As for red ranks that’s just due to there being too many survivor players. They wait 10+ minutes for a match so the rank bracket expands
As for pips devour hope is not a good way to get pips if that’s what your after. My advice is to not worry about them as it will just make you get tilted
-
Billy mains always try their hardest but usually end up hurting the team more. Still love them though

You can slow down the early game, yes. And you´ll see more prove thyself or resilience and gen rush, because survs can't do anything against so many killers.
Only killers survivors can’t do much about are nurse and spirit who both need nerfs. The rest are either balanced or underpowered
-

But if you add some kind of second objective for survs, this only will do gen rush worse. This only can't be the solution.
Never said a secondary objective. Something to slow down the early game a bit is enough

Or like nerfing heal speed to slowdown gens.
This is spiraling out of control.
Yeah something needs to be done about gen speeds though I’d rather they don’t just make them take longer. Some kind of early game collapse would be fine
-
@Tsulan said:

So your solution to balance out gen rushes is to nerf killers?
Thats a bold statement. Especially since you name Clown as being OP.
So, lets just assume, the devs would nerf each and every single killer. Do you think the gen rushing would stop?
It’s like when people say making gens slower would stop tunnelling. People are always going to play like that
-
Sometimes you’re gonna lose. If you want to play this game you have to accept that. You probably made multiple mistakes that cost you the win
-
It’s not really that viable. A lot of maps are quite bright and hiding spots are well known
Aura perks like BBQ or tracking perks like whispers make it a lot harder to effectively stealth
I personally find it rather boring but you you enjoy it go ahead just do the objectives aswell

Demo is a mediocre killer at best with practically every other killer outperforming him in terms of abilities. @Pulsar is right, why play Demo when we have other killers?
To put into a brief reasoning, Demo isn't stealthy (like he should be with portals nearby) nor is he unpredictable:
- His shred is one of the easiest countered things in the game with it being VERY similar to Billy's sprint except it doesn't 1-shot you.
- His portals don't work if the survivor has half a brain with any type of map awareness/sound. Not to mention, he *of course* makes an audio cue when he teleports through one.
- He broadcasts every single action he does to the entire map. Hit somebody? RAAAAA! Miss an attack? (idk how to describe this sound) Pallet stunned? *whistle sound*. This is a huge disadvantage.
I'm sorry, but it makes sense as to why others don't like to play Demo much. Sure, there are some hardcore fans out there that just want to play Demo because he's Demo, but that's as much as you'll usually get. Almost every single Demo I've gone against has lost, and it wasn't even a close game.
I know he isn’t that good but he’s still a decent killer. Without rat liver he is garbage though

Perhaps they could add individual character levels that add up to your account level?
You might face a Nurse that's Devotion 5, but their account is Devotion 7, which means they spent a lot of time on Nurse than anything else! 😅
Like for honours rep system?

He's a jack of all trades, master of none.
If you want ranged attacks, why play Demo when you can use Huntress, Deathslinger or Freddy?
You want stealth, why play Demo over Myers, GhostFace, Wraith or Pig?
You want map traversal? Why play Demo over Nurse, Billy, Oni or Blight?
You want anti-loop? Why play Demo over Deathslinger, Clown, Nurse or Spirit?
Say what you will about his strength, but the play rates cannot lie, he's unpopular. He's painfully mid-tier (imo) and has nothing unique or special about him.
I've got some ideas for him, if you'd care to hear, if not I totally understand but I love Demo and I want him to be interesting.
I’d love to hear them!
He is mid tier but tiers don’t really have a direct correlation with strength. Myers is one of the most played and he’s garbage imo
Guess most people play him because the want to be the demogorgon
-
@Pulsar said:
He's boring. He's a mid-tier Killer with a boring power and because of that, nobody really plays him.
He could've been so interesting too. I hope he gets a complete rework like Freddy did.
What’s boring about him? Shredding is very fun at tiles and portals give him tracking and mobility
Only killer who needs a full rework is nurse
-
I mean it’s meant to be pretty unlikely to escape
Also bad gate spawns can cause the killer to lose outright

They could make the grind side harder if you want to get the cosmetics but not lose your entire inventory if you want to get them, for example.
I’d rather just have a different system
Let’s take clown for example
P3 head: Get 100 3ks with the clown
P2 Outfit: Hit 150 direct bottles
P1 Knife: Hit 100 intoxicated survivors
-
It counts as a sacrifice but you’d be better off just playing normally
-
@sad_killer_main said:

But I also want to get the cosmetics. I just think the prestige system is bad designed.
The prestige cosmetics are meant to show your devotion to said character. If they were easy to grind they would mean less than they already do
-
@Mooks said:
Agreed, easiest way would be converting them to Bloodpoints, but less than you actually spent. This would also soften the heavy grind of the game a little bit
I don’t hate the idea but there is a potential problem.
Let’s say I’m upgrading clown. I have 100 of every brown addon. His browns are pretty underwhelming so I’m going to scrap them all to get more flasks of bleach.
It would encourage killers to use their strongest addons a lot more. This would be very annoying with cerkillers like oni or spirit
-
I mean all you get is some bloody clothes so it’s completely optional. If you don’t want to lose your items just don’t prestige then
-
The numbers on swift hunt are pretty bad so it’s unlikely they’ll work best just to find an LOS blocker to uncloak at
-
@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
Why would you play a hearing reliant killer when you have bad hearing equipment
Exactly. I have bad aim so why would I play huntress?
-
Yeah happens with oni sometimes too where you’re like “oh wait the games over?.
-
Depends on who you’re playing. Nurse and spirit can usually deal with most squads fair
-
I think after the windstorm base wraith will be better. Ghostface can get looped easily and can’t traverse the map as fast
-
How about [Someone can’t take a loss]?
-
Here it is

It's the survivors version of camping/tunneling: doing your job with the least amount of effort. And like camping/tunneling, it's often the right play. But unlike camping/tunneling its always effective.
It’s effective most the time but certain killers like oni nurse and blight make it pretty useless
-
I enjoy off meta until I get into a lobby with no obsession since I’m not running ds
You can guess what happens next
-
I’d say take a break from the game. No new content until next week anyway 1 week can make a huge difference
-
They need double bp base or bbq is staying on
-
I’d rather it be a single time. If it was 3 times I feel soul guard and no mither would be obsolete. After this DS nerf unbreakable should be fine
-
I’d love this. Having a way to show your time in a single character would be great

they have the manpower and resources to pull it off, or would you rather the game continue to be awful? I'm guessing you are they guy that buys every skin and chapter and rift pass because if you think the argument of "OmG mUh cOnTeNt" is good enough to warrant the state that dbd is in, then you are apart of the problem.
I don’t buy skins regularly and use my auric cells from the rift to buy the next one. The game is in an okay state at the moment but trickster chapter will probably bring in more bugs
New content is great for player retention
-
Just bring a medkit if you need to self heal. Most of the other items are garbage anyway
-
@RhysTheDemo said:

so uhh, why arent they fixing it?
That would take an immense amount of time and would halt content completely

No one here yet actually answered my question as to why the devs wanted to address what made the combo so strong yet conveniently no one speaks on why it also can be so weak, great to see even the comments have the unbiasedness of a twitter raver.
You know totems perks are meant to be risk reward right? You bring the best slowdown perk in the game(ruin) and if it goes down early well that’s the risk of bringing it
undying gave you pretty much no risk and all the reward
ow it’s a second chance for your totem like it should have been
-
@ClownIsUnderrated said:
There's already enough as it is... More chapters just bring more bugs, to many perks as it is, and not wanting to address game health as a whole.
New content brings new players in and keeps the old ones coming back.

theres a difference to camping and being toxic tho.
But he was just camping no?
-
Rather have that then them all spawning on separate gens
-
It’s boring but camping is a strategy
-
Midwich is the worst map in the game period
-
They did listen they just didn’t choose to do it
-
It’s just annoying to play against as certain killers like doctor who can’t counter it. It’s why I like playing clown so much right now he shuts the strategy down
-
I just go for hooks now and if I get kills great but that’s not at the forefront of my mind
-
Deathslinger would make an interesting western horror film
-
Winning a chase is getting a Mettle of man stack
-
Nurse is busted but they’re not changing her anytime soon unfortunately
-
@MadLordJack said:
Most of my killer experience isn't great. I could deal with the toxic players and the broken builds, but what's really hurting is the sheer lack of gameplay. I play any killer other than Blight, Nurse or Spirit and it's hold W time. Every pallet is predropped except maybe shack. No-one tries to loop, no-one tries to do anything but predrop pallets and hold that W key really hard. And then, on the off chance they somehow didn't do gens fast enough, out come the second chances to ruin the remainder of my day.
Fun, engaging gameplay. I've stopped playing even remotely nice to survivors that do that, there's just no point. It's too strong and too... Tunnelly/campy.
Yeah most pallets are too safe from my experience
-
I see devour more than haunted. If it’s a spirit though I’ll be more cautious

Instadowns are hard against good survs because of the small fov when reving the chainsaw, add the weird surv movement due to the dedicated servers
You can always run shadowborn if you have problems with FOV. A lot of hillbilly’s use it

he was only before the nerf unfortunately
Still has great mobility and an decent chase with fast pallet breaks and instadowns. Definitely A tier
