DS really isn't an issue on Nurse. If you really want to spite locker ds users, play trapper and trap the locker once they're inside. For an added bonus you can use Bloody Coil which will mean if someone goes to help them, they will get damaged.

How come I can survive without iron will then? I’ve played against tons of spirits with and without it, I don’t always live but I never feel doomed without it.
You probably don't face that many good Spirits then or your region doesn't have as many good Spirits. Maybe I'm just bad but I find it very difficult to be unpredictable when the Spirit can know my location 100% of the time and I don't have a hint where she is. Same goes while I'm playing her.

Never said you have to.
You kinda do though. Without Iron Will if you're injured you're as good as dead against most spirit players.

they should at least fix the animations then b/c the survivor literally phased through a closed hatch and escaped.
They can't really fix it without making it clunky. If you'd have to wait for the servers response if the hatch is open there would be situations where you, as a survivor, press the m1 prompt to escape and just stand there for a moment before either not jumping if the killer closed the hatch or escaping.
Same would of course be for killer, you stand there for a moment before closing it.

Stereotypes aside, a lot of survivors I see do adapt. Iron Will is meta now because of the spirit meta, a lot of PS4 survivors seem to be running spine chill which helps a lot against Spirit. This whole “us vs them” mentality is just silly and needs to stop.
People don’t adapt and others do, it isn’t a side, it is people.
Having to use a perk slot (or 2) to counter a killer isn't really fun. Limits loadout possibilities that are already very limited.
-
It isn't much of a problem now that mending doesn't go down while in the terror radius. You won't go down unless you let yourself go down (or the player who rescued you only has tier 1 BT and you didn't know in advance).

Thaks to all of you for the answers.
I understand and you guys have a point but still: we have the choice to not to join the voice chat in order to don't be bother by screamers, teachers, troll... And you are right sometimes they can be annoying!
From and atmosphere point of view yes, indeed alone with no way to communicate is more immersive and challenging... So I do agree that a chat will ruin something in the game.
But as someone says here: why not a lobby chat during the 60 seconds before the match. Like being all together around the fire camp trying to figure out a strategy before the massacre begin. I wouldn't mind that
Yes but this then comes back around on itself. Serious players want everyone to be in voice chat and won't play unless everyone is. This is at least what happens in games like overwatch. I've had teammates throw the game just because I refused to join voice chat. The same thing would probably happen in DbD.
-
The timing is going to be a bit different on dedicated servers (especially when they're not that fine tuned yet). You're going to have to activate it earlier if you're trying to avoid a hit with it.

The man has his priorities :D @FireHazard
The same question has crossed my mind before as well but never bothered to check it.

I didn't say instantly :)
Many killers go away from the hook and wait for them to unhook to instantly down the unhooked survivor again. It is quite easy to do this with spirit or billy and survivors can't do much in that situation.
Often when I come back to the hook when someone has been saved is because the survivors don't give me enough time to find someone else so if I don't see anyone else why would I not go back to the hook? I know at least 2 survivors are there so I have a good chance to start a chase right away.
-
Iron Will is already a top tier perk. It doesn't need a buff. There are other perks that counter slugging that you can use.
-
@arslaN said:
It's not survivors fault at all if the killer pretends that they are going away and then instantly comes back to down the survivor on the hook again.
It's also not the killers fault that the survivors instantly go for the rescue when killers do that.

That would make the "no terror radius frank's mixtape" legion op and unfun to play against because you will go down if legion hits the obsession and then hits you.
Terror radius is a bad mechanic to base an ability that lets you down a survivor because there are so many perks that can maniputalte it that makes it too OP sometimes. So i think that what you propose isn't a good option.
Not really, unless you have perks that completely get rid of the terror radius you won't be getting downs that way and only a handful of perks even remove the terror radius completely.
-
Honestly, if the killer slugs me for the 4k, I'd rather the last guy didn't pick me up. No reason, higher chance the killer will find them if they do.
-
This doesn't change much. If you're in a chase for the full 80% seconds, 3 seconds doesn't matter at all unlike now where the survivor needs to, at some point, go through the full mend whether or not the Legion chased them or not. It would just be easier to reduce the mend time so survivors have to mend earlier in fear of accidentally leaving the Legion's terror radius and going down.
-
iirc the vials last for the whole duration of the rift. Not sure what level the vials are earned at though. Only the halloween items (flashlights, lunchboxes and event offerings) appear in the bloodweb for the duration of the event.
-
I know OP made this by accident but this is honestly where it usually is at.

Mending was never considered healing and snap out of it hasn't been considered healing for a while now.

Kindred wont tell you if the killer is near. Its about making the proper plan to escape, not everything in the world is about SWF.
You can always make multiple escape plans. If the killer is near do X and if not do Y. It's not difficult.
-
This will be fixed once the husk system is implemented. The hatch won't open until the 3rd survivor has been sacrificed/killed by the killer.
-
Slugging is rarely useful in a match. You can't just start the game and decide "I'll just slug and never hook until I've downed everyone", it just won't work. By slugging this way the killer is hurting themselves more than the survivors as they aren't taking any hook stages off the survivors.
Slugging can usually only be used as a way to clutch the game. You see the last 2 survivors, down one and chase the other. Sure it sucks for the survivor to have to wait until the killer downs their friend but I don't really see and easy fix. If they implemented the husk system and allowed the 2nd last survivor to disconnect if they're downed without a penalty.
-
Don't be too hasty and charge your blink right away. See what the survivor does first then decide if you actually want to blink another time.

Guessing is apart of pretty much any pvp game. The fact that you think it shouldn’t be for ONLY this game shows how blatantly weak and unfair guesses are for most killers.
Guessing can be a part of the game, within reason that is. With Spirit it is every time she goes into phase.
-

Translation: I shouldn’t have to guess against her and should get away for free every time.
At least half of that sentence is correct. Guessing doesn't involve skill, it's just guessing. Is she going to phase to this side of the window or that side? Is she even phasing in the first place?
Also, mind game =/= guessing game.
-
iirc Last of Us (or another similar game) had a reactive cover system where if you just walked up to cover it would automatically use it without having to press a button to go up against it. If a cover system were to happen I'd like it to be like that.

I’m a trash spirit but it wasn’t so bad once I started applying myself more against spirit.

I do not have one and cannot currently test it since I’m not home.
No worries, I'm not in a hurry. Anytime you have time :)
-
Do you have a comparison so we can see?
Also, even if you know she is phasing, doesn't mean you know where she is (meanwhile she can hear your breathing/cries/walking/running and see scratch marks/grass moving).
It's all in the hands of the Spirit. You're basically playing the match on autopilot.

And then myers and the chainsaw killers so itll be quite sometime before spirit comes and even then more killers should be looked at....
For the whole "need for counterplay" narrative.... her glass shards glow when she phases and her veins pop as well----> on top of that her animation resets when she phases..... these 3 things are not obvious and shouldnt be because well..... every game itll be survivors walking when ever she does phase at least now theres still a question...
Do you have any video/sc for comparison?
I know that the animation reset thing isn't supposed to happen and it's difficult to see on skins where the hair isn't pointed up.

Peanits is right. When you are on the tally screen you can click the settings button (the gear icon) and go to Match details at the top.
It will show you the page with the names and the character names next to it. Just like it would when you are in-game
Thanks! Really useful information. I've had games where a survivor was griefing but I didn't know who it was so I couldn't report it.
-
Spirit's base kit does need some changes. Mainly ways for survivors to have more counterplay and more feedback on that counterplay.
You don't need to worry about that yet, next rework/add-on rework is going to be Doctor so at least another 6 months before she'll get changed.

4k basement builds say otherwise. Camping being bad is a myth. It works 9/10 games.
It works against bad survivors who don't know any better. A strategy isn't good if it only works against bad players.
Basement is an exception but that doesn't provide much better results.
-
You answered yourself. One window that I still can't understand though is on The Game at one of the exit gates...
-
Except disconnecting is against the rules whereas slugging is not.
-
I dunno. Might be too powerful and you'd basically get double the value if you're healing yourself.

I don't believe I asked how, I'm well aware there is no way to revert, I asked If a feature could be added.
I couldn't disagree more. It absolutely affects the bloodweb. I've pumped tens of millions of blood points at all levels of prestige across killers and survivors alike and there is a very visibly noticeable and mathematically provable difference.
It's been said countless times by devs and community alike that prestiging barely affects the bloodweb item rarity.
I misread your original post about adding it as a feature.
-
DS no longer increases chances to become obsession so even if you're the only one using DS in a game it isn't certain if you will be picked as the obsession.
-
Camping is a bad strategy. That is why people call campers bad killers.

Again ... I'm repeating myself ... THIS IS THE POINT OF THE WHOLE GAME!
What is?
The hatch is a necessary evil. I never enjoyed looking for the 4th survivor before egc when only 1/0 generators we're done. Idc if I get the 4th kill or not, I know I already won.
-
On the survivor side, Deja Vu sounds really strong. Lightweight reducing footstep sounds could be tuned down (maybe 50% at max).
With Slippery Meat, I wouldn't want this perk to fall into the same category as Calm Spirit where it completely counters a killer. Trappers already have a hard time. The self unhook aspect could also become annoying for the killer. The chance becomes pretty good if taken with Ante Up.
I think Slippery Meat should just do something else than affect self unhook chance or bear traps.
-
Currently there is no way to revert prestige.
Prestige also barely and I mean barely, affects item rarities in the bloodweb.
-
Survivor is surviving. Killer is killing. It's in the name.
One could also argue that emblems are the objective I suppose.

trouble with the hook everyone once method or any method that doesn't involve a single person only is the fact that people dc too often . If survivors see a secret offering they assume its a mori , all it would take to negate the offer is for one to dc with that method .
the bp bonus would be a nice addition to the nerf of two hooks , this way instead of 4 hooks and 4k you would need 8 hooks to 4k mori but you get a bonus for the extra effort , maybe like a bbq buff 25% bonus for each mori , be it to all or just one category .
Also mori bypasses DS , hook travel time , destroyed hooks and flashlight saves , so its not for nothing , course if they have been hooked twice ds would have been used already . If they did a full bbq buff to BP I think I would actualy start using the 200 or so ebonies I have on my killers . I only tend to use them now on rituals that I need to kill by your own hands , that way I can take one out at choice .
If a survivor dcs you still get an advantage as the killer. Even if you can't mori the rest of the survivors you "mori" one earlier (by having them dc).

It doesn’t matter how many hooks you have, if you’re the last survivor, you’re dead. If you choose to struggle and let go, you’re not only dead but pathetic. You could put on your grown up pants, take the mori like the - usually - harmless fun it is, and move on. You can also actually play the game instead of hiding and leave with more bp than you otherwise would get.
Also that is literally not true? It sounds to me like you just want an excuse to act toxic towards the other side. Or you’re trolling.
I'm not talking about being the last survivor. I'm talking about general counterplay during the match. Of course you're being spiteful if you're the last survivor and deny the mori.
-
@pemberley said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/762026#Comment_762026
There is literally no difference between getting moried and pulled out of a locker and onto a hook, especially as the last survivor - you lost and you’re dead. So you are basically saying what’s already been said in this thread: it’s a jerk screw you move on the survivor’s part towards the killer.
I’m somebody who actually plays the game and when there’s a mori or Tombstone on the table, I still actually play the game instead of giving up in a locker like a spineless coward.
There is a difference. If the killer takes you out of a locker they can't mori you so if you're not dead on hook you're not dead yet. Taking that into consideration why would I not go into a locker and prevent being taken out of the game immediately? Counterplay is whatever the players make it.
-
Having fun.

Huntress is still missing some add-ons so once they take a look at those they will most likely rework iridescent head as well.
