So wait. You want DS to also inflict broken or exhausted?
DS is already nerfed so bad people don't run it usually.
Killers will often see an obsession in the game if they have no perks for it and not pick people up because of the possibility of being stunned for a few seconds (oh no).
DS was fine honestly, its basically a free wiggle ONE time in the game.
If all the perks didn't suck everyone wouldn't pile on and use the one perk that was useful.
Instead they just keep nerfing all the perks instead of making them all useful.
A lot of people use ds, at least in high ranks. It is one of the most common perks alongside dead hard and bt.
Also, ds was not fine before.

It does not benefit you as the survivor UNLESS you have Head On - but assuming you do not, which most people don’t, you’re dead meat. Because you literally did not escape or juke the killer. You wind up in the dying state on their shoulder. Explain to me how this benefits the survivor? I’ll wait. Because in reality, this is not counterplay and it does not help you because you wind up dead either way - it’s just a toxic survivor’s way to smugly deprive Michael of his Tombstone.
It benefits you because the killer can't mori you?
And who are you to tell what is counterplay or not?
You also skipped half of my comment.

The reason to test with the full player base would be for server scaling and nothing to do with bugs. If it were about bug fixing then they would have enough information on what is bugged to go back and try to fix them. All they changed this round was what server you would go to. Nothing with game play.
Well how can they test server scaling if the players aren't playing? My point still stands.

But that is not counterplay. Valid counterplay is jumping into a locker against Nurse or Chainsaw Gang to avoid a hit/try to stun them. “Hiding” in a locker against Tombstone does nothing to benefit you - you still get found and caught, you did not escape or juke - but it does everything to spite the Michael because it’s literally misusing a game mechanic to deprive the killer of what they rightfully earned.
The counterplay to Tombstone is DON’T FEED THE MICHAEL. Getting to tier 3 takes so long, gens get down to 1 or 2 before even a Michael that feasted on survivors reaches that point. If you deny him los, gens get done before he can do anything unless you screw up.
But no, locker lurking is not the answer - it’s a “screw you.”
How do you know that it's not counterplay? Hiding in a locker does benefit you. You don't get killed on the spot. You can say a lot of things are misusing a game mechanic, is it misusing a game mechanic to lunge around the outside of the harvester to hit the survivor standing on the haybale? If you think about it the same way then yes, you're literally just using the momentum of the lunge to "jump" around to get onto the haybale. It's just as much a "screw you" to the survivor at that moment.
-
I know it sucks when doing the achievement but having it as counterplay otherwise is needed. Just having a killer kill you out of nowhere should always have some sort of counterplay.
-
Hag, Freddy, Billy and Huntress.
-
It'll help bhvr improve them if you keep playing. There is a reason they're testing them on live.
-
A basic attack is just that, a basic attack. Every killer can do it from their default stance without the use of an ability. It also isn't a shadow buff or nerf for either killer. Both can use it for their advantage (stbfl keeping tokens for example) and both can suffer from it (sloppy butcher not applying for example).
It's better in the long run for the sake of consistency. There also might come more perks down the line that these killers can benefit from so it isn't all bad.
-
MoM just needs to be reworked entirely. It's not a feasible task to balance a health state. They need to scrap the reward and come up with something else.

I can understand what you mean, but you have also the ability to craft a instaheal or something else if you know what I mean! And actually there are alot of brown or yellow addons that are really underrated and unknown, for an example, Legions yellow edged ruler addon, Demogorgon almost all brown addons, Spirit all browns are good too etc.
I seldom use add-ons/items when playing survivor and I wouldn't want to start relying on them. As a killer I also wouldn't want to start using rare/very-rare add-ons because survivors now have more insta-heals.
They just need to freshen up the bloodweb a bit. Revamp most of the bloodpoint offerings and keep reworking old items and add-ons just like medkits just now.
-
Latency is not something the devs can fix. Just learn to drop pallets early instead of going for the stun each time.
-
I wouldn't want this purely for the reason that then people will use good add-ons more often and rarely use low tier add-ons. I wouldn't want to face prayer beads every time I go against Spirit, or insta-saw billies.
-
Holding the game hostage means that there is no chance for the game to end. You had the option to step into the trap so it isn't holding the game hostage.
-
Did you forget toolboxes still exist?
Also, good =/= overpowered.
-
The bear trap just needs less rng. I would gladly make it so it can never be taken off on the 1st box and in turn, the key would also never be in the last box.

That's because Myers was immune to the detection period the park didn't go off.
Whilst in undetectable you seem to be just invisible like original Freddy when a survivor was awake just like that Freddy could see you alright but you couldn't see his
That's kinda bad though if you think about it. OoO players will still know which direction you're coming from because the perk will light up.
-
She is still the best.
-
If you can't see the aura as survivor it won't reveal the survivors aura (at least it worked like this with myers tier 1).
If the perk is lit up for the survivor then their aura is revealed.

I don’t know if I would consider the trade off of insta heals for a base 5 second heal on med kits a “fix”.
Still 10x better than what insta-heals currently are.
-
Survivors need more counters against her and survivors need to get more feedback on already existing counters.
It isn't a counter to pick Iron Will/Spine Chill because you might just vs Spirit.
-
Both are a problem yes. One is getting fixed next patch though so hopefully the other one is right after.
-
Boy am I glad that business is done with.
-
I'm not surprised. Every other game that has battlepasses use the same tactics. Make it too hard to complete for casual players so they buy the rest of the tiers.
The biggest problem I have with this is that those other games are free. DbD is a $20 game with over a $100 of dlc. Sure you get to play the new maps even if you don't pay but currently (if we look at the roadmap) those come out at a pace of 2 a year (and 2 map reworks). You can also get the perks for free but you have to wait for them to appear in the shrine which can take anywhere from a few weeks up to a year.
The battlepass just feels like we, the players, are being betrayed.

Yeah it shows that he was supposed to be Freddy. Shows level 46 The nightmare
Whoops. Didn't notice that and am not familiar with splinters so couldn't recognize the icon.
OmegaXII definitely a bug then, yes.
-
Clown for killer. Hard for me to decide on a survivor (I'm not as invested in survivor lore as killer), but maybe Adam.
-
Wait... Did you use a splinter as Spirit (for another killer) and you still ended up playing Spirit?
-
The basement is supposed to be a dangerous place. A lot of killers excel at the stairs for a reason.
The best you can do is make sure you don't go down near it.
-
A perk that completely removes a game mechanic wouldn't be fun. People already hardly use lockers (unless they're using specific perks) no reason to make a perk that makes people use them even less.

There is no "no" option because there shouldn't be. This is mainly for people who feel/view otherwise. To express without the fear of getting harassed by killers who feel so strong to keep it when they in fact don't need it.
Kinda just defeats the purpose of a poll if you're not gonna add the other answer there.
-
Where's the "No" option?
-
Smart survivors won't heal anyway. Sloppy is only better if you're facing survivors that like to heal.
-
Now that you reworked medkits and medkit add-ons, is there going to be updates on other "legacy" things in dbd to bring them up to date?
-

Yeah maybe there was some complaints in past but Mostly everyone was fine with spirit until now
Didn't have time to complain about Spirit until after Legion was nerfed. Sure she was always kinda there, being a little prick but now that Legion is no more, she is the spotlight of all the bs.
-
The power activation charge speed add-ons are really powerful at loops. If you have phasing speed added on you can right click and in under 2 seconds be on the same side of a loop as a survivor without them having time to even react.
-
@arslaN said:
No. He can still be looped. I only think that the insta-chainsaw addons should be toned down, but they are still not as problematic as the other broken addons.
You don't need to worry about that. They will probably change that since Billy doesn't even have any very rare or ultra-rare add-ons. They'll add those and rework his current add-ons.

Oh how lucky you're that I caught this question before I got off the PTB. Since I was able to see this before I wrapped up my time on the PTB, I actually got someone to help me figure out that exact question you have!
Here's the answer in video form!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag7X0-MplrA&feature=youtu.be
Basically, no. Spine Chill doesn't play by the rules of the undetectable status effect... so Survivors can still see Killers like Wraith when he's cloaked, Pig when she crouches, invisible Freddy, and yes... Tier l Myers.
BUT! I did test if aura reading perks like OoO, Alert, etc work on these Killers... the answer is... NO! THEY DON'T HA HA! So that means Myers, GhostFace, and Pig don't have to worry about OoO users destroying their stealth...
Thanks for the excellent answer (added bonus for video evidence!).
Kind of a shame... But that's what Spine Chill was made for. If it didn't work against these killers it would be a lot worse.

I don't know how nurse being nerfed is BHVR favoring killers.
I do still hope that they still take a good look at moris.
-
I main Hag. I find it amusing to have survivors run into unexpected traps and get hit with a nasty slap. It's a shame they changed the successful hit animation a while back (if you didn't know, she used to drink the blood of her victims from her fingertips before, it did cover up half of the screen though which is probably why it was changed).
-
Based on the cosmetics we've gotten for licensed characters (Pig and Tapp being the main two), BHVR are working hard behind the scenes to get both Freddy and Leatherface on to the Switch.
-
@__Panda__ said:
After playing a few matches today I finally got to the prestige level but now I'm a bit stuck. I'm not sure whether or not I should prestige, many people have said to not do it as the cosmetics you get from it though cool simply aren't worth it and you don't get any luckier when it comes to the rarity of items and other things you'll find in your bloodweb while others have told me the exact opposite. What do you guys think? And if you have prestiged, was it worth it?
If you're a completionist, prestige. If you want the bloody cosmetics, prestige.
The two main reasons why people prestige are these. I am from the former category. Despite rumours, prestige does not affect the bloodweb enough to be noticeable, you would never make up the bloodpoints you use for prestige to make it worth it only based on that.
-
The only maps where she became significantly weaker on are Lery's and Hawkings where she was already bad. Otherwise, the nerf doesn't matter too much. If you're a good nurse it will only make chases last 3 seconds longer. Nurse will never be overthrown as king(or queen).
-
@Adeloo said:
Well you actually get your AC back from completing the Rift.
So basically you get "free" cosmetics while people will have to pay more for it later.
For example the Very Rare Billy outfit cost 1080 AC (only via AC) so just on one outfit you saved 80 AC. But there is a total of like 7-8 new outfits so basically you are already saving at least 300 AC on the cosmetics but there is also the charms that are not in the store.
It still isn't free. You still invest $10 and only get the auric cells back if you're dedicated enough to play and unlock all tiers. Unless you're dedicated and get to the end, you'll wind up paying for the next one.

Yup, Im 100% satisfied. I understand being fair towards players who don't buy it, I seriously do. But many people (including me) like exclusives, and us being left out like this sucks, but it seems like they went with a nice compromise :P
I never understood that. You like the skin because everyone can't have it? It just annoys me, it just feels like the game is forcing me to play and earn it now instead of doing things in my own pace. With the battlepasses in so many games it's impossible to keep up with every one of them and if you want to reach the end you basically have to dedicate yourself to playing only that one game.
-
@Peanits said:
Yes, we did. They were far too powerful and didn't take any planning or skill to use. Any time you got hit, you could use it to get a free health state. You could even use a syringe after the killer downs a survivor to completely negate the entire chase and reset them back to healthy. It was definitely too much.
Does this also mean moris will come soon after? They kinda fall into the same category as Insta-heals.
-
Worst add-on. Why would I willingly turn off my power and become a loopable killer? That's the one strength Nurse has, not being loopable.
-
Bookmark is going to be useless unless her default ms was changed. You will never be able to catch survivors after they know you have that add-on.
-
Only reason I dislike the nerf is because now there will just be more Spirits which no one likes. Welp, hopefully that'll open the devs eyes to Spirit and change her.
-
Since you're here, @Peanits , can you gain blink charges while charging a blink or does the timer pause? If it doesn't, can you receive a blink charge after your first blink(or during) and do a second one with the gained charge?

Hey, how about move ds like how it was actually made to be? Not get hooked in the first place?
With the stupid ######### you guys make nerfs, aka survivors get nerfs the most, you all deserve it
Being a killer is so easy, i already reached rank 1 with billy boy with no add ons, i feel he is best for one thing, map control which is very important, best for large maps or certain ones
The other is that one tap, it saves time, nurse i feel is best for small maps, i have played her but it doesn't feel the same, don't get me wrong she is the best
But now back with ds, it should've been back the way it was ment for, same for br, if i unhock someone i AM taking a big risk, it's back in the day the best anti camping perk, sadly this game suffers frok camping alot
But you may all disagree, we cant have nice things
Original ds was never a "nice thing". I don't even want to bother going in depth on how wrong ds was on so many levels.
It is also far easier to get rank 1 as survivor without even using perks than on killer.

Well that doeant exactly answer what i was asking. Obviously its a game. Im wondering moreso why flip flop. They make a perk to tunnel. They say its a game, it's allowed. But then they change it because its ruining the game, but it's allowed still.
Im asking, what is it.
I already emphasized most people think its "not fun", thats not the point. The point is they say its allowed, but then remove it implying its a bad thing.
That is the answer. They do not want to promote unfun gameplay. Why would they? Do you enjoy being tunneled to death just because the game picked you to be the obsession out of 4 people?
