The entity shouldn't be a playable character as it controls the trials. You can't win against the entity. Lore wise it would make absolutely no sense for the entity to be a killer itself since they are basically the god of the realm where the trials take place.
-
Yup. I made the mistake of unlocking every single teachable perk on both sides instead of just unlocking good actually usable perks and now it's hell to get any good perks in the bloodweb.
-
@Eninya Yeah because spirit can use her ability to stop looping. No loop is safe for a survivor when you have the ability to go invisible. Spirit is probably the 2nd best killer, maybe even better than nurse if you take into account consistency. Spirit can do well on any map unlike Nurse who suffers on certain maps like lery's.
-
Probably if the survivors have many items? I can understand it being "intimidating" if there are something like 4 toolboxes.
Probably Legacy clothing as well.
-
If 0 gens are done then you can just facecamp the 2nd last survivor and the last survivor probably won't have enough time to complete 2 gens so the last survivor might as well give up at that point. Hatch is a "necessary evil". It just makes the player's life easier. I don't see a reason to search for the last survivor for several minutes when they are too afraid to touch a gen.

They answered some questions on the endgame collapse thread (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/58159/) and they said this:
WILL ANY END GAME PERKS RECEIVE CHANGES?
Most end game perks will remain unchanged, but there will be tweaks to the following perks:
- Remember Me
- Left Behind
-
Billy still gets looped at most tiles. Sure you can mindgame some tiles but most you just can't. Just like huntress can throw hatchets over some tiles, billy can mindgame some tiles. The reason billy is better and more reliable is because he is 115 and has a chance at those tiles you can't mindgame.
-
Survivor perk donts: Any second chance perk.
-
Well, if they are spamming the totem it means that there is one less person on gens so...
Besides, couldn't the players just use lockers to spam as well?
-
Billy is literally one of the most balanced killers in the game rn. No reason to nerf/buff him.
-
Totems are a secondary objective because NOED exists so BHVR just needs to add more powerful killer perks that activate once the exit gates are powered just like NOED does. Maybe something like, "you can kill any survivor" etc.
-
I think it'll really help the game overall, not just the killer/survivor. Both parties have a fair chance of winning at least on paper. Of course it might come down to rng where the hatch spawns and how close the gates are to each other. Still better than current end game imo.
-
@Orion It could help you get out of low ranks true but it probably wouldn't help too much in high ranks unless you are constantly facing against good killer players then it might work there as well.
-
@ShyN3ko If the entity literally bust out of the back of the locker and slammed the doors open, impaled the survivor and held them in front of the locker while sacrificing them would've looked sick.
-
@Gamzello Perhaps they will make it so you can see the hatch's aura from x meters? They will probably keep the concept that "you were left behind" so it only triggers after you are the last one alive. I hope they make it something unique unlike what it is now.
I just hope it actually becomes viable. Probably won't since having a perk that banks on your other teammates dying means you are basically hoping for defeat.
-
If the hatch wouldn't spawn like it doesn't now it just makes the survivor hide for ages which is imo 100% worse option than closing the hatch/having the survivor find the hatch.
-
@Gamzello When? Hope it actually becomes good since it will become actually useless after end game collapse. Even if your team does 0 gens hatch will spawn so why would you ever do gens as the last person alive?
-
@Coder Nevermind what I said about the hatch spawning... The dude literally said that the hatch will spawn no matter how many generators were done. Not_Queen also said in the QnA thread that they activated the collapse earlier using a debug command.
-
Since all survivors will die after 3 minutes after a gate is opened it seems like some killer abilities/perks can become powerful in the end game. How will interactions like Blood Warden and Pig's RBTs work?
-
@Coder I think what is happening in the video shouldn't be 100% correlated to gameplay. I think the same hatch mechanics still apply but the only difference is that the killer can now close it starting the timer and powering the exit gates.
On a sidenote, it looked like exhaustion wasn't going down (at 1:30 you can see the exhaustion is basically at 0% on meg) so it might mean that after the "collapse" begins, you can no longer use exhaustion perks or maybe you can use them once but won't recover from exhaustion?
-
Both of these points are from Peanits from another thread (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57975/these-changes-needs-to-go)
- Although the speed is lower, Feral Frenzy is longer. Overall, you'll be able to much much further than you could before which will make it easier to hit multiple survivors.
- If you miss an attack, your power will not be depleted, it will only cancel. For example, if you have 75% of your charge left, you will start recharging from that point. It does not go back down to zero just because you missed.
Even if you miss an attack in frenzy you aren't punished too much since the power will recharge quite quickly. With the slower speed in Feral Frenzy you will still catch up to survivors and even if they make it to a window/pallet it won't matter most of the time. You can now bait the pallet easier since the power lasts longer and vaulting either one will still probably pause the feral frenzy meter.
-
Why rework Legion into that when they could just at some point make this it's own killer?
-
@Chaotic_Riddle Life of a Legion main is that you start a match, people realize that they are gonna have a bad time, they disconnect.
-
If you miss in frenzy you still don't lose your whole frenzy meter. If you are on say, 80% then after you miss it charges up from 80% @WoodHands
-
It seems pretty good for the time I've used it but I've been avoiding it until they fix it against nurse.
-
@DocOctober My guess is that they look at both feedback and statistics from the PTB it self and decide on a middle ground.
-
If Pig sees and RBT is about to pop then obviously she will want to secure the kill and keep checking jigsaw boxes so to stop tunneling devs probably hid the timer. With Plague it kind raises the skill ceiling, you need to keep track of how much you've puked on the survivor. With Legion it might be so that Legion can't know if someone with Mend has exited his terror radius? I don't know if there is another reason.
-
Bamboozle will probably be good, don't think survivors will start healing after the changes so thana will still probably be alright, M&A because of the mending changes.
-
@PiiFree I haven't noticed myself but then again I don't play killer as much as I used to. They might have done something with the chase mechanics when people were cheesing the mend timer on legion/from bt? Dunno...
-
This.
-
From what I understand is that for a chase to begin, the survivor needs to run in the killers line of sight (that means hold SHIFT+w,a,s or d) in close enough proximity. If there is something like corn in the way then the chase might not begins since "you can't see the survivor".
I can't tell you what your problem was in the scenario you specifically mentioned so I can't help you further.
-
@DocOctober You think outside the box but it seems you jump into a lot of conclusions. We don't know how much they increased the time on the frenzy so to start criticizing the changes so much this early is not that smart. Maybe don't think outside the box rn and just wait for the PTB. I would really like to hear what you think after you've had a hands on experience with him so if you're gonna post about him please tag me.
-
@TreemanXD Probably not. Is Nurses blink comparable to Bubba's chainsaw? Probably not. It's tough to compare powers especially if they don't have the exact same use. I'm going to assume Legion will be on the same power level as Plague, at least in high ranks.
-
@DocOctober I play both sides fairly equally.
@Jarsix I don't see how you can judge these changes so harshly when you haven't even tested them out yet. The deep wound changes needed to happen. I wish there was a way to stop people cheesing the chase mechanic but that was never going to happen. I'm not sure if it was necessary to stop Legion from knowing how much the deep wound has gone down. Why wouldn't you get punished for missing with the power? Now you can try to outplay the legion, maybe 360 possibly.
If versus good survivors, Legion will probably be better than the Plague since good survivors don't use fountains.
-
@TreemanXD Huntress loses a hatchet, pig needs to crouch again, Plague needs to charge up her vomit again.
-
@Tzeentchling9 If the survivors use fountains then yeah, Plague will be better but against better survivors Legion will be better I think.
-
@TreemanXD Nurse still gets fatigue depending on how much she blinked, Hillbilly gets slowed down for a moment and wraith just gets a missed basic attack cooldown.
Huntress gets a cooldown after she throws a hatchet, Pig gets a longer missed attack cooldown after she misses, Plague needs to recover after she vomit, why didn't you mention these killers? They get punished in a similar way to legion and these are mid to low tier killers like Legion will probably be.
-
Just gonna copy this from the other thread so other people can read
@Tzeentchling9 Yeah, look how mad people are that the plague isn't strong. Plague doesn't even get a free hit since you actually need to aim the vomit and can't just vault a pallet and hit a survivor. Only thing better about Plague is the corrupt vomit but good players won't use fountains so Legion will probably be better since at least he can get that first hit faster than Plague
-

@Hoodedfengm1n "If they miss the hit it ends" Yeah, like it should. If you miss an attack on any other killer you get punished so why shouldn't Legion? It is still a free hit for any decent player since decent players don't miss attacks.
-
@Carpemortum Only sensible person on this thread. The Legion still gets a free hit at the start of a chase with his power. The Legion is still mid tier imo but I guess we'll have to wait and see for the PTB.
-
@Peanits Amazing news. No more cheese play from campers either! I am super excited to try these changes out on the ptb!
If you know and don't mind telling us, when will you copy our player profiles that will be used for the PTB? My legion is currently very low level and barely has any perks and I'd like to lvl him up so I can test him on the PTB to the absolute fullest.
-
@Shad03 Legion is still mid tier. If you forgot, let me remind you... You still get a FREE hit on the survivor at the start of a chase. I feel that these changes were a good addition but then again I am not an avid Legion player. We'll just have to wait and see what it actually feels like on the PTB
About the achievement, I'm not sure. They might just change it is my bet. @not_Queen ?
-
Well it can be fun if the killers make it fun. The killers can also just ruin the experience for the survivors or even the killer (I saw a clip on twitch where another killer was blocking the host killer in the basement allowing the survivors to complete gens).
-
Don't think it's bannable if you aren't doing the glitch yourself, at least shouldn't be. If you want to be safe you can spot a bugged 2 killer lobby and leave the lobby. If there is a timer with 00:00 even when there aren't 4 survivors joined yet you it means it's a multiple killer lobby.
-
But don't you lose corrupt purge when you get stunned now? That wasn't in the ptb.
-
@Peanits Who do we report in that situation? Can you even see the other killer so you could report them?
-
Literally the brightest legacies I've seen are Jake and Nurse. You can see both from across the map, especially the torso pieces.
