I tried playing Hag in a tournament, Survivors disrupted my web when I was busy kicking, breaking walls or when I was just setting up, crarrying survivors. I went up against a survivor team that werent gonna let me create a web...
Tbf hags like Michi who are very experienced can deal with these squads
Are you an experienced hag?
-
This game isn’t designed around tornaments at all. This is a casual game designed for casual players and that’s okay
As for your point as long as flashlights aren’t in play (which they won’t in a tournament) Hag is pretty viable too
-
Apparently the devs use it to record data for killers/maps and perks

Nope. Garbage killer. Garbage rework.
Definitely a C tier killer now and 100% better than pig Myers trapper and current wraith

so you get 4 bottles default freddy gets 8 or 9 blood traps default. he can set them up in advance. The only thing clown can do is get a hit at killer shack (if they dont just run)
Clown can also throw ahead of survivors, Always affect them no matter if their awake, Has a bigger area of effect so it slows for longer and can speed himself up now
-
This needs to be a thing especially to help solos
-
The design they put forward was heavily disliked so they didn’t release it

I know....and its annoying as hell. Which is why I'm not even fully against FNAF because at least it tries to have a scary theme. The other garbage they add just swerves the game into full on joke territory. Which its funny the first "FEW" times...but if it keeps happening it gets kinda stupid.
Have you read trickster’s lore? He’s obviously going to look human like when he performed in front of crowds. The reason certain killers look more monstrous is because either they need the entities help (Doctor or clown) or didn’t comply and got tortured (Trapper and wraith)
Like the legion trickster doesn’t need any help killing therefor he looks very human like legion
-
The main issue with him is his ease of use. Sleep cycles make staying awake consistently difficult and his snares are easy to use and very effective
A
so he is the only killer in the game who never has to slow down his movement speed which was always weird to me

I'm actually disgusted at this Kpop fake killer wannabe scary but actually just looks like a random youtuber with blood splatter....really just some guy wearing normal clothes character.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE....the idea of FNAF in DBD because its essentialy giving an OK to meme the games thematics. Just turning it into one big joke. A joke that they can afford because there isn't much for competition....RIGHT NOW anyway. But if I had to deal with a cheese ass meme I'd rather deal with FNAF than what we currently got out of this pop star meme.....
AT LEAST THE MONSTERS IN FNAF ARE TRYING TO BE CREEPY.....like god damn man...

This game is already a meme

And all good killers will go against is Death Squads, they should improve ranks and leave MMR as just a thought
Exactly
-
It never was a good idea in the first place. All Good survivors are going to fight is nurse and spirit
-
Gate spawns need more consistency. Perfect example is asarovs either they are very easy to patrol or nigh impossible

But not fast enough. Gen rush trumps quick chases.
That’s where effective use of slugging and regression perks come into play
-
Don’t worry about the stun and just try to get the pallet down ASAP

Problem with freddy against swf is that you can hold shift w and just automatically win the match. He has no way of catching up to everyone if everyone just runs when they see him. I had a solo squad the other day do that to a freddy, and he literally only got 1 hook the entire game, because we all just ran before he even got remotely close. He wasn't a bad freddy either.
You can use your teleport potentially but it’s inconsistent
-
@VSchmitt said:
If you put Freddy in S against coordinated teams but put Oni on C... My god...
Freddy is kinda capable of facing SWF due to his inherent slowdown and anti loop aswell as his BT counter. Also has blindness to counter OoO if you suspect it
Oni is and M1 killer for most the match

They consider the Clown rework a success and they're happy with it. This after pretty much everyone said it either sucks or is pointless. Let that sink in, they're in a world of their own over at Behaviour.
The clown rework is all he needed. Extra skill cap and chase potential.
-
Once your very experienced with a certain killer you can end chases very fast as any killer using effective mind games
-
They said in a qna that it isn’t based entirely on kills and escapes

Yeah his slowdown, I've done Adept freddy recently and just that one addon has proved to keep Gens at bay for a whole minute straight, plus me adding pressure
Which ones? If I’m not mistaken swing chains is max 8% and jump rope is like 3%
-
@Dabihwow said:
CLown is better in chases i nfreddy, the only reason that Freddy is very powerful, is because of an add-on
Which addon? His slowdown addons aren’t particularly strong and the rest are forgettable
-
In my over 1000 hours I’ve actually only encountered 1 hacker surprisingly

If they are pretty much on top of you as you drop it than yes it should hit but if they are on or near the other side it shouldn’t connect

I have a lot of respect for what you post, but can you not see the oxymoron of what you’ve presented here?
There is an inescapable correlation between how quickly a killer can end chases and how effective that makes them at using slugging as a pressure tool.
It’s pretty much how I win most of my matches as Clown once one survivor is dead. If the team don’t respect how quickly I can down them, and I spot someone after already having downed someone else, this horrible cycle starts for the team whereby they have little time to work effectively on gens because they’re either in a chase or helping someone else off the ground almost constantly.
While I agree clown is great at ending chases fast you’ve went on record saying you use coulrophobia and mangled to help your slugging ability.
If survivors end up playing safe and spread out clown’s slugging ability is about average and really not great compared to oni nurse or even blight.
Slugging is a necessary part of high level games and clown can do it like any other killer but his actual ability to snowball is pretty average since he needs to reload and has no map traversal to get to his next target.
You are right about your build though I’ve used it not trapper and blight aswell as clown and it works better than you’d expect

I got sent to Badham yesterday as Billy.
The house of pain had the window open above the stairs with the door leading to the outside blocked.
I wanted to DC the moment I saw the window that leads to the garage open and the door that leads in the back of the garage closed. I've had to break 2 walls to fully deny the house of pain....
This is very rare to see but holy ######### ... Why do these things exist??
I think that’s more a problem with the house of pain tbf

but you have to be talking about good survivors when you judge a killer and good survivor will always be spread out so the chances to slug wont happen often unless its endgame in which you have someone hooked and the survivors make some horrible play
Exactly. All the good snowball killers have good mobility so they can go from target to target quickly. Clown simply doesn’t have this ability
-
Badham has the only breakable walls that benefit the killer

you realize that the survivors have to put themselves in that situation you cant do that on your own with clowns low mobility
Even as someone who thinks clown is pretty good like myself his slugging potential is average at best. He is great at ending chases fast though
-
Just learn nurse and looping might aswell not exist

What about the kpop community? Are you okay with them having a chapter.
Haven't seen them being toxic yet, so yeah, whatever.
The fnaf community would not make this game anymore toxic tbh we already have that covered
Agree to disagree. I doubt we'll get anything out of this discussion because it's based entirely on personal opinion and perception.
Fnaf is one of the most popular horror games/franchises in recent years so I think it deserves a spot amongst the licenced cast
I'd rather get my Candyman, but, again, agree to disagree.
That’s fair I do want some different licences before him mainly scissorman from clock tower but I feel like nothing bad could really come of it and it would make dbd feel even more like the smash bros of horror games
-

Yeah, no. Harry Potter had more books and films which were also well received, but it didn't "redefine fantasy". That's not how that works.
It is a very popular game franchise though. Silent hill got in because of that reason so why can’t fnaf. And don’t tell me it isn’t popular and wouldn’t fit
-

Hag at least attacks you. There's some gore there. From what I've seen of FNAF, your deaths are literally just a doll showing up on your screen and a black screen.
Fnaf did kinda redefine horror if it had 6 main series games all of which being very well received.

This answer was copy-pasted from a response I made to a previous discussion because I can't be bothered to re-iterate myself a million times.
Every license that has been added to this game is either from an incredibly iconic horror film, or a video game that defined the genre. The only exception to this is Stranger Things, which itself is a spin on the slasher genre and is generally inoffensive, while I love it's inclusion in this game whether or not it actually belongs here is a whole other debate. The point is that every license that has been added has been in mostly good standing with the general horror community, and fits logically within the game. This game started off as a love letter to classic slashers, and while it has branched off slightly, it is still much of the same. FNAF is a game that revolves around an incredibly hated element of horror, jump scares. In most peoples opinion a jump scare needs to be earned within the context of a film and random ones that are shoehorned in are generally unnecessary and lazy. Now combine that way of thinking with an entire game whose only horror element is jump scares and it's no surprise that people hate it.
Whether or not people think FNAF is actually horror is a massive debate but really doesn't matter within the context of this argument. I could talk about how the whole community is comprised of children which is the last thing DbD needs but that has been said a million times before, what I'm trying to get at is adding a game that relies on cheap horror, to a roster of horror icons, is insulting. I personally don't think that the concept even fits within this game and could be done correctly but that's not why I have a problem with it, it's because of how much of an insult it would be, to have a chuck e cheese animatronic amongst some of the best horror movies ever created. That's why I hate it.
Didn’t fnaf kinda redefine indie horror games? I think that’s enough to warrant it’s inclusion. Also if I’m not mistaken hag was made to be a jump scare killer

It's a kids game that adults play
It’s a horror game about a serial killer who murdered children and stuffed them into animatronic suits. Sure the merchandise became more kid friendly but since it’s based on a fictional pizzeria I guess it makes sense
-
I’d like to add that spring trap as a person was a serial killer so his story would fit rather nicely in DBD

I feel like Haddonfield's graphic rework is gonna be like The Game's. It's gonna look way better, have a lot of cool Easter Eggs, but it's also gonna be spammed with Breakable Walls while none of it's original issue will be fixed.
Probably. The made the chapel a perfect map way worse with breakable walls

It's layout is fine compared to the movie, but as I mentioned in my post, it's atmosphere is entirely different. I also wish there were some references to the movie, like maybe seeing some of the people Michael killed inside some of the houses, or seeing the closet he broke while hunting Laurie. Come to think of it, there's literally like no furniture inside of the Myers house at all.
I think it’s due to the maps age honestly can’t wait to see it’s visual update
-
All I’m saying is I’m not surprise with Yui having the most DCs. Every time the game doesn’t go well they’re the ones to dc
-
I do appreciate the maps accuracy to the film in terms of its layout but it just feels horrible to play
-
That’s nice to hear. Was practising hillbilly against a streamer and they complimented my gameplay when I dropped by it was very encouraging!
-
The best games are the ones where neither side sweat. Sweaty DBD is the most boring DBD
-
Plague and doctor would be the worst imo

The objective is to please the entity by hooking and sacrificing survivors not killing them after 5 hooks
