I got tired of washing my hands after going to the toilet but also didn't want to sit down, so I practised aim and recoil control while peeing without the help of my hands.
To make is less obvious, I replaced the "ee" with "ii" but ultimately it means I 'm just someone that can "pee hand free". I find it impressive, that's how I ended up with my very unique nickname "PiiFree".
Took a while to get the required muscles strong enough to make things move without pumping them full of blood.

Takes longer to find a match in DbD than it takes for an Apex match to finish.
Up to you how you want to waste your time but I'm done with this ######### for now.

@PiiFree hey, I'm great at that!
Perfect! I'm not, that's why I always try to avoid losing and thus end up as a tryhard.
I'm not trying to win, I'm trying to avoid losing!

Most important tip for all Dead By Daylight players:
Learn to lose.
-
Could post that on a daily base:
Unskilled Killer > Unskilled Survivor
Average Killer = Average Survivor
Skilled Killer < Skilled Survivor
Even though it got easier as Killer, it's still a lot harder than Survivor. If you think Killers are OP, it can only mean you're an unskilled Survivor.

It's different from person to person, but the proper etiquette as I’ve learned it is:
Saying “good game” is to come from those who lost or not at all.
So if they don’t want to say it, then that’s that. The winner doesn’t initiate.
Otherwise it may come off as taunting.
I understand that, the question is, what does it take for the opposite site to get a gg from you? Do you have to win to drop a gg? Or is a fair game enough?
-
I thought the new system should help equalize the waiting times... lul
-
Tough pick but I'll go with Hillbilly.
Reasoning:
Huntress is very map dependent, that makes her not as balanced as Billy. On corn maps with lots of loops where she can't use her hatchets, she can be looped better than any other Killer in existence. On maps with lots of open loops, she can dominate and end chases quickly. Billy also depends on map but the impact of a bad map is not that big compared to Huntress.
Also, Huntress lacks map pressure on big maps.
-
Can't see hooks, can't see gens, can't see scratchmarks. It's just painful to play on this map, the only map where I seriously struggle to not just disconnect when I load in.
-
You still have the impression that Killers decide how quick a match is over. The length of a match is almost entirely depending on the playstyle of Survivors, the Killer is just there to utilize your mistakes.
The pip system punishes Killers for taking advantages of the mistakes of Survivors. Just think about it. As Killer, you play against Survivors that perform poorly, so you naturally win against them but the system tells you:
"Hey, the Survivors are apparently not very skilled and make lots of mistakes! Let's punish the Killer for that because otherwise the match would be over too soon!"
That's the emblem system in a nutshell. Same the other way around, of course. The pip system can only be loved by players that underperform or farm. If you play efficient, you'll get punished by it - as Survivor and as Killer.
-
Not really, no. Camping and tunneling are legitimate tactics, as already confirmed by the devs several times.
Robbing you the ability to play is wrong in that case because getting camped or tunneled are both ways of playing the game, even as Survivor.
When you get camped, you are the most important person for your teammates because you're winning them a lot of time to finish the gens. If you disconnect, you eliminate that opportunity and most likely end up giving the Killer a 4k, which is exactly why people camp. It works because many Survivors are egoistic and refuse to make a sacrifice for the sake of their teammates victory.
I think that's very important for every player to realize. Even if you get camped or tunneled, you're not being useless. You're the person that can make the difference between a 1k and a 4k. The difference between a depip and a double pip. YOU can prevent that Killer for ranking up, so you never have to see them again in high rank.
-
Then how is it a problem? You make no sense. Unless you're saying people that disconnect for such a reason deserve punishment.
-
Are you one of those incompetent noobs that heals through Thanatophobia and Sloppy Butcher? No wonder you disconnect you blatantly disconnect because of every BS. Get banned.

That's why you need a goddamn report system, so people can report griefers, farmers, abusers or whatever. Again, for you:
Step 1: A meaningful report system
Step 2: Backup replays of frequently reported players
Step 3: Check the replays of frequently reported players and if guilty, ban them.
THE END
E: "They will act as if they play normal" do you even listen to yourself? Do you think people "fake AFK" by playing normal? What's going on in your head dude...

If the game bores you, here is a pro tip: STOP PLAYING THE GAME INSTEAD OF RUINING IT FOR ALL OTHERS.
Thanks.

It's not griefing to follow a killer, make noises on purpose or act as a newbie. Not reportable, and not possible to check for devs.
Dude.... You're a hopeless case. How are you going to stop people from doing that? Tell me? You can't stop ######### from being ######### but you can implement a report system that allows devs to punish them, Do you understand that? Does this fit in your brain?

Survivors will go afk then. Or buttdance, make noises etc till they die. There is not way out of that.
Are you unable to understand what you read? You can report players for griefing and ruining the match for the others. AFK is reportable, there's even already an AFK detection in the game with the crows.
-
Yes it is going to solve the issue, absolutely. Almost every multiplayer game punishes for such behaviour, it's not tolerated. Simple as that.
Survivors suiciding on hook is another issue, not related to disconnects. You can solve that issue very easily; Remove struggling and let them hang for 80 seconds, finito. Case closed. Problem with Survivors instantly suiciding is gone.
E: Additionally, I look at Survivors suiciding on hook exactly like I look at feeders in Dota 2. They refuse to participate as intended and provide a disadvantage for their team, which is ruining their fun. You can totally report people for that. All they have to do is implement a new report category "Feeder" (because that's what they are) and the system will detect if a person gets frequently reported for that (just like DCs or flamers) so they can check the reports and matches and take actions against such players.
You people here act as if Dead By Daylight was the first multiplayer game that has to deal with feeders, leavers and griefers. It's not. Thousands of games out there with systems / mods that manage to detect misbehaviour AND PUNISH IT ACCORDINGLY to prevent people from doing it again... and again... and again.

I haven't compared anything, that guy did. I just showed him that punching children isn't the best solution (if it's a solution in the Frist place)
...but how is it wrong to punish people that 1) refuse to play by the rules and 2) purposely and knowingly ruin the match for everyone else?
The rules say too frequent disconnects result in punishment, so that's what should happen.
-
How can you guys compare a kids candy addiction to players disconnecting in a video game?
Players disconnect for various reasons but it's NOT an addiction.
It happens mostly out of frustration, annoyances or denial. Trying to avoid the fact that they lost, messed up or that they're about to lose. Some people disconnect to depip and in rare cases the disconnects are justified due to important stuff.
Besides the important stuff, ALL the other reasons are not legit and don't justify a DC, therefore they should be punished. You're trying to put disconnecting players into the victim role, which is very typical for todays society and I'm tired of it. If you can't play by the rules, you get punished, simple.
-
They were very confident that new content will push the playerbase back to "normal", which apparently was/is not the case.
If I were them I would be concerned.

My last 10 games as Killer were all 0k. Hope this helps your statistics.

You're absolutely right. It also depends on what body parts you find important. Many men prefer women with nice, big boobs but to me a nice booty is much more important.... and Janes booty is a bit too big for my taste, that's probably also because of the high waist pants.
No, she's not fat but I think her booty is a bit too thick compared to the rest of her body. The proportions seem a bit weird. She's not fat, her booty is fat 😆

maybe for you she's overweight, but real woman have curves! who wants to count every bone of their girls body? LUL
Does that mean real men have a beer belly aswell? Lucky me then.
-
That makes no sense at all. Bloodpoint penalties won't stop them from DC as they obviously don't care about bloodpoints, otherwise they wouldn't DC in first place.
The only thing that will stop DCs are temporary bans (or permanent if it happens too often) or a low priority system where DCs get put in a separate queue with much longer waiting times. This would also help the fair players to get quicker matches.
That still won't stop people from suiciding though...

When did Jane become a bodybuilder, powerlifter, strong(wo)man etc? Normal people who don't lift can't have 40% more muscle mass than other people who are the same height, gender, age unless the overly muscular person in question has a rare myostatin condition causing overgrowth of muscle tissue. Jane is (slightly) overweight, not sure why some people make a fuzz about it.
If you're a bit thicker than her and you see people calling her fat, it would automatically mean that you're fat aswell. I think that's why some people don't want to call her fat :-)

They've sold millions of copies....millions...does that not count as money to hire devs, not to mention with that money they released another game "deathgarden" which is similar to dbd. They clearly have enough resources to push out new games.
Death Garden was a real success though lul :)
-
Her big booty make her legs appear shorter which makes her look a bit like a fat dwarf (no offense to small people).
Not attractive at all. Probably has to do with the perspective of survivors aswell.
-
I guess they set a limited amount of lobbies at a time so they can see how many ressources are required once they implement dedicated servers.
-
How dare people try to turn a good game into an even better game. You're the reason why ######### games stay #########, because you think giving negative feedback is actually negative.
-
Nothing worse than having 3 attention-whoring teammates that refuse to do gens and instead desperately try to get the Killers attention. Do what's best for the team.
-
The issue is not that you can't pip anymore, it's the fact that especially when you perform excellent, you won't pip because the Emblem System punishes you for that.
A 4k in relative short amount of time, due to good predictions and excellent decisions will result in a black pip while a boring 30 minute doctor 3 gen strat match will result in a pip.
It's not the skill and performance that decides if you pip or not, it's simply the quantity of hooks, hits, chases and sacrifices. Quality is irrelevant, but it should be ALL about quality gameplay.
-
The new emblem system promotes slugging. If you go for a quick 4k you won't pip, you gotta play with your prey, spank them a little before you kill them.
It's what the devs want and consider fun gameplay :)

@Boss It could just be me but full screen it and look... doesn’t it look kind of hazy? because I remember before this patch, the characters waiting in the lobby had better quality ...
FML that reminds me of Ormond. I hope that's not the case for the whole game now.

You need a replacement, otherwise there will always be something missing. Sad but true.
-
I started off as Killer but rotated between the roles pretty soon already, so I ended up getting both my Rank 1 achievements in the same month.
I play more Survivor lately but it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I just don't want to rely on other players so I play Killer all night.
I agree with you that it's very important for people to play both sides equally to really understand all the balance issues in this game.

I expected more maturity, but I can live with that decision.
-
@No_Mither_No_Problem Now I'd be really interested in playing a KYF against you. I'm sure we can find some other players here willing to join for a full lobby, you're in?
-
I have serious trouble understanding what you're trying to say and I think you completly missed my point here.
Of course there is a huge difference between a 110% ms killer and a 115% ms killer, as I clearly stated: You'll catch up with 0,4m per second instead of 0,6m per second which is a huge difference regarding the strength of said Killer.
But we are not talking about the strength of the Killers, we are talking about the difficulty of controlling a Killer. There is effectively no big difference between chasing a Survivor with a 110% Killer or a 115% Killer, skill-wise.
You press W and chase them. That's it. Time will tell when you catch up and are able to hit them. That's the skill required to control them. Now of course some Killers require more experience and map awareness to play efficiently but that doesn't change the difficulty in controlling them. It's just how a Killer can utilize your knowledge, such as mindgames ect. That's an universal skill requirement for every killer, even legion.
I could go on here and list all the Killers powers and the skill requirements to make use of them just to make a point but I think most players will agree that predicting a chainsaw sprint across the map or hit good jukers with the chainsaw is a lot harder than placing traps or landing M1 hits. Hatchets and blinks are the only things that require more skill, arguably also clown bottles, spirit phase walks and maybe doctor shocks. The rest requires less skill to use compared to chainsaw.
...but I guess in the end you're right, I'm just a really bad Billy and DbD player in general so I actually believe landing a 180° chainsaw spin around the corner takes more skill than hitting a basic M1 attack. Taking personal note of that btw, because I didn't expect you to go personal in a discussion about skill requirements of Killers.
-
110% ms killers already have the power to handle loops, I don't see how they would require / profit from those perks...
-
Please explain to me how hitting the chainsaw is easier than hitting a basic M1 attack. Slower movement speed (the example with Legion) has absolutely no impact regarding difficulty, the only difference is that you catch up with 0,4m per second instead of 0,6m per second.
What makes you think a chase with a 110% ms killer is harder than a chase with a 115% killer? What you do is exactly the same, nothing changes regarding gameplay. But as example of Legion, you can hit people during frenzy and moonwalk them to death so the chase is effectively limited by the time it takes until they bleed out. There is no counter to that, it's straight forward math and facts.
Billy chainsaw, even if arguably still easy to hit, is still a lot more difficult than hitting basic M1 attacks.

Billy comes with a drawback, you just won't really notice that when playing Survivor because you're so used to it but as Billy those drawbacks are very present.
After a chainsaw sprint you'll get into a recovery cooldown of ~2 seconds in which you can't move or attack. During this short period of time Survivors can easily win additional distance to reach a pallet or window, which is often enough to turn him into a basic M1 Killer. Sprint Burst obviously makes this an even bigger drawback. During a loop, his power can't really be used.
The second drawback is that his chainsaw can very easily be juked unless you have the perfect distance to the Survivor.
- if you're too far, they can easily juke you the moment your sprint starts
- if you're too close, they can relatively easy confuse you and make you miss the chainsaw by pulling quick 360 around you
Whenever you miss a chainsaw, you get in that recovery I mentioned earlier, which is a lot more punishing than just missing a regular hit. You lose more time, you lose bloodlust and in worst case you accidentally hit a nearby objective which will stun you even longer.
Billy does require skill, it just looks very easy to control him when you watch good players but it's not always that easy. Hitting the chainsaw is ultimately only as easy as Survivors allow it to be.
During loops, knowing when to release the chainsaw and move your mouse to spin around obstacles requires perfect timing and I'm talking about miliseconds here. It's definitly not easy.
Also, what makes you think Billy has the "uncontested easiest-to-hit instadown"? Myers EW3 has aimlock with the biggest lunge in the game, you can't juke that. Leatherface can fully control his chainsaw during the sprint and you don't even have to 99%, you can just charge up and release whenever you feel like without having to keep the charge up manually while keeping track of the Survivor.
Did I already mention that I'm highly offended by the content of this thread? I know I did but I wanna throw that out once again :P

Positively surprised that so many players also consider Billy and Spirit the most balanced Killers.
