Throw pallets early and hope your mates are doing gens. He's strong in 1v1 chases but he has zero mobility to pressure gens. Pallers can go quick but gens can go even quicker.
-
Hard to say. The devs are tight lipped about important statistics (and they love to give out the meaningless stats). Almost like they want the community to be confused. Wonder why.
Red rank killers are likely leaving in droves due to the recent nurse and spirit nerfs.
-
You should run whispers on huntress. She's slow so every second you waste walking around really hurts you. Whispers tells you exactly where you need to be.
-
Yeah, the rift was poorly handled. It encourages excessive grinding which always wears people out.
-
Then go play a nice, simple driving game.
Believe me, this game is a frustrating, arguably broken yet wonderful experience. I understand why you aren't happy, but what you're talking about is a known issue that WILL be fixed. Take a break and come back to it. We all do.
-
It should be about Wraith, but that wouldn't really surprise me. Learning more about Doc and Feng would be cool.
-
I hope they throw Oni a bone. He's a mediocre hillbilly at this point. Ton of fun to play at first, but he isn't fun to master.
He should have an edge in the early game, like Myers. They are both ridiculously tall and incredibly loud, so maybe Oni should get a slightly smaller terror radius? He's a normal m1 killer with no power until a survivor makes a mistake and gets hit. Letting him get closer for that first hit might just fill in the gaps of his kit

This game cannot and should not be balanced solely around red rank players. Newer players would never play the game and the game would just die off. The game should take all ranks into account. I do not see an issue with doing this.
Even if we focus on only rank one games, statistics released show that survivors have less than a 50% survival rate.
So you think survivor shoukd be made even easier? Why exactly? Because new players die frequently to ANY killer, regardless of the map.
If you make the game easier for them, you make it harder for every new killer who makes it to green ranks. And what will they do? They'll leave, or stop playing killer and only play survivor, which heightens queue times even further either way.
I get that we can not ignore new players, but balancing around them ruins the experience for everyone else. Bhvr should do what Hi-Rez did (though I doubt they made this up), where new players have to play between 5 and 10 matches with other new players and against some bot(s). This way new players can get practice, experience and most importantly blood points without being turned away by killers who have even a little bit of experience.
-
I think it's better to get unhooked and potentially get away than to be two hooked just because you don't like what your teammates trying to do.

All maps are currently killer sided.
The map with the greatest kill rate is currently Hawkins at 69.48% kill rate.
The map with the lowest kill rate is currently Rotten Fields at 53.99% kill rate.
If the devs wish to bring the game to the stated desired 50% kill/ 50% survival rate then shouldnt those maps be brought closer to a 50% kill rate...?
Source: https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/029/Q5MJCF6JDYJ3.png
Those statistics have no context whatsoever. The majority of maps are entirely survivor sided when considering how strong the loops are, how many there are, how big they are, and how fast generators can be finished. The only reason those numbers could possibly be over 50% is if they include ALL ranks, which skews the numbers.
-
Honestly Pwyf could do with a buff. Meanwhile Nemesis is easily countered making half the build useless. The only killer that makes really effective use of this combo is Bubba; arguably the weakest killer against good survivors, as his power is completely worthless on loops (without pwyf). Just because a perk combo makes a killer semi viable doesn't mean it should be nerfed. If anything that's just a clear sign that the killers themselves need changes to be viable.
-
4ks should count for the challenge, not a merciless rating. It's almost impossible to get that rating unless you're at ranks 20-8.

No Mither should not pause Exhaustion, boom, a powerful perk now.
That's a good idea, but I doubt the devs would do anything that drastic. Most they'll do is buff it to have a full iron will and not partial.
-
I'm guessing they're just trying to be thematic. Haddonfield and Coldwind definitely need to be addressed, but they might have thought it strange to rework them with Doc. Hopefully they step up their game and don't wait 7+ months to rework maps. Lery's should have been far down the totem pole for map reworks.
-
Literally nobody will disagree with you. It's a fringe perk that is only useful for sabo squads.
-
Haddonfield should have been reworked this last Halloween. They could have put the chapter on sale and fix Myers first person animations, and I guarantee they would have made a killing.
-
I want a series that details interactions between matches, like F.r.i.e.n.d.s but with killers and survivors. Bhvr has worked with Netflix in the past, I'm sure they could make this series happen :P
-
Just play around the massive jungle gym 4head kappa.
For real tho this map needed fixing way more than Lery's does.

Racism?
Are you ok buddy?
Also I have no clue which adepts I've done. I'd have to be on my PC to check. There are what 121 achieve in the game? I think I have 102. But telling you which 19 I don't have would be a stretch. I do know a lot of the 19 not done are survivor adepts because I only play Dwight.
I play 50/50 Survivor and Killer. Probably close to 40/60 because of the matchmaking ATM.
I actually know who you are buddy. Your steam profile is like 26 pages of comments just like these. The ones that you think are truly roasting people but just miss the mark every time. But you know what dude. I'm going to give you this one. Because it's clear you don't have much else.
Cya next game maybe next time you play survivor you can cry at Exotic for tunneling you again :P
Keep it greasy Nobel
You call him a greasy no-life when you're the grease ball digging through his steam account... You're a complete hypocrite my man. This thread is gonna be locked soon. Nice chatting with everyone.

Why would someone abuse it if they would suffer some penalties? 🤷
People get penalties (pips) for camping and they still do it. Guarantee people would hook, unhook, then eat the ds or get another free hook on them.
-
I think that would be fine, but the survivor would need to get like a Borrowed Time on mega steroids plus a free DS. Otherwise killers could easily abuse it.
-
It's a solid choice for solo survivors. Wastes too much time, though, especially if sloppy and thana are in play. I like running it with BK and Resilience for phat 20 second heals. Otherwise a pretty poor choice, especially if you have perks like iron will and dead hard.
-
@Nonfunctional said:
You're a rank 10 spirit main at best. Probably 13 after the nerf. But it's cool man, live your dream life in the forums. No one will know. It will just be our little secret.
Damn, dude. You're a total badass. ;)
-
She needs an add-on rework, as most of them are pretty awful. Her dash should be reworked into a lunge or something, kind of like Demo's slash. Remove (most of) the slowdown from crouch walking, and I think she would a good killer.
-
Devotion should give auric cells. I mean you're spending tons of time playing the game, you should get a decent reward for doing so, that gets bigger and bigger the higher devotion you reach.
-
I'm not sure what you mean. The harvester is really only strong if you've got balanced landing. Otherwise the killer can catch up pretty quickly, assuming there isn't a pallet within 5 feet of the drop down.
3 survivors sitting on the harvester are 3 survivors not doing gens. Maybe I'm just thick headed but I'm really not sure why you feel the harvester is so strong.

Hey if thats true thats great, but your attitude to me when you didn't know i was a kille main was pretty out of pocket and you also literally said you barely play survivor.
I mean do whats fun but remember this a game, i swear some people get real political with this whole killer vs survivor thing lol
You're really confusing me. I'm not sure why you thought I had an attitude. I was expressing that ranking up as survivor, especially at the rank you find yourself, is very manageable. None of use were getting "political" Or being general ######### toward you. I only mentioned being a killer main because I'm a rank 1 survivor, so i know how easy it is to rank up (not that those ranks even mean anything anymore). It seems to me this was just a huge misunderstanding. More people should play both roles, not take sides like it's high school.

You go ahead but im serious, play survivor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/954657#Comment_954657
Didn't read my post so refer to below
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/954654#Comment_954654
No you didnt. You just said you were replying to "The first point" i was making...it wasn't a point. Then you got mad i called you out and told me i was boosted, then went on to say that anyone can get high ranks (Which is true, in all reality im probably not going belong green, didn't realize people wouldn't read the post)
But mans not care about all that. Im just really curious as to why so many people on here just read the title and comment without looking at the post. Guy above seems to have done the same thing. Its not just you, its not just this post its the whole fourm lol
I do play survivor, a lot. I'm just not a survivor main because I don't like sitting in queues for 5+ minutes. Killers gets matches in less than 10 seconds so I play that role more.

That's what I said, I knew you were a killer main because you were basically saying "Well thats a good thing for me but hey just do gens and totems!"
Which, 1 is most def ######### talking (told me to do a gen and run borrowed time, ######### please), but 2 also means you didn't even read my post. I dont think you even read my reply because I was calling you out for your partisanship and you replied with "Im a killer main" lol
Btw you SHOULD play survivor. I was kind of an ######### to survivors (like most killers on here from what I can see) but after playing a lot of survivor I realized how dumb that was and also got even better at killer because I know exactly what people are gonna do now. I know youre making the excuse of the lobby times but be fr. I wait 10 minutes for killer lol
Actually now that I think about it since I started getting paired with just browns my lobby times for survivor are always under a minute, so silver lining
Alright, I'm gonna ignore this post now. Hope you find what you're looking for! Cheers.
-
He's gonna stuff the survivors and cook them at 450° for 6 hours
-
Surviving is a team effort, but pipping is up to you. Ranking up is easier at your ranks anyway. Do totems and work on gens. Perks like spine chill and iron will can help you remain undetected, and borrowed time can help you get safe unhooks no matter what (sort of).
-
Freddy has a lullaby when you're asleep, so like huntress it won't go away
Save the best for last will work for successful attacks made while carrying someone.
-
Red rank killers seem sparse, as survivor queues at that rank can be quite long.
-
I really love Sprint Burst. People tend to fall into the trap of walking everywhere, though. Using the sprint to find a safe gen is the most optimal way of running it. Often it will be ready to be used again by the time the killer finds you, or the gen is done. And if they killer does find you, then you use the safe loops around you. I run it with spine chill so I can always keep on top of what the killer is doing, and move accordingly depending on what killer it is.
Pros: crazy speed on a dime, guaranteed to work, perfect for repositioning
Edit: Almost forgot 99ing exhaustion, which lets you use Sprint burst essentially at will. Can't really be done when working on gens, though.
Cons: has to be wasted (which leaves you vulnerable for 40+ seconds), or preserved (which wastes time walking everywhere).
-
Freddy doesn't need any more nerfs, and it's fine to disagree. Healthy debate is integral to proper balance of a game. The problem arises when people get an opinion stuck in their mind, and refuse to change it even when new facts arise.
My biggest issue is that bhvr has dug themselves a hole when it comes to balance. Killers like Freddy, Billy, and spirit are extremely oppresive on small maps, which are completely balanced for weaker killers. Meanwhile the killers I mentioned are balanced on large maps, which are hellish for weak killers. There is too much disparity between the Strength of killers and of the maps themselves. Balancing everything properly will take a ridiculous amount of time, and bhvr is adamant about releasing even more killers and maps every few months. It's a recipe for disaster.
-
Don't worry. All you need to is wait 2 more years for the Legion rework. They will get plenty of cosmetics in the mean time, though~
-
Once her lunge is fixed, she will be as strong as ever. The only thing they really nerfed was some of her addons. Right now she's a chore to play, which is (hopefully) unintentional.
-
Pop and Surveillance are my go to, especially on stealth killers. They pair well with ruin for obvious reasons, but that's honestly overkill. I tend to run Sloppy Butcher and Save the Best for Last to slow down heals and make me more threatening in chases respectively.
-
I can get behind this. No maps should be able to spawn 4 damn jungle gyms, but no map should be devoid of tiles.
-
Max out characters you like. I always get impatient and spend all my points. Killer's always need addons too, and map offerings can be nice.
-
That's probably the exhaustion glitch. It used to be directly exploitable with Sprint burst, but now it's entirely random. I've had it happen to me without even trying. I was running lithe, and after i got unhooked I was walking at running speed, and running at mach 5. Sad that the bug persists to this day, but at least it is hard to replicate.
-
Nah bro they're Fruit of the Entity Boxer Briefs (TM pending).
Besides, his Feetsies are the main attraction 😳
-
I agree that Clown's map should be a full circus, but his map is fairly balanced so it should wait (though he could do with a rework like doctor, so we might see it changed anyway).
Plague and Huntress both need their maps shrunk by like 10-20 percent. The sheer size makes slower killers unbearable to play, and makes saving teammates way too time consuming.
-
I've just been running spirit fury enduring sadly. He's so tall and loud that good survivors can pallet loop him really hard. Hex ruin and pop to slow gen progression. Pretty much the basic ######### build. Slugging perks are really effective too.
-
I enjoyed the extra bloodpoints and some of the skins were alright. I don't really feel satisfied with it, though. All I did was play the game normally and occasionally force myself to do certain actions. I like that I got my auric cells back. That's likely the only incentive I'll ever have to buy another pass, though I'll likely skip futures rifts anyway.
-
I don't usually say GG unless i lose. I'm on Xbox so I have to go out of my way to message someone. Telling a killer/survivor "Gg" after i win feels like I'm rubbing their noses in it.
-
I swear, if they kill this map for stealth killers I will blow a gasket. Lery's is balanced as is, with plenty of strong window and pallet setups. Meanwhile the glaring issues of Coldwind have been ignored for years... gigabrain devs. I know I shouldn't jump to conclusions, but Lery's should have been FAR down the totem pole for reworked maps
-
Scarecrow Billy (with silent chainsaw addons) on Coldwind Farm
Insidious
Discordance
Tinkerer
Infectious Fright
Hide in the middle of the corn field. You can't move unless: a survivor enters your field of view (or you hear them running), you get notifications from tinkerer or discordance, or somebody fails a skill check.
You may chase a survivor and down them, but if you lose track of them, you have 30 seconds to find them again before you must find another spot to insidious. Once a survivor is downed, you must hook them, unless infectious fright reveals others to you. Once a survivor is hooked, you must insidious in corn again (doesn't have to be the same spot every time). You must return to the hook, as there is a noise notification.

That is not my question. Everyone knows what is meant by “gen-rush”. I’m not talking about a team that innocently completes all gens or 2-3 in a few minutes. We all do that without intention because it’s the objective.
I’m speaking of teams that join a game to literally complete the gens as soon as possible. Are you challenging yourselves to do that? Or is that just your playstyle?
Me and my team usually just go with the flow and make fun of the game. Some games we pop gens fast bc of no ruin and others we spend the game saving each other with 1 gen completed every 2 minutes lol.
i guess my question is directed towards teams that join most of their games with 4 toolboxes and are done with 3 matches before I complete 1.
If everyone is doing gens unchecked, then you aren't putting on enough pressure. That isn't necessarily your fault, as many killers inherently struggle on larger, safer maps. Blame bhvr for not recognizing the flaws in their map designs.
-
3 gens are easily avoided. If you and your team get 3gened, it's your own fault(s).
