That's one of Wraiths best add-ons imo. Being able to see which generator has the most progress and which of the others are also being worked on gives the killer a lot of information! Indirectly it tells you where survivors are on maps without you needing to use a perk slot for aura-reading like BBQnChili or Lethal persuer or Discordance.
Back in the day before Pop Goes the Weasel was nerfed, I used to use that add-on with Pop, and it worked out great!

I don't think BHVR cares all too much about DBD anymore, not while they can focus on MyM instead 🤷🏻

"He was really toxic from the start of the match so killed myself"
Then he didn't tunnel or camp you, because you were on first hook. Then you tried to give up, and the killer wouldn't let you. I do this too if a survivor tries to give up. Its BS, it denies me bloodpoints, it denies their team a chance at winning, and i honestly think it should be bannable.
Better question you should ask yourself. What did you do to get tunneled and camped? Do you run dead hard? Because the best counter to deadhard is to tunnel someone off the hook, hit them, so they get deep wounds, and now instead of dealing with 3 health states, you only have to deal with 1.
Try running perks that discourage the killer from tunneling you, not encouraging it. Run off the record, have your friend run borrowed time, run decisive strike.
What are you even on about? Did you read what you yourself wrote? Because you're making zero sense.
What type of utter BS is it to think that killers SHOULD tunnel someone just because they MIGHT run Dead Hard, a perk that is for everyone to use? And how does someone who has just been unhooked have 3 health states??
There is no counter to a hard-tunneler. Most killers hit you instantly off hook, so that diminishes OTR. DS in its current state is an absolute joke of a perk. But to think that the best counter to DH is to tunnel... What has this player-base come to 😅😅😅

Way less petty than making sure someone gets eliminated from the game because they brought something for more BP. It's more pathetic, but it's not as petty as going "you wanted more BP, so I'll make sure you get the least BP".
It's people like him that make this game horrendous. Imagine being that petty and think that you're doing okay.

Could not agree more! I don't understand how Garden of Pain has an infinite window, even after old Haddonfield. Cowshed is one of the most frustrating maps to play on as killer, same as with Borgo, it doesn't require skill or regardless of how much you try to mind-game and so on, survivors can just hold W from one safe pallet to the next.
Also, kinda wish they made the Game more like Midwhich; way less pallets and a few more windows.

only if all 4 survivors put an offering.
if one doesn’t then it’s left out.
and even with all of that you still go out of your way to tunnel them out??? 💀

You can’t tell who puts what offering. That was meant for hyperbole and comedic purposes. Only killer’s offering is distinguishable. At least not until after the match is over.
🙄
You can tell ;) the order it goes by is the same as when you're loaded into the trial and you press Esc to see the offerings, it's by the same order of the names you see :) Edit: also THAT was your attempt at comedy? lmao

yeah. I dislike those players. Just play the game. Imagine being the player that gets hook farmed so killer and survivor duo can get challenges or complete an event.
I mean you can do both (do your archives and get as much possible BP) without farming.
I personally will not go out of my way to tunnel someone out just because they put in an offering like you said you would in your initial post. Now if they are intentionally ratting out their teammates/sandbagging/hook farming and so on then that's a whole different case.

Just because it was changed doesn't mean it's still not a problem. People on this thread have made perfectly reasonable points as to why the perk is problematic, clearly you're the one with the problem.
Do you see me whine about it? I use it as a survivor and it works 50% of the time, and as killer, I can almost always bait it out and if a survivor reads that and still manages to dodge a hit, good on them! Don't come to me telling me whether I have a problem when you're whining about a perk that has already significantly gotten nerfed. Deal with it :)

If I’m killer and someone brings blood point offerings i kill them first.
This is the second time you've said something along these lines. You must be a really fun person, with no issues whatsoever :)
At OP, I agree that you cannot force people to farm. Although sometimes it's not farming as a whole, but 1 survivor rather working with the killer to rat out their teammates and farm them, and they often end up getting hatch themselves. 😒
-
Nancy, Steve, and comp Claudette's.
-
I do when there's a player whose name and hours are dodgy, and they seem like someone who might be cheating or using exploits.
Another reason is, depending on my previous games sometimes I just want to chill and do my archives and not get sent to a map by SWF-bully squads with Boil Over and Sabbo-toolboxes :)

I do not understand why tunneling and facecamping is not considered "taking the game hostage".. I paid for this game to actually be able to play.. Not to be tunneled out of every other match before I get to even touch a gen, or get facecamped the entire match , provide the killer with points while being beaten repeadetly on hook and get almost no BP for the "trouble".
I have very limited time to play between work and family-life and having to waste so much time on being held hostage on hook or being tunneled out of the game just to wait 5-10 mins for it to happen again is simply not acceptable. People are paying for a game they are being denied to play in way too many matches and I really don't understand this is considered a "valid strategy"? If it was only a match here and there I would be okay with it, but it's more common than not . I can't speak for the American servers, but on the EU servers, it's really really bad.
"We tunnel and camp cause we get genrushed".. No.. you tunnel and camp cause it's easy and the points makes it worth it. Almost every killer starts hardcore tunneling and facecamping at 5 gens.. before they even know what kind of team they are dealing with. I think there is a difference between camping and tunneling towards the end-game if you have a hard time keeping pressure, and I understand that it can be neccesary to keep the last gens from popping.. But if the team is down to 3 survivors after one gen the balance is no longer fair, especially in solo que.
Killers are always complaing about SWF, but it's the only option to counter the camping and tunneling.. I have been playing Solo Survivor my entire DBD career and I find myself playing killer more and more often to actually be able to play the game and for the first time I find myself searching online for SWF to play with, cause I get tired of people not doing gens while I get camped or loop the killer.. Is killing solo que entirely really the goal here DEVS? Cause it's beginning to look like it's where we are heading.
Back in the day, there were streamers whose games were held hostage in the sense of they literally could not end it; sometimes for longer than 6 hours or even longer.
Unless the killer or a teammate is actively preventing you from moving around e.g. body-blocking you in a corner for a very long time, I don't think much else is considered as being held hostage. BHVR has now made it so that no game can last longer than 2 hours.

I believe that is subjective to the gamers headset. I hear wraith a mile away.
lmao same, but then I also remember not to actively give myself tinnitus, so turn it down lol, but once you know who it's going to be when you're paying attention you know when they're near you anyways.

Everyone says oh the counter to Wraith is you can hear him growling...uh fun fact no I can't even with volume up at the loudest I don't hear it either I've gone completely deaf or everyone has super powers.
Because I seriously can't hear Wraith's growling noise people say he has(when he doesn't) so basically like always Wraith has no counter or I just have an extremely old version of the game where Wraith never had a growl.
Its level is comparable to the sound of Michael's breathing when he's near you or the wooshing of Ghostface's clothes/his footsteps. You only hear it when they are near you, which gives you enough time to respond accordingly but not enough to make their stealth powers useless.
I highly recommend you to play them, that way you get a lot of feel for their audio, their movements, strengths, and weaknesses! ^^
-
If you hover your mouse pointer on it for a second then move it away, it goes away quicker! I reckon that might be a bit more difficult to do with a controller.
-
I mean kinda? When I joined this forum a whole different crowd of people used to comment daily, now almost none of them have access to the forums so to speak 💀
Also the discussion points have been the same complaints over and over again, which gets old real fast.

Maybe with Iri. The only chapters I've bought have been RE ones.
-
Temple/Mother's Dwelling as both Nemi and GF, they're SO big. And not to forget that the zombies always get stuck on something there
-
I'm going to add that you also sometimes have invisible skill-checks.
-
My games have been 40-50: 40% killers hard tunnel from the get-go. 50% were camping from the get-go (be it Nurse/Blight/Whatever). 10% of chill killers :) they made a lot good though, love that 10%.

Well i never saw any incentive for killer not to do it. Not from the game itself and definitely not from the majority of survivors.
I played intentionally fair and friendly for two years and for the majority of the time survivor behaved just indifferent or even toxic and used a killer going "easy" on them to style on the killer and rub the escape in instead of being grateful for the exception of a no tunneling/camping killer.
And I don't care if you people in this thread personally do show appreciation, the majority doesn't.
BBQ & Chili used to be way more common and was a great incentive to not camp! The same goes for Pop Goes the Weasel, and it used to be really good for a gen regression perk. Enough amount of pressure but not oppressing.
This last year, I've noticed that in almost every game at least 1 person has Prove Thyself now and toolboxes, which wasn't as prominent a year ago. I really miss the old meta of Ruin and Pop, even DMS and Pain Res.
-
I play killer, and I don't resort to playing a Nurse that camps on 5 gens and tunnels. Same for Blights. It's gotten ridiculous.
-
I mean is it that shocking? After the horrendous chapter that was "the Knight" with the insane amount of bugs after the PTB and errors on the maps it caused as well?
-
Ooh that's a nice idea!
-
Knight. I just can't with the chronic proxy camping and hard-tunneling from his players anymore, it's literally the same every single Knight match. I'd rather get face-camped by a Bubbs in his pretty suit ya'know, even the ones that hit you non-stop on hook and stay with you until death does you part <3 Just NO MORE KNIGHT 😖

So does that mean if you play a singleplayer game and you get destroyed you beat yourself into the ground?
Lmfao 💀 you really to ask that huh?!
To OP: People can get really tilted at games, some because they can't stand to lose or they were too invested and are bummed that they lost in whatever type of way. Others have some mental unpacking to do, the root of their issue usually isn't losing a game, but the game is what it's getting projected on and the players by proxy. I think the best thing to do in such endgame chats, is just click "Continue" asap and forget about them. 🤷🏻
-
Because on some servers there's quite a language barrier, like the EU ones. Not everyone speaks English, yet you're being paired up with people from all across Europe, so that would make communication very difficult. And people who play with friends already have access to comms elswhere.
-
I think it might be lag with the game/servers overall. This has happened after some matches as well, where you see the map without anything on it with different lighting, and so on.

I've been feeling crushingly depressed all day and nothing helps me feel better like running into a bully squad (/s); constantly getting hit with Head-On and not even when in chases; I'd just be walking by a locker while patrolling and they would hit me with it. Constant teabagging after pallet drops and vaults and so on.
It made me want to just quit the match rather than put up with that kind of behavior except I'd be the one who gets punished by the system. I could have just gone to a corner and AFK'ed but most toxic survivor players will hold the game hostage if they can and refuse to leave until the EGC is just about to end, standing in the exit gates just so they can mock you knowing there's nothing you can do to stop them from escaping.
It's the sort of thing that just makes me want to quit playing DbD outright. I ended up sobbing after the match for 15 minutes because it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me after how miserable I had been feeling all day.
Awww first of all big hug! That's rough to hear. Sometimes people can get insanely petty and childish, forgetting that this is after all just a game, and everyone involved is another HUMAN being who is also there to have fun.
Maybe play with friends for a while? Or perhaps hop on at different times of the day. Because that sometimes really makes quite the difference! If the games really aren't fun just play something else that does cheer you up, my personal fave game to switch to after rough matches is the Sims 4 lmao, nothing but building aesthetically pleasing houses! 😜

Eryie of Crows is kinda a graveyard map, though it lacks all the horror genre atmosphere. It's a beautiful map though.
I'd like to see an abandoned ghostship map. Or a crashed spaceship if they ever get an Alien/Predator license.

By the same argument force killer to pick up survivor if he walks on and behind the survivor. That's also a gesture of disrespect that killers are doing. Let's intentionally forget that said killer could be faking pickup to make a survivor reveal himself (survivor trying to dodge some ability). It's BM most of the time so punish the other side for something that angers me because it's used for showing disrespect and so it angers me even if it literally does nothing really malicious.
Also do that for anything else in a future that will take it's place - resulting in need to freeze both parties and not allowing them to play the game - because there will always be some kind of move to show disrespect (next up is freeze camera movement, because head nods on both sides are super toxic).
Oh gosh, I'd all but forgotten about Killers that do that, gave some really unfun flashbacks to Demo's... yikes. IDK honestly, I've said my piece already. We'll see if BHVR does something about it or not. I know that I'm just going to zone the F out when stuff like that happens and ignore it xD cus at the end of the day, stuff like that says a lot about that person and nothing about you.
-
Just thought of something, if BHVR could make their crouching stances more stealthy and add a second delay to it, it would fix this. Like say, if they're hiding behind a rock, why not have them crouch with one knee bent and hold onto the rock in front of them with their hands or whatever object it is in front of them?
-
Nope, on a rotate of Bubbas, Nurses and Philps

As others have said, it's not an issue. Just try to see it as a weird way of them dancing ;) might make it less frustrating.

Anyone who says dbd is "just like any other gaming community" I think really need a wake up call. I have played every "toxic" game under the sun (League, overwatch, CoD, CSGO, Etc.) and i have never seen a community or at least a portion of the community willing to celebrate changes that are inherently bad for the game as long as it affects the other side. People were openly celebrating not even a month ago at the POSSIBILITY that Bubba wasn't going to be purchasable. DBD really attracts the worst types of people.
I think the Bubba thing might have been because of the way most players used to play him; by face-camping. And it isn't really always on the players, but on the game itself, and how the devs never did anything about Bubba being so strong as a face-camper. The funny thing is that Billy can do that just as well, but somehow Billy mains refrained from becoming blatant face-campers throughout the years.

QOL changes can be buffs, or end up being buffs at the same time, I have no idea why this is the new "unpopular but true" opinion.
In my games, Survivors now consistently get more gens done than before, namely because the inefficiency solo queue teams have is gone, and 80% of the strongest parts of SWF are now basekit. Killer now needs to be buffed to compensate, otherwise tunneling and full gen slowdown will be needed. Buffing Killer after buffing solo to SWF levels was step 2 of this own community's balance plan, and I hope this community can handle that happening.
Huh, why was I tagged in this?
