Wraith and Jeff
-
It's a fun meme build. I know that fraction of a second doesn't seem like much, but it can be the difference between getting hit through a window or not. Coordinated swfs like that can win without perks.
-
Old fast vaults were busted as hell. They essentially created infinites and made looping braindead easy. It isn't even hard to get fast vaults right now... just make sure you're moving forward toward the window for at least a second and you'll be fine.
-
Clown should sit on the hatch to close it
-
I'll have to test this out next time the stars align and I just so happen to be on Hawkins as nurse, and the basement is in the right place.
-
Yes, I do enjoy it. I despise certain maps, though. Ormond, Thompson's House and Crotus Prenn are a guaranteed loss against good survivors.

Hi Uni! Just as a heads up here's a list of all the killer speeds.
Trapper- 4.6m/s or 115%
Wraith- 4.6m/s or 115%
Hillbilly- 4.6m/s or 115%
Nurse- 3.8m/s or 110%
Hag- 3.8m/s or 110%
Doc- 4 6m/s or 115%
Shape- 3.8m/s or 110% in tier 1, 4.6m/s or 115% in tier 2&3
Huntress- 3.8m/s or 110%
Cannibal- 4.6m/s or 115%
Nightmare- 4.6m/s or 115%
Pig- 4.6m/s or 115%
Clown- 4.6m/s or 115%
Spirit- 4.4m/s
Legion- 4.6m/s or 115%
Plague- 4.6m/s or 115%
Ghostface- 4.6m/s or 115%
Demogorgon- 4.6m/s or 115%
Oni- 4.6m/s or 115%
Alright, I'll continue to not bother you now. XD
Hag and huntress move at 4.4 m/s. Tier 1 Myers walks at 4.2 m/s. Nurse walks at just under 4.0 m/s, or 95 percent.
-
You might as well ask, "why do Killers kill?"
-
Demoman, GF and Plague were really great additions to the killer cast. Can't wait to see what killers they come up with next. Oni has a great aesthetic, but his power is underwhelming.
-
I just want to be able to trip my fellow survivors. What better way to escape the killer than to give him a free hook? EZ game
-
I love seeing people complain about Hawkins, because killers have had terrible maps for years straight. The devs make minor tweaks to these Godforsaken maps every now and then, but it's never been enough. Maps should be reworked with each tome release, so that every killer's map variant can be addressed at some point.
-
He shouldn't start with all his traps, but there should be a minimum spawn distance between traps. The fact that he is forced to trek across the entire map to grab one trap really hurts him.
Some other QoL changes he needs include: a slightly larger trap hitbox, the ability to reset traps without picking them up, more traps carried at base, skill checks for disarming/escaping traps, and the ability to directly retrieve traps from lockers (this could work in that using lockers retrieves all unset traps on the map, and fills the trapper's bag if possible).
-
You pretty much have to run spirit fury enduring on him now. Oni's a basic m1 killer (a tall one at that) for most of the game. He needs an edge in the early game, like Myers; otherwise he'll remain lower-mid tier.
-
Trapper's addons that reduce the chance of escaping a trap are essentially worthless. They change the values but you could still get out your first try quite a bit.
-
He is shorter, like others have mentioned. Happens with legion and pig. Also Freddward can slow you down, which might also make him seem faster.
-
Jeez, this is one OLD post

That's a perk called Mad Grit

"You're getting really heated about this." - save the trashtalk please.
"What is it about getting better at a game that seems so impossible to you?" - Having Life outside of game. If you don't understand what that means, I really can't help here.
"Nobody has to pour ungodly amounts of hours into something just to improve. You're creating a strawman" - thanks for the illustration of what strawman is. Nowhere I claimed that someone has to pour "ungodly amounts of hours". I do not have any hours I'm willing to pour in a game I don't enjoy. None. It's that simple. And the reason I don't enjoy it is due to broken matchmaking. I did enjoy it when it was working. In fact, bought all characters and even the pass.
Then don't bother playing. Seriously, what were you expecting to happen by coming here? That the devs would personally come down to console you and say everything will be okay? I'm sorry you're not enjoying yourself, but that is wholly your problem. Any game can be enjoyed with the right mindset and attitude. Try taking a break and coming back in a few months.

Survivors are not allowed to loop optimally;
Lauries and Claudettes are not allowed to play the game and have fun;
Survivors must not complete more than 1 gen every 80 seconds;
Using Gestures is automatically toxic and will be punished via facecamp;
Survivors are not allowed to cleanse totems in the first minute of the match;
Hatch keys are busted and not fair but Moris are fine;
Survivors cannot enter corn when on Coldwind maps;
Bringing any item is automatically toxic.
<big sarcasm>

LOL, seriously? You didn't say "Git Gud", but instead said "Get Better"? Are you trolling?
"you had all the opportunities in the world to do better and failed" - lol, are we not speaking the same language? In order not to fail at opportunities a person needs to Git Gud. Still not obvious that your comment is another Git Gud, but written in more words?

You're getting really heated about this. What is it about getting better at a game that seems so impossible to you? Nobody has to pour ungodly amounts of hours into something just to improve. You're creating a strawman while ignoring the fact that the loss was your own fault. Seriously, take the loss and move on. We all have hard games.

Ahhh, another Git Gud poster. I was wondering how long it would take. Are you saying that it's okay to break matchmaking so the game is not fun for anyone other than Red Ranks? Because other ranks can Git Gud? Because everyone can dedicate their life to a game? You do know that people have Life? Right? I play for fun. Any game that is not fun is uninstalled? Do you know what my Steam backlog is? Hundreds!
That sounds like a personal problem.

I guess you didn't read what I said: this have been happening nonstop, with barely any exception for the last several hours. Move on where? Another match where it's going to be same? Or to another game?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/951181#Comment_951181
Sounds like you can't handle losing to me. If you're struggling with nurse, try other killers. How can you expect to get good at the game if you're only comfortable vs-ing green ranks? I used to get stomped by players like that as well, but every loss I have, I learn more than I would if I stomped a team of noobs.
-
Why complain? Take the loss and move on.
-
I feel you there. The combo makes me way more confident when I go for vaults. But I get TRIGGERED when I get hit through windows. I've been running them with iron will and Sprint burst. Works pretty well for me.
-
Ghostface. He seems really meticulous and possible obsessive compulsive. Which would balance out my excessive laziness. He'd probably go crazy and kill me day 1, though.
-
That's why I like make your choice. It's a good timer.
-
Hopefully someday soon. There was some rumors about Tony Hawk joining the game. Maybe the face rework will come around the same time he does (though I hope they let us keep ugly Quentin as an extra face cosmetic)
-
Being bullied as killer sucks. People think they're funny when they camp god loops. Then they tbag and clicky clicky at me if they're about to escape. But through all that i keep my chin up and kick them out, like an old man chasing stupid kids off his lawn. DCing just because your game has gone poorly is childish, but what can you really do? If you start punishing them, you're punishing everyone with internet troubles or those who literally cannot finish the game otherwise (bodyblocking, stuck in place, etc.)
-
Damn, lotta love for huntress and wraith, and I gotta agree they're my favorites too (though I'm still trash with huntress). Clown is my favorite killer in terms of lore, aesthetic and perks, but he is a chore to play.
-
It isn't that bad for me. There are occasional frame stutters when reaching blood lust, but even this has become more and more rare. People go on and on about how terrible the killer experience is right now, but I remember it being much worse. Maybe that's why it doesn't seem so bad to me, because I've seen the game in a much worse state.
Been playing for nearly two years on Xbox, 1.1k hours.
-
What are forums if not an outlet for players to complain? You might as well tell a fish to stop swimming.
-
Huntress being pallet stunned
-
Complaining about complaining. You hate to see it.
-
Dead Hard doesn't create infinites. The only nerf i could see being made is to give it an action delay once it's over, so you can't just dead hard to a pallet and get an instant safety net.
-
With time. It's not an easy process to iron out all the bugs. Best way to get everything fixed is do live tests and figure things out as they go along.
-
The aura reading alone makes it the best perk? When survivors can hide to completely avoid it? Not to mention distortion exists... I think y'all are just mad because the survivor bloodpoint equivalent is trash, which is a fair complaint.

lol I just don’t stress the game at all because well, it’s just a game, but seriously try going against a very skilled killer, they can easily wipe a whole team out in a few minutes, you’ll probably see that as you rank up.
What rank are you at where the whole team gets wiped in a few minutes? Legit impossible unless everyone on the survivor team is seriously stupid enough to group up. Every map has a ton of safe pallets and/or windows, so there's no reason why good players should be downed so quickly. The survivors you're dreaming up are either laughably boosted, or intentionally screwing around for tome challenges.
-
Feels bad for everybody who bought the pass too late. I got it at release, and I doubt I could have finished it if I bought it a month after release.
-
Most people will crap on you for this opinion, but you're really not wrong. I know, I know, "most swfs don't even try hard." What they don't say is that survivor is already piss easy as is, and adding in omnipresent voice communication is like giving an Eagle a jetpack.

They’ve said they’re working on maps, but it’s like one map every mid chapter patch so I think it will take two years to do them all. And that’s IF the changes they make are even better than current state.
Lol at the rate they're going it'll take way longer than 2 years. When was the last one? 6 months ago? That'll be 4 or 5 years at least if they don't start cranking them out. And like you said they might not even be better. They put SO much work into springwood and there's still some ridiculous loops.
-
Bhvr should really hire some of their more experienced players. They know the game better than anyone, and could likely steer the game in a good direction.
-
I think most prestiged cosmetics are pretty hideous. The only notable exception is the Myers mask. Everything else looks like they dumped a jar of strawberry jelly all over the killers and survivor.
-
I agree that Ruin should be changed to be more consistent. Killers can use it to ROFLstomp bad survivors, but good survivors will find it immediately or do gens as if ruin wasn't even in play. Maybe if it had a much stronger effect, but had a strict duration, then it would be properly balanced.
Maps should be addressed first, though. But I doubt they will get the attention they deserve.
-
No, once all the fountains are used, they reset so survivors can cleanse again. When this happens, the game gives plague a free corrupt purge.
-
She needs an add-on rework and her dash needs improvements.
-
You should get benevolent "support" points for doing gens when survivors are being chased or on the hook.

Why do you think she's easy?
Survivor pathing is consistent. There are many hotspots they will all gravitate towards, whether being chased or not. Pallets, windows, jungle gyms, and God loops and choke points can all be made dangerous with a well placed trap. Her map pressure is oppressive and virtually uncounterable without extreme survivor coordination, or niche perks and map addons/rainbow map. The only way to consistently beat her is to gen rush her, and she is the Queen of the 3 gen (she can struggle on certain maps like red forest, as her setup time and slow movement speed hinder her early game).
Funnily enough, though, I believe she is as bad as trapper when it comes to counterplay. If survivors *know* they are going against a hag then flashlights, urban evasion and small game COMPLETELY counter her power, making her a 110% movment speed killer that actually loses time when using their power. She is easy in the sense that unaware survivors are crushed by her presence, but coordination completely guts her power and makes her absolutely unfun to play.
-
Survivors are a team of 4. If they all had unique abilities, it would be hellish to balance.
Ace main gang rise up
-
Hag is painfully easy. She is highly oppressive and shuts down even the tryhardiest of survivors. If more people understood how to play her, she would be next on the killer hate train.
-
Yes, it would. Imagine a perma quick and quiet on Lery's. Disgusting to think of.
