Survivors forcing point farms on other survivors / the killer

Recently had a game against a Blight who had 6 hooks and 1 kill while we were at 4 gens (Overcharge and Pain Res were the only 2 perks I knew about).

I noticed that every time Nancy got chased, either me or Yui were forced off a gen shortly after. Then it became clear what Nancy was up to when the Blight walked right past her while chasing me (3x). She started to vault the pallet just to prevent me from using it so the Blight could down me.

I was farmed off the hook and instead of Blight killing me, he slugged. I held the Sprint button to deny Nancy the heal/pickup and would rather bleed out over 4 minutes. The Blight kept swinging at me, as if telling the Nancy to pick me up (not knowing why she couldn't) until the Yui showed up. Then Blight gave up and killed all 3 of us.

Found out after the match that Nancy and Blight both burned Party Streamer offerings...

It's 2023. There are plenty of Bloodpoints as is. No need to force other surivors to farm against their will.

  • Man, you have problems.

I can´t remeber when i got a friendly farming killer the last time. I would be happy.

Also BP are never enough to have.

  • people always want the normal sweat on both sides they can't enjoy a farm game/chill game.

The killer showed NO chill when he hooked and pain res'd and kicked gens and ditched chases to defend gens and hit-and-run until it opportunisitic to down. They played sweaty, as if there were only 1 gen remaining instead of only 1 gen completed. Wasn't about to farm with them; especially after being griefed by Nancy!

  • Can we hold Sprint (while the killer is within 32 meters) to deny being unhooked? Thanks

  • Yea.. if people bring BPS I try and let them maximize on their BP. Why are you complaining?

The killer showed no signs of going easy. Seemed it was the Nancy's idea for farming, and her way of going about it was kiting the killer to other survivors, bodyblocking them, and unhooking them in the killer's face against their will.

It was a 1-sided farm. He wasn't letting anyone do gens. He was working with Nancy so they could both get points.

Noted. I'll make sure to bring bloodparty streamers...so I can get killed first.

despite it's rare to find people that want to farm points, i'm with op, you can't force other people to farm...

This remind me of the match that i had yesterday: playing with pinhead with his 2 brown addons and a build for chilling, 1st chase a survivor was upset for being mindgamed twice, ending the chase in short time so she was self suiciding on hook on purpose (later she was saved before being completely killed by the entity tho, and despite i was near the hook i hitted her once, activating her basekit bt and ignored her on purpose, in order to show them that i was playing chill, not interested to kill, but that idiot didn't mend herself...), same after another survivor did a similar thing, the other 2 survivors weren't even trying to do gens at this point, they were spamming emotes... at that point i was just tired of the match since that wasn't fun and the thought of farm points wasn't even an option that i was considering (i wanted a normal match, plus i don't need bp right now) so i just hooked them both in order to end this farce. endgame chat was annoying since those 2 fools call me out for tryharding and not let them farm with 2 people in their team that were essencially trolling. Imagine complaining about the killer for not farming/playing the game instead of being angry toward the other 2 survivors that ruined the match for everyone (me included). Btw nice way to boost the killrate of the killers with those people around...

This is the second time you've said something along these lines. You must be a really fun person, with no issues whatsoever :)

At OP, I agree that you cannot force people to farm. Although sometimes it's not farming as a whole, but 1 survivor rather working with the killer to rat out their teammates and farm them, and they often end up getting hatch themselves. 😒

yeah. I dislike those players. Just play the game. Imagine being the player that gets hook farmed so killer and survivor duo can get challenges or complete an event.

  • Half the playerbase want chill killers who dick about and farm BP.

Half the playerbase want no-nonsense tryhard killers who just kill you and get it over with.

The reason why everyone is so unhappy is these people end up in the same lobby.

Congratulations, you just ruined each others game. Your contribution was stubbornness though, and you could have saved yourself some time if you'd just let Nancy pick you up.

And FYI, even the sweatiest killers, playing like this, maximising hooks, can result in the best scores for everyone. When I play killer, I tend to sweat at the start of the game, because this allows me the advantage of controlling the pace of the game and maximising hooks, and I don't yet know the calibre of survivor I'm up against. I can then let survivors score rescues without throwing the game for myself. In the end, whether I let survivors escape or kill everyone, all players end up walking away with massive BP scores.

I have played games like this, with an absolutely 100% intention of letting survivors go. I sweat at the start to secure my lead, intentionally leave the hook to make room for rescues. Try to hook everyone once. But then some smartarse survivor thinks they're going to 'counter my toxicity' by pulling some stupid play that denies me a hook, like giving up or DCing or bodyblocking at the stupidest time, or I suppose holding sprint to prevent their teammates from picking them up. I end up being forced to kill survivors, even when I was planning on letting everyone escape for the BP. Sometimes it's my own fault for overplaying, and no gens have been repaired by the time someone gives up and dies, putting survivors in a no-hope position. But a lot of the time, it's the survivors refusing to play.

I can't tell you this killer was doing the same, but it's a distinct possibility.

I mean you can do both (do your archives and get as much possible BP) without farming.

I personally will not go out of my way to tunnel someone out just because they put in an offering like you said you would in your initial post. Now if they are intentionally ratting out their teammates/sandbagging/hook farming and so on then that's a whole different case.

You can’t tell who puts what offering. That was meant for hyperbole and comedic purposes. Only killer’s offering is distinguishable. At least not until after the match is over.

You can tell ;) the order it goes by is the same as when you're loaded into the trial and you press Esc to see the offerings, it's by the same order of the names you see :) Edit: also THAT was your attempt at comedy? lmao

only if all 4 survivors put an offering.

if one doesn’t then it’s left out.

I'd say it's understandable. If you only have an hour to play a handful of matches, having a match where no one plays normally and and you can't move on can be infuriating. You loaded up dbd to play a cat and mouse slasher horror game (as advertised) not cookie clicker so when people force you to farm with them for several minutes it can start to feel lame. If people want to farm that's chill but don't be annoyed when someone wants out so they can play the game as intended.

I tunnel without offerings. Depends on the day. Sometimes i just dont like tokyo drifter nea. Sometimes i see bill and think… bill should die. Other times i think to myself… youre the chosen one and kill the obsession. Flavor of the day. Maybe even flavor of the hour.

Way less petty than making sure someone gets eliminated from the game because they brought something for more BP. It's more pathetic, but it's not as petty as going "you wanted more BP, so I'll make sure you get the least BP".

all you got to do is be good enough to get away 🙃

if you can do that then you’re basically being given free chase bloodpoints.
