I completely understand your point about it being a hex and not a passive. I made it a hex because I wanted a very high risk, high reward perk. Because as you know, the perk can be deactivated any time throughout the game. Personally, what would make this perk different compared the two you listed is that you can reach up to 8 to 12% (3 dead) for your speed boost. Considering every second counts this boost would be huge. Also, let's say for instance two survivors are dead which would give the remaining survivors a 6% decrease to actions. If your running this perk on freddy for example, who has addons for slowdown combined with ruin, pop, dying light, or other slowing perks it will make gens extremely difficult. As I mentioned this is just a concept and improvements could be made

Yes, its hard to do gens against this perk when you are alone but do you need to?

By the time 3 are dead, the survivor can just open the gate or escape using the hatch.

i love the idea of the terror radius and the scare effect of it. thats why i like killers with higher radiuses. his power can detect and hurt survivors and as the killer can manouver survivors to dens his high radius is appropriate i think.

and could you explain why you think this power would be "lackluster" in any point?

its a scare (which is a basic to a horror game) a detection and in the best case even a hit on a survivor if played right and all of this in a new mechanic.

i want to go back to a horror game and think this character could be a fun way for both sides, survivor and killer players.

that 110% mobility the power should compensate with it, like when a den is triggered it should boost the mobility by 5%

that 110% mobility the power should compensate with it. Example hag have teleport and the spirit have phasing to help them catch up to the survivors, this killer powers can only reveal and possibly damage the survivor with its den spirits but can't catch up to them during a chase and they will just infinitely loop this killer

The wolf spirit chase duration is too short 3.5 secs and too slow 100% mobility

As i stated before The power can't compensate with its slow mobility

I suggest you must rethink things and change them

    THE PREDATOR

An adaptable killer, The Predator's power, THERMAL VISION, can allow the Predator to more easily see prey from a distance, and utilizes Energy for his addons. His perks, TRIAL BY BLOOD, MANIC KILLER. and INTIMIDATION focus on securing kills and sacrifices more easily.

    Power

THERMAL VISION can be activated, and for five seconds, The Predator can see all objects and people that give off infrared radiation. This includes generators, survivors, fresh blood, and some objects in the map. When activated, the eyes of the Predator's mask will glow bright red. Thermal vision has a five seconds of use, and has thirty second cooldown that cannot be adjusted by addons. However, the Predator is able to gain other powers based on addons.

The Predator's addons costs ENERGY. ENERGY is indicated next to the addons icons, represented by a blue bar. The Predator starts with 8 energy by default, which is absorbed by certain addon abilities. When the Predator runs out of energy, he has to go to a generator with progress done on it and absorb it. It takes approximately five seconds to absorb a generator, but for every empty energy slot the Predator has, that generator will use 1% regression after it is absorbed, and will start passively regressing.

    ADDONS

    Common:

    • Energy Cells

The Predator keeps extra energy cells on him for use at the cost of other equipment.

The Predator starts the trial with 2 more energy.

    • Vocal Mimicry

    Costs no energy.

The Predator mimics the sound and voices of other prey its encountered using its Bio-Mask, taking from a database to trick prey into coming for a rescue.

When activated, the Predator can select a location in which to stage an attack. The player's HUDs will reveal the aura of a teammate falling to the ground and several moments later, of the Predator's aura picking them up. This will only happen for survivors outside the line of sight of the mimicry. After several moments, it will reveal the aura of the Predator hooking a survivor, on the nearest hook. This will appear in the HUD as a random survivor being hooked; if all survivors are away from each other, it will select the survivor furthest from them to represent being hooked. This goes away after a survivor investigates, or until the mimicry expires (about sixty seconds). During Vocal Mimicry, the Predator is Undetectable.

    • Energy Flechette

    Costs 1 energy.

The Predator can launch a lesser missile from his gauntlet, allowing him to damage and wound survivors.

Energy Flechette can be fired from the gauntlet, which injures survivors and causes the Deep Wound status effect. Cannot be used to down, but further hits cause the Broken Status effect for 120 seconds. An additional hit will reset the Broken Status effect and cause the Hindered status effect for 15% for five seconds. Energy Flechette has a 10 second cooldown. Has no aiming reticle.

    • Poisoned Blades

    Costs no energy.

The Predator utilizes a painful and sickening poison, which allows for better tracking of escaped prey.

Upon a hit, it induces vomiting from a survivor and creates a sickness cloud. Sickness cannot be spread to objects or other survivors. Healing a sick survivor requires a medkit. Sick survivors are broken for 60 seconds. Stacks.

    • Charge Emitter

    Costs 4 energy.

The Predator can release a built up charge of energy from his gauntlet, allowing him to explode and disable nearby electronics.

When used, nearby generators within 24 meters explode and regress 5%. Generators cannot be worked on or kicked by the killer for 30 seconds if affected by Charge Emitter. Does not start passive regression. Survivors carrying flashlights will have it explode in their hands, losing 20% of its charges and causing the survivor to drop it. When picked up, it cannot be used for 60 seconds.

    Uncommon:

    • Steel Wrist Shield

Costs 2 energy for every use.

An armored glove that allows the Predator to tear through walls and destroy environments.

Grants the Predator the ability to break through certain walls and to destroy vault points after they are used at least one time, giving the Predator the ability to walk through next time. When draining a Generator, gives an additional 3% regression to generator progress.

    • Grappling Hook

    Costs no energy.

Allows the Predator to target an object in the environment and shoot toward it, or to target a higher and accessible elevation and climb up on it. Has 40 second cooldown.

    • Cloaked Trap

    Costs 2 energy per trap.

A trap that has a cloaking device installed in it. Once placed, it will cloak into pseudo-invisibility.

Once a survivor steps on a Cloaked Trap, a binding energy will trigger and grab them by the heels, hanging them upside down. Does no damage, but highlights the trapped survivors aura for the Predator. Limit of 10 traps. Takes 10 seconds to remove self from a trap.

    • Smart Disk

    Costs 3 energy per throw.

A bladed disk that is user-controlled, allowing the Predator to navigate it through obstacles.

Grants the Predator the ability to throw a Smart Disk. Once thrown, the Predator will go into a third-person camera of the disk and control its movement. The Predator cannot move during this time. The disk moves 5% faster than base killer speed, but can go through pallets and vault points. If it hits an object, hits a survivor, or does not hit anything within 10 seconds, it will deactivate. Can down survivors.

    Rare:

    • Cloaking Device

Costs 1 energy for cloaking and decloaking.

The Predator utilizes cloaking technology in their hunts. Its their prime weapon against prey.

Can activate a cloak similar to that of the Wraith, except its near instant (1.2 seconds to activate, 3 seconds to deactivate). During this time, the Predator's terror radius is reduced to 0 and is Undetectable.

Doing actions (attacking, vaulting, breaking pallets, kicking generators) will decloak the Predator.

    • Netgun

    Costs 3 energy per net.

The Predator uses a netgun, which can greatly slow survivors down.

When activated, the Predator obtains a netgun. Upon a successful hit, the victim cannot fast vault windows or pallets. They must hold down the action button (M1) to remove the net, which slows the survivor by 3% and takes five seconds to remove. The longer the net stays on, the more it tightens, causing a 1% Hindered status effect every three seconds. Once a survivor is hit, the net is automatically taken off. Has 20 second cooldown.

    Very Rare:

    • Plasmacaster

Costs 2 energy for each shot.

A signature Predator weapon, the Plasmacaster is a shoulder mounted weapon that fires hot plasma at the target.

Can be activated with M2. Once fired, it lets loose a cannonball of plasma at the designated target, indicated by a three-point laser for targeting. If trained on a survivor for five seconds, the shot will be heat-seeking, and will attempt to follow the survivor. Obstacles in the environment or other survivors can confuse the targeting and undo heat-seeking.

If hit, the survivor will become injured. If charged and it hits the ground or an object near a survivor, it will stun the survivor for two seconds.

The Predator's movement speed is reduced to 90% while charging Plasmacaster.

    • Predator's Whip

    Costs no energy.

A whip with blades on the end, which allows the Predator to strike at a greater range.

Replaces the Wrist blades. Predator's weapon now reaches an additional 4 meters and can strike over pallets.

    • Mines

    Costs 4 energy per.

Utilizing more abrupt and forward methods of dispatching prey is just as well for some Predators.

Allows the predator to place a mine on a location. Requires 4 seconds of setup. When selecting the activation button, automatically blows up the nearest mine, which downs survivors in one hit. Can be disabled. Limit of 2 mines.

    Ultra Rare:

    • Improved Energy Sift

The Predator's Wrist Gauntlet is improved to take in more energy from a single power source.

Considerably decreases draining speed (3.5 seconds now). Empty energy slots now cause 3% regression per empty slot. The Predator gains an additional 2 energy slots for the trial.

    • Tagging Equipment

    Costs 2 energy per tag.

The Predator brings with him tagging equipment, which allows him to track nearby prey to mess with or to more easily kill.

Grants the Predator the ability to tag survivors. A successful ranged or basic attack will caused a survivor to be tagged. Tagged survivors are highlighted to the Killer when outside his terror radius. Tags are removed after a survivor is put into the dying state.

    PERKS:

    • Trial By Blood

Your eagerness to please and prove yourself to the Entity fuels your apatite for blood.

    • Match selects an obsession.
    • Every time the obsession is hooked, gain a token.
    • For each token, gain 0.5/0.8/1 meter increased lunge range.
    • Whenever a full lunge misses, lose a token.
    • Max of three tokens.
    • Manic Killer

The desire to keep trophies is overwhelming, sometimes at the cost of displeasing the Entity.

    • Grants the ability to kill a survivor when in the dying state and their bleedout timer is under 40/45/50%.
    • Reduces Bloodpoints in all categories by 50%.
    • Intimidation

Anyone would be foolish to run toward you, even the altruistic find themselves betraying each other for self preservation.

    • Whenever a survivor attempts an altruistic action (healing, hook rescuing) within the Killer's terror radius and while the Killer is looking in their direction, their action speed is reduced by 15/20/25%.

This new mode, Make-a-Monster, is a mode where 4 survs fight a custom killer.

This killer isn't exactly custom, but it allows you to add powers from killers to other killers. Any add-ons for these powers can be used. The killer always looks like the base killer you used.

So, if you use killers, you have auto-access to any perk combos, and have a choice of what side powers go along with the killers main ability.

Say, your base is demogorgon, then you can doctor add-ons to make fake pallets within 40 meters of the UpsideDown Portals. You could use BBQ or Lullaby or any perks you wish.

This mode only lasts during different events, and you can save custom killers for when the mode returns.

On another note, the Survs are also aloud to access any perks they wish for the battle against the Make-A-Monsters...

    What do you guys think?

    Precision (Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare)

You need to be as precise as possible. Good skill check success zones are increased by 10%/20%/30% and great skill check success zones are decreased by 15%. Get a 1%/2%/3% added progression when hitting a great skill check.

    Eco location. (Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare)

You use sound instead of seeing to find the killer. Every 60/45/30 a generator that the killer is closest to is highlighted in a white aura for 5 seconds. Afterwards it goes back on cooldown.

Can you put a hex totem or something on the precision so that killers can destroy it or maybe lets just remove the hex totem on ruins

If not then its not good

    Genrush is a thing.

With this perk the game will end within 3 minutes

I was thinking that the camera would take up the entire screen, as if Ghost face were looking through the lens. It would make the camera easier to aim and see through (might be best to toggle it on and off, with a slightly reduced movement speed so he can aim the camera).

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/194/EN889XEJ930G.jpg

I was thinking of one of these cameras, but probably a little more sleek and stylish. The reload would probably be fine at around 4 seconds. This gives him time to open the compartment, dump out the film, and put in New film. The flash of the camera could be important since it would announce his presence. It would likely be too strong if survivors had no way of directly knowing they're being photographed (granted, Myers and ghostface in their current form give no warning outside of the evil within music and the exposed status effect sound cue).

Yes, it would take up the whole screen

The camera reticle/crosshair is permanently on the screen

There is no toggle on and off just press the power button so he would take out the camera take the shot and take it in (entire action takes 1 second)

I've been playing Dead by Daylight for about a year and I hate to complain but when in struggle phase can we change it from pressing the action key at an increasing speed to holding the action key? Since I started playing I've always died on second hook because I just simply can't press the button fast enough. Especially with winter practically here with cold nights, which is when I usually play, I just can't do it and while it doesn't force me to play killer playing killer is definitely more enjoyable then getting my games cut short because of a physical liability almost entirely out of my control. Thank you to anyone who sees this and at least tries to get it implemented into the game have a good rest of your day.

PS, devs could you actually do this? I'm sure it's possible but if it is why hasn't it been done yet? I can't be the first one to say something about it. That's all.

Thumbs up to the man who will save my thumb from being broken

I like it alot. His stalk is already just a carbon copy or Myers's, just with an added lean function. The camera coulda have a reload, like clowns bottles. Once he takes 5 picture he has to put in New film. I'd say the pictures should fill their stalk meter by about 34 percent, and if the survivor isn't in the center of the photo, their stalk will fill up slightly less. Leaning snapshots could do 67% to make the number system nice and rounded. Camera shots have a cooldown where GF pulls out the photo, waggles it a bit to help the photo develop faster before putting it in his cloak. It would make him stand out compared to Myers, and would pair well with his aggressive stealth abilities. Your idea is something I never thought of. Definitely something that should be considered.

Could you tell me more about the camera?

    What kind/type of camera?

Can you please provide me some images for the camera?

Suggest me How long does the reload take?

    Thanks for the help...

-taking a camera shot gives 55 stacks of "Stalked"

-Taking a camera shot while on lean out gives 90 stacks of "Stalked"

-Taking a camera shot while crouching gives 65 stacks of "Stalked"

What is the point of that if you need to make 2 camera shots anyway? Anyway you can't switch between targets because the stacks will disappear quickly.

You cannot address any problems I and another person above listed. Be at least consistent and make 100 seconds of exposed, since it the amount of time needed for 100 stacks to disappear.

If you want to increase scare factor, you should add that "exposed" notification is not shown to survivor unless you start chasing him. In that case, everything the survivor will have to rely on is 2 quiet camera shot flashes and clicks.

If the Mark gave survivor an additional debuff for its 45 second duration, like hindered or exhausted it would make stalking worth it.

At this moment all your changes to do not actually change anything.

    -camera shot cooldown 1 second

    -cameta shot animation 1 second

We went from 12 seconds to 4 seconds, that's what I call a progress. It is still much slower than lean stalking (which takes 2.5 seconds without addons).

There could be some potential if you removed "-cameta shot animation" part and increased cooldown. In that case, ghostface will put "Stalking stacks" without actually risking to be revealed, as he will make an instant camera shot and will immediately hide. This would be also great and will make using his power actually useful.

You did not mention any addon changes even though most ghostface's addons directly affect his stalking rates at different modes. Put more effort in posting such ideas instead of posting them completely raw, so you won't have to deal with negative feedback.

With camera stalking you can one camera shot exposed anyone that got shotted recently

You are way too impatient i already said its still not finish yet

Its better to make a lacking raw idea than a complete idea with a lot of problems that will take you back to the scratch/Square one

  • Gotta do that later, i have personal business to attend to. Lets continue this later

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Specifically the way you've described it is such that when I press M2 it would be:

    • GF pulls out a camera (x seconds)
    • GF snaps a photo, exposed progress is added to visible Survivors (y seconds, possibly instant)
    • GF puts away the camera (z seconds)

What are x, y, z and how fast does Ghostface move during this entire process?

I think 1 second would work, it will be as fast as pig puts a complicated reverse trap on survivors head or a bit faster

So to be clear does this mean taking a picture is instant? How does that work exactly? Like I'm looking at a Survivor and I push M2, what happens (say how long each part of it takes since that's important)

I gotta adjust it later so please wait for it thank you so much

I'd like to point out that he specifically states that the audio portion of the camera is tied to being exposed and thus will be silent if it isn't exposing you.

Nice one for pointing that out, another thumbs up

From what I read it will be like this:

You are working on a gen and hear/see a camera shot flash. If you are too confident or you have sprint burst, you keep sitting on the same generator until you get exposed. After that you immediately move to the nearest pallet/window and run from the Ghostface for the duration of the exposed effect (which is really not that long to be threat). You might get scared a bit after a first camera shot, but you will still have a plenty of time before being attacked.

If you are just staring at the gen and ignoring everything around you, nothing will change. You suddenly get exposed and stabbed after that.

I already removed the flash yesterdy because i remembered that the trial is bright and had a lot of extra light sources

How does this help? In terms of jumpscare potential both existing methods already cover that. Just walking up and stabbing you is almost a literal jumpscare, while exposing you has the new and improved animation for extra spook... and also is immediately followed up with a knife for the same effect as no-stalking.

So how does the camera work into this? From the Survivors PoV it's all the same until they've spotted Ghostface in which case the more time they have the less likely the spook is, and from the Killer PoV there never was any spook potential from the start.

The camera stalking is almost the same with the old stalking

Btw changes added check it out..

I added the camera sound even though they can see if they are in exposed(which is already ingame) to give more scare factor to the survivor/s

    No problem.

Btw from a purely gameplay perspective what exactly is the point of this change? Genuine question and I have a followup depending on the answer.

I already know you're inspired by lore but it would be simple to have it be identical mechanically and yet this clearly isn't so you must have SOME reason for that.

Finally a proper critique not someone here that only says worthless worthless worthless and call it a critique

    Annoying

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

    Current Ghostfaces stalking:

    • Takes 5 seconds normally
    • Takes 2.5 seconds if you are leaning
    • Makes no noise and produces no motion (moving objects are easier to notice)
    • Stalking progress lasts forever
    • Can be 99%ed

And remember that the stalking portion of Ghostface is far from the strongest aspect of his ability.

    Your suggested Ghostface stalking:

    • Takes 6 seconds normally
    • Still takes 6 seconds while leaning
    • Has an animation
    • Stalking progress drains overtime
    • You must enter a 3 second animation to finish off an expose, thus preventing an instant followup.

    This is a straight nerf.

Thank you for the details this will help me make it better.thumbs up for that

And you are clearly have no idea of how awful it would be to actually stalk with ghostface and down somebody exposed by your ability.

This whole concept could make sense if survivor was not given any audio cues if ghostface is further than (for example) 12 metres and survivor does not know he is exposed (until he enters a chase, for example). Video cues (light flashes) would be a way to understand you are being stalked. In that case, if a survivor isn't vigilant enough, he will get downed and if he is able to spot flashes, he will either reveal the ghostface or move to the safe spot.

Besides, while I was writing this, I saw your another post, in which you were once again calling me arrogant and salty. You are not trying to prove me wrong or protect your suggestion, instead of this, you are insulting me. You have zero understanding of how to balance things in a game like dbd and because of how you are speaking to m, I see no point in continuing this discussion. BB, I'm out. Once again, stalking with your variation is ghostface is worthless, because of the extremely high risk and extremely low reward. Your ghostface will give a lot of information for survivor, which is enough to evade him or get to the safe spot quickly enough before getting attacked

    >-survivors with "Stalked" stacks will lose 1 stack of "Stalked" every 1 second

    nothing changed

    >-taking a camera shot gives 50 stacks of "Stalked"-Taking a camera shot while on lean out gives 75 stacks of "Stalked"

anyway I have to make 2 shots and it would take me 6 seconds (slower than even not-leaning stalking with no addons at the moment)

    >-having 100 "Stalked" stacks will mark the survivor "exposed" for 45 seconds and depletes all of the "Stalked" stacks

useless and worthless, I'd better play Tru3Talent Butcher&Thana&Nurse builds and completely ignore stalking.

    >-camera shot cooldown 2 seconds -camera shot animation 1 second

6 seconds instead of 8 or 12, still no difference.

You keep ignoring the fact, that with your changes, Ghostface will have to waste 6 seconds to expose a survivor for a laughable amount of time, while revealing his position twice and then, ontop of that, giving survivor loud af notification that he is exposed. Why should I waste 6 seconds , risking to get revealed in 1.5 (or 1.2 i don't remember) seconds, and my only reward for that risk is 45 seconds of exposed, which is COMPLETELY negated by 2 pallets/windows/any exhaustion perk and at least beginner's palletlooping skills. No thanks, I'll just M1 a survivor and chase him as M1 killer. Not very effective, but it is the best I have

I'm not suggesting anything. I am stating, that your suggestions will make ghostface's stalking useless, because of the time it takes and result it gives.

You are wasting 8 seconds, continuesly revealing your position by camera shots and all you get is 45 seconds of exposed, which are a barely a nuisance for a good survivor as you just palletloop and do all that stuff.

survivors with "Stalked" stacks will lose 1 stack of "Stalked" every 1 second

And this. So you are telling me, I can't even go change targets (which is already barely impossible because, remember, I must apply pressure to survivors and not waste time stalking), I have to stalk 1 survivor for 8 seconds, knowing that if I get revealed, my ability is gone for another 20-30 seconds.

If camera shots concept ever will be implemented it shouldn't be anything, but a visual or audio cue (which is already unnecessary because GF has a lot of counterplay and he doesn't need more).

Once again, this could be useful if Exposed status effect lasted extremely long amount of time or survivor WAS NOT ALERTED by exposed status effect appearing on him, as GF approaches and attacks him, because in other situation, it is useless.

    Read it again

  • @Teabagging_Boi said:

It is still worthless, because it demands me to waste 12 seconds to expose a survivor for 45 seconds. It is still worthless and heavily affects ghostface's gameplay in a bad way.

Can you just say "I suggest" first before adding something up and please use the word (weak) rather than (worthless)

I don't think BHVR wants legion to be viable based on these changes. You're right, during the time you run and find another survivor they will already be mended, especially since it doesn't decrease while they are in the terror radius, so by the time you run away and the terror radius is gone, boom 12 second pass and they are already mended. Then they are FORCING us to use that stupid buttons for add ons because they are trash right now. I see what they want, they want you to use the buttons instead of the perks to apply the mangle, but lets time this out...

Legion hits you in frenzy...okay, legion goes to find another survivor to hit...they chase probably a little bit, eventually get hit, first survivor is mended and already has 20 seconds of mangled down times that by 3 for the other suriviors and bam mangled is over by the time you hit the last survivor (assuming normal gameplay perhaps) They will either, A, do a gen while ur running to others and then heal when the mangled is down...or if they're in a group, just heal each other in the 60 second window anyway....these changes are so useless....And it just destroys what legion is supposed to even do. They lowered the mend time too PLUS took away the basic attack debuff....i just don't understand...someone said it might be because of oni perks, but based off their perk making abilties with the last 2 killers, i have almost no hope that these perks comign will suddenly be to op

    Dont forget the pallet stun

Wow they want a killer to rely on other killer's perks instead of his own power.

If they nerf killer too much there will be no fun on both sides there will be no thrill in being the survivor and being a killer is just being tom in tom and jerry.

You got it wrong, because it takes too much time and effort to mark a person for 40 seconds which is worthless. If it had infinite duration, it would be worth it, otherwise it is pointless.

Just make the camera shot animation when he marks somebody. It shouldn't be extremely obvious or else.A quick and quiet sound, maybe a short animation (that will not prevent him from attacking and will not slowdown him).

•I removed the flash because i remembered that the trial is bright and had a lot of lights... lol

•I made a new concept for the sound

    •Animation -0.5 seconds

    •Exposed +5 secs

  • @EldritchElise87 said:

Obviously wont know until playing, but a .2 increase during frenzy and some better add ons really isnt going to suddenly make them fun. Its slightly better but addresses none of the core issues.

Agreed, You are right just for .2 they reduce 3 and 7 seconds mend time conditionally making it more stupid to find other survivors for DW effect because they can remove it before you can even find and hit another survivor. Think about the time you spend running and searching for survivors and if you find some you need to chase and hit him or get hit by pallet....
