It’s all born out of them being upset they got caught and died is all.
Personally, legit tunneling is targeting a survivor when you don’t need to, such as off rip at 5 gens or the survivors are already loosing the game. I completely understand tunneling if you’re down to 2 gens and nobody is dead or have multiples on death hook. I will tunnel at that point as killer, and I understand as a survivor.
But some survivors will always be salty about it because they want killers to play by their own rule book. There have been plenty of times the survivor causes their own “tunneling”. If you body block me with your BT, I’m just gonna put you back on hook after I catch you. If I come back to hook and they are self caring or on a gen right by hook, I’m not just gonna “oh man I just hooked them, gotta ignore them”. Or sometimes I just by coincidence run straight into them again, and they end up going down again by no fault of my own.
At the end of the match I’ll still get hate for it, but I really don’t care lol. I love a end game chat filled with salty survivors. 😂

Exactly! I’ll ask in post game and a lot of them are all solo. But they typically synergize really well.

For some weird reason urban evasioners have been on the rise and self care is still very much used and without botany knowledge.
As a killer i have field day with these survivors only problem is i can never find them urban evasionin and spine chilling in some bush but when i do they usually go down like sack or rice. As a survivor i think about my life choises while i hang on hook or sit on a gen and see this random urban evasion survivor pass with.
These survivors are the ones that dont do anything quite usually too. I can loop the killer for 2-3 gens timewise but they have been too busy hiding instead of touching and gen.
Atleast somebody feels my exact pains. You get it. 🥹

Yeah, I had a nostalgia flashback. When ya didn't have a lot of perks to choose from, those were some of the go to perks during early gameplay.

Gonna be that guy.. but if you’re being tunneled successfully, it’s a skill issue. 10 seconds base of bt and 10% haste is a ton of time to get to a loop. You don’t see skilled survivors complaining about being tunneled and that’s a fact, because the killer often throws the game trying to tunnel a good looper.. hence why they try and tunnel the weak link.. just saying.

Man I really wish they would change something about this..
An idea I had was some kind of new offering…
We could have different offerings that tremendously increase the chances of going to a specific map!! Yea, I think that’d be cool!!
I think that would maybe fix the issue your having too. But they’d prolly never add something like a map offering to allow us to chose a map we want to play. What a bummer.

Honestly, if I know it’s SWF, I hard tunnel one out. I know his buddies will come for the save immediately and usually in pairs. Just prox the hook, get a trade at the least, but get one out quickly. It’s simply the best way to counter a SWF.

I justttt had that happen. I didn’t know to look out for it so I didn’t record it. Me and the survivor were stuck in place for a good 5 or 6 seconds before he just disappeared.

Yeaaa my first game wasn’t very flattering. Got 1 kill and it was a dc lol.
Just played a survivor game against him and he would fly past me then come back and hit me. Must have been lagging. Anddd I got tunneled out so that’s fun.

You do realise that the topic of this thread is please stop slugging for the 4K.
The rationale for why is “because I don’t don’t find it fun.”
Most of the replies are a mix of I don’t like it either and don’t understand it mixed with assumptions about motivations to why people do it. All of which are portrayed as negative character traits.
The few people who have said hey it’s just gameplay and can make good sense if you want a 4K have had that thrown back at them again solely with the it’s not fun don’t do it as the whole rationale.
My wall of text is broken up into separate paragraphs detailing my point, unlike yours err but I read it anyway.
I’ve been very specific I even posted a set of specific questions which really didn’t get answered, so I’m not sure how much more specific you need me to be?
Why wouldn’t people who slug for the 4K have time to it? The have time to play dbd, it’s part of dbd.
The last implication isn’t aimed at you. The idea is slugging for the 4K is not fun for others so don’t do it.
Well I guess that makes me a selfish gamer because I sometimes like going for the 4K and the best way to do it is often to slug the 3rd and avoid the hatch spawn.
Maybe try some of that thinking about your post that you’re touting before replying to this one. (That is a dig at you but your post does imply you rarely find anything wrong with what you write and that kinda screams ego over thought, tis all in good fun though).

I think everybody understand it’s part of the game. It’s just irritating to sit there for 4 minutes. It’s a rant. That’s what forums are for. :)

I'd totally be down to ignore/not care about survivor #4 getting the hatch at all times if I was awarded any missing scoring events I could get from them any time that they do so...
If not, I'm not really about handing out freebies at my own expense, sorry.
Of course, if the last survivor wants to maximize everyone's time efficiency and walk into my swinging weapon to end the game, I will certainly respect their decision to make the most of their own personal time and end the game ASAP.
You’re missing the point my man. There’s nothing wrong with chasing and killing the last survivor. I do so as a killer. I never give freebies unless it’s really earned. But if you read my post again.. the annoyance was being slugged AND bledout. Me and ole boy had to sit there for 4 additional minutes while the killer just sat there, rather than hooking. Not to mention, letting somebody bleed out gives negligible BP.
All I’m saying, is AT THE LEAST, hook them or attempt to hook them.
Everybody is free to play how they like, I am just simply discussing something that I found annoying that fellow killers do. :)

It's not like you can actually expect the player to be running this add-on, as most do run Alchemist's Ring and one of the Blighted animals.
To be honest, I see no easy counterplay, if the killer can literally rush at me and make a turn of ~120 and still hit me, which'd be impossible without the add-on(s). Well, I'm fine if the player hits me, but I'm not fine with how those hits do look like! It probably looks on from his point of view like a clear hit, but from my point of view, there was no way that attack has actually and could've actually hit me - Which is why I have decided to run in that direction in the first place.
Although I have talked about the higher look angle, the add-on on its own alone isn't problematic; Like you've mentioned, it becomes problematic only when paired with other add-ons, and there are currently only five or six other add-ons outta twenty that I do face.
They're Alchemist's Ring, Adrenaline Vial, Blighted Crow, Umbra Salts, Blighted Crow, and Pustula Dust. Those add-ons do literally carry players and make landing hits while using lethal rush numerous times easier.
You can hit 180 flicks without addons.. those hits are not impossible without addons, I NEVER run addons with blight unless I’m popping streamers.

Not typically. I’m filling the role of killer, and I typically don’t stray from it. I usually always go for the 4k. I won’t slug the 3rd for the 4k… if they get hatch, they get hatch. But I’ll close the hatch if I find it first and kill them if they can’t get through a gate in time.
On occasion if a survivor is juicing me pretty hard in chase WITHOUT teabagging, clicking, pointing, etc, I will let them have hatch for taking me on a good chase without being toxic about it. But that’s about it.
No, I don’t accept item offerings.

Just join a discord and join a SWF. Literally that easy. There’s so many ways to avoid solo.

I love lobbies like this. Especially 4x beam boys. I just throw franklins on and watch them panic. They usually completely throw the game trying to pick up their precious beamers. Then I get called bad for anticipating their last second character switches and running a “noob perk”. I love it xD

i just threw that challenge on and forgot about it. I got it within 3 games or so by just playing. Don’t even think about it too much.

you should know.. each killer has its own MMR. Just because you have a “high” mmr with one killer, does not mean it’s high for every killer. My blight mmr is very high because I’m good with him, my nurse mmr is low because I suck with her.
Some of the killers you ranked 1 would be 4’s and 5’s in high mmr, while some of the 3’s and 4’s would be 1. But I understand it’s your own personal take. Just gotta disagree with most of it!
