Head On is the only exhaustion perk I respect at the moment. It requires skill, but doesnt seem scummy to use against killers (unlike DS). If someone uses it, I am tempted to let them leave.
-
I don't mind the further derank. Saves me the trouble.
-
It'll be 4 by the time the next level releases.

No.
DS is already easy to work around. Survivor doing a gen in your face? Hit them instead of grab. Or better yet - go after the unhooker!
BT doesn't expire while in a chase to encourage killers not to tunnel once BT proc'd.
How does anyone complain about DH on dedicated servers?? It's almost unusable. IF a survivor gets it to proc then just bait it ffs.
If you're struggling with basic tactics like not tunnelling and camping then you just need to play more. The game shouldn't be brought down to new players level.
DS is boring to go against. Either you eat it or you don't. There really is no in between.
And A perk shouldn't influence how any killer is changed, at all. BT does this with Legion. Because both have DW. They shouldn't have done that, period. They buffed BT twice when they added the Oni, which ended up being Legion nerfs.
I don't think Dead Hard needs any changes right now, except fixing it so that it works properly on dedicated servers.

and the same subject ..the nurse is still strong just need to know how to play it! Stop complaining about this issue.
Nurse is strong, but masochistic. He's arguing to make her less so.
(Nice name, copycat)
-
Well, with all the ease of playing survivor, not to mention all their second chances, but killers get beat down for using NOED... it's a big double standard.
That, and everyone makes playing most killers hell. Only Nurses, Spirits, Onis, and Billies at red.

Are you complaining about the actual hair style or the way it bounces also it’s kinda clear that they are probably trying to make people forget that technically this character is like 18 because I doubt they want to be known as the game where you kill kids
Nah, you can just kill as someone who never grew up mentally (Huntress).
-
DS will hit you if you try to play well (even without tunneling or camping). What's frustrating is how easy it is to abuse. 60 seconds of killer invulnerability. If the killer doesn't want the 5 second stun (which can't be countered by anything, mind you), then they have to leave them be. It's the dumbest situation. There is no survivor equivalent to this except NOED, but they can counter that before gens are done.

yep another thing devs should look into is colorblindness, idk i think the killer should be a little brighter than surv cause they are living in darkness for ages
Well, it’s in the lore that killers have Entity-Enhanced senses... so...
-
Every time I’ve equipped this perk, it’s saved my life. Simple as that.
-
I think that perk is way too abusable and versatile for its’ effect. It needs to be deactivated when in a locker, on a gen, or fully healed. If you have the time to do those actions, then you are not being tunneled. It also should deactivate if another was hooked before you, because they’re clearly not tunneling.
I hate this perk. I’ll eat it, but it’s just too good. I never run it on survivor because of this issue.
-
Well, when you take away a killer’s solution for a big problem without fixing the main problem, then you’re going to get more noed players. If Behavior fixed the issue of map size/overall killer weakness, then Noed wouldn’t be used as much... because there would be better builds that don’t need it.
@BenZ0 said:
Noed is actually fine, I would say it just needs a requirement like "hook atleast every survivors once" or "If one survivor is sacrificed or killed noed can be activated after the last gen is done".
You’re thinking of how to balance ebony moris, BenZ0. I disagree that it needs a requirement. The requirement is that the killer is in such a bad situation that it gives a little bit of an edge.
-
Either Valentines or Easter.
Here’s my reasoning for Valentines:
Valentines: A big middle finger to everyone who does not have a significant other to share it with. It’s also a massive day to sell overpriced flowers and jewelry... especially on the guy’s part. It’s also the date of a massacre and I’m surprised people sweep that under the rug.
Easter... well, If I said here, I might get jailed/banned. I’ll just say I don’t like Christianity (or any religion) that much.
A bit serious, but those are the two I dislike the most.
-
The basement bug is still a thing too, although it’s rarer than it used to be. Having a DC penalty just isn’t great either... especially with all of the storms and stuff over here in Oz, it’s been playing havoc with everything dbd related. A DC timer is just going to compound things that are, frankly, not under my control.

Didnt know that. Wish it was that way for PC. Cause high rank on PC just sucks as killer thus getting the achievement for it.
Same for console, except a lot less killers on console, so if you’re a high rank survivor, you’ll be waiting 20+ minutes for a game just for them to dodge you (if you piss them off, they can recognize you since there are so few players on console in general).

Out of curiosity, how is it weird? If docs static blast gets transferred with DD, which is a part of his power, then it makes sense that the bit of Legions power that works with the terror radius would also be transferred.
You'd think that the detection would always be anchored to the killer instead of the survivor in that situation.... as well as the shock being tied to doc, not the survivor...
-
I wouldn't call it a failure, but I wouldn't call it a success either.
Ruin was a bandaid to a problem that has yet to be resolved... and that problem is exacerbated by bad maps and bad/scummy perks (both sides).
-
I think that if a survivor hides in a locker, they should be vulnerable if they don't have Head On.
I also think that if you have enough time to get on a gen, fully heal, or heal someone else, then you are not being tunneled, and DS should deactivate.
-
Feng, Nea, and Claudettes are usually the most toxic.
-
Dying light and Dark Devotion Legion. Have fun with that little combo. They'll never hear you coming. XD

After I got my rank 1 achivement as killer, I stopped trying to kill the optimal survivors. Killing them just isnt fun and aint worth the sweat in my opinion. I let them finish their gens in peace, open the gate for them, and move on to the next match.
Those achievements don't exist on console...
-
I do on spirit, since kicking gens is too much time spent on them for her (even with brutal strength).

Killers complain about too much risk. The problem is, killer should be less relaxing than survivor otherwise the 80/20 ratio would be impossible to maintain.
How does that make sense? Survivors have to be surviving, there has to be a risk of something for death... the devs routinely ask if this is a horror game.
Killer routinely deals with 4 people at a time whereas the survivors mainly have to worry about 1. There is already an imbalance with that ratio (it's already something like 95/5 at the moment), so it's not like that's going to be maintained at all.
-
I think the amount of catering towards survivors in a match needs to go down a little bit. Maps, matchmaking, and in game mechanics all have this mentality behind them.
I will use Hexes as an example: most of them have effects that are not worth totems. Three perks actually deserve them: Devour Hope, NOED, and Haunted Grounds.
Then they tell the survivor if a totem is in play, so they'll go to the few totem spots on the map, and cleanse them. Survivors can be smart, they can figure it out on their own. If someone gets instadowned against a killer that can't do that normally? You know it's devour or haunted. If you see a gen spark after you leave it, you know it's ruin. Heck, survivors can predict if the killer has Monitor, BBQ, Rancor, or any number of other perks just through normal gameplay. And killers have to do the same with every survivor perk (or most of them).
They also don't need as many second chance perks like they do. Maps shouldn't take a gens worth of time to traverse, the toxicity they can get away with... it all comes back to that attitude, I think. Don't treat survivors like children who need everything given to them.
-
@Feyd said:
This has only happened to me once. And it was because I was doing the flashlight save challenge and I got someone off the trapper's shoulder. I hate using flashlights and when he went to camp the exit so he could open it the second the gens were done I felt horrible.
That being said, how many killers use cheap tactics and feel bad when they make a survivor DC or just give up and suicide on hook? I don't think I've ever met one that wasn't cackling like a hyena with glee at the notion that they just upset someone.
Well, if a survivor DCs on final hook I treat it like a normal death. If they dc on first down I let the team farm and escape.
But if I see someone using all meta perks... it makes me a little pissed at their lack of originality.
-
Makes me sad because they're less likely to play killer now.
-
Point grind + information? That's two great reasons in one!
-
Yeah no. If a survivor is risking an unhook so close to you and makes it obvious, then you have no reason to leave.

How is reducing grind in a paid game pay to win
Allowing the option to buy levels with money is a really bad idea. If you monetize the game's progression system, then what's to stop them monetizing everything else.
And it is pay to win, since those who pay can get all the perks and items they want faster.

That's not a complete counter, but yeah, fair enough.
But it also increases the rarity of found items, so I'd consider it stronger. The amount of Red keys I've found with that perk alone...

To be honest we even let ourselves get hooked several times, some tried camping and didn't work, we 99% last 3 gens on 2 of those games and the killer DCed at the end of the match.
Hm... I don't know then... If you failed skill checks intentionally that might've been a bit more friendly then. Was the killer trying to play seriously?

Plunderer's. It highlights dropped items as auras.

How did you not know this already?
I was asking if the Dark Devotion KI readings (very specific part of the power) transfer was a glitch or not. It appears it isn't, which is a very weird interaction between killer power and perk.
I may have the most hours in Legion I know of, but I was just confused about that very specific part of his kit.
-
@Deadeye said:
I don't get your plan. DD just works with basic hits right? And that consumes half of your power gauge. So you first need to wait until your power is back, then find someone to use Frenzy on and then make use of the KI? Isn't DD already gone by then? Also the heavy breathing gives some hint, so you are not that stealthy anymore even if you would still be undetectable
Here is my plan with this build: Dying Light has a slow buildup, so I use Corrupt to buy time. Legion sucks in getting the first hit if people know where he's coming from. So, I use Dark Devotion, hit the obsession, leave the obsession, and then by the time you find someone you will have frenzy back (this build only works if you have one ruler addon, and besides, you don't always need frenzy if they stay injured, which many do against a legion). It's good for being unpredictable, and when people realize you have it, they get very wary whenever the obsession gets hit.
My question about the KI readings was about if this glitch where it transfers it to the obsession was intentional, but it appears that is the case.
-
@HellDescent said:
It is. The obsession takes on your tr when hit with regular attack. The same effect will apply to doctors static blast and affect bt, coulrophobia, unnerving and overwhelming presence
Well, I know how DD works, it's just weird that the KI readings get transferred too.

If I could direct you to the dbd wiki (not official, I know, however is the best source of info we have), you can see that killer instinct shows anyone within the terror radius. Therfore, Dark Devotion will show anyone within the obsession's terror radius, as it's classed as that of the Legion. Therefore, it doesn't act weird, as it interacts with the terror radius like all other terror radius perks. Think of KI as similar to Unnerving Presence, it works within the terror radius currently emitted.
Well, That definitely answers the question.
It's just weird that it works with DD that way.
-
Head on is my favorite Exhaustion perk. It takes skill to use, and is very fun. If used creatively, it can be used to extend chases, not just to start them! It's the only exhaustion perk I respect if a survivor uses it.
(I don't think the other perks will do so well here...)

Nurse was the only killer that I know of got an unexpected basekit nerf and that was because she actually broke the game.
While in the meantime weaker killers at the time like Freddy and Doc got some basekit buffs.
Leatherface is one of the weaker killers so unless I’m missing something, I don’t quite get the logic of believing they will nerf his basekit.
@Fibijean said:
As @Nameless mentioned, the only killer whose base kit they have nerfed alongside an add-on rework was the Nurse, who was the uncontested strongest killer in the game. They're not going to do that to a killer like Leatherface, who almost everyone (including the devs, most likely) considers to be mid-tier at best.
Spirit's window vault animation isn't a basekit nerf?
-
@LemeTheMeme said:
The only logical way to remove his facecamp capabilities is to make it so when he reaches 100% on his saw, it goes. Also, adding like a 5 second cooldown so he can't immediately rev up again. If that were to happen, he would need so many buffs to help his in chase potential. Whether it's by increasing his speed, acceleration, I don't know, but I do know it will make him more oppressive during chases and less while face camping.
But holding the saw up is one of the few bits that require skill to know when to use it.... I wouldn't want him dumbed down for it.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
It's intentional, it's tied to your tr, if you would run tinkerer you wouldn't see anyone in Frenzy.
Well, I was hoping for a Dev to confirm that... but it seems it is. Which is a bummer 'cause I would love for Dark Devotion to not be weird like that.

I like Laurie, Jeff, and Tapp.... heck I like most of them. I've got a P2 Laurie and a P1 Tapp. I want to get all three to P3, 'cause I think the P3 Jeff head would go with his sweater well...
-
Well, it depends, did they get 2 hooks on each of you (Sacrifice points)? did they hit you multiple times (brutality points)? Were they able to use their power well (devious points)? Did they get enough chaser points for it to be worth it? Or were the games done fast enough where they didn't get nearly enough, and possibly only a few of the BBQ stacks...?
Survivors also have to think of the killer a little when doing that. BPS is just a sign of an overconfident player (or team) in a lot of cases...
-
If you asked about the old OoO, I would've said yes. Now though? No. It can stay. It's garbage against stealth killers and Dark Devotion. I'm good. : )

Isnt there one where you have to hit a survivor after post phasing with spirit ??
There is one for grabbing a survivor, one for using Spirit Fury, one for using Rancor... and yes, there is one for hitting one with the grudge score event (post-phase hit).
-
Technically, on console you don't need to buy Doc, and on PC, you can earn both over time. Whether or not you'll do that is an entirely different question.
-
I don't know. Maybe boil over if I had to choose, but I haven't played with Kate's perks since I got her adept...

The gens seem to go even faster than before the ruin changes (even when I didn't run it because I don't like Hexes), so I just bring it on killers that I'm not great on just because I predict it's going to be necessary.
