a sleazeball, or a shady banker. I'm sure it's intentional, given the character. I still wouldn't buy any of them.
What, you don't like that sweater? It's awesome!
(His WW2 one isn't bad either.)
-
Easily goes to adam. I don't like his stupid haircuts, and the only cosmetic piece I'd even consider getting is his ugly sweater or his P1 cosmetic.
-
My main thoughts:
Flip Flop is fine as is. It's saved my life every time I've used it. That being said, it's a downside to slugging killers only, so... maybe it needs a secondary effect, like maybe less bleeding for downed survivors? That way they can crawl away, and then be able to use the perk better. Idk.
Pig: I'd make her boxes un-interactable if the survivor's trap isn't activated. That way the traps actually cause pressure. I.E., if a survivor with an RBT on their head goes to take it off, but it isn't activated yet, then they can't get it off.
Also, bring back endgame piggy. Hatch already counters RBTs regardless. : )
Clown: I'd like to see a way for clown to maybe buff his own speed or something, since his bottles on their own are very lackluster.
Plague: I think making it so a secondary timer starts when they are infected that will down them will be more than enough incentive to make them cleanse...
No Mither: No Mither as it is now leaves no blood trail. Your change would be a direct nerf.

At least I got one done rather than none right?
Considering you need to kill 4 Survivors as your ultimate goal, at least you got 1 out of 4 killed... it's better than having a 4 man escape.
He's got a point though, that it may have sounded bad to him. You don't know exactly what circumstances were happening on his end though either.
I know I get pissed when I see 3 people leave for what are BS reasons (finding a key for instance) so I probably wouldn't see it as a gg then.
However, I understand you're trying to be an optimist about the game, so that's a noble sentiment.
-
On Xbox this isn't really a problem because people don't extend any messages to each other.
-
75/25 (killer preferred) player from AUS on Xbox.
-
I think it should be easier to get stacks for WGLF. Maybe make it where cleansing a hex perk, successfully escaping the killer, or stunning the killer also grants stacks, up to the max. That way it'll be way better.
@[Deleted User] said:
I wouldn't care too much of WGLF had at least some sort of in-game use so it's more than just gimping yourself for more blood points.
When you get a stack, you can see the other survivors auras for 5 seconds. This would help solo survivors out a little bit to help bridge the gap from SWFs.
I also like that idea as well.
-
Interesting concept. Although I think that 100% movement speed is a bit much for that. I think making them into a 110% killer would be more than enough to balance out the ability to block windows and such.
Although, System crash doesn't make sense to me as much. Maybe survivors are fitted with head/neck mounted devices so that it's like that's what's affected by the power? I don't see how an android can be capable of interfering with survivors like except for maybe nanomachines... but I think that's a weak excuse, imo.
The perks though, as powerful as they are, are still hex perks, which makes them weaker than most.
Hex spam doesn't seem like it needs to be a hex perk, but just a cooldown perk similar to Thrilling Tremors. Idk.
-
@Pulsar said:
The cooldown refers to the stun you suffer. The power gauge is how long before you can use the power again.
This.
The cooldown refers to that moment where you look at your hands after frenzying, whereas the power gauge is the cooldown for frenzy itself. The ruler addons are way better than the cooldown addons because of this, because cold dirt only shaves 1 second off of 4, where frenzy with the ruler addons will be ready to go much faster.
-
Devour Hope is actually really good on Demo because you don't need TOTH to defend it if you dedicate a portal to it. The only thing is that if you get a bad spawn there is no reason to defend it... but if it works it works. : )
-
Head on is very unreliable, I've found. Maybe it's not clear how far the perk extends the stun to me, but I never seem to be able to hit anyone with it... idk...
-
Hag just because if you don't bring a flashlight (which are worse on console anyway) then she can lock down an area really easily.
It's not that I have trouble against her myself, it's also a lack of any people trying to counter her among my teammates either.

Frank's mixtape does drain the DW bar, you're just better off being M1 killer than trying to down anyone with this (unless you have a specific build)
It's still not worth it.

Franks mixtape dude
That isn't a thing anymore. It's literally impossible to down anyone since multiple frenzy attacks don't drain the DW bar anymore.

Tell me it wasn't funny when a survivor thought you were gonna dedicate to following them then appear in front of them
Ping Ponging survivors is the way to go with old freddy, pressuring them by forcing them to regress gens, putting them back to sleep and then making them fail again is funny.

IMO there was no reason to remove the effect even with the end game collapse. I also think trap triggers should not be tied to the generators, RBT should start ticking as soon as you are back on your feet.
I said that yes, because if the survivors are across the map, it's the same effect as Green Sketchbook/Legion Mural sketch. I see no difference. However, it frees those addons for another effect.
-
Trapper when you get with traps all the time, Legion when you stab multiple people with Frenzy, Spirit when you guess correctly, and Huntress when you hit your shots.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
... So what would she be gaining for the tremendously bad drawback of losing her invisibility, the usage mindgame and collision?
Cant see ######### except memetically bad scratchmarks AND is visible?
I think killers produce more viably fair survivor nerf ideas.
Survivors just memetically suck at balancing killers.
Even when I, a killer player, come up with a survivor concept that even has a perk that a lot of survivors would like, they still complain about it. Can't please everyone.
-
Spirit is balanced right now. There is a visual cue when she actually starts phasing (not just presses the button), you can hear her footsteps, crows are spooked, and grass/bamboo/corn will move when she moves through it.
It's not easy for spirits on console, as turning to hit another survivor takes a lot of mechanical skill. And there are times where sounds you hear sound in one direction and you swing but it was somewhere else. Sounds can definitely lie to you when phasing.
Besides, Iron Will exists, and quite a few people run it if they think a spirit is coming.

I'm not great with Hag... but I'm on console, so she suffers for the same reason Nurse does.
