I've been using it, it has helped me to do the work of two people.
Half decent toolbox + Stakeout and Hyperfocus means I can cut a lot of time off of gens, especially on my own.

Not that curious since backfill is a thing.
It's not being fixed.

I can guarantee you’re wrong. The devs confirmed a couple of times that only a small fraction of players are at the soft cap.
And yet they still get matched against those people who do sit at the cap.
Curious.

I'd like to try my hand at modding somewhere eventually but I'd probably be awful at it lol
Much love to our Mods here tho <3

That does suck. Even him letting go of survivors? That in particular only happens to me rarely. Dashing through survivors happens a bit more often, but not that often either I believe. Or I am just being too critical of my aim. Sometimes it's hard to tell if a dash should have hit or not. But I am still sure that doesn't happen often to me.
One other thing I have noticed is that sometimes, the game doesn't let you use your ability, even though a survivor is right in front of you. That definitely screwed me up once, and of course such moments are very frustrating.
But I don't know, these frustrations just don't happen that often to me.
That one averages once every other match.

A refund? I get that hating BHVR is the trend here, but these issues will be fixed.
I understand that the hype will be dead by the time he’s made a functioning killer again, but in that case all you need to do is get a friend to hit you really hard on the head.
Nemesis still causes freezes on Console. These things may not be fixed.
Also, I never said I wanted a refund. I said I felt like I wasted money on a product that doesn't work.

Weird. I do encounter these bugs occasionally, but not nearly enough for me to not enjoy Wesker. He is so much fun to play as in my opinion.
I hope they iron out those bugs soon. I have no idea what exactly causes him to just let go of survivors sometimes. But there has to be some intention there as well, right? Considering there is an extra animation of him letting go of survivors.
I hope they at least are able to fix his hit detection bugs very soon with a hotfix, and make it a bit more reliable. I guess they could just increase the hit box size slightly, to 25 or at the most 30 cm, if it takes too long to fix the actual bugs and inconsistencies with his dash. Cause something like this should be fixed quickly.
I wonder if there is some hit validation going on that is screwing with his dash hit boxes as well.
This is happening multiple times per game to me.
It's completely killed all the hype I had.

I think it's even more disheartening to think that if your second attack there worked, you would have downed someone after DS within two wesker dashes which is beyond broken and highlights how OP tunneling is right now
Which is why I've argued that DS should go back to 5.

If you're seeing many names frequently, that's...sort of arguing my point though, right?
If you were MMR capped and you weren't seeing those names frequently, then something would be off.
And if you're able to 3-4k constantly, yeah - you should be at the MMR cap. But by then, you're facing tourney comps and premades with 10k combined hours, so most people won't be able to.
I do not play against tourney teams.

I think this is intentional to prevent hug techs which isint too bad but who knows
I mean, I wasn't even facing them. I was looking away from them and it still wouldn't let me dash.
Also, that means that tight rock loops and stuff are going to be god-like against him since you apparently can't use your power.

@danielmaster87 said:
I'm just wondering what the perk does now, because survivors already get Haste off hook.
Extra speed I think

Respectfully tho, ######### Doomfist and his kit. What an awful design.
But yes, Wesker's collision is very bugged.

@AVoiceOfReason said:
Chaser doesn't work with his power. He doesn't whip survivors who slow vault a pallet halfway or go halfway through a window. You go through survivors. You can bounce OFF of survivors if you clip them. You drop them from any minor bump on the ground. Sometimes his throws will slide a character off of an object instead of impacting it. Sometimes he'll just drop a survivor for no reason. Sometimes he cannot use his second dash for no real reason. He's aggravating as ######### because of this.
I think if you're too close to an object you also can't use your first dash.
Was trying to practice on a Carlos who was running around some tires, it wouldn't let me Bound at all.
-
If they take you there and they aren't garbage and you aren't playing a specific Killer (Nemesis, Demo, Legion, ect ect) than there's not much you can do.
Almost every pallet on the map is either completely safe or a god pallet.

Hmmmm.

I'd love to know why you think that, because I watch streamers and I see the same names pretty often, which wouldn't happen if even many people were at the MMR cap.
On the other hand, I'd reckon that I'm at an 'intermediate' MMR, and I seldom see the same name twice unless I'm playing at very odd hours.
The MMR cap isn't very high.
As long as you win more than 50% of your games, you should get there passively.
I see many names frequently and some that I've never seen before. The system is completely random for Killer at the moment.

Freddy does.

The difference is:
- It was super easy to get up to Purple ranks at least. I was in Purple literally two weeks after I'd started playing killer, and was facing SWFs with 1000s more hours than me regularly. SBMM may poop the sheets occasionally, but it's night and day.
- There's no dumb monthly reset on SBMM, so you don't have to avoid playing for the first week of the month if you're newer.
I can almost guarantee that most players sit at the cap of MMR. My matches after SBMM have been way worse than RBMM.
-
@StarLost said:

Eh...this one is hinky.
The only time I see the matchmaker break down this hard is where someone is smurfing their MMR, or you get a lobby with a lot of dodges.
Still beats the trousers off RBMM.
It's essentially the same system.
If you died in RBMM, you probably didn't pip.
If you don't escape in SBMM, your MMR doesn't go up.
-
The matchmaker is awful?
Consider me shocked.
-
I genuinely feel like you should just equip STBFL and use his power to zone exclusively.
It's too unreliable to use for hits right now. It was bad on the PTB, because there wasn't really any Survivor counterplay but now it's bad in the opposite direction.
-
He kinda just slides around.
It's bad.
-
I quite like it, actually.
I thought it countered Adrenaline, but it really counters 99'ing the Gates.
The Gates have to be open, or else you can just keep trading Hooks forever.
-
Maybe a 3 to play as. It'd be higher if people weren't sweating their ass off.
8 to play against. It'd be higher if people weren't sweating their ass off.

But the people who dont want it could just turn it off.
I really want a endgame chat on console because i am sick of private messaging someone when i just want to send a gg and i am tired of disableing messages just because of DBD.
Also i want to be able to communicate with Xbox, Switch and PC plasers aswell.
There are so mans reason why we should get it and like i said before, the people who dont want it could just turn it off.
Let's leave it off permanently
-
Yes, he can definitely Stalk up to Tier III in 20 seconds.
-
He's alright.
He needs some fast changes I think. Most people do not seem to be enjoying him, although I am glad that you are.
-
I am not good enough to use it, so I'll take your word for it.
-
I don't think it's particularly close.
Nemesis has one of the best purely chasing powers and Wesker has a bugged mess of a power that can't be used to injure reliably.

I mean I understand the how and where to use the power. It's just...actually landing the power, or having to put up with landing the power and not getting rewarded for it due to the buggy slam hitboxes and elevation issues. Or dealing with not being able to even press the button when you want to (which is annoying as hell...let me at least screw up and hit a wall instead of my button literally doing nothing).
Well, I can say that after losing for the umpteenth time tonight (and being told to off myself to boot) that I'm done with him until they hotfix him.
It's incredibly difficult to hit Survivors who just spin in front of you. You will slide off.
Also, sorry if I sound angry, I've gotten spammed with ######### all night.
-
I'd say wait until the hotfix.
He's very frustrating.
-
It is somehow worse.

Well I have been playing him a lot this evening. So yeah, I think they are. And I don't see why BHVR would change the hit box and collision box sizes any further to be honest.
You can definitely still hit survivors, you just need to be more precise, that's all.
Me on my way to slide off, hit but not hit or simply just dash through Survivors...
Yeah, I think they need work. You are the first person I have seen to say that they're good.
-
Let's not.
-
Situational Awareness got killed because of Nurse.
I'm not happy about it but I am glad Nurse doesn't have that perk.

Why is he bad because of that? His hitbox is smaller than that of Demo, yes that's true. But I don't see that as much of a problem. It simply takes more skill to hit a survivor with the ability. And sure, survivors also have more counterplay by dodging his ability, but that's a good thing.
His hit box and collision box now seem to be in a good state if you ask me.
They aren't.
Play him more

Yeah, I'm having the same experience. He's exceedingly easy to juke. Hell, sometimes I don't do anything and they juke themselves. Just sail right past me. He certainly doesn't feel unfair or unfun to me; I'm thinking they need to loosen up his hitbox, if anything. He was much more threatening on the PTB.
Yeah, I'm sliding off Survivors, going through them or just not damaging them when I hit them.
I'd say he's pretty far from unfair to Survivors rn

Yeah, I think my best Killer is Nemesis, considering he's the only one I've consistently had get 8K+ hour players.

Yes, here's a clip from someone else on the Forums.

Blight's swing hitbox is small? I never noticed. That being said, yeah, Wesker's hitbox is the size of his little Wesker if you catch my drift. I can't believe how small they made it. I started running Shadowborn to try and counter all the survivors running up on me while I attempt to use it. Lol.
Yes, Blight's intitial Lethal Rush hitbox is large, but after about half a second it narrows to a very small cone.

Garden of pain, does sound annoying with his power, though I have been having a decent time on Ormond and the majority of cold wind maps
I have zero opportunity to learn because everyone put on their tryhard pants today it seems.
Everybody is playing perfectly and I don't want to facecamp someone just so that I can use my power. I guess my MMR is too high or something and it just stuck me with players who are way to good for a Killer that I haven't even begun to learn.
Either way, I'm super ######### angry and really frustrated, sorry.
-
Having a miserable time playing Wesker.
Haven't seen a Survivor under P50 and I haven't been able to get ANY hits with his power yet.
Games are lasting 5 minutes and I'm getting taken to Ormond, Coldwind, Garden of Pain, ect.
######### miserable time.
