You have to realize that tunneling is just the optimal play most of the times.
Whether she could have landed an extra hit on your friend is debatable and imnot gonna comment on that without footage, but sometimes you will lose your actual victim if you do thatBe honest though, she wasn't playing in an 'optimal' way, she was mad because of Dead hard. I can understand Sprint burst but Dead hard? ######### is the logic. Next thing you know, Deja vu is considered a toxic genrushing perk.
With all the ######### killers have to go through sometimes, im not surprised.
But again, without footage its hard to tell. But does it hoenstly matter what the reason was?Kind of yeah. By the way, I totally understand the ######### killers go through nowadays. The gens are horrible nobody heals and everyone just rushes them. If I play Wraith or Billy, they won't go so hard. But when I'm Spirit or Nurse they will not give me a chance.
I get that it's the aim of the game but holy ######### some people are unbelievably good at rushing. Fck that self care nerf, that's what caused this. If it was never nerfed killers wouldn't be going through such extreme genrushing. I hope the devs revert the changes because nobody heals. Getting instadowned isn't even that bad since 3 gens are done by the time you kill someone now that everyone has realised how useless SC is.

DH is by no means game changing. its about as useful as sprint burst, both of which I'd gladly trade for better perks. Killer is just a bad sport.No. Sprint burst is the second best exhaustion perk. Balanced is 1st. Dead hard is 3rd. Top 3 are good it's just Lithe that sucks.

Thanata is trash. Even in the best circumstance possible it's still trash, never use it till it gets buffed.BBQ and MYC combo on her is godlike and I highly recommend it. 3rd I like Ruin for the slow down, basically mandatory. Lastly I take Stridor. Her entire game play relies on her hearing and Stridor just makes it even better, highly recommend it as well.
Whispers is better for killers with low mobility, Spirit isn't weak in that area, she can cover the map quite quick so I think there are better choices. Nurses is always a decent perk and a safe bet if you like it, I just prefer the others. Sloppy also thrown in is another choice I think is worth considering.
BBQ, MYC, Ruin, Stridor are her best perks imo and I feel quite strongly about that
I don't think I'll be using Stridor since I mainly track using footsteps and Stridor messes up my hearing because it distracts me a little I'll try it though but the rest is great. I won't be using Sloppy either since an alarming amount of people will not try to heal and they genrush. Sure you down them in 2 seconds but the gens still pop like mad.
People really praise MYC, I'm waiting for it to come into shrine since I'm too cheap to buy it

@vampire_toothy said:
Thanatophobia really isn't worth it on its own, for me I find that these builds work pretty well for me ;
MYC / BBQ / Shadowborn / Sloppy Butcher
MYC / BBQ / STBFL / Sloppy Butcher
MYC / BBQ / STBFL / ShadowbornBasically I mix a couple of perks every here and there though I've been experimenting with spies from the shadow which I could see being somewhat useful though I could also recommend swapping MYC for pop goes the weasel too if you're looking to slow the game down in any sense.
More than anything, what Spirit needs is the ability to snowball and keep the pressure going so being able to find people for me is more important than just stalling out the players which is why I've recently found shadowborn to be pretty nice. In addition to this if you use Save The Best For Last you can close the gap eventually allowing for some pretty quick phase attacks without wasting too much of your power. Thanks

I'm a weirdo myself and like to avoid some of the standard perks on my spirit. No bbq, no ruin. Right now I've been having a ball using whispers, the newly buffed spies from the shadows, rancor, and stridor. Together they let me play very aggressively even without the higher quality addons. Discordance can also be put in there in place of rancor if you like and it should work fine. My build isn't the cutting edge meta, but I have fun with it and it hasn't really let me down. Alternatively bbq, myc, discordance, and pop goes the weasel is another fun one for me. I love shutting gens down myself and discordance brings me to the most pressing threat gen. Knock a fool down, hook em, kick the gen they were on after you look around to see where peeps are, set off and then come right back when make your choice pops and it all just snowballs.Ok thanks a ton.

TangledNoodles said:I remember the devs saying that it could be built in instead of being a perk at some point. It would be nice because having a full lobby with solo people is a mess, and I'm pretty sure no one likes to get to second stage or end up dying on the first hook because people don't know if someone is going for the save or not.
@weirdkid5 and I have been talking about how to close the SWF and solo Q survivors gap. We agreed that not having Kindred as baseline is the better option since the game is based on not knowing everything. However, I wouldn't be opposed to small details to help the experience of solo Q survivors.
The game honestly needs a seperate Casual/Ranked mode and only allow SWF in Casual mode. That's probably the best fix for the problem. Only real question is if the player base is strong enough to be split.
I wouldn't mind this solution, but I honestly doubt that would work. Also how to balance the game? Balance killers around solo survivors, which would mean a slight nerf to Hillbilly and Spirit and a somewhat bigger nerf to Nurse, could work. Balancing would be more important for ranked, but then what killer would want to play casual?
Why'd you forget Hag

@HavelmomDaS1 Thank you for offering your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to think about potential solutions to keep survivors interested. People DC because they don't have much fun anymore. I think for every person who DC's, the survivors get a 10% speed increase to gens (basically built in Prove thyself). That's it. I also think a built in kindred should be implemented because solo survivor is weak compared to killers.

I am dead serious. When killers have insta queues and survivors have long queues, then the logical consequence is that there are not enough killers anymore. If you can explain that otherwise, Im curious

I guess you're right. I don't know about Ps4 queues, but XBOX 1 queues for survivor was cancerous. PC is different though but that's because there's more rank diversity with different players on each rank. On xbox, most good players stayed at rank 20 (killer and survivor alike) to bully the newer players. It's why escaping rank 20 on xbox is an achievement in itself.

Hardest

- Myers
- Legion (nobody except Tru3 plays him correctly.)
- Clown
Nurse as intermediate but Legion as hard? No way. Legion has a brain-dead power that can be exploited by a broken add-on. All they do is stab at you 28 times. Nurse is mechanically difficult and takes muscle memory and skill.
If you think only Tru3 plays Legion correctly, you obviously haven’t seen Monto’s Legion videos. Although just because few people play them correctly doesn’t mean they are hard to master.
Legion when played correctly is hard. Btw I forgot about Monto and other players my bad. Nurse is not difficult she's extremely straightforward. She's quite brain dead once you get used to how far your blinks go and how to predict survivors. I gave her intermediate because she's not easy for newer players. Honestly, I myself got good with her in 3 games. I know a ton of people who had her down in the 2nd game.
Wait, you're serious about your list? That looked like a clever bait. Wraith harder than billy, trapper harder than nurse, legion hard and mentioning tru3 as the only killer who plays legion right? Please tell me you're joking, that looks like a lot of memes compiled into one list.
Billy is straightforward. I literally just said I forgot about people like Monto playing Legion right. Trapper takes a ######### ton of predicting. No reward though. Wraith needs mindgames to secure a hit.
So mastering billys chainsaw takes the least time out of all killers to master. Are you sure about that??
Is that the reason why there are often threads asking how to control billys saw?Legion is not hard to play. He literally ignores every rule and counterplay. Hold W and M1 to the nearest auraread. If theres none left, hold W and M1 to the last survivor.
Which mindgames does wraith need to secure a hit?
Wait dude you misread it. The 1 is hardest and it goes down to easiest.. I should have clarified. So Billy is the hardest in the easy tier. I meant to put Nurse as the hardest in intermediate, and the hardest is Huntress. I got a little confused myself, my bad. I still think using Legion CORRECTLY (like Tru3, Monto and so on...) is hard. And Wraiths mindgames with the bell, in case you didn't know are actually difficult to understand. At a T/L wall, he can double back similarly to the Pig and against smart survivors, he can just go straight if they expect a double back which messes up their heads. At loops in general, he can do something similar. Jungle gyms are his weakness.
Ah got it. Yeah its confusing since we list from easy to hard, but then you go from hard to easy in the tier.
I still would disagree with some picks. Billy takes a lot of continous effort to play well and missing 1-2 chainsaws can cost you the game. I dont know how hard it is to nail survivors with a controller, but with the mouse, its all but easy. Apart from huntress, i spent the most time perfecting billys chainsaw and theres nothing that comes close to the difficulty of nailing survivors around long loops and adjust to dodges in the span of milliseconds.
I have a theory why people think he is "easy". And that is, because its so hard to hit survivors, that people actually gave up and dont bother to learn it at all and call him mastered when they use it for mobility.
Mobility takes 0 skill indeed though. Its hitting survivors up close which is decently hard. Not to mention midrange saws around loops, which is imo the hardest mechanical skill in the game (Huntress flicking through small slits could top that...)
You can do the billy test. Play shack, start the chainsaw outside the entrance and turn 90-180° to the window. Tell me how often you hit the window. You have to get that down 8/10 times or else you're throwing.
Maybe i have high standards for billy, but if we're talking about mastery, billy is hard man.Do you talk about wraith mindgame using his power? Without addons, i find his power pretty useless in a chase. Couldnt use it effectively to counter palletloops like pig, but maybe i havent tried enough. Does that work without addons? If yes, i'll reconsider my list. So far he seems like the most basic of killers. Uncloak for a free hit, then chase normally. Thats his whole plan, maybe a bodyblock while uncloaking.
I actually do really well as Billy, he's my main right now and I understand his chainsaw extremely well. Spirit is way too hard and I've yet to buy the Hag DLC. With Wraith, he is actually viable with proper perks and no addons. If you time it precisely and mindgame it similarly to Pig, he can actually shut down a loop, addons or not. Always cloak when chasing btw and try to bodyblock. If you don't cloak, you'll lose that pressure in chase. It's extremely difficult to track a cloaked Wraith in chase. More difficult to track then Spirit and that's with her two passive phasing addons. You should try learning it, it's super helpful.
I'll give wraith another shot. I find pigs antiloop just barely strong enough to work and wraiths uncloak is "weaker", so i really doubted that it works, but i'll try again.
Guess everyone is different. I find Spirit relatively easy compared to billy, since there is no mechanical skill involved. She's more about tracking and predictions, which i find pretty easy.
Glad you find billy easy, i mostly see M1llys nowadays who skip his noed part and complain in chat that they hate playing billy because they cant hit #########
Most go for chainsaws on me so I end up forcing them not to by vaulting a window
it's the best way to counter Billy, turn them into a m1lly. -
I'd love that. Honestly.

No I don’t this game is going to out right “Die”
Especially not on PC.
But for Console however. I think unless there’s drastic changes. There’s not long left.
Ive wrote up a few questions and topics and have had some good conversations but have not got told any definitive answer from somebody important.
Not on Twitter, not here, not on the game streams.
But ive checked Twitter. Read a lot of players tweets about the waiting times on console. It’s [BAD WORD] shocking. The amount of people tweeting the DBD page BEGGING for the game to be fixed is terrible.
A lot of people are in the same place I am. Inches away from leaving the game for good.
The waiting times aren’t the only problem.
You cant find a survivor game without waiting 20 minutes. So you try killer. Play a game or 2 and outta nowhere your frame rates drop and it becomes unplayable.
The game is in the worst condition I’ve ever seen it in and I’ve played it since day one of console drop.
But hey at least we’ll have an event to watch PC players take part in on YouTube cause no chance it’ll work at all for console 🙄🙄Actually im surprised how long console killers endured under such circumstances.
Trust me, It's not too bad on console. I remember what it was like. It's playable, not as fun as PC since u can't use Nurse but still decent.
The amount of tools survivors have to make a killer suffer is astonishing.
I just played a freddy game, survivors used DS abused infinites, flashlights and all that crap. ANd you know what, in the end after I picked the last survivor up for my 4k, he exploits and makes my game crash. Im done playing killer again, I hope you all enjoy your queues.Man you're going to main survivor? Please tell me how you find it. I'd love to see if you still find it as braindead as it was back with the double exhaustion, pallet vacuum and those stuff.
Played already a few rounds and yes I find myself holding M1 half of the match.....
DBD is the only competitive game where I can stand up and stretch during a ranked system, simply because I dont need to pay attention and can play with only the mouse in my handYeah tbf the gen part is braindead. Try chasing?
