  • Not really about Spirit but the people I've ran against are usually #########, facecamping first hook before either a gen or ruim is found, that sorta thing.

  • Gotta love how abysmal Clown is, so underplayed OP forgot he exists.

  • Strangest thing I saw was a Bubba defending the basement chest and he had insidious, I was playing in a 3 man so I chilled around and watched what would happen. The random Nea came down there and kept pointing at him and the chest, as soon as she entered the animation to open it she was immediately obliterated by the saw. When he hooked her and everyone saw we all just sat there and pointed at her, she died and that was it.

Killers are too, TOO dependent on this perk, especially m1 killers.

That's not true, there are many valid alternatives to Ruin, most killers are just too lazy to use them.

Yeah let me just replace Ruin with Dying light, Thanatophobia, or Pop. The problem with running any of those three perks over Ruin is that they don't stop gens early game from being burned in 30 seconds by survivors that spawned together, Ruin does. At the bare minimum Ruin gives you enough time to get the ball rolling and really start the pain train and gives you time to get other slowdown perks into effect. Corrupt is probably the best ruin alternative, it lasts about as long usually and it stops gens from being popped too soon giving you more than enough time to patrol all gens.

  • Not gonna lie as a Legion main, I'd have to say it's not worth it yet until they buff him. Until then I'd hold on to the shards unless you're a masochist like I am. To be fair he is definitely playable, the best build I've found on him is Ruin, Pop, Sloppy, and Thana, his whole power is meant to slow the game as much as possible and those perks bring it to the next level.

Imagine buying a game, base game is there, but then the rest of it is hidden behind paying or grinding. So you pay and grind, buy some cosmetics along the way. THEN! THEN! Wait for it. Boom they add a battlepass, and all the good stuff is put behind a pay wall. Yes, it's affordable, but that's beside the point. It's another micro transaction, and it's one that a free to play game such as fortnite or apex uses. If they REALLY wanted the money they'd be putting all the items in the store individually for us to buy, and even then I'd be okay with that because I could choose what I wanted, and not feel forced to pay for the battlepass. They aren't FORCING me to buy it, but they sure did put all the good stuff behind the 10$ it takes to get the majority of new items they decided to release all at once. And whats bad about it is normalizing micro transactions. They were already in the game, we don't need more ways to fit them in and make the game a advertising simulator. I feel like I've spent enough money for one game.

Ahh, I didn't realize they're locking certain cosmetics behind the battle pass entirely. Yeah nvm, I changed my mind

Nope, I heard that comment a little under a week ago on the stream.

Wow, that genuinely hurts my soul and brain. That there are people dumb enough to compare Nurse or Spirit to Legion, and then there's people that nod along and agree with such stupidity.

  • @Bleediss said:

Well, a streamer I watched for a little bit said "Legion has no counterplay like Nurse and Spirit."

So I guess those people exist and that's why they DC.

That was before the nerf, Legion has a lot more counterplay now than before.

  • I don't think a lot of people are getting what I meant or maybe I said it wrong, I didn't mean that Nurse is dead (by no means she is) but her basekit is suffering next patch and a lot of people who either just got the hang of Nurse or those who hate using addons are not gonna be happy, so a chunk of players are gonna flock to Spirit. From playing red ranks as survivors and what my friends complain about it's usually that they're always playing against Spirit and Nurse, that's not a controversial statement by any stretch considering they are hands down the best killers in the game, I don't care that you're good with X killer rather I'm talking about how good the killer is itself. Nurse ignores survivors defenses and Spirit is the strongest mind gamer available with some crazy addons.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

are people seriously still that much of a baby

Because mending is hard. In all seriousness though people do that because the game takes a bit longer than most and a lot of players still don't know how to loop properly so being injured all the time is a death sentence.

  • @Mr_Goodman said:

I'm in red ranks, and I never understand this mindset of it only being filled with Nurse/spirit mains. Have people forgotten that Billy and Freddy are also viable? Rank 2 Freddy and I can hold my own against swf groups.

I feel ya I play Freddy a lot now too, he's underappreciated. I'm just calling it as I see it, I see way more Spirits and Nurse's than I do Freddy's and a lot of Nurse mains who got used to her and don't wanna change are gonna feel the nerf to her basekit and flock to the other best killer in the game.

  • @Mister_xD said:

    nurse is not dead.

she is still a top tier killer.

she is probaply still the best killer in the game.

please stop acting like they killed her, when in fact they didnt.

also, this PTB i almost only played Trapper in red ranks and still did very well.

That's great, I play Legion red ranks and still have good games. Play against a sweat squad carrying insta heals with one guy following you around with object sabotaging every trap you set and see how you feel, I used to play him too. Either way you may like the nurse changes but a lot of people don't, personally I think the addons are cool with some great ideas but the basekit nerf wasn't the right thing to do. I'm just saying that people are gonna leave nurse as soon as they start losing games with her and swap to Spirit

  • @premiumRICE said:

If you bothered to play more killers and learn to play them you will discover there is more than spirit and nurse out there even for and at red ranks

Why do you think I play Legion (if you paid attention you'd know), I do play other killers. Spirit is easy mode, there's a reason so many players play her at the high ranks. As I said before I like a challenge so I don't stoop to playing Spirit where all I need is game sense and headphones, but others I can't speak for. My friends I play with always talk about how almost every game they fight a spirit on Console, and they're rank 1 survivors every month. I'm just saying what others have for months, tell me I'm wrong that Spirit is actually difficult to play.

  • @MegMain98 said:

After the new Nurse changes I’ve been seeing ALL over the place that players have stated the following...

    “Nurse is dead.”

    “RIP Nurse”.

”Spirit is the only viable red rank killer against a good SWF group now.”

    ”Red ranks have no diversity.”

I personally do not believe Nurse is terrible and I STILL believe she is the best killer in the game because she ignores all survivor defenses and if you’re good with Nurse, you rarely miss your blinks anyways.

But are Nurse and Spirit REALLY the only killers you can play at red ranks and win? The answer is no.

Ever since Plague was released I have made her one of my main killers and I typically 3-4K with her. Of course I have my dud matches but 90% of the time my matches end in a 4K. I am Rank 1 by the way.

Not to mention Hag and Billy are very good as well. Huntress is an awesome killer too. I know players who main Leatherface and Doctor in higher ranks and they do very well.

You’re not gonna win all your matches, just let that sink in. So many people focus on their negative matches and ignore the five previous matches they had that ended in a merciless victory and a 4K.

I’m just so tired of people claiming that the game is a Nurse/Spirit meta when it is clear that other killers can do well in red ranks. It’s just not gonna come as easily.

Who do you main at your rank and how do your matches typically go?

Honestly I'm a Legion main, rank 1. I'll usually always get a 3k with hatch escape but when it's a hardcore Swf group it's literal hell, games like that I'll just leave, not worth the time or patience. Nurse and Spirit are the only viable killers because they can deal with the sweat squads better than any other.

The most powerful and broken survivor add-ons.

SWF's Ace in the Hole if the Killer somehow struggles too well.

ITS COMPLETELY UNFUN TO PLAY AGAINST, REALLY, WHEN YOU KEEP PRESSURE, DEFEND LAST GENS, YOU ARE FORCED TO SLUG BCS THE GEN IS NEARLY DONE, AND THIS GOOD ADD-ON COMPLETELY RUINS ALL YOUR GAME.

pls, nerf insta-heals like Legion was nerfed.

UPD: By the way, moris also must be nerfed, it will be ok if they will useable only after 2 hooks (if someone sabotage your hooks or you found DS survivor)

Red Insta heals are nerfed in the 3.3.0 ptb, that's something.

  • Honestly I'm ok with medkit being a bit better now that they're nerfing red insta heals, no more downing someone and breaking the pallet just for them to immediately get picked up to full and the nightmare begins again. Purples are looking really strong now for when you know you're taking a hit and have half a second to spare, that's really what makes me nervous. (Franklin's time if it gets spammed too much IG)

  • Honestly as much as his power has (on a map where you can actually make use of it which is more limited than you would think) great stall potential he just gets obliterated by optimal survivors for the simple fact that his power does absolutely nothing in chase which is a recipe for a bad killer for example Bubba, Wraith basekit, and to a lesser degree Ghostface. Not to mention his power has a massive amount of drawbacks making it even more awkward to use sometimes especially on Lery's if you don't have a good headset. He needs either great buffs to his power to make it more comfortable to use and less of a handicap at times OR add some kind of gimmick to make it end chases quicker (like making double hit survivors move a bit slower like 5-10% for 30 seconds or something) anything to speed chases up.

  • Not all of them, nurse doesn't need a passive ability but a decent amount of other killers really do.

Whenever someone makes a post about game balance it devolves into this

That or it's another discussion about how awful Legion is. Tbh Clown and Bubba are worse but Legion gets a lot of attention around here and I can see why.

  • Legion with Sloppy, Thana, Pop, and either Ruin or Corrupt. Is he a ######### killer? Yes, but with this build with a little luck you can get to rank 1 if you play good enough.

  • I see this happening after they add dedicated servers, and honestly after how hard those sucked I doubt this will happen for a long time.

  • They really should add this to the game, if they're worried about people not liking it just make it a toggle to turn it off and on in the options.

  • Not gonna lie, this is Zubat you're showing. Someone who is fantastic at playing both sides, meaning he knows what a good player is gonna do more often than not and with a killer that benefits from guessing correctly he's gonna ######### on people

Sad to say, but it's true. Although, thanks to the slowdown build pethat's been popping up for Legion and Plague, somethin tells me they may get more attention.

If it's bad attention, I may contemplate living, but that's by the by.

"Oh man people are using new Legion right now, nerfing I mean rework time"

  • I'd vote but I don't play nurse nearly often enough, rather not voice my opinion on something I have no clue about.

  • This would be awesome, maybe behavior could add in themes like this and have it as an option (just a toggle) where you could have this play or the standard music.

  • @Zixology said:

    No seriously. Why even bother?

Hooks spawn 5 meters away from each other. 30% of killers run Iron Grasp for some reason. Body blocking is pointless since Mad Grit exists.

Honestly, just remove the wiggle mechanic already. It's worthless.

In all honesty this is a pretty bad habit. Always just wiggle, it makes it harder for the killer to hook you normally, stops them from basement hooking you early when they normally couldn't, and if there are teammates willing to help save you from being hooked via bodyblocking and taking hits you're screwing them over too (while it is rare it does happen occasionally).

  • Macmillan Estates are usually the most balanced maps in the game it feels like, Coal tower for example.

  • Depends on the rank and the map (I play at about rank 2 with Legion). A 4 man team doing everything as best as possible (and as optimal as possible) will make you wanna vote 1 but most of the time there's only 1 guy who's that good on a team for me anyways but I can feel the potential.

  • As much as I like Legion, Clown and Leatherface need some love much more.

  • Frank's is worthless now, getting mori'd when you weren't watching the offering screen is one of those down your drink times

  • I gotta go with Myers, addon potential can be pretty scary especially with dumb teammates that unintentionally let him farm.

  • Nah, Instead I played Survivor (which I almost never do) with a kinda mean build and had some fun. Build was (Quick and Quiet, Head On, Inner Strength, and DS)

  • As much as I like Legion and I want him to get buffed asap, Clown and Bubba are honestly worse. Clown and Bubba have 0 map pressure and 0 stall potential, Legion at least can stall out a game very well.

So I just watched the trailer, reviewed perks which are amazing and checked some gameplays, I basically made my come back to DBD almost 2 months ago due PSN PLUS, I just bought GF which is great however I really like the Legion idea and looks but I've also heard bad reviews.

    Is it worth to purchase?

    Is it really that bad?

How good is at collecting BP?

I usually feel closer to unseen or unheard killers like GF, The Whrait or the PIG but The Legion is very fast and can multi hit which I believe can be a lot of fun.

Can it be purchased with diamonds?

    Let me know, cheers

PSN players who wants to play once in a while PSN Raccoons_cr

As a Legion main I'd have to say, not yet, wait for the addon buffs at least. I enjoy him but others say he's boring (which I understand). You're entire purpose is to slow the game down as much as physically possible and grab easy downs along the way so I run this build (Ruin, Pop, Thana, Sloppy), early game you'll want to abandon bad chases and stick only if you know you'll get them quick and focus on getting everyone injured and then work from there. If everyone heals and starts stacking on gens, you frenzy. I don't bother running addons because all but a few are abysmal and I'd rather wait to use them when they're good. Be warned some giant maps like Gas Heaven will be near impossible to win on against a decent team, but on the Macmillan estate maps in particular you should be golden.

  • Top 3 favorite Legion skins are Devil-may-care Joey set, either of the susie sets, and the uncommon school jersey for Frank with the rest default.

@Peanits An important thing, I think the game is crashing me by wearing dying light, do the team know?

I gotta agree with that, when I ran it every time I hooked a Meg I would crash.

To be fair, that is a pretty notable thing to leave out :P

That's true lol, but that is a part of it. The obsession on a whim can leave and completely remove your perk, with stbfl you at least keep the stacks you already got.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

I've rather liked it. Granted, only ran it 3 matches on Trapper. I combined it with Thanataphobia, Chili, and Monitor. Took the traps that cause extra bleeding and it was a slaughter. Got to around 4 stacks and the trapfest started. They were unable to get gens done fast. I think I'll mix it with PGW, since goal is lots of hooks, it should work well with that.

Glad you had success with it, I ran it on Legion with thana, pop, and sloppy. Sure it slowed them down a little but early game it doesn't do anything, maybe I just got unlucky with the people who were obsession just dc'd every time I downed them.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

"This perk sounds great on paper, but it doesn't do much of anything 80% of the time against a solid team on a bad map. "

This could be said for most any perk though, right?

Sure, especially for weaker perks. But a lot of good perks most people run usually always have an effect or come into play like Stbfl, Ruin, Enduring, Bbq, whispers, sloppy, and a lot more. Dying light does neither, by the time it's good the game is usually over.

  • I gotta agree, heck I'd pay a little for every killer to have their own chase music if it was good (they've done great soundtracks for the most part so it probably would be good).

  • @Sauceman_Tim said:

    So what's the deal?

It's a buff in my book, sure you shouldn't use it unnecessarily as much but being able to complete a 3 second action with a 2.25 second action while moving is worth it.

  • Yeah on hit for Ambush was removed a while ago, there are some good parts about it though like you don't lose save the best for last stacks when you hit the obsession with an ambush hit

  • Honestly I could care less about Oblivious being introduced as a killer I don't really see the point for it mostly, Undetectable was necessary for certain killers that relied entirely on stealth, I still think spine chill should work against them maybe at a shorter distance but Object of obsession vs Ghostface or Wraith was punishing.

My most favourite change is the that portal reduced sound range, portals will be even more useful <3

First thing that popped into my head after reading that was the Hallelujah Chorus, not just another M1 killer I guess

  • Not gonna lie, Legion's swing feels really good kinda like how some people like Freddy's lunge. The animation after is solid as well. Freddy is 1st and Legion is 2nd in my book. Clown's feels really meh to me but the animation and sound after a hit is good.

But what if you you still got 2k, or even more? I guess people like you will never know the joy of over coming adversity. Do you buds, enjoy the easy way out.

There in lies why I usually don't even dc anyways, the what if. It depends on my mood and rank at that point, if I'm feeling confident and I'm not in the red/purple ranks for once then I'll stick it out, probably 3k with the last guy getting the gate. But if I'm in a bad mood the "overcoming adversity" schtick dies, when everyone chooses the perfect loadout for that very broken map it's damn near gamebreaking. Not an enjoyable slog and when it's over I don't even feel accomplished, just like it wasn't worth it and I should've just left.

  • Worst for me as Killer is Yamaoka, Haddonfield, and Fractured Cowshed (Coldwind maps as a whole are usually pretty meh but that one in particular).

Best for me as Killer is The Game, Rancid Abattoir, Coal Tower, and Lery's.
